Work Text:
The nights were cold in the wasteland and the days too hot. Cooper had grown used to it. The scorching heat one moment, the icy cold the next. He still very much felt the heat on his skin burning like fire and the cold in his bones even if he didn't let it show to Lucy.
Tonight was a particularly freezing night. It is why or at least that's what Cooper told himself, that he lies with Lucy on the floor wĺith a tatty blanket covering their bodies. Allowing her to feed off his body heat and he off hers.
This place was an asylum once, then turned into offices and now it was nothing more than a hovel for them to lay their heads.
