Work Text:

It was the first time after Saki came to school after her recovery with her eevee. Usually, she used to leave her at home since she didn't see a reason to take a pokemon to school, but most of her classmates brought their partners to spend more time together, and seeing that made the girl felt bad for not bringing eevee with her.

So, Saki was currently on her way to school, along with Ichika. The girl was surprised to see eevee with Saki, so after a while of walking she asked:

- Wow Saki, I didn't expect you to bring your eevee today. What happened that you decided to bring her along?

- Well, i saw that quite a lot of other girls from our school are bringing their pokemon, so i felt kind of bad for leaving my eevee alone. Besides, isn't it a great opportunity for eevee to make some new friends?

While saying that, Saki winked, making an apologising expression, beaming her optimistic aura on Ichika. The dark-haired girl agreed with that and they kept walking towards the school, talking about their next show's program and how they will practice today.

When they arrived to school, Saki was asked to leave eevee on the playground for pokemon, where the creatures could spend time safely while their trainers were studying.

The blonde had quite a hard time finding the playground, since it was the first time when she needed to go there. Thankfully, it didn't take too much time to find the way, thanks to some girls that kindly told where it's located.

- Wow, that's a lot of pokemon, huh? Im sure you'll find friends in no time, eevee!

Eevee, though, looked a little confused and disappointed. She didn't understand why she couldn't go with her beloved trainer but Saki's cheering made it a little more happy.

It's worth mentioning, that this eevee was a present along with pikachu on Saki and Tsukasa's 10th birthdays. But since Saki spent most of her time in hospitals, eevee spent most of her time with Tsukasa. Because of that, she attached to Tsukasa more and didn't listen to Saki most of the times. Despite that, they were getting closer after the girl fully recovered. The situation in eevee's behaviour was becoming better, she started listening to Saki more, but there was still room for improvement. This kind of behaviour was another reason, why the blonde didn't take eevee to school. She was simply afraid that she would run away. But their relationship is much better now, eevee is listening to her, and she won't run away, right?

Saki left, and eevee was forced to spend her time among the unknown pokemon. She tried to come to some pokemon that seemed to be friendly, like that one skitty, enjoying the sun, but it was so deeply in sleep, that it seemed impossible to wake up. Or yamper and furret, but they seemed to be too busy with their own stuff that they didn't even notice poor eevee.

She tried to play with a few more pokemon on the playground, but it seemed that everyone was already split in groups and weren't ready to let someone join them.

After number of unsuccessful tries of making new friends eevee gave up. It seemed like the day would last forever if she stayed there. But what if she escaped for a while? Nobody would notice her missing, right? She would just go and occupy herself and get back before Saki comes. It seemed like a valid plan to her.

But where should she go? There weren't many places for pokemon without trainers to come in the city. There were absolutely no ideas about where to go but suddenly a genius thought finally came. What if she came to Tsukasa? He was always kind to her, always gave delicious treats and treated her nocely in general. Surely, he'll be happy to see eevee when she shows up.

With that in mind, eevee started her little journey to Tsukasa. What she didn't consider, though, was that Tsukasa was at school, too. There was a few times when Tsukasa's parents took eevee with them when they brought the boy to school, so remembering the way wasn't the biggest problem. The main issue was that Tsukasa's school probably had same rules as Saki's. No pokemon inside. So she should sneak into the building and find Tsukasa without being caught. That would be a challenge, but eevee was quite confident about her sneaking abilities.

After about an hour of wandering around the city eevee finally reached the destination point. The hardest part of her little journey began. She slowly approached the main entrance, looking around to make sure nobody saw her. She crawled to the door only to find out that it was too heavy for her to open it. All this way, all this work were about to go to waste. But it was too early to give up! Eevee shook her head as if it was going to help some fresh ideas to come. And one actually came. What if she jumped into the school through a window? There should be onle opened, right? Eevee started looking for an open window, her last hope to get into the building and meet Tsukasa.

Not even 10 minutes passed when she found the window that was opened. But the problem was that the window was open only in half. If eevee tried to get through it, she would most likely stuck in it. Despite the risks, she decided to jump. First jump failed. It wasn't high enough. Second jump almost reached the gap. And finally, the third jump was successful. But as expected, eevee stuck. It was quite dangerous situation. What if someone found it before Tsukasa? She would be kicked out of school immediately. She didn't want to even think about that outcome. Thus, eevee started thrashing her back paws, hoping that it would somehow help to crawl through the window, but they only slided on the glass.

Eevee was slowly loosing hope on meeting Tsukasa and prepared to be kicked out when the bell rang, notifying everyone that the break started. It only made eevee more nervous. She closed her eyes, waiting for her plan to be doomed. But what happened next was definitely not what she expected to happen.

- Huh? What is happening? Is that an eevee hanging on the window?

A guy, who was the first to come out of a classroom, noticed the scenery of eevee, who got stuck. But instead of telling about it to the teacher, he went to help her to get out himself. Eevee was a little shocked. She didn't expect anyone help her like that, but that only made it easier to get in. After recovering from the shock, eevee started struggling to escape from the boy's hold. The boy wasn't prepared for eevee to trying to escape and dropped the struggling pokemon.

Eevee was finally free and could run around the school. Since it's a break, there would be many people and it would be hard to notice that there was a pokemon running among them. So, she started sniffing Tsukasa's scent. It was quite a difficult task to do since there were so many people. But she got too far with her plan and she didn't want to give up when she wa so close to her goal. Eevee ran through the corridor as fast as it was possible. There could be heard surprised sighs from students that were hit by something small. But they couldn't see what exactly hit them so they just had to accept it and continue whatever they were doing.

Thankfully, eevee wasn't caught yet. She reached the stairs that led to upper floors. Maybe she could find Tsukasa there. And there she was, on the second floor. There were less people which actually made finding Tsukasa a little easier, since there were less scents.

Eevee started sniffing again and oh! That was it! She finally found Tsukasa's scent. It was weak but that was something. She ran to where the scent was coming from, and the more she ran, the stronger the scent was. And then there he was. Tsukasa was walking straight to her with a guy with purple hair. She was so happy to see him that she sped up to her maximum speed and tackled the blonde, hitting her head right into his stomach. Tsukasa immediately fell, screaming from pain, surprise and fear.

- WHAT ON EARTH JUST HAPPENED? -The boy was so startled that he couldn't analyse the situation fully.

- Oh? Tsukasa-kun, what's sitting next to you you? - The boy with purple hair came closer to Tsukasa to help him to stand up, but saw that there was something brown sitting between Tsukasa's legs - Huh? Is that eevee?

After these words blonde finally looked at what hit him with so much force. And it indeed was eevee which was wagging its tail quickly and was looking at him wish shining eyes. He was still shocked after what happened and the only thing he could say was "Hu-huh??"

- Tsukasa-kun, do you know this eevee? It looks like it really likes you - Said mysterious boy.

- Hmm, I'm not sure, Rui - Ah, so the boy's name was Rui. - But wait, judging from it's fur and how it behaves.... YOU'RE MY SISTER'S EEVEE!? - Tsukasa screamed in disbelief. He remembered that Saki took her eevee to school. How could it be here? - Don't tell me... That you ran away!?

Eevee made a guilty face, only proving that boy's theory was true.

Teachers reacted to the noise Tsukasa made and quickly came to the place where eevee and he were still sitting.

- Tenma, what is happening!? Don't you know that pokemon are not allowed inside the school!? - The teacher looked furious. He was already tired from the oddballs' "pranks" so he couldn't just bear the two to break the rules again.

Tsukasa wanted to start apologising and explaining what happened but a boy from corridor spoke first - Teacher, don't scold Tenma-kun! This eevee appeared from nowhere and jumped on him.

The teacher looked at the boy, then at Tsukasa, who was still sitting, not fully recovered from what just happened. He only sighed tiredly.

Tsukasa finally got up and picked eevee up. - Sorry for the inconvenience caused, teacher! - the blonde was truly sorry for the chaos that was just made. - I will go and bring this eevee to the playground. Sorry Rui, we'll have to delay our lunch untill i take care of eevee.

When eevee heard this she couldn't believe it. Playground again! What a betrayal. She didn't expect it from Tsukasa, who was always kind and happy to see her. She screamed a long, disappointed "VEEEEEEEE", showing that the idea of bringing her to the playground didn't make her happy.

- Im sorry, eevee, but i have to bring you there. You can't just run around the school, you know!

And so, eevee got to the starting point. She had to spend the rest of the day on the pokemon playground, but now at Tsukasa's school.
