[ The Heroes Origins ]
_______________

Update - 08/05/2022 Rewrote King Club's introduction.

• No One's POV •

Since the creation of the universe, the Gods Myrus, and Draxus, created a magical deck of cards called super cards. These cards have the ability to grant the cardholder powers depending on which card the holder acquires. With all the cards within the deck, only two cards were the most powerful.

The Ace of Diamonds super card grants the ultimate power of destruction while its counterpart, The Ace of Spades super card grants the power of ultimate power of creation.

With a special incantation, these super cards a has the ability to grant the cardholder, ultimate power, and a wish which could change reality itself.

It's been approximately two weeks since a worker in the Fashion and Arts Industry found not only the super card grimoire but also found two super cards during his recent trip from Paris France.

Now standing up from his cushion seat, the thirty-three-year-old man walked over to the portrait on the wall in his office. He stared at the portrait for a moment or two before removing it and placing it on the tiled flooring. Looking up, he saw his closed safe.

Putting in the safe's combination, the man opened the safe to reveal a framed picture, cash, credit cards, passports, the super cards grimoire, and the super cards, within their respective boxes. As he was about to pick up the nearest box, his eyes glanced over to the second box and picked it up, revealing that it was the king of clubs super card, and closed the safe's door.

He stared at the card box for a brief moment then opened the small box, taking out the super card. Suddenly, a bright orange-colored light swirled around the thirty-three-year-old man and stopped in front of him revealing a tiger cub.

"Hello again, it seems you've reconsidered my agreement." The tiger cub said, levitating his body. The man smirked and then asked, "Simon, how do I transform?"

Simon, the tiger cub glanced over at the closed portrait, then back at his new master. "Just say, Simon, let's party." Simon happily purred. Repeating the phrase, the man began his transformation sequence. The man disappear and there now stood a supervillain by the name of King Club.

He wore a white button-up shirt, black dressing pants, black dressing shoes, a dark red button-up blazer, and black gloves. He also wore an overcoat due to the extremely cold weather.

King Club also wore a face mask with four clubs, two were at the corner of his grey-colored eyes. Simon was now a fully grown tiger, with a black cape tied around his furred neck.

King Club closed his eyes as he could feel a powerful surge of negative energy within the City but specifically at Bridgeport High School.

"It looks like we have our first Victim." King Club thought as he snapped his fingers, both disappearing into thin air.

As the warm wind blew through the icy cold atmosphere, Ashley the Hamster; Guardian Pet; abruptly woke up from her slumber breathing heavily. "What seems to be the problem, Ashley?" Lin Blossom; the last known Guardian of the Super Card Box asked, her hands gently petting the Hamster.

Ashley exclaimed, "Master, I felt a very powerful negative aura on the King Of Clubs Super Card." Lin was shocked by this news, she thought that the King Of Clubs Super Card was lost along with the Queen Of Hearts Super Card. "I see, but due to my current condition, I won't be able to fight this new threat," Lin said, with a heavy sigh.

"I know this is dangerous but I think we may need the Ace of Spade and Diamond Super Cards," Lin said, knowing that only these Super Cards had a fighting chance.

"Earlier."

It was a busy Tuesday morning in the City of Lilac Rose. Many individuals were on the streets carrying out their daily lives. At the famous Summers Light Diner or Home; a boy with jet black hair and pale brown eyes slept soundly in his bed while his alarm rang for the last fifteen minutes.

Alvin Summers, the father of Justin Summers, came into the brunette's room and turned off his alarm. "Hey Justin, wake up," Alvin said, with a smile upon his rosy tint cheeks. "No. Just give me a couple of hours more." Justin groaned, covering his face using his pillow. This made Alvin chuckle..

"Come on Champ, wake up. You don't want to be late for your first day back at school." Alvin said, with a raised eyebrow. Justin groaned into the pillow then slowly sat up with a few strands of his hair covering his right eye. Justin sighed then said, "Alright, I'm wake."

"Good. Hurry and get dressed, then come down to the Diner." Alvin said, ruffling his son's messy bed hair with a smile on his cheeks then exit the brunette's room. With a sigh, Justin hopped out of bed to get ready for a new semester ahead.

Alvin wore a 3/4 cuffed sleeved cuffed dark blue button-up shirt; black dressing pants; shoes and a white apron wrapped around his waist. His chocolate-colored hair was neatly brushed back.

About fifteen minutes later, Justin came downstairs and sat on a cushioned stool around the island wearing a white T-shirt; dark blue jeans; black converse; a dark blue beanie; black gloves; a black Duffle Coat for the seriously cold weather, and a one-strap bag over his shoulders.

"Morning Justin, you ready for your first day in the Tenth grade?" Alvin asked, as he the brunette's breakfast in front of him on the island's counter. "To be honest, I don't know. I just hope Drake isn't in my class." Justin replied, picking up his knife and fork to cut into his pancakes. "Three times in a row! Is that even possible?" Alvin exclaimed, knowing that Justin and Drake are sworn, enemies.

"Drake is the Mayor's son after all," Justin said, placing both the knife and fork on his empty plate. But in the process, Justin's elbow accidentally knocked over his cup of milk and spilled it all over the island's countertop. The brunette sighed, knowing that his clumsiness was going to be problematic this year. "Your lucky we haven't opened yet, I'll clean this up. Also, here's a box of chocolate chip cookies to share with your new classmates." Alvin said, handing his on a medium-sized box.

"Thanks, Dad," Justin exclaimed, as he took the medium box from his Dad and waved goodbye as exit the Diner.

Meanwhile, somewhere else in the City, there was another guy getting ready for his first day at Public School by the name of Shawn Falconer. Shawn is a handsome fair-skinned slender sixteen-year-old teenage boy with straight brushed red hair; emerald green eyes; and has rosy tint on his cheeks, nose, and the tip of his ears.

He is also a British Citizen who moved into the Lilac Rose along with his mother. "Shawn, please hurry, or else you'll be late for school." His Mom, Ashley Falconer called out from downstairs. With a sigh, Shawn replied "Coming."

Not wanting his mother to be upset, he grabbed both his white padded coat and his dark blue bag and dashed downstairs. His Mom, Ashley Falconer, was standing outside the front door wearing a white long-sleeved button-up shirt, a grey suit, black flats, and a grey trench coat.

As Shawn exited and closed the front door, she quickly hurried him into the car, started the car, and drove off. It's been about ten minutes into the drive Ashley decided to break the silence. "So, Shawn do you think you'll make any friends at your school?" She asked, her eyes fixated on the road. Shawn glanced through the glass window of the car letting out a heavy sigh.

"To be honest, I'm not really sure. I've been homeschooled for almost fifteenth years of my life I'm not sure how to make friends." Shawn replied, his eyes scanning the environment as they drove by. "Come cheer up, a little birdy told me that one of your old friends Drake will be attending the same school," Ashley said, this made Shawn smile knowing one of his childhood best friends was attending the same school.

After thirty minutes of the drive, they finally arrived at Bridgeport High School. "Have a great day Shawn," Ashley said, giving her son a hug. Shawn gave smile, then returned the hug and exit the car. Waving goodbye, he watched his mother as she drove away and faced the institution.

"Help, please!" A fragile voice called out. Shawn looked over and saw an elderly lady with pepper and salt hair trying to pick up her wooden cane which was far beyond her reach. Shawn watched both as both adults and teens passed the elderly lady as if she wasn't there. With a sigh, Shawn walked over to the wooden cane, picked it up, and helped the elderly lady.

"Thank you, young man." She said, with a smile on her face. "It's no problem Ma'am, I'm just happy to help," Shawn replied, waving goodbye as he ran into School. The elderly lady smirked, and walked off muttering "You're the one."

Panting heavily, Justin made his way through the crowded streets of Lilac Rose, then came to a stop at the pedestrian crosswalk near Bridgeport High School. His pale brown eyes widened in shock as saw an elderly lady struggling to cross the street. Looking around, Justin saw that the adults behind him were either talking with their friends or texting on their phones.

Suddenly, the traffic light changed to green and a car came speeding down the street in the direction of the elderly lady who was struggling to cross the street. Without hesitation, Justin ran over to the elderly lady then quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her across the street. But with the friction of his shoes and cracked sidewalk, Justin tripped and landed on his stomach.

The majority of the cookies fell out from their box and onto the ground then stepped on by the adults who were carrying on with their lives. He sighed and took up the medium size box with the remaining cookies. "Are you alright Miss?" Justin asked, with a concerned look. "Yes, thank you, young man." She replied, with a smile.

Justin smiled, then handed a cookie to the elderly lady and said "They're still fresh." She smiled and thanked Justin for his kindest as she took the cookie. Not wanting to be late, Justin excused himself from the conversation with the elderly lady and ran off.

Lin smiled, as she watched the clumsy brunette hair run off and then made her way through the crowded streets of Lilac Rose with a smile on her cheeks.

Closing the Principal's Office Door, Shawn stood a couple of feet away from the door and scanned the populated halls. He watched as many of the other teens greeted each other by their lockers; by the drinking fountains; and while they walked down the hall. Shawn's emerald green eyes then moved on to his Schedule for the Semester.

As Shawn continued to review his Schedule, a guy around his age with gorgeous brown and grey eyes charged toward him and then gave him a hug. This caused the redhead to drop both his Textbooks and Schedule.

"Shawn, I've missed you," Drake exclaimed, his voice filled with joy as if it was Christmas and his Birthday on the day. The students in the populated halls began to mutter as they watched the scene in shock. This made Shawn feel a bit uneased but he brushed it off.

He then reached for both his textbooks and schedule from the tiled flooring and held the books under his arm. Drake quickly snatched his schedule from his hand and began to scan it. "This is great, you're in my class," Drake said, looking over at Shawn with a genuine smile.

Shawn asked, "Could you show me where the class is?" Without hesitation, Drake grabbed Shawn's arm and went in search of the Classroom. Eventually, they found the classroom and were greeted by Drake's cousin, Amber.

"Please Shawn, seat here," Amber said, directing him to the bench in the first row. "Thanks, Amber," Shawn said and sat beside a guy with dirty blonde hair and dark brown eyes. "Hey, I'm Shawn." The redhead said, with a genuine smile. The blonde raised his eyebrow as he stared at the spoiled rich teens and then at the redhead.

He asked, "You're friends with them?" Shawn was a little confused about this statement but kindly shrugged it off. His emerald green eyes then looked to the left to see Drake taking out his chewing gum from his mouth and plastering it on the bench behind him. "What's that all about?" Shawn asked, immediately getting up from his seat.

"A crybaby usually sits here and needs an attitude adjustment," Drake said as he walked back to his seat. "Is that really necessary?" Shawn asked as he took off his glove to remove the chewed gum.

"Damn it, I'm already late." Justin thought as he dashed through the empty halls of the school. As Justin made his way upstairs, he slowly made his way over to a nearby drinking fountain to quench his thirst.

"Excuse me." A voice called out. Justin looked up from the drinking fountain to see a guy around his age. He had ash blonde; icy blue eyes. His hand is in the pockets of his puffer jacket. "How can I help?" Justin asked, walking towards the blonde.

"My name is Alan. I'm a new student at this school and I'm having trouble finding Class 4-B." Alan explained, Justin then gave him a smile. "Well, you're in luck. I'm heading there now." Justin said, Alan smiled and told the brunette to lead the way. As they made them down the empty hall Alan asked, "Hey, what's your name?"

"Justin Summers." He replied, with a sweet smile. Once they arrived, they quickly realized that the teacher wasn't present. But then, something caught his attention.

As Justin made his way towards his yearly seat, he saw a guy with red hair plastering gum on his side of the bench. "What the hell do you think you're doing!" Justin exclaimed, causing him to turn around in shock. Both Drake and Amber began to laugh at the scene which made Justin's blood boil. "Great joke. Good job you three." Justin said, with a stern voice.

"N- no, I was trying to take it off, I swear." Shawn tried to explain, as he stood up. Justin immediately cut him off and walked towards his side of the seat. He took out a small piece of paper from his bag and then placed it on the gum.

Justin asked, "You're friends with them aren't you?" Shawn looked away not answering the question. Justin then sat an inch away from the paper along with Alan. With a sigh, Shawn walked over to his seat. "Now you see what I'm talking about Shawn," Drake said, with a smirk upon his face.

"Damn it," Shawn muttered, the guy beside looked at him with a concerned expression. "Why don't you tell him that it was Drake's idea." He asked, Shawn, sighed and looked at the guy beside him. "I've been friends with Drake since childhood, I know he's not perfect but I can't throw him under the bus. He's like my only friend." Shawn explained.

"I'm Harvey and it's about time you make some new friends," Harvey said, giving the redhead a smile.

After a few minutes, the classroom began to fill up with a few other students then the Teacher entered. "Good Morning class, I'm really sorry I'm late." She said, placing a few textbooks on her desk. "My name is Miss Piper. I'll be your Homeroom and English teacher for the semester." Miss Piper said, giving them a smile.

It's been an hour since Miss Piper arrived, she gave them a small pep talk about the 10th grade and began her lesson. The classroom was quiet as everyone wrote off the work from the whiteboard, a girl by the name of Rebecca was completely annoyed by the fact that Brittany was throwing paper at her. It's been five minutes since she began to throw paper. "Stop throwing paper at me or I'll throw my fist in your face!" Rebecca yelled, which caught everyone's attention.

"Rebecca, for distributing my lesson take your things and go to the Principal's Office!" Miss Piper said, with a stern voice. Everyone watched as Rebecca packed up her things and exit the classroom.

As Rebecca made her way to the Principal's Office through the deserted halls of Bridgeport High School. Her hands were clenched into a fist due to the powerful rage of anger she felt. Once she arrived she opened the principal's office door only for the principal to say; "Young Lady, go outside and try that again."

As Rebecca exited the office she rolled her bluebell eyes and slammed the door. "If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be here," Rebecca muttered, her hands clenching a piece of paper that Brittany threw. "Do you want revenge?" A voice asked, startling the tenth grader. Suddenly, a male figure stepped out from the shadow beside him was a tiger.

"Of course I do!" Rebecca stated as the suited figure stood a few inches away from her. "Who are you?" She asked, the figure smirked. "My name is King Club and I'm here to make your dream come true, but I would like something in return." King Club said, with a sinister voice. She gave him a confused looked but nodded in agreement. "I want two special playing cards, The Ace Of Spade and The Ace Of Diamond. Do we have an agreement?" King Club asked as he held out a dark black playing card with red translucent highlights.

At first, she hesitated, but with each second passing, she could feel the temptation and quickly accepted the offer. Rebecca took the playing card from King Club to reveal the ten hearts playing card. Suddenly, a dark fog began to surround her body and began her transformation sequence. "Don't forget our agreement." King Club told her then vanished.

"Don't worry I won't." Ten Hearts said, with a sinister voice.

It's been around ten minutes since Rebecca exited the principal's office. The principal, Mr. Smith became quite impatient as the student who exit his office was supposed to return. Mr. Smith stood up from his seat and walked over to the door. Suddenly, the door was kicked open causing Mr. Smith to fall flat and hit his head on his desk.

Mr. Smith winced in pain as he slowly looked up to see a female figure standing between the door frame. Rebecca or Ten Hearts walked into his office wearing a pink organza-tiered short dress with a red heart bodice, pink ankle-high heeled boots, white gloves, and a black mini jacket. Her bluebell eyes were now violet, and her dark brown hair had red and white dyed streaks.

She stood in front of her principal with a devilish smirk on her face. Mr. Smith could slowly feel the blood rolling down his face due to the impact of hitting his head. "I really despise people like you." She paused, as she looked at the frightened man. "But I'll need someone like you for my army." She laughed, using her power she blew a visible kiss mark, which flew onto Mr. Shawn's left cheek.

Suddenly, a dark red fog surrounded Mr. Smith, transforming the adult into a Knight. "As my fellow knight, you shall protect me from all future attacks." Ten Hearts said, staring at her mindless slave. "Yes, my Queen." The Knight said, bowing in front of the Card Villain.

"Now, follow me, I'm going to need more, Knights." She laughed, then exit the principal's office.

It's been an hour since the dismissal of Miss Piper's English Class, majority of the class was in the Gamers Lounge, playing a variety of different video games. Finishing his second game, Harvey stood up from his seat and walked to get a drink from the vending machine. As Harvey made his way over to the vending machine, he saw his new friend Shawn.

"Fancy seeing you here," Harvey said, Shawn chuckled.

"I thought you weren't into this stuff," Harvey said, taking out a dollar from his pocket. "There's a lot of things you don't know about me," Shawn said, with a smile on his face. After Harvey got a drink, both he and Shawn talked few minutes, that's when someone caught Shawn's attention.

"Dude, who are you staring at?" Harvey asked, looking in the direction of the redhead. Both Justin and Alan had entered the Lounge. "It's him," Shawn said, his emerald green eyes locked on the brunette. "Justin is a really cool guy once you get to know him," Harvey said, placing his hand on his shoulder.

"Each time I tried talking to him, he gives me the silent treatment." Shawn sighed.

Suddenly, a large boulder smashed through the walls of the Gamers Lounge which frightened everyone in the room. A few students peeked outside the large gap in the wall to see an army of knights.

Real Knights in actual armor. "Everyone, exit the room and find a safe place to hide." A teacher exclaimed as he opened the door in a state of panic. Not wasting a single minute, everyone immediately exits the lounge and only hears another boulder being smashed. As many other students and teachers ran through the partially destroyed halls, the building began to shake.

"D- Does this happen this happen on a regular basis?" Alan asked, a bit concerned.

"No," Justin replied, as they rushed downstairs to the main hall of Bridgeport High. Suddenly, they heard the sound of metal footsteps coming toward them. Looking in both directions Alan saw a Janitor's closet. He grabbed Justin's arm and pushed him into the closet. "A- Alan what are you doing?" Justin asked, as Alan broke the doorknob from the inside and closed the door.

"I'm going to lead those things away," Alan said.

Justin tried to convince Alan not to produce with his plan but the blonde ran off. Justin could hear metal footsteps running in the same direction where Alan was headed. Justin heard a sound on his phone, signaling a notification. He pulled out his phone and began to watch the news report.

"I'm asking all the citizens of Lilac Rose to stay home until we have this situation under control." Mayor Thompson explained as the video clip ended. "As incredible as it seems the City of Lilac Rose is indeed being attacked by super villains and the police force is struggling to keep the situation under control." The news report, Ashley Falconer said, Justin groaned and turned off his phone.

"I hate first days back at school," Justin muttered as he sat on the cold tiled floor. Suddenly, a small box fell from a shelf and onto the floor. "What's this?" Justin said as he took up the small card box.

He opened the lid of the card box and took out a playing card. "The Ace of Spade," Justin muttered, staring at the playing card with confusion. Suddenly, a bright ball of white light emerged from the playing card and disappeared to reveal a ragdoll kitten, with white and brown fur and honey yellow eyes. "Hello Justin, please don't be afraid." The Kitten purred.

Justin's eyes widened in shock, not believing what he saw. "W- What are you and how do you know my name?" He asked, trying not to scream due to what was currently happening outside. "I am a Guardian Pet. My name is Nex, now please let me explain." Nex said, levitating in front of the brunette.

"Justin, the City needs your help!" Nex said this made Justin confused. "The City needs my help?" Justin repeated. "Yes, that super playing card chose you for a reason and I'm here to help guide you to become a great Superhero." Nex purred, as flew onto Justin's leg.

"But, what if I'm not cut out to be a Superhero? I'm just going to mess up." Justin said, with a sad tone. "I understand, many Spade Heroes and Heroines were just like, having regrets but they began something new in the end," Nex explained, giving the brunette a sweet smile. "Alright, tell me what I need to do," Justin said, picking up the Kitten in his hand along with his playing card.

Both Rescue Chopper and News Chopper surrounded the partially destroyed school. While the Rescue Chopper retrieved a few students and teachers, the New Chopper was capturing footage of the villains rampaging through the City. The Choppers were also avoiding the mid-air attack thrown by the Knights.

"Get back here." A Knight called out, as he and his troops chased the redhead. Shawn ran as fast as he could to dodge all the attacks they fired at him. The building began to shake again, causing a few large lighting fixtures to fall from the ceiling. Using this to his advantage, Shawn jumped the rubble of rocks then grabbed a hand size rock and threw it at the dangling light fixture cutting the cord which slammed into a few Knights.

As Shawn exited, the building a huge boulder fell, blocking him and the knights. He watched as the Rescue Choppers flew away with many injured students and teachers.

"Find Her!" Someone called out, immediately Shawn ran off and hid behind a few boulders. He took a glance and saw more Knights, but his emerald green eyes caught something else. Shawn saw a girl around his age with dark brown hair along with dyed red and white streaks. She screamed at the Knights as they failed to locate the person they are looking for, then Shawn widened his eyes in shock as he recognized the girl.

"N- no way is that, R- Rebecca?" Shawn whispered, going back into his hiding spot. Suddenly, Shawn saw a small card box on the ground in front of him. Picking up the card box, Shawn opened the lid and took out a playing card.

"The Ace of Diamond," Shawn muttered.

Suddenly, a bright ball of white light emerged from the playing card and disappeared to reveal a puppy, a German Shepard. He had black and white fur and bright blue eyes. "Hello Shawn, my name is Sky." Sky barked, as he levitated in front of him. Due to the current situation he was in, he remain calm. "It's nice to meet you too, but what are you exactly?" Shawn asked, raising his eyebrow.

"I am Guardian Pet, who will guide you to become an amazing Superhero." Sky said, with a happy tone. "Superhero? Sky, if you haven't realized I'm just a teenager." Shawn said, folding his arms. "That's true. You also have a lot of potentials to become a great hero." Sky said, staring at the redhead.

Shawn could hear another boulder being launched, but instead of the school, it was the entrance of the school. "Alright, tell me more about my powers," Shawn stated. "Your power is to destroy anything you touch. To activate this power just Diamond Destruction but you'll only have five minutes before you de-transform." Sky explained, Shawn nodded understanding the basics. "Wait, wouldn't the public recognize my facial features and my voice?" Shawn asked, the German Shephard smiled.

"The mask is magic, so no one will recognize your face or voice." Sky stated. "So, how do I transform?" Shawn asked, which made Sky chuckle. "Just hold up your card and say, Sky, Let's Punch It!" Sky barked happily.

"Sky, Let's Punch It!" Shawn repeated the phrase, holding his special playing card as he began his first transformation sequence.
