Work Text:
"Ash, what are you doing?"
Ash Ketchum was currently working on something that he didn't want Misty to see. "Nothing Misty."
"It can't be nothing when you're doing something."
"Sure it is. I'll be done in a bit."
She sighed and walked away to go play with Togepi.
"He'd better not make me wait too long..."
*
"Done!"
Ash got up to go and find Misty when he bumped into Brock. "Oh, hey Brock. What's up?"
"Misty's a bit mad at you. You made her wait two hours!"
"It took me a while to figure it out, okay?" He brushed past him and found Misty glaring at him, hands on her hips.
"What took you so long?! Don't you know what time it is?!"
He went over to her and grabbed her hand, leading her away. "Close your eyes."
"But then I won't be able to see, dummy!"
"Just do it!"
"Fine!"
Misty complied and closed her eyes, wondering what he was going to show her. Soon they stopped walking.
"You can open your eyes now."
Misty did so and her eyes widened. There was a picnic basket on a blanket with a...bike standing next to it?
"Ash...is that what you were making earlier?"
"Yeah. Sorry I shoved you away like that, I wanted it to be a surprise."
"This is the best surprise ever!" She hugged him from behind causing Ash to blush profusely.
Brock gave Ash a thumbs up from behind a tree.
