Chapter 1: Wherever I May Roam
DEAN POV
All the sigils we had painstakingly thrown up on the walls were glowing. Freaking glowing. I'm guessing that wasnt good.
The light bulbs all popped one after the other and the doors to the barn smashed open.
I don't know what I was expecting. A suit with black eyes, a were with yellow eyes, hell, even a Windigo. What I was not expecting was a dude in a trench coat.
Me and bobby let off shot after shot.
It did absolutely nothing as trench coat continued to advance on us.
"Who are you?" I growled.
"I'm the on who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition," he said, simply.
Weird.
"Yeah, thanks for that," I stated sarcastically, before plunging the demon blade into his chest.
He sighed before withdrawing it and dropping it to the floor.
What the fuck was this guy?
Bobby took a swing and ended up on the floor after a touch to the forehead. He turned to me.
"We need to talk with you," he said.
"We? Who's we? What the hell are you?" I demanded
"My name is Castiel, I'm an angel of the lord," he said.
Before I could even wrap my head around that I had more pressing matters to attend to.
"What did you do to him?" I asked dangerously, kneeling beside Bobby.
"Your friend is fine. We have matters to discuss," he said dismissively.
"Who the hell is we?!" I shouted.
Castiel looked over my shoulder towards the barn doors.
I looked over and there was another figure standing there that hadn't been there before.
"Hi. Dean, right?" She asked, walking up.
"Um..." I said with all the intelligence of a goldfish.
"My name is <y/n>. I know this must all be overwhelming for you, but we will explain it to the best of our abilities. Your friend Bobby is fine, I promise. We just need a little discretion for this conversation," she said, coming to kneel on the other side of Bobby.
"Are you....an angel too?" I asked awkwardly.
"Yup!" she smiled. Shit. She was stunning. Long curly <y/h/c> hair, gorgeous almond shaped <y/e/c> eyes and lightly tanned skin. I'd say she had curves in all the right places but I'm pretty sure that's a one way ticket to the big guy downstairs.
"But....there's no such thing as angels," I stuttered out.
"This is your problem, Dean," Castiel said. "You have no faith."
The was a crack of thunder and a flash of light before two giant black shadows in the shape of wings unfurled against the wall behind Castiel. Holy shit. He really is an angel.
<y/n> scoffed. "Put them away, Cass," she said with an eye roll.
"Why are you here?" I asked.
"Well he's here because he's my boss and I'm under "supervision"," she said with air quotes.
I quirked an eyebrow up.
"I took a vacation in the south of France. Without telling anyone. Annnnnnd got drunk and set a vineyard on fire. But, I digress," she said quickly, with a blush rising to her cheeks.
I surprised myself by laughing lightly. What? She was adorable. Sue me.
Suddenly she grew serious.
"I'm here because God commanded it. Because we have work for you," she said quietly.
I stood there staring for a good minute.
"You don't think you deserve it, do you?" Castiel asked.
I ignored him. "Why me?" I asked.
"Theres a fight coming. You will play a pivotal roll in it. It's a lot to put on your shoulders and I'm so sorry about that. But all will be explained," <y/n> said gently.
A groan alerted me to the fact that Bobby was no conscious.
"What the hell just happened?" He groaned rolling onto his back and staring at the two newest addition to the group.
"Dude. You were totally touched by an angel," I laughed. I couldn't help myself. That comment was right there for the taking and you're damn right I grabbed it.
Bobby gave me a look and smack up the head before getting up off the floor.
I turned to <y/n> and Castiel.
"What is it you need me to do exactly?" I asked, suspiciously.
<y/n> sighed. "Right now? Right now we need you to only do one thing," she said.
"Enough with the idle chit chat and just tell me what the hell is going on," I snapped.
Castiel stepped in.
"We need you to stop Sam," he said gravely.
