Work Text:

Bond began to pick up the decks of cards and the chess pieces that were on the floor of the room, leaving them on the table. He stacked the cards with those of his same game and stored the chess pieces in a cloth bag.

"Do you want me to help you?" Sherlock asked, sitting on the couch.

"It's not necessary, but thank you, Sherly," the blond replied with a smile as he finished picking up. “In addition, you have William lying on you, and I don't want him to wake up, not after three sleepless nights he has had”

The detective looked at the Moriarty, who, indeed, was lying on his shoulder, with his head resting on his chest. Sherlock smiled as he rested his head on the blond's and watched as Bond had just put the games in a box.

"Ah, Sherly," James said as he took the box and approached a little cabinet to store it. “Before, playing the round of personal questions that Sebas has suggested, you have mentioned that you liked someone before William. Can I know who he is?” The Holmes took a hand to his chin and frowned. “You don't need to answer me, it was just curiosity...”

"You," the detective interrupted him.

Bond dropped the box, which made a dry blow when it came into contact with the ground. The blond turned to look with his eyes wide open to the one with dark hair, who stared at him, with no trace of mockery on his face.

"What...?" James whispered.

Sherlock patted the arm of the armchair that was not occupied by someone from the Moriarty group who was asleep, telling Bond to sit on it. The blond obeyed in silence, and looked at the Holmes with curiosity.

"Did you really like me?" asked the blond.

"It's not really a liking exactly, it's something a little more complex, you know?" Sherlock sighed before looking at Bond and saying, "When we met you as Irene Adler, I must admit that at first, I didn't like you. To date, I hated each and every one of the women -except for Miss Hudson, but she is a separate subject-, but Irene was the first woman with whom I felt something different," the detective began to say, posing his hand on William's blond hair. “Her charisma, joy and motivation made me appreciate her, and even have affection for her. In addition, her intellect was something I didn't miss; it was amazing how ingenious she was. Little by little, I began to feel something strange about her. It wasn't love, but I thought it was something similar”

Bond smiled fondly when he saw the Holmes smile, which offered the same feeling. The blond rested his chin on the back of his hand, wanting to know what else the detective wanted to say.

"When she left, I must admit that I felt that something had just left my being... and when John told me that she had died, I don't even know how to define how I felt. A mixture of helpless, angry, sad... Several things at the same time, to tell the truth," Sherlock confessed. “For some reason that I still don't know -perhaps because of the same reason why I was unable to recognize you disguised as the king of Bohemia- I didn't know how to see that you and Adler were the same person. However, I felt as if you and I knew each other from before. And when you appeared dressed like Irene Adler one last time... what I felt at that moment is something that I have engraved in my mind. I was relieved and euphoric to see you alive, but somewhat confused for not having been able to recognize you before”

Sherlock paused before finishing saying:

"And when that happened, I knew what that feeling was that I didn't know how to identify at the time: yes, it was love, but not the romantic. It was something similar to that "philia" to which the Greeks referred. It's more of a kind of fraternal love that I feel for you, but if I had said anything else, I'm sure that the rest -with the exception of Liam- would have misunderstood me”

Bond blinked before smiling tenderly and saying:

"That's also how I feel, you know, Sherly?" Not in such a complex way as you said, but something like that. But don't let William listen to me, or else, I'll awaken his jealousy” the blond winked and put a finger on his lips.

At that moment, the Moriarty moved on the couch, so Sherlock took him in his arms in the bridal style as he got up and said:

"I'm going to take Liam to his room. You should do the same with those” the detective pointed his chin to Moran and Fred, who slept shoulder to shoulder, with the youngest hugging the colonel.

“Nah, for what? Look at them, they’re so cute," James exclaimed with a mocking smile. “I”ll just leave them here with a blanket”

The blond took a blanket and covered both boys, letting them sleep on the couch. Sherlock smiled before approaching Bond to leave the room and say:

"Good night, James Bond”

"Good night, Mr. Sherlock Holmes," the aforementioned whispered before kissing the detective's cheek.

He was cleaned as if the opposite's touch was poisonous and went upstairs, towards William's room.

Sherlock left the nobleman on the mattress and after that, he went to the door to close it.

"I would be jealous of your relationship with Bond if it wasn't for the fact that I've heard your conversation," the blond said suddenly, getting on the bed.

"Have you heard everything?" Holmes asked as he released the doorknob.

"Almost everything; I've heard all the important part," William smiled and rested his cheek on his knee. “I love the relationship you have with Bond. I would say that, outside my family, it is the one I like the most of all the people I know”

"So that later you say that our relationship is shit, Sherly," Bond's head peeked out the door, startling the aforementioned.

"Go to sleep now, annoying!" exclaimed the detective.

The blue-eyed blond sent a kiss in the air before laughing and closing the door. Sherlock lay on the bed, next to the nobleman, and sighed heavily.

"It makes me mad. But now I can't deny anything about my attachment to him," whispered the dark-haired one.

William laughed slightly and lay down next to Sherlock after blowing out the candle from his bedside table and removing the patch on his left eye.

"I bet whatever you want that tomorrow he will bother you with things in relation to what you have told him today, Sherly," Moriarty whispered with a mischievous smile.

"What a boy," Holmes complained as he hugged his partner, who reciprocated the hug.

Notes:

In my mind, the way Sherly sees Bond is neither loving nor not loving, but a point in the middle; that (for me) is due both to his relationship in the canon books and in the manga (and I say, look at Sherlock's eyes every time he sees Irene/Bond).

To tell the truth, I love the relationship of the two of them, and every time I have the opportunity I will put them as besties, that's how I tell you, clearly.

I hope you like the shot ^^
