The coronation of Padme Amidala
The coronation of their future queen brought about a joyous celebration in both the street and the palace, as the crowd gathered together to commemorate this momentous occasion. But in the midst of all the festivities, a mysterious cloaked figure was slowly approaching the palace.
The guards did not notice the stranger, and the stranger easily slipped inside the palace and into the corridors. Reaching the entrance to the throne room, the stranger paused at the open doors.
As crowded Padme settled into her new throne, the figure confidently approached her, making his way towards the throne. The guards stood alert, their hands gripping their blaster tightly. The stranger paused, raising both hands in a gesture of peace. Padme signaled to the guards to lower their weapons and motioned for the stranger to come closer. With a few steps forward, the stranger knelt down, bowing his head. Slowly, the stranger revealed a lightsaber from under the cloak. The guards instinctively aimed their blasters at the stranger, but the stranger spoke calmly, "Padme, I have no intention of causing harm to you or your people. I only seek to share my vows with you."
Padme gestured towards the guards, prompting them to lower their blasters. The stranger then declared, "I hereby commit myself to you as your guardian and protector. I will safeguard your life and shield you and your handmaidens from any harm. Your commands will be my directives until you release me from my vow or until my final day."
Padme accepted the proffered lightsaber, and its weight felt heavier in her grasp than she had anticipated. She contemplated the promise and looked at the figure kneeling before her. She was familiar with the Jedi, but never did she imagine one would dedicate himself to be her protector.
"I accept your vows but may I ask why would you pledge yourself?"
"My father's wish was for me to protect you, as he knew I would. Please refrain from inquiring about him; it is solely his desire for me to be your guardian."
Padme was intrigued by this stranger's father's wish, prompting her to inquire about him. However, before she could utter a word, the stranger's final words reverberated in her mind, causing her to pause. Countless questions swirled in her thoughts, all centered around this mysterious father and the commitment he had made. She had a feeling this stranger's father played a significant role in his decision and wondered what his motivations might have been.
As she pondered these questions, Padme decided to accept the stranger's offer, stating, "You shall serve as my guardian and defender, following the wishes of both your father and yourself."
However, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this story than met the eye and resolved to uncover the truth behind the stranger's father's wish.
