Hey there, can you do Ghost/Soap where Soap went to the store and bought a random cake to share with Simon, and surprisingly Simon devours the whole thing. Then he buys a strawberry cake the next day, Simon again eats it all happily. Soap realised he definitely has a things for sweets. Work Text:

Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish strolled through the bustling streets, his mind occupied with thoughts of his boyfriend, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley. They had been through countless missions together, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. As he passed by a quaint bakery, an idea struck him.

Entering the shop, Soap was greeted by the scent of freshly baked goods. He scanned the display case, his eyes lighting up as he spotted a vibrant array of cakes. With a smile, he approached the counter, eager to pick out something special for Ghost.

The shopkeeper, a friendly older woman, noticed Soap's enthusiasm. "Looking for something in particular, dear?"

Soap nodded. "I want something sweet for my boyfriend. He's got a bit of a sweet tooth."

The shopkeeper chuckled. "Well, you've come to the right place. What flavors does he like?"

"Anything fruity," Soap replied, remembering how much Ghost had enjoyed the strawberry cake the previous night.

After some deliberation, Soap settled on a luscious raspberry lemon cake, the vibrant colors of the frosting catching his eye. With the cake carefully boxed up, he thanked the shopkeeper and made his way back to their safehouse.

When he arrived, Ghost greeted him with a warm smile, his eyes lighting up at the sight of the cake. "What's the occasion, Soap?"

Soap grinned, presenting the cake to him. "Just wanted to treat my favorite person to something sweet."

As they settled in to enjoy their dessert, Ghost leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Soap's cheek. "You're too good to me, Johnny."

Soap's heart swelled with affection as they shared the cake, their laughter filling the room with warmth. In that moment, surrounded by the sweetness of the cake and the even sweeter presence of Ghost by his side, Soap couldn't imagine being anywhere else.

As Johnny excused himself to use the restroom, Simon couldn’t resist the temptation of the delectable cake sitting on the table before him. With each passing moment, the sweet aroma of raspberries and lemon filled the air, beckoning him closer.

Unable to resist any longer, Simon’s resolve crumbled as he reached for the cake knife. Just one small slice wouldn’t hurt, he reasoned with himself. But as the first bite melted on his tongue, he found himself unable to stop.

Minutes turned into seconds as Simon devoured the cake with reckless abandon, the flavors exploding on his palate with each mouthful. Lost in the blissful haze of indulgence, he failed to notice the sound of the bathroom door opening.

“I’m back,” Johnny called out, his footsteps approaching the table.

But as Johnny entered the room, his eyes widened in disbelief at the sight before him. The cake, once whole and pristine, now lay decimated on the plate, only a few stray crumbs remaining as evidence of its former glory.

Simon looked up guiltily, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. “Uh, hey. I, um, couldn’t resist.”

Johnny couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight, shaking his head in amusement. “I leave you alone for two minutes, and you manage to demolish an entire cake.”

Simon sheepishly scratched the back of his head, a sheepish grin tugging at his lips. “Sorry. It was just so good.”

Johnny’s laughter filled the room as he joined Simon at the table, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Don’t worry about it, Si. It’s just cake, after all. And besides, I think I know just the place where we can find another one.”

The next day, Johnny returned from his bakery excursion, a box in hand containing a delightful strawberry cake. As he entered the safehouse, he couldn't help but grin at the sight of Simon's eager expression, waiting eagerly at the table.

"Hey, look what I've got," Johnny announced, presenting the cake to Simon with a flourish.

Simon's eyes lit up with excitement as he eagerly reached for the box. "Strawberry! My favorite!"

With the cake unveiled, they settled in to enjoy their sweet treat. But just like the day before, Simon's enthusiasm knew no bounds as he devoured slice after slice, the strawberry flavors dancing on his taste buds.

Johnny watched with amusement and affection, unable to suppress his laughter as Simon once again made quick work of the cake. "You really do have a thing for sweets, don't you?"

Simon flashed a sheepish grin, a hint of strawberry frosting smeared on his cheek. "What can I say? They're just too good to resist."

Johnny chuckled, feeling his heart swell with fondness for his sweet-toothed boyfriend. Together, they savored each moment, the sweetness of the cake mirrored in the warmth of their bond.

As the weeks went by, Johnny and Simon's cake tradition became a cherished ritual in their relationship. Every week, without fail, they would venture out to the bakery together, hand in hand, to select a new cake to indulge in. With each visit, they discovered new flavors and delights, their taste buds dancing with anticipation.

Returning home with their sweet treasure in hand, they would settle onto the couch, nestled together under a cozy blanket. With the flickering light of the TV casting a warm glow across the room, they would pop in a movie and press play, the sound of the opening credits signaling the start of their weekly movie night.

As they watched, they would share bites of cake between whispered commentary and shared laughter, the sweetness of the desserts matched only by the sweetness of their affection for each other. And as the credits rolled and the screen faded to black, they would linger in each other's arms, the contentment of their shared moments washing over them like a warm embrace.

In those quiet moments, surrounded by the comforting scent of cake and the gentle hum of the movie playing in the background, Johnny and Simon found solace in each other's company. And as they cuddled close, their hearts beating in sync, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, one slice of cake at a time.
