Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku sat on the ground, his hands aching from how hard they had scrapped against the ground. He coughed and covered his mouth and nose as best he could while fanning the smoke from his face.
His tears blurred his sight of Katsuki screaming angrily as he viciously wailed on those who had hurt him. The ground rumbled as Katsuki let off powerful explosions, stronger than Izuku had ever seen him create.
"Kacchan stop!"
Izuku's voice fell on deaf ears, Katsuki too consumed with anger to notice anything around him. Izuku shakily pushed himself up, every bone in his tiny body aching painfully but the boy was determined.
He had to stop his best friend from hurting any more people, and so he forced his body to move forward. Stumbling and sluggishly dragging himself towards the other boy, ignoring his own pain.
"Kacchan you have to stop!"
Finally, Katsuki registered Izuku's voice and quickly turned around remembering how hurt the boy was. He cursed himself, angry that he had completely forgotten the reason he was so mad to begin with.
"Deku!"
The small boy sighed in relief at seeing the boy and stumbled towards him, immediately falling unconscious as soon as he relaxed. Izuku caught him and both children sunk to the ground. Izuku held Katsuki securely as he also fell unconscious due to his pain and exhaustion.
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
Katsuki lay in his hospital bed clenching the sheets tightly, he had woken up several minutes ago. He immediately wanted to go find Izuku and make sure he was ok but he heard his parents whispering about him. They hadn't noticed him wake up just yet so he pretended to be asleep.
"Honey, are you sure? You know he won't react well to this, it'll break his heart," Masaru frowned deeply.
"I know and I don't want to do this but we have no choice Masaru, we need to separate them. Katsuki loves Izuku dearly, he's his best friend but his affection for him is growing unhealthy. Look at what happened, he's starting to harm himself for Izuku and I'm worried for him," Mitsuki stressed.
"He's only a small boy, he has a powerful quirk and he wants to be a hero more than anything. Of course, he isn't going to have control or understand his actions are wrong, in his eyes, he's doing everything to protect his best friend who can't protect himself.
Instead of taking such drastic measures shouldn't we try sitting him down, explaining why he can't do things like this, and helping him control his anger? I know you want what's best for him but think about how this could affect him later on," Masaru tried to explain.
"I am thinking of how this will affect his future, he almost killed those boys!" Mitsuki whisper yelled "If he's already going this far now imagine how bad it could get later on. Izuku is quirkless and he always will be, these kinds of things will never stop happening to him," Mitsuki stressed.
Masaru looked at her in disbelief, "Honey..."
"I don't mean it like that, Izuku is a sweet and kind little boy and I care for him deeply. However, he will never not be vulnerable and with Katsuki's explosive temper, he will always go to the extremes when it comes to protecting him. Even if we try doing things your way it won't mean anything once he sees Izuku get hurt again," Mitsuki reasoned.
"Look, those boys' parents are already suing us, they want to get Katsuki arrested. Things are bad and they'll only get worse the longer he's around Izuku so I'm putting my foot down. I have nothing against Izuku, he doesn't deserve any of this but I will not let my son ruin his life to protect him. That's Inko and Hisashi's job, not Katsuki," She looked at her husband.
"We can't just keep them apart forever, they could end up at UA together, and even if they don't Katsuki will just try to find him as soon as he's old enough," Masaru sighed.
"Then we'll cross that bridge when we get to it," Mitsuki said quickly.
"I still think this is a rash decision, he's going to resent us so much for this," Masaru put his head in his hands.
"It doesn't matter, I already found us a new house, I finally got the call yesterday," Mitsuki stated.
Masaru looked up at her, "Wha- You just went and made that decision on your own? Without even speaking to me about it first? How long have you been planning this?"
"I knew you'd disagree so I decided to wait until it was already final since it'd be too late to back out,"
"How long Mitsuki?" Masaru repeated.
Mitsuki sighed, "I've been in contact with the seller since his tantrums started up,"
"Six- You've been planning this behind my back for half a year!?" Masaru slightly raised his voice, a betrayed look on his face.
"Hush before you wake him up!" She whisper yelled and pinched her nose "Look everything is ready, we just need to move in, we don't even have to pack much it's fully furnished. While he's in here let's pack everything we want to take then we can go straight to the new place once he's out,"
Katsuki couldn't lie there and listen to them anymore.
"Mitsuki we can't just uproot his entire life and move without warn-"
"No, I won't go! You can't make me move away from Deku!" Katsuki yelled in tears, startling the adults.
"Katsuki!"
"Sweetie just listen-"
"No!" Katsuki went to blast his mom away when he finally noticed the quirk-canceling cuff on his wrist.
Instead, he just shoved her away, snatching out the IV, and jumped out of the bed, bolting out of the room to find Izuku. Mitsuki and Masaru chased after him in an attempt to calm him down but Katsuki wasn't listening.
Instead, he ran around the hospital, going into each and every room in search of Izuku. At this point, the couple had lost him and had to ask the hospital staff for help. Katsuki ran down the hall when he saw a familiar green-haired woman coming from the opposite end.
"Auntie!"
Inko looked surprised, "Katsuki?"
The boy crashed into her legs and she crouched down worried for him as he hugged her legs tightly.
"Are you ok? What's wrong?" She frowned worriedly.
"Where's Deku?! I can't find him!" He said panicked.
Inko chuckled and gave him a small smile, "He's right in here, this is his room," She pointed "Come on, he's been waiting for you to wake up to visit you,"
She took his hand and opened the door, entering the room and closing the door behind them to have some privacy.
"Kacchan you're ok!" Izuku smiled.
Katsuki quickly climbed into the bed and hugged Izuku tightly as he sobbed loudly startling the family.
"Wha-cchan?! What's wrong?" Izuku asked worriedly.
"The stupid hag is trying to take me away! She wants to separate us but I won't let her! We're supposed to stay together forever!" Katsuki cried.
Inko covered her mouth, "Oh my,"
"What?" Izuku frowned.
"She said I can't be around you anymore because you're quirkless and I'll get in trouble if I keep protecting you," Katsuki cried as he wiped his eyes with his little fist.
Izuku opened his mouth when there was frantic knocking on the door, Hisashi opened it and the couple rushed inside.
"Katsuki there you are!" Mitsuki said in relief.
"Stay away!" Katsuki yelled hugging Izuku tightly.
"Katsuki please, I'm only trying to do what's best for you," Mitsuki said sadly.
"No, you aren't! You just don't want me and Deku to be friends!" He said angrily.
"I told you we can't just move away like this," Masaru said tiredly.
"Is there anything we can do?" Inko turned to her husband.
Hisashi shook his head, "No it's not our place, even if we don't agree Katsuki is their child,"
"Kacchan don't be mad at Auntie," Izuku quietly told him.
"But she's trying to take me away!" Katsuki turned to him.
Izuku gave him a small smile, "Kacchan she's your mom and she wants to protect you like you want to protect me," He looked down "She's right, if you keep doing this you'll get in trouble and you can't be a hero,"
"But Deku!" Katsuki cried.
"It's ok, I know you did it because you love me and I love Kacchan too! So you have to go so you can become the number one hero like you promised. Then you can protect me the hero way!" Izuku smiled.
"But I won't get to see you for a long time..." Katsuki sniffled with a frown.
"Maybe but it won't be forever! You just have to be patient, I know you can do it," Izuku hugged him "If you love me then become my hero so you can protect me ok?" he mumbled.
Katsuki tightened his hold, "Ok..."
" You gotta get really strong and become the best hero ever!" Izuku's smile fell a bit "Then gotta come find me, promise?" he said lowly.
Katsuki nodded, "I promise,"
Izuku looked up, "Auntie I go home tomorrow...can me and Kacchan have one more sleepover tonight? Please?" he quietly asked.
Mitsuki felt her heart break a little and smiled, "Of course, you can,"
Masaru walked over with a sad smile and patted Izuku's head giving him a small thank you, "Come on Katsuki, the doctors have to check you over,"
Katsuki let his father pick him up and buried his face in his neck as he hugged him tightly, Mitsuki frowning a little. Once they left Izuku looked down, rubbing his cheeks in an attempt to hold back his tears. He let out a small sob and his parents hurried over, hugging him tightly as he quietly cried.
He wanted to be strong for Katsuki because he knew if the boy saw him cry he wouldn't have agreed. But now that they were gone he couldn't hold it in anymore, because he was so weak he lost his best friend.
Now he'd have to deal with his bullies all on his own, his parents can't protect him while he's at school, and the teachers never help him. When Katsuki was around he never felt alone, the kids were too scared to mess with him, he had someone who was nice and cared about him...he felt like it was ok to be quirkless. Now he didn't have that anymore and his quirklessness was the cause.
❜ ─ Scene 3 ─ ❛
It had been two and a half years since they had moved away and now Katsuki sat on his couch staring at the TV, his mind completely blank and his ears deaf to the world as his father frantically tried to comfort him somehow. His mother stood behind the couch as she covered her mouth in shock, crying as she looked at the TV. That snapped something in Katsuki and rage consumed him.
"Why the fuck are you crying?! This is all your fault, I hate you!" He screamed.
"Katsuki please calm down," Masaru pleaded.
"No! She did this!"
"I didn't know this would happen! Why are you blaming me?!" Mitsuki screamed back.
"Because it's all your fault! I should have been there-"
"And what could you have possibly done!" Mitsuki yelled at him.
Katsuki cried as his hands sparked, "I COULD HAVE PROTECTED HIM!" a large explosion went off and his mother was blasted into a wall.
Katsuki's eyes widened, "Honey!"
Masaru ran over to check on her, pulling out his phone.
"I- I didn't mean t-to, I was just-" Katsuki rushed over "Mom I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it!" he cried more.
Mitsuki hugged him, "It's ok, I know you didn't mean to, I-I'm ok," she smiled.
He shook his head, "No you aren't, you're bleeding!"
"The ambulance is on the way, everything will be alright," Masaru tried to keep calm.
Things only got worse after Katsuki left, because they had no one to punish for what happened to the boys they turned to Izuku, blaming him for everything. It got to a point where Inko had to homeschool Izuku and even then that wasn't enough.
They feared for Izuku's safety and moved away thinking that would be enough to keep him safe. But the families of the boys wanted revenge and they were ruthless, because of the damage Katsuki caused, their children would never be the same.
So they found the Midoriya's new home, swarming it and demanding that Izuku pay for what he caused. One of the boys needs a kidney and they're demanding that Izuku give the boy his but Inko argues that such a request was outrageous and that even if they wanted to, Izuku only has one due to difficulties as an infant.
She begs that they leave them alone as such a thing could kill her child but they don't care. Izuku was quirkless, his life didn't matter anyway but the boy had a good quirk and a bright future. His life was more important.
When Hisashi came home and saw the scene before him he lost it and threatened to burn them if they didn't leave his family only. That only angered them more and things erupted into absolute chaos as things started getting thrown at the house.
It all became too much for Izuku, he didn't want his parents to suffer because of him too. Izuku came downstairs despite his parents telling him to hide hoping that he could somehow resolve things. Just as he reached his father a rock shot through the window, hitting Izuku in the face and knocking him to the ground.
He cried out in pain and his vision turned red from the blood dripping down his face. This made his parents see nothing but red as they blacked out from rage, Izuku didn't know they could be so powerful. They didn't have particularly strong quirks but like they say, a parent's strength increases a hundredfold when protecting their child.
Everything after this was a blur for Izuku, he was in so much pain and his consciousness was going in and out. He remembers people breaking in to hurt him and his parents protecting him. It was an absolute bloodbath as his parents rapidly ripped them to shreds with monstrous strength.
When no one was left they held Izuku protectively as they tried to tend to his wounds. Soon the heroes arrived and when Hisashi tried to get help for Izuku they attacked the family like they were the villains. At this point, his parents were badly injured and couldn't fight, especially not against trained heroes. So they did what they could, Hisashi smiled and kissed his family.
"I love you both ok? Take Izuku and go as far as you can, get him somewhere safe,"
"What? N-no Dad come with us," Izuku cried.
Hisashi wiped his tears, "It's ok I'll catch up, now go,"
Inko nodded and did as she was told, Izuku's consciousness was slipping more and more. One minute his mother was running then she was fighting off pros then running away again. Izuku looked at his mother hazily as he was being hidden in an alleyway behind some bins and boxes.
"M-mom?"
"Everything will be ok don't worry," A loud bang and a crash could be heard nearby "I'm so sorry Izuku, I wish I could have done more," Inko couldn't hold her tears anymore.
"M-mom?" Izuku fought to stay awake.
Inko cupped his face, "Dad and I love you so much but it looks like we won't be a-able to stay with you any longer. I hope you can forgive us-"
Another loud bang was heard, now much closer than before, "I have to go now ok," Inko kissed his forehead "My beautiful boy," she smiled and placed something in his hand, tightening his fist around it.
"M-mom?" Inko stood up and looked around before moving away "Please! D-Don't go!"
Inko gave him one last smile, the wound on her side bleeding profusely, and ran out of the alleyway. The last thing Izuku saw was her getting attacked and chased before everything faded to black.
❜ ─ Scene 4 ─ ❛
A teenage Tomura held a man by the throat and watched as he decayed and crumbled to the ground. He turned, scratching his neck furiously when movement caught his eyes. He squinted and ruby eyes met wide emerald ones, the boy tried to hide himself but it was too late. Tomura walked over and nudged one of the boxes away to reveal a sickly-looking Izuku.
"He saw us," Kurogiri spoke.
"I'm aware of that," Tomura grumbled.
He sighed and walked over to take care of the witness and Izuku looked down, "You're...going to kill m-me right?" He spoke weakly.
"Sorry kid," Kurogiri apologized.
"P-please-"
Tomura grew annoyed, he hated when people begged for their liv-
"-make it quick. I-I don't want to feel I-it," Izuku lowly pleaded.
Both males paused in confusion, "What? You're not gonna beg for your life?" Tomura asked.
"No p-point, I'm gonna die soon anyways... besides I-i'm a burden that...shouldn't h-have been born..." Izuku lost consciousness once again.
It had been a week since his mother left him there he was so weak he could barely move his arm let alone find help. So he had no choice but to just stay there, constantly slipping in and out of consciousness. He had no idea how he managed to survive this long but it was clear that once he fell asleep again it'd be permanent this time.
Kurogiri looked at Tomura who had an odd expression, "What do you want to do?"
"Let's take him back with us for now, master should see him before we decide," Tomura yawned.
Kurogiri nodded and picked Izuku up, something falling from his limp hand. Tomura picked it up curiously as they disappeared through a warp gate. In the end, Inko and Hasashi Midoriya were killed while trying to protect their son who was never found.
The heroes faced some backlash once the whole story came out but because Izuku was quirkless and All Might was one of those heroes involved so it was quickly forgotten and buried, and no one cared enough to condemn those wrong or seek justice.
Except for the Bakugo's but right now they had to focus on Mitsuki, she survived but now she must recover. In the explosion, her left eye was badly injured and she lost sight in it, it'd take a while to get used to.
I know a lot just happened so quickly but you should get comfortable, this is only just the beginning.
Notes:
A/N: In case you're confused in scenes 1-2 Izu and Katsuki are six years old and in scenes 3-4 they are eight years old. Also in scene four Shigaraki was about fourteen or fifteen years old.
Chapter 2: Act 2
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku sat in the lounge area by himself, playing a card game since he had nothing else to do. He had read every book they had and he didn't want to touch any of Tomura's games while he wasn't here in case he messed anything up.
Izuku went to grab a card when he noticed a shadow, flinching when he looked up and saw Toga hovering over him.
"Oh, h-hi Himi-chan," Izuku said nervously.
"Hi, Iz~u~ku~," Toga smiled "Are you playing by yourself?" She tilted her head.
Izuku nodded and avoided eye contact, "M-mhm,"
"That sounds boring, I can play with you if you want!"
Izuku looked down nervously, "I-I'm not supposed to b-be alone with you..."
Toga frowned, "I know...I'm really sorry about last time, I did it because I love you so much. You still love me too right? I promise I won't do that again," she sniffled.
Izuku immediately took her hands not wanting her to cry, "I-I still love you too I promise! I w-was just scared but I'm n-not scared anymore,"
"You mean it," Izuku nodded "Then I'll keep you company!" she said excitedly.
"O-ok,"
~3 Minutes Later~
Compress yawns as he heads for the bar when Izuku suddenly bolts into the room. He runs and hides behind Compress, teary-eyed as he tightly grips the back of his shirt with trembling hands.
"H-help," Izuku cries.
Compress immediately became concerned, "Izuku? What's wrong?"
The other league members turn in their direction also now concerned about the boy.
"H-himi-chan," he said, holding back tears.
"That damn lunatic, I told Shigaraki she needed to go," Spinner sighed.
As if on cue Toga entered the room, knife in hand, "Izu-kun why'd you run off~? I thought you said you weren't scared of me anymore~," She pouted.
"That's enough Toga, didn't we tell you to stay away from him?" Compress said angrily, "If you hurt him again we won't let it slide this time," he threatened.
Toga stood still for a moment before looking at him with wide and deranged eyes as she shook with rage.
"Why do you all keep getting in my way?! I love him more than any of you and he loves me too, he said so! You can't keep him from me, he's mine so give him back or I'll cut you into a million pieces!" She yelled out enraged.
Her bloodlust filled the room and Izuku began to tremble uncontrollably as he sobs profusely and drops to the ground. He was absolutely petrified, no petrified didn't even begin to describe the amount of fear he had.
She scared him, last time he had woken up restrained in Toga's room, his body covered in cuts. She had taken lots of his blood, drinking it and turning into him so that she could be "closer" to him.
When he saw himself lying on top of him he screamed and the others immediately broke down the door. After that, they wanted to get rid of her, even hurt her but Izuku begged them to give her another chance.
Of course, he was scared but she had been so sweet and kind to him before that so he felt bad. Now he regretted that choice...
The others activated their quirks and Toga ran at Compress erratically swinging her knife around. Compress threw several marbles at her and she deflected them all with her knife.
Suddenly she was yanked across the room by Mange's quirk and harshly slammed into the ground knocking her unconscious. They began restraining her and Compress immediately turned to check on Izuku.
"Izuku are you alright?" He said panicked, seeing the boy's state.
Izuku trembled violently as he sobbed, "I-I'm sorry~! I'm s-sorry~!" he apologized profusely.
"Why are you apolog-" Compress noticed a puddle beneath him.
Izuku had peed himself out of fear.
"Hey it's ok, it's not your fault," Compress assured him "Come on let's get you cleaned up, Kurogiri and Shigaraki will be back soon,"
Izuku let the man help him up and held his hand tightly as Compress led him out of the room. While Compress took care of Izuku the others took care of the mess left behind while Mustard and Magne took Toga to the cellar.
Twice frowned a bit but carried on mopping the floor without a word, Toga is his best friend but even he won't tolerate or excuse her harming Izuku like this. She has always been kind and sweet, taking care of them and acting as a sister.
Yes, she's extreme when it comes to love but this was on a whole other level, she was trying to kill Izuku. He knew what this meant for her and he was sad but it was for the best, they all promised to protect that kid. That includes protecting him from each other, he became their family but villains are still villains, they can't be fully trusted.
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
Izuku lay in bed tossing and turning, even after his bath Izuku was badly shaken up from everything. Compress finally managed to calm him down and get him to rest but even his dreams are haunted by earlier.
"Izu you meant it right? You weren't lying when you said you loved me?" Toga asked him.
"No o-of course not! I-I love all of you, you take care of me and w-we're a family," Izuku managed a smile.
"Izu-Kun..." Toga pounced on him and hugged him too tightly "I love you too! I love you so so so much! I love you more than anything, you're my Izu-Kun!"
Izuku nervously hugged her back, "L-Let's keep play-" He flinched at the face Toga was making "Himi-Chan?"
"Ah, Izu it's not enough..." Toga mumbled.
"What's not e-enou-"
"Your blood, just looking like you isn't enough anymore! We really have to become one!" She hugged him tighter.
"Y-you're scaring me," Izuku quietly cried.
"Oh no! Don't be scared! It'll really work, if we do it we'll never be apart!" Toga said excitedly.
"W-what are you g-going to do?"
"Skin you of course! The only way for us to be even closer is if I wear your skin! Doesn't that sound wonderful?!" Toga said excitedly.
Izuku shook his head in horror, "N-no! I don't want t-to!" he pushed her away.
"What? You don't want to? So you don't love me then...? How could you lie to me?! You do want this! If you love me then you want it!" Toga sliced at him and he barely dodged, getting a cut on his cheek.
He hurriedly scrambled to his feet and ran as fast as he could to the other league members.
Izuku jumped awake and grew terrified as someone grabbed him, "Izuku it's just me,"
Izuku quickly hugged the man, "Tomu-Nii!"
Tomura hugged Izuku back and smiled, "It's alright I'm not going anywhere, go back to sleep ok? You're safe, I won't let you get hurt,"
Izuku nodded and laid back down, cuddling up next to him, "Ok..."
❜ ─ Scene 3 ─ ❛
The door to the bar was thrown open and everyone turned to see it was Touya, who most likely rushed back.
"Why the fuck are y’all blowing me up?" He grunted obviously annoyed.
"It's Izu," Spinner sighed preparing for the man's sour mood.
Between Dabi, Tomura, and Kurogiri no one knew who was more protective of Izuku. Hell, they were way more than overprotective, if Izuku would let them they'd probably have him in a tower somewhere like Rapunzel. But out of the three of them, Dabi loses his shit the worst when it comes to Izuku.
It wasn't always like that though, in the beginning, Dabi couldn't stand Izuku. He was annoying, weak, and clingy, always following the older boy around like a lost puppy. Dabi couldn't understand why the boy wanted to be his friend so badly, no matter how mean he was to Izuku the boy would still praise him and rant about how cool his quirk was.
(Sound familiar😗)
Eventually, though Dabi started to notice that his negative remarks were starting to affect Izuku. He didn't smile at him as much and began avoiding Dabi and the older boy had to admit that he started to feel a little guilty when he started making the boy cry. But he just pushed that guilt down and carried on ignoring Izuku's existence.
His treatment of Izuku didn't change until Izuku was left in his care for the first time. He completely ignored and neglected Izuku, not happy about being a babysitter. Izuku had come to him begging that he stay with him because Toga was acting weird and scaring him.
But in Dabi's eyes, Toga was always weird and Izuku was always scared so he brushed him off and told him to stop bothering him. Then the others came back from a mission and cornered Dabi about why Izuku was nowhere to be found.
Next thing he knew they were breaking into Toga's room to find her literally torturing the poor boy. Izuku was hurt badly and they ended up kidnapping several people in a frantic attempt to save his life. The damage was so severe they had to mess with his mind to make him forget most of it but even then the mental damage never went away.
Dabi was overwhelmed with guilt and blamed himself for that happening and ever since he's been treating Izuku as if he was made of the most expensive and fragile glassware.
"What the fuck happened to him?" Dabi asked darkly.
"Toga really lost her shit this time, she was trying to skin him and attacked me when I tried to stop her. Magne knocked her out, now she's chained up down in the cellar," Compress explained.
"Shigs already down there with her now so it's best if you wait until he's done before going near him," Mange warned.
"Why the fuck was he even alone with her?" Dabi got madder by the second.
"He was just in the next room over playing with your cards, we didn't even know Himiko was back. She didn't come through the front or the back entrance," Twice spoke up.
"That crazy bitch came in through the second-story window, she was probably hiding nearby and waited until you all left since she knows you three would never leave his side," Spinner clicked his tongue.
Dabi calmed himself, "Where is he?"
"In his room, most likely asleep since Shigs left his side, he's pretty shaken up. I've never seen him so scared before," Mange frowned.
Dabi just nodded and headed towards the back and up the stairs where Izuku's room is and paused as he bumped into Kurogiri.
"He just woke up, I'm going to fix him something light, see if you can get him to eat please," Kurogiri placed a hand on his shoulder.
Dabi nodded and knocked lightly before entering Izuku's room, the boy's back was to him as he sniffled to himself.
Dabi walked over and sat on the bed, "Hey bun, how ya' doing?"
Izuku quickly sat up and threw his arms around the older male as he cried, "I should have listened to you, you were right, she wants to hurt me. I shouldn't have stopped you, it's my fault!" he cried more.
Dabi frowned and hugged Izuku, "It's not your fault bun, don't blame yourself for her trying to hurt you. She's the only one at fault ok?"
Izuku tightened his hold, "Please don't leave anymore, I'm scared,"
"I won't, I promise,"
(A/N: Izuku is 12 here)
Chapter 3: Act 3
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku sat crisscross in Tomura's lap, the man was playing some fighting game with spinner. Since Izuku hadn't left this building since he woke up in it at the age of eight his mentality is more or less the same. He thinks and acts much younger than others his age meaning they all continue to treat him as a young child.
In their defense, they're all villains who barely know how to care for themselves. Most of the things he learns come from the villain's life lessons about personal experiences or television. Though Kurogiri has taken it upon himself to start teaching Izuku during his free time. He stated that Izuku is such a bright boy and they shouldn't just let all his brains go to waste or die out.
"Ah! Tomu-Nii Dodge quick!" Izuku yelled out as Spinner charged up his ultimate move.
Tomura grinned, evading his move, "Good Job,"
"That's gotta be cheating!"
"Nope, I helped you last time, don't be a sore loser," Izuku stuck out his tongue.
"I'll definitely win next time,"
Tomura snorted, "Sure,"
Dabi yawned and entered the room plopping down beside Tomura boredly, Izuku quickly hugged him before going right back to the game. Tomura wins and he and Izuku do a little victory cheer making Spinner groan and roll his eyes.
"What should we play next?" Tomura asks Izuku.
Izuku closes his eyes to think, "Umm, let's play the new zombie game!"
"Alright," Tomura goes to it.
"Won't that game be scary for you?" Dabi raised a brow.
"Nothing scarier than you guys," Izuku said in a duh tone.
Tomura placed a hand on his chest, "You think I'm scary?" he gasped.
Izuku giggled, "Yeah cause you're villains but I like scary so it's ok and I'll be a scary villain one day too so I gotta prepare," he grinned.
"You're gonna be a villain huh? Is your dream to be a villain?" Spinner asked.
"No my dream will make me a villain," Izuku suddenly became serious, "Because when I kill All Might and the other heroes that'll make me a villain right?"
"Oh? And why do you want to kill them?" Dabi asked.
"They took my mommy and daddy away from me so they need to die," Izuku turned to him.
"Looks like you know what you wanna do," Shigaraki ruffled his hair "You'll have to get stronger first if you want to fight them though. We'll go see Master later about getting you a quirk,"
Izuku shook his head, "No let's go see Doc instead,"
"Why him?"
"The heroes have someone that can erase quirks so I need something he can't erase, doc can change my body like the nomus," Izuku told them.
"No,"
"Absolutely not,"
Izuku frowned, "Why not?"
"It's not safe,"
"You can become severely deformed or worse,"
"You could die Izu,"
Dabi patted his head, "You can't get revenge if your body is too messed up to fight,"
Izuku puffed his cheeks, "Damnit," he pouted.
"Hey watch that language," Kurogiri scolded as he entered the room.
"Sorry Giri," Izuku said lowly.
"What did I say about cursing around him?" Kurogiri glared.
Shigaraki raised his hands, "Wasn't me,"
"The brats twelve," Dabi said dryly.
"You are a terrible influence," Spinner shook his head.
Kurogiri sighed, "Come on Izuku time for our lessons,"
Izuku excitedly got up and grabbed Kurogiri's hand, "Bye Bye!"
"Later,"
"Bye Izuku,"
"We'll play later,"
Izuku swung their hands, "Giri what can I do?"
"What do you mean?" Kurogiri looked down at him.
"I wanna be strong enough to fight the heroes but they can make quirks disappear so I should change like a nomu but they said I can't cause it's dangerous," Izuku pouted.
"Is that so? How about this, if you do well during your studies today we can start training together. If you get stronger they won't be as worried right?" Kurogiri proposed.
"You're right! Let's do that, I'm gonna get so strong!" Izuku grinned.
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
Izuku rubbed his eyes sleepily and yawned as he climbed out of bed to get a drink. He stepped into his bunny slippers and made his way over to his door. He opened it and smiled a little as he waved at Kuni, the one in charge of watching over Izuku tonight. After what happened with Toga everyone in the league takes turns guarding Izuku's door as it made him feel a lot safer.
"Hey, Izu what are you doing up so late?" He asked gently, crouching so he wasn't towering over Izuku so much.
He was a massive guy, almost seven foot four and he didn't want to make Izuku uncomfortable or nervous by standing so high over him.
"I got thirsty," Izuku told him.
"Oh, I see, want Apple juice again?"
Izuku shook his head, "Can I get chocolate milk instead?"
"Of course,"
Izuku took his hand and the duo headed downstairs and into the kitchen area behind the bar. Izuku sat on the counter and Kuni went to the fridge making chocolate milk with extra syrup, the way Izuku likes it. He then handed it to Izuku who kicked his legs as he happily gulped it all down, chocolate milk was his favorite after all.
Izuku held out the glass, "All done!"
Kuni washed the glass and put it away before helping Izuku down, "Alright let's get you back to bed before we get in trouble," he smiled.
Izuku giggled, "Ok Kuni-san,"
They headed back towards the stairs before Izuku stopped, "Wait, can I use the bathroom first? I don't wanna have an accident..." he frowned.
Kuni gave him a small smile, "Sure,"
They made a U-turn and headed for the bathrooms instead, because this bar used to be a type of inn the bathrooms were connected to showers they had to go through. Once past them, Kuni waited outside the entrance as Izuku went to handle his business, humming to himself as he went.
After he was done he washed his hands and made his way to the door, when he opened it Kuni's body fell inside. A large chunk of his right shoulder and arm was missing, Izuku's eyes widened and he stumbled back in shock, his body running cold at the gruesome sight of his friend.
"K-Kuni-san...?"
The man attempted to activate his quirk and shield Izuku, "I-Izuku run-"
A large portion of Kuni's head was blown away, splattering all over Izuku whose eyes filled with tears. The culprit, a man Izuku didn't even know, revealed himself, a sick and twisted glint in his eyes as he looked at the boy.
"There now no one can disturb us Izu-kun," He smiled at the trembling boy.
"W-who are you? Why'd you h-hurt Kuni-san?" Izuku asked shakily.
"You don't know me? I'm so hurt," He made a sad face.
"What d-do you want?"
He stepped over Kuni's body, "I just want to show you how much I love you Izu-kun,"
Izuku scooted away and shook his head as he cried, "I don't want it,"
That made the man angry and he lunged for Izuku, "You'll accept my love!"
"No, I don't want it! Let me go!"
Izuku put his training to good use but even with his year's worth of fighting skill he just wasn't strong enough to break free of the large man.
"You will love me!" He yelled enraged.
"I WON'T! TOMU-NII HEL-"
The man slammed Izuku's head angst the ground and Izuku's vision went blurry as the man's voice went in and out. Something in Izuku's mind broke as his head throbbed painfully and the man gripped his throat, strangling him.
"S-stop it! I-I-If you l-loved me you wouldn't be h-hurting me!" Izuku managed, his vision changing as he spoke.
His eyes widened, a pink flash to them, and he instantly let go, "Y-you're right, you're so small I should be gentle," he started to tug at Izuku's clothes.
In that moment everything seemed to finally click and Izuku came to understand his truth after being oblivious for so long.
"D-Do you really l-love me?" Izuku asked.
"Yes! I love you more than anything! You're my whole world!" He declared desperately as if to prove it to Izuku.
Izuku turned towards Kuni's body and saw his dagger beside him, "If t-that's true then prove I-it,"
"I'll do anything!"
"I r-really want that dagger s-so I can carve our names into t-the wall, if you loved me y-you'd give it to me. You hurt me so n-now you have to make up for I-it," Izuku turned back to him.
He's so fast he stumbles, nervously getting up to grab the dagger, he then hurries back over to Izuku and gives it to him. Hoping that now Izuku will forgive him for hurting him a few moments ago.
"D-do you love me now?" He asks.
Izuku sits up and smiles a bit, "I-I forgive you,"
The man lights up, "I'm so happy!"
He excitedly goes to hug Izuku only to be stabbed in the throat, he starts to choke on his own blood. A pained expression crosses his face as Izuku looks at him blankly. He pulls the dagger out and stabs it into his neck with more force than the first one, twisting it and driving it deeper.
"I fucking hate you," Izuku said dryly.
The man slumped over dead and Izuku made his way over to Kuni, closing the man's eyes and hugging his mangled corpse.
"Sorry," Izuku mumbled.
Once again someone died trying to protect him, unfortunately, something was now broken. He couldn't cry or feel sad about losing someone, instead, he just felt rage. But now that the target of his rage was no more he just felt numb and empty.
Izuku kissed Kuni's forehead, "Thank you..."
Izuku looked down at the blood on his hands, "I-I killed him, I'm no different from THEM now,"
"My beautiful boy,"
"No," he brought a bloody hand to his scar "They kill innocent people, this man wasn't innocent. I'm not like them, I'm good," he mumbled.
Izuku got up and made his way out of the shower room to see everyone freaking out and searching for him. They had heard the commotion as well as Izuku screaming for Shigaraki to help him which only made it worse. Compress was the first to spot Izuku who was covered in blood and gore.
"Izuku!"
Dabi and Shigaraki rushed over so fast they almost knocked him over, "Are you ok?!"
"What happened?!"
"I wanna see Papa, please," Was all Izuku said.
"Later we need to make sure you're ok," Kurogiri said worriedly.
Izuku let them rush him away, he was tired now anyway.
(A/N: In scene one Izuku is still 12, in scene two the time is current so Izuku is now 15)
Chapter 4: Act 4
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
After Izuku told them what happened they became even more overprotective of him, not allowing anyone but them around the boy. Izuku wasn't even allowed to sleep without one of them anymore and he couldn't go anywhere alone. However, Izuku had things to do, he's spent too much time trapped in his own little world.
Now that the mental blocks in his head were gone he could finally do what needed to be done. He slipped away from the others and somehow got into the basement unnoticed. He had to know if he truly had a quirk and if so he needed to know its limitations.
He's tested it a few times already but what better test subject than Toga? Izuku crouched in front of the chained girl who was currently going in and out of consciousness from the severe beatings she received.
(Yes she's still alive even tho it's been three years now, they wanted her death to be veryyyyy slow)
"Himi-chan?"
"I-Izu-kun? You came t-to see me? Y-you didn't abandon m-me?" Toga could barely focus on him.
"You still love me don't you?"
"Yes! I l-love Izu-kun most o-of all!" Toga declared.
"Then I could never abandon my Himi-chan," Izuku lifted her head and cupped it in his hands.
"P-please free me so we can b-be together," Toga pleaded.
"Not yet, you have to prove you really love me first,"
"I'll do anything!"
"First you have to promise to never hurt me again, if you loved me you wouldn't do that. You don't hurt the people you love you protect them so promise you won't hurt me and you'll protect me," Izuku told her.
"I p-promise! I swear I-it!"
"Good," Izuku smiled "You can't protect me if you're this hurt so you have to heal and get better fast. I know it may be impossible but if you love me you can heal faster than anyone," Izuku smiled brightly.
"I-I will! I'll do I-it!" Toga declared.
Izuku watched as one of her broken fingers began to move, almost like it was fixing itself back into place and he smiled at that.
"I have to go before they find me here but I'll come back soon ok?"
"H-hurry back, I miss y-you so much!"
Izuku got up and left, grinning to himself at the discovery of his godly quirk. His revenge was sure to succeed with this, the heroes don't stand a chance against the villain's love for their innocent devil in disguise. Izuku made his way to the bathroom and paused by the mirror looking at the scar on his forehead.
Just a while longer
He quickly finished his business and left making his way to the bar where Kurogiri was fixing lunch. Kurogiri turned as he walked in and visibly relaxed upon seeing him, glad that nothing had happened.
"You were gone for a while, I was getting worried," Kurogiri sighed "What took so long?"
Izuku looked down, "Sorry...going to the bathroom was harder than I thought," he said lowly.
Kurogiri crouched in front of him, "It's alright, I should have gone with you instead of assuming you were ready,"
Izuku shook his head, "No it's ok, it was a little scary but I did it all by myself," he smiled.
"Yes, you are very brave," Kurogiri patted his head.
"Do you think I can see Papa now?" Izuku asked.
Kurogiri nodded, "Sure, let's go,"
Kurogiri took Izuku's hand and opened a warp gate to the man who turned his head to acknowledge their arrival. Izuku frowned looking at the large man, his injuries were another reason Izuku hated All Might. He nearly took another parent from him and every time Izuku saw All for one it made his blood boil.
"I'll be back to get you in a bit," Kurogiri told him before leaving.
"Hi Izuku, what can I do for you?" AFO asked.
Izuku made his way over and sat on the man's lap, gently removing the man's breathing mask and cupping his face.
The man chuckled, "What is it?" he asked curiously.
"Papa, do you love me?" Izuku asked.
"Of course I do, You're my bunny aren't you? Why do you ask? Does it seem like I don't?" All for one asked.
Izuku frowned, "No...but if you loved me you'd get better," he said lowly.
"Izuku-" AFO paused and Izuku lit up seeing his face start to heal.
"Papa your face!"
Izuku grew excited as AFO's flesh began to reform his face and his eyes grew back, It was incredibly gruesome to see but Izuku was desensitized at a young age. After what he saw his parents do to those people nothing else could compare.
"Izuku...did you do this?" AFO blinked, his vision was blurry but returning nonetheless.
He had been searching for a quirk that could fix him for years and suddenly his body was restored.
"Uh huh, I had a quirk all along I just didn't know!" Izuku jumped on him and hugged his neck.
AFO instinctively put an arm around Izuku so he didn't fall, something he did a lot when he got too excited and bounced around. Despite Izuku being a teen he was still very small for his age and they couldn't understand why he just suddenly stopped growing. Honestly, it seemed like he hadn't aged a bit since the day Shigaraki found him in that alleyway. Maybe his quirk had something to do with that, they'll figure it out eventually.
"Well can you tell me about it, Maybe we can figure out what it is," AFO settled Izuku back in his lap.
"Um, promise you won't get mad?" Izuku looked up at him.
"Alright, I won't get upset,"
"I realized I had it when that man attacked me, I think I can make people that love me do stuff. I snuck out and tried it on a stranger and it didn't work but it works on people who do. It even healed you! That means you love me, Papa! My quirk only works on people who love me! That means I can make you guys super strong so you can beat the heroes right?" Izuku said excitedly.
"Yes I think this quirk suits you very well, we should test it some more to see what you can do," AFO smiled.
"Do you think you can give me another quirk?" Izuku asked.
"What for?"
"I want to be able to protect myself, this quirk doesn't make me stronger so I need one that can," Izuku told him.
"Did you have anything in mind?" AFO thought about it.
"Um, something like telekinesis or fire-breathing, I want to keep my real quirk a secret and pretend I got one like my parents," Izuku kicked his legs.
"Alright I'll find a good one for you but why do you want to keep it a secret?"
"You said to never let your enemies know your most powerful asset, plus if people know about it it won't be as effective. Also, you need a better spy that can get into UA right? I can get into the hero course with the quirk you give me and use my real quirk to make them love me and turn them into pawns for us," Izuku smiled.
AFO grinned and pinched Izuku's cheek, "Look at you taking after me, alright let's do just that,"
Izuku smiled and hugged his neck, "I gotta train to make my body stronger, I gotta go ask Tomu-chan to train me!"
Izuku hopped down and made his way over to the door as AFO called Kurogiri to open a warp gate, his face going blank once he was away from AFO.
We'll be together again soon...
Chapter 5: Act 5
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku struggled to do his push-ups as Mustard sat crisscrossed on his back, counting for him as he went. Mange cheered him on from the side, clapping happily once he got to two hundred and could finally collapse. Mustard got off his back and helped him to his feet as twice ran over with water.
"You did so good! You were awful!" Twice told him.
Izuku chugged the water down and smiled, "Thank you,"
Magne came over with a towel and dropped it on his head before ruffling his hair, "Why don't you take a quick break?"
Izuku nodded, "Ok!"
He made his way out of the training room and headed for Tomura's room opening the door and excitedly going in.
"Tomu-nii I got all the way to two hundred today! You promised to- oh," Izuku squinted his eyes after catching him in a compromising position with Dabi.
"Izuku-"
"You're being nasty!" Izuku pointed.
"No, we aren't! It isn't like that!" Tomura said quickly.
Dabi only snorted but made no effort to back Tomura up, enjoying seeing him freak out. Izuku just crossed his arms looking unconvinced and Tomura got up and went over to try and convince him. Izuku opened his arms and Tomura picked him up and walked back over to his bed.
Izuku just glared at Dabi who raised a brow at him, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You didn't get my permission to date Tomu-nii," Izuku once again crossed his arms.
"We aren't dating!"
"And why do I have to ask you?" Dabi asked amused.
"Because Tomu-nii loves me more than anything so you have to ask me to share his love," Izuku said in a duh tone.
"Then shouldn't he have to ask you for my love too?" Dabi questioned.
Izuku tilted his head a bit before he lit up, "You love me the most?!"
"Obviously, who else would I love? This thing?" He pointed a thumb at Tomura earning a punch.
"Tomu-nii you have to marry bubs so he can be my brother," Izuku told him.
"What if I don't want to marry him?"
"Please? For me?" Izuku asked.
"I'll think about it,"
"Yay!"
"Do I get a say?"
"No, you have to be my brother so you can't back out," Izuku grinned.
"Fine, you're the boss," Dabi nodded.
Izuku grinned at him then he hugged Tomura's neck, "Remember you promised to give me a present for doing twice the amount,"
Tomura held onto Izuku so he didn't fall, "Do you have anything you want in particular?"
Izuku thought about it, "Can you just make me a promise?"
"Sure what is it?"
"When I die take my hand," Izuku held up his right hand "This one cause it's my favorite,"
Both men looked at him, "Why are you talking about dying?"
"What makes you think you're gonna die before me?"
"Anything can happen, I could get super sick or end up in an accident, I could even have a heart attack right now! I just want you to know that if I go you can have my hand ok? I wanna stay with you forever so you gotta," Izuku told him.
"Izu..."
"Promise," Izuku frowned.
"Alright, I promise,"
"Good," He smiled.
"What if I go first?" Tomura asked.
"Then...can I have your hands instead?" Izuku asked.
"Sure,"
Dabi just made a face, "Why did you give him your weird hand fetish?"
"It's not a fetish!"
"Why not do something different instead? His hand thing is something special and personal to him so you should have your own," Dabi tried to convince him.
"Ooo like what?"
"Hm, how about getting a tattoo of his name or something like that?" Dabi told him.
"That's not special, lots of people do that," Izuku crossed his arms.
"How about taking an eye?" Tomura suggested.
"What's up with you and taking body parts? Who would even give him their eye and what would he do with them?" Dabi said dryly.
"That would be up to him wouldn't it?" Tomura gave him a dry look back.
Izuku gasped, "I know what to do! I gotta go see Papa!" he excitedly got up and ran out of the room.
"Stop passing on your gross fetishes," Dabi hit him.
Tenko hit him back, "I don't have a damn fetish,"
Dabi rolled his eyes, "Yeah right,"
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
"Papa I'm ready now," Izuku smiled.
"You're just in time, I just acquired a quirk for you, two actually," AFO smiled.
"Will that be ok? Can my body handle it?"
"Of course, I wouldn't do anything that could possibly harm you. The second quirk is to stabilize the first one and neutralize any drawbacks," AFO explained.
"Ok, Papa," Izuku made his way over to him.
He smiled a bit as AFO placed a hand on his head and closed his eyes as he waited for AFO to start. He soon felt a hot and searing heat envelop his head and rapidly spread throughout his body. It was painful, incredibly painful but it was not unbearable so he gritted his teeth and endured it.
It didn't take long for that heat to be replaced by a bone-chilling coolness that erupted in his core. It sent a chill down his spine, the temperature in his body dropping so quickly and suddenly it felt as if all the blood in his body froze over. The change in body temperature was so quick and drastic that his mind went blank and his heart stopped altogether.
"Izuku?"
Izuku's body went limp and AFO caught him, pulling him close to his body as he felt a feeling he never felt before.
"Izuku," He called out more firmly.
He quickly placed his head on Izuku's chest and-
SILENCE...
"Izuku," He called again "Bunny," he shook the boy, the desperatation clear in his voice.
An odd black substance began to lick at his skin as he held the small boy in his arms. Izuku was so small and fragile in his hold. One small squeeze and he could break him without any effort. Has Izuku always been this small? Has he always been so delicate and helpless?
AFO's mind raced, went silent, then began to race again as he stood still, words no longer escaping him. He just stared at Izuku trembling- trembling? When did he start trembling? Why was he trembling? And why couldn't he breathe right now? His throat tightened like it was closing in on itself, what was happening to him?
THUMP......THUMP......THUMP
OFA stilled as his eyes refocused on Izuku, on his chest, it was moving again, he was breathing again, the color returning to his face. AFO let out a sigh of relief, was he relieved? But why and since when could he breathe again?
Then it all hit him, he had been scared and now he wasn't. Him? Feel fear? But why would he feel fear? Because he thought Izuku had died? Why would he be scared of Izuku dying? He was over a hundred years old, he'd seen countless people die. He had killed his own brother, the one person he's loved- love...
"...That means you love me, Papa! My quirk only works on people who love me!..."
Did he truly love Izuku? Those have always been just empty words to him, love was pointless, meaningless. It served no purpose whatsoever, he had no problem saying it to whoever whenever. It was like instinct to tell people whatever they wanted to hear but had he meant it when he told Izuku he loved him?
Is this what loving someone feels like? This unbearable pain in his chest when he thought he lost Izuku- that he killed him? He didn't feel this with his brother so did this mean he didn't love him as much as he loved Izuku?
Izuku's shallow and weak breathing pulled AFO out of his spiraling thoughts and reminded him that Izuku was the priority right now. He quickly stood up with Izuku in his arms and headed to the lab where Tsubasa was.
"Get over here," AFO said as he walked inside.
The stumpy man rushed over, "Sir what happened?"
"His heart stopped for...a couple minutes?"
Now that it dawned on him he didn't know how long he stood there just holding Izuku's limp body. He should have came here immediately instead of just-
"Sir," Tsubasa slightly raised his voice.
AFO blinked and looked down at him, "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine, what did you say?" AFO asked.
"I said you can lay him down on this table," Tsubasa repeated.
Chapter 6: Act 6
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
"He'll be alright, the quirks you were transferring clashed, and it caused his body to go into shock. Luckily his heart started beating again, the quirks seemed to have assimilated as well. He's going to be ok but we won't know for certain there's no side effects until he wakes up," Tsubasa told him.
AFO gently brushed his hair from his face, using every healing quirk he possessed as he watched Izuku's peaceful face while he slept.
"I don't think I've ever seen you like this before, you must really care for him," Tsubasa commented.
"Hm," AFO focused on Izuku, "I suppose," he mumbled.
"It's alright to move him elsewhere, I know he much he doesn't like being in the lab," Tsubasa smiled a bit.
AFO didn't wait for a second, picking Izuku up and carrying him out of the lab, cradling him protectively. He walked down the hall to his bedroom which he rarely used, not needing much sleep thanks to his quirks. He gently laid Izuku on the bed and tucked him in, lingering for several minutes before leaving begrudgingly. He made his way back to his office where he saw Tomura and Kurogiri waiting for him.
"Master! Where's Izuku it's been hours!" Tomura hurried over.
AFO placed a hand on his head, "Calm down Tomura, Izuku is alright, transferring the quirk tired him out so he's sleeping right now,"
"Can I see him?"
"You can, he's in my bedroom, try not to wake him,"
The two made their way down the hall and AFO followed behind them, watching as Tomura sighed in relief as he saw that Izuku was fine. He sat next to Izuku looking like a puppy waiting for its owner to come back.
"I'm going to have Izuku stay here for a couple of days, initially to make sure the quirk is compatible with his body. Also, it'll be safer for him to train and get used to the quirk while here," AFO took a seat in the chair beside the bed.
"I'll stay here too then," Tomura turned to him.
"You have responsibilities now Tomura, you have a league to watch over and command as well as a plan you need to perfect before you move forward." AFO reminded.
"But master," He frowned.
AFO chuckled, "Do you not trust leaving Izuku in my care?"
Tomura looked back over at Izuku, "It's not that... every time I'm away from him he gets hurt. I feel anxious when I'm not with him,"
"I understand how you feel Tomura," AFO picked up a book "He has been referring to me as his father a lot as of late, he thinks very highly of his birth father so it came as a shock to me. I have no wish to sully or betray that image he has of me so rest assured,"
"Sir...you can just say you care about him," Kurogiri sighed making Tomura chuckle at that.
AFO shook his head, "You should never speak aloud or acknowledge your weaknesses, that was the first thing I taught you," he reminded.
"I think we all have the same weakness," Tomura mumbled "As of late I just want to keep him hidden away from the world but Izuku would hate that. It's frustrating,"
"You want to keep him safe but you also want to keep him happy, I understand because I feel the same," Kurogiri patted his back.
"That's why I gave him the quirks that I did, at the very least he'll be able to protect and defend himself if needed. That's why we need to destroy All Might and get my brother's quirk back, you two can succeed where we failed.
Unlike Yoichi and I, you both love and care for each other like brothers should, you'd do anything for him and he'd do the same. I will pass my quirk onto you and Yoichi's onto him, together you'll stand at the top and create the world you've always dreamed of," AFO told him.
Tomura smiled, "With that kind of power no one can ever hurt him again, and if he ever loses himself I can pull him back. We'll only need each other,"
"You sound possessive Tomura," AFO pointed out.
"I know, I don't mean to be but he's my family and he won't betray me like they did,"
Izuku whined drawing their attention back to him, "Izuku are you alright?" Kurogiri asked.
Izuku winced and turned away, "Bright..." he mumbled.
Kurogiri dimmed the lights and Tomura helped him sit up as AFO came over and placed a hand on his forehead.
"How are you feeling?"
"Warmer than usual...what happened?" He rubbed his eyes.
"Looks like giving you both of those quirks at the same time sent you into shock, you collapsed. I apologize I should have been more cautious," AFO apologized.
"It's ok Papa, I know you weren't trying to hurt me," Izuku smiled.
"I was so worried when you didn't come back after hours," Tomura sighed.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting,"
"Don't apologize, you did nothing wrong," Tomura kissed his forehead.
"You're going to stay here with me for a couple of days to get you and your body used to the quirks. Once we know your body can handle them you can start training with Tomura," AFO told him.
Izuku grew excited, "Can I start now?"
AFO chuckled, "Tomorrow Izuku, you have to rest for now and let your body recover,"
"Awe, ok Papa," Izuku pouted "Can you at least tell me what my quirks are?"
"Of course, the first is called Flame construction, it allows you to create anything you can imagine out of fire. Of course, you'll have to train your mind and learn the inner workings of things to really make that power powerful. This won't be hard for you, you're very intelligent,"
Izuku smiled wide, "What's the second one??"
"Its name is Blazing Soul, in short, your soul is literally fire which likely explains why you feel so warm. Not only are you immune to fire but now you can always use your first quirk and it can't harm you. Its previous owner had two weaknesses, she needed to be around fire to use it and she had no fire resistance.
Now you have a powerful quirk and the perfect constitution for it. I've eliminated all the weaknesses so your only drawback is your own imagination," AFO placed a hand on his head.
Izuku grinned, "My brain is always working, I'm gonna be the strongest ever!"
"Yes, you are,"
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
"Izuku come in here, we're discussing your role now," Compress called him over as he walked to the back.
Izuku grabbed his milk and hurried over to the meeting room, going over to Magne and sitting in her lap. They had come to the estate to see Izuku and go over the plan with AFO to get another opinion and such.
"Alright, as you know you'll be acting as our informant, letting us know when and where All Might will be. However, what I really want is for you to focus on is bringing us All Might's successor. If possible I want to bring him over to our side but it doesn't seem like that'll be easy," Tomura told him.
Kurogiri slid a picture over, "His name is Bakugo Katsuki,"
Izuku's eyes widened and lit up as he looked at the picture, admittedly Izuku had no idea what happened to Katsuki. Really he didn't know about much going on in the world, from the moment Tomura took Izuku in he could tell. Izuku's hatred of heroes ran deep, it was more than just simple hatred really.
From the beginning, every time Izuku saw a hero on TV he flew into a blind rage. His rage was so monstrous it had them scared, it was like Izuku became someone else entirely. He was unrecognizable, after the second time Izuku was no longer allowed to watch live TV, not that he cared. He preferred things like Metube instead anyway so it was an easy rule to follow, he didn't want to see heroes again either.
"I know him! Kacchan's my best friend so you can't hurt him," Izuku frowned at them "He'll join if I'm here, he loves me a whole lot and he hates being away from me the most,"
"It's been a long time Bun, he probably doesn't even remember you, I doubt he'll join just because it's you asking," Dabi spoke up.
Izuku's eyes lowered and Dabi shifted uncomfortably, not liking the way Izuku was looking at him. None of them had ever seen Izuku make a face like that, he didn't look sad or even angry. He looked like he was disgusted by Dabi like he loathed his very existence.
"You don't know my Kacchan, he loves me and he'll do anything to be with me again because he promised he would. Kacchan would never forget me so don't EVER say that again," Izuku's eyes lowered more.
Izuku got up, probably to calm down, "Izuku he didn't mean anything by that, he was only looking out for you," AFO said as Izuku passed him.
Dabi hurried to follow him, he couldn't handle Izuku hating him, not for a second, it hurt too bad. He found Izuku sitting at the island and knelt in front of him. Izuku was the only person he'd ever lower himself for, that's how much power Izuku had over him.
"Bun," Dabi took his hands "Bun look at me...please,"
Izuku could hear his voice tremble and felt guilty, turning to look down at the older male.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you mad, I was stupid and I shouldn't have said that. I just didn't want you to get hurt ok," Dabi looked up at him "Sometimes love fades away and people forget you...my family did. I had to learn the hard way that not everything is forever, not love and especially not promises. People can stop loving you and people can forget you, that's why I'm here right now,"
Izuku looks down, "I'm sorry too...I was mean to you, I shouldn't have done that I just didn't like that. Kacchan means everything, if I don't have him anymore nothing matters..." he said lowly.
"It's ok I understand, he's someone very special to you right?"
Izuku nodded, "Then I know you're just as special, and if he ever forgets you we can make him remember together. Deal?" Dabi smiled.
"Deal," Izuku smiled and locked their pinkies.
Chapter 7: Act 7
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku made his way to AFO's office holding his journal, gently knocking on his door before letting himself in and looking around. He spotted AFO lying on his couch with an arm draped over his eyes, Izuku quietly walked over and crouched beside him.
He pouted and poked the side of his face, "Papa wake up,"
The man didn't budge so Izuku climbed on top of him and sat crisscrossed on his stomach, opening his journal. He scanned his notes and pulled out the diagrams Tsubasa had given to him, scanning over them.
He then looked at AFO and placed stickers on his face in specific locations then marked something in his journal. He continued doing this for about thirty minutes when the man suddenly sat up causing Izuku to fall. AFO instinctively reached his hand out and caught him before he touched the ground, lifting him back onto the couch.
"Are you alright?"
Izuku nodded with a smile, "I'm ok Papa,"
"What were you doing?" AFO asked.
"I came to ask for help, I got stuck with my training but you were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you up so I started studying," Izuku told him.
"Ah, I see I'm sorry,"
"Papa I didn't know you could sleep, I've never seen you sleep before so I thought you were faking to trick me. But I poked you and you didn't even notice! You slept for a long time and didn't wake up even though I was sitting on you. Are your quirks broken? You always notice everything!" Izuku sat in front of the man.
AFO chuckled, "No they aren't broken, since you healed me I got careless and stopped using my sensory quirks. And my detection quirk only works against threats and you aren't a threat to me," he patted his head.
"Oh," Izuku tilted his head "So why were you sleeping? I thought you didn't need to,"
"I don't but truthfully I've been feeling bored as of late, sleeping makes time go faster,"
"Then you can help me train so you don't get bored," Izuku smiled wide.
"Alright then, what were you stuck on?" AFO asked.
"I wanted to see if I could make something like a nomu or person with my quirk so I've been doing lots of research on the body. I even got some diagrams from Doc and memorized them but I need to really understand how the body works. So I wanted to look at a real body and the insides, like dissection or something!" Izuku explained.
AFO thought about it, "We'll have to go see Tsubasa then, this is his expertise,"
"Ok,"
AFO scooped Izuku into his arms and stood up making Izuku quickly hug his neck as he laughed.
"I thought you said I shouldn't get picked up anymore 'cause it's spoiling me?" Izuku giggled.
"I'm allowed to spoil my bunny sometimes, I've never had a child before so I should go all out for my first right?"
Izuku's eyes widened at that and AFO turned to him when he got sad, "Are you alright? Did I upset you?"
Did he say something wrong? Izuku has been referring to him as his dad so he assumed it would be ok to do the same. Was he wrong? Maybe Izuku wasn't ready for that yet.
Izuku gave him a soft smile and shook his head before lying on his shoulder, "No I'm happy...I like you being my Papa, you even have white hair like my daddy,"
AFO gently rubbed Izuku's back, "I may not be him but I love you all the same,"
Izuku hugged him tighter before his eyes widened, this time in shock, as he sat up, "Wait! You've never had a kid before?! But you've been alive for a really long time!"
AFO chuckled, "I never had the time to settle down, and when I did I never met anyone I wanted to spend time with. When you're someone like me, people only flock around you because they want something from you not because they care about you. Hm, if I'm being honest other than my brother you are the only person I've cared for," he admitted.
Izuku gasped, "So I'm your special family?!"
AFO chuckled again, "Yes you are,"
Suddenly that made Izuku sad, "But won't that mean you'll be really sad when I leave?"
"It's not like I'll never see you, it may be a long mission but it won't be forever," AFO told him.
"No, I mean when I die...you're gonna live longer than me so that means you'll be sad and lonely once I'm gone. I don't want you to be sad," Izuku frowned.
AFO smiled gently, "Izuku that won't be for a long while, we have plenty of time to make lots of memories before then. Besides nothing is set in stone, I'll likely go before you do, I'm not immoral after all,"
"Hmmm," Izuku hung off his neck "What if we could be? I want to be a God, strongest in the world is too small for me," he grinned with a giggle.
AFO looked at Izuku with a mixture of pride and shock, "Your ambitions are even greater than mine, alright I'll help you achieve that as best as I can,"
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
"Himi-chan?" Izuku called out.
He could hear chains clinking and Toga appeared running straight for Izuku making the others behind him go on guard.
"I knew that psycho-"
"It's ok," Izuku giggled.
Toga pounced on him and hugged him tightly, rubbing her face against him as she pouted, "Izu-kun I missed you!"
Izuku hugged her back, "Are you all better now?"
Toga stood up and flexed, "Uh huh! I've been working out this whole time to get stronger for you!" she beamed.
Kurogiri lifted Izuku onto his feet, "That's good!" he clapped.
"Am I finally getting out of here? This place is blegh," She made a disgusted face.
"Mhm but you can't be with me all the time, I'm going on a mission so you have to be on your best behavior 'kay? Focus on your training and listen to Tomu-nii, if you do well I'll take you with me," Izuku told her.
"Promise?"
"Pinky promise,"
She smiled and locked their pinkies, "Ok!"
"Come on Izuku, master wants to see you before you go," Tomura said.
"Ok, bye-bye Himi-chan!"
"Bye-bye, Izu-kun!" She waved wildly.
Izuku took Tomura's hand as they made their way to the bar where the man was waiting, Izuku running to hug him.
AFO chuckled as he patted Izuku's head, "Are you sure you're ready?"
Izuku smiled brightly, "Yup! We're gonna put him in the dirt!"
"Yes, we are," AFO smiled "Here I have something for you,"
He reached into his pocket and pulled something out, placing it in Izuku's hand, "This was the only thing with you when Tomura and Kurogiri found you. I didn't give it to you sooner for fear of it triggering you. However, you're much stronger than you were back then, mentally and physically. It was left with you so you should have it with you,"
Izuku looked down at what was in his hand and paused, Mustard leaned over his shoulder, "What is it?"
"My parents' wedding rings," He held them to his chest.
"Here,"
Izuku turned as Dabi came over, removing the chain he always wore around his neck and sliding the rings on. He then put the chain around Izuku's neck and patted his head making him smile.
"Thank you," He smiled wide "I'm gonna be the best spy ever,"
"We know you will,"
Kurogiri held out his hand, "Come on,"
Izuku grabbed his hand and waved goodbye before they left, "I'll drop you near UA,"
Izuku shook his head, "Can you drop me somewhere else? I feel like seeing them now,"
"Of course,"
Kurogiri opened a warp gate and Izuku hugged him tight, the man hugging him back and crouching down.
"I know you want to do your best to help us but above everything else, YOU are the most important thing to us. Always put you and your safety first you hear me? If things get dangerous for you abandon everything and get away, none of us will be upset with you. The only thing we care about is that you're safe and ok, we can always make a new plan but we can't make a new you," Kurogiri told him.
Izuku nodded, "I know Giri Giri, I'll run away I promise,"
Kurogiri hugged Izuku again, "All you have to do is call me and I'll come get you from wherever,"
"I'm gonna miss you,"
"I'm gonna miss you too Izuku,"
Izuku stepped through the warp gate and turned to see Kurogiri waving at him, he waved back, and the gate closed. He stood there for a moment, he was alone now without help, he'll have to hold on without them but he could do it. He turned around to look at the headstones that belonged to his mother and father.
"I'm finally strong enough, I can get revenge for you two now, just like I promised you. I have to make things right, it's my fault you died, if I had known I had this quirk I could have made you strong enough to beat them,"
"Deku...?"
Izuku turned to see Katsuki a few steps away, roses in hand, likely to replace the withered ones in his parent's vase.
"Kacchan?" Izuku stood up.
"Is that really you?" His voice was wobbly.
Izuku lit up, "Kacchan!"
Izuku ran to hug him excitedly, he didn't think he'd get to see him again so soon, and Dabi was wrong.
"I knew my Kacchan would never forget me!" He giggled "Woah you got so big, you're like all the way up here now,"
Izuku glared at him for being so much bigger than him now before hugging his waist and smiling up at him, now softer.
"I really missed you Kacchan," he mumbled.
Katsuki, finally getting over his shock, gently cupped Izuku's face seeing that he was actually real and he wasn't going fucking insane.
"I-I thought I lost you, where have you been?" Katsuki asked shakily.
"Waiting for you to come find me," Izuku smiled a little.
Katsuki hugged him tightly, "Well I finally did," he held him protectively "I finally did..."
Chapter 8: Act 8
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
After Katsuki's emotions settled he placed the roses in the vase and turned his attention back to Izuku who waited patiently. Katsuki couldn't help but notice that Izuku...hadn't changed one bit, it actually unnerved him. Izuku doesn't seem to have aged a day since that incident, it was almost as if he was a ghost frozen in time.
But Katsuki could feel him, he could feel his smooth skin, he could feel the heat radiating from his body, he could feel his pulse beating beneath his skin. He could even smell the strawberry shampoo from his hair, the same one he used ever since they were kids.
"Izuku...where have you been? What happened that day?" Katsuki asked.
Izuku looked down and tightened his hold on Katsuki's hand and the male immediately understood what that meant. Izuku refused to answer his questions because he refused to lie to Katsuki. Izuku always said you shouldn't lie to the people you love no matter what. So if you can't tell them the truth just don't speak at all because lying would hurt them more than staying quiet.
Katsuki nodded, "Ok, let's go to my school instead, it's close and they probably know how to deal with this,"
Izuku lit up at that, "You mean UA? You really got in?!" he said excitedly.
"Of course, it's only been a couple of weeks but I'm already the strongest, there are pros there that can help you," Katsuki smiled.
Izuku didn't like that one bit and Katsuki could tell, "Hey don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you,"
"Ok, Kacchan..."
Katsuki took his hand, keeping the male close to him, as he led the way while Izuku looked around taking in what he saw. Other than that one time he snuck out he hadn't been outside like this, the most he did was look out the window. He'd ask Katsuki questions about things that were different or he didn't recognize and the male obliged.
"What's UA like?" Izuku asked.
"It's like regular school except now we train our quirks and learn heroics," Katsuki told him.
"Do you think I can be a student? I wanna train my quirk too," he said excitedly.
Katsuki paused, "You...have a quirk?" he said shocked.
Izuku nodded, "You were right I'm a late bloomer!"
"What kind of quirk is it?" Katsuki asked.
"I can make stuff out of fire but it's kinda hard 'cause I gotta know how stuff work but I've been taking stuff apart to learn," Izuku said excitedly.
Katsuki smiled at him, "Oh really? Can you make me fireproof?"
Izuku frowned a bit, "Oh um, maybe?" he said unsure.
He most likely could if he used his original quirk but Katsuki had to love him for that and he wasn't sure if he still did.
"I was just joking Deku, I don't really want you to do that," Katsuki looked down at him.
Izuku pouted, "Don't be mean Kacchan,"
"Ok, I won't be mean," Katsuki spotted Aizawa standing out front, "Look we're here now,"
The man looked at him tiredly, "What was so-" he noticed Izuku "Did you kidnap a kid?"
Katsuki scowled, "No I didn't kidnap a kid, and don't call him a kid we're the same age,"
Aizawa put his focus back on Izuku who gripped Katsuki's hand tighter and moved closer to him, "Kacchan I don't like his eyes," he said warily.
His gaze made Izuku's skin itch, it made his body feel heavy and it made him feel weak. Looking at him was forcing painful buried memories to the surface of his mind.
Aizawa looked taken aback by that, "It's ok Deku, he's not a bad man, he's my Sensei and he can help,"
"Help with what exactly?" Aizawa asked.
"Can we go to Recovery Girl first? I want to make sure he's ok first," Katsuki told him.
Aizawa sighed, "Alright,"
He opened the door for them and Katsuki led Izuku by the hand, reassuring him that he wouldn't let anything happen to him. Izuku looked around at everything curiously before growing uncomfortable as Aizawa's eyes never left him.
He stayed close to Katsuki and scratched his arm nervously, he let out a shaky breath when he no longer felt eyes on him. Katsuki opened a door and Izuku walked in to see it was an infirmary with a nice-looking old lady looking at some papers.
She looked up at them in confusion, "What brings you here?"
"Can you look over him and make sure there's nothing wrong with him?" Katsuki asked.
She looked at Aizawa who nodded, "Sure," she smiled at Izuku "I'm recovery girl but you can call me Chiyo,"
Izuku smiled, "I'm Izuku,"
"Alright Izuku, why don't you sit up here on this bed and let me take a look at you," Chiyo led him to the bed.
"Yes ma'am,"
Katsuki moved to be closer to Izuku so he wouldn't feel unsafe, "So what's this about?" Aizawa asked.
"Do you remember the Hosu incident from seven years ago? The Midoriya family?" Katsuki asked.
"Yes?" Aizawa looked between them.
"That was him and his parents, our families were close and we were raised together," Katsuki told him.
"But the child is missing and presumed dead,"
"Exactly but he isn't so I brought him here because I didn't know what to do and he...doesn't want to tell me what happened," Katsuki glanced at Izuku who seemed sad as he tried not to listen in.
"This," Aizawa pulled out his phone "We'll need to discuss this with Nezu but he'll have to tell us what happened," he sent a text.
Aizawa pocketed his phone and walked over to Izuku, he lowered himself so he wasn't so big since he obviously made him uncomfortable.
"I know you're wary of me, it's my quirk and I'd cover my eyes if I could but I'm not able to so I'm sorry. However, I promise hurting you is the last thing I want to do, I think I can help you but you'll have to let me ok?"
Izuku glanced at Katsuki who smiled before turning back to the man, "Ok...Kacchan trusts you so I'll try to trust you too," he looked at his lap.
Aizawa smiled, "Thank you," he turned to Chiyo "How's he looking?"
"Other than fatigue and being a little underweight he's fine, which is odd considering his body temperature is lethally hot. Do you perhaps have a fire quirk?"
Izuku nodded, "Mhm, it manifested a few months ago and I've been super hot ever since," he smiled.
"I see,"
"Do you know why he's so small?" Katsuki asked.
"What do you mean?" Chiyo asked confused.
"His sixteenth birthday is in a couple of months and he still looks like a kid, when we were younger he was the bigger one. The pediatrician even said he'd still be bigger than me now but he still looks the same as he did back then," Katsuki crossed his arms.
"Yeah, I stopped growing when I was eight, now Kacchans bigger," Izuku sighed.
"Hm, I'm not sure why he isn't growing but I can try to find out," Chiyo told them.
"Ok,"
Aizawa yawned, "Come on let's head to the teacher's lounge,"
Izuku hopped down and took Katsuki's hand, "Bye Chiyo!"
The elder smiled, "Goodbye Izuku,"
The duo left, following behind Aizawa as Izuku started asking more questions about hero classes.
"I wanna go to UA with Kacchan too," Izuku told him.
"Oh yeah, we can be a hero duo now," Katsuki smiled.
Izuku shook his head, "I don't want to be a stupid hero anymore I just wanna stay with Kacchan,"
Both males seemed taken aback by that, "Why not? You used to cry about wanting to be a hero, you wanted to be one more than me,"
"Why should I save the people that used to hurt me? They don't deserve my help so I won't help them," Izuku huffed.
"Well not everyone is a good person but no one deserves to lose their life, that's why we help regardless of knowing if they're good or not," Aizawa spoke.
"That's not true, lots of people deserve to die, there are just some people that shouldn't exist because they cause more harm than good," Izuku stated firmly.
"Hm," Aizawa didn't know how to respond to that.
They just walked the rest of the way in silence, eventually reaching the teacher's lounge. Aizawa opens the door and lets them walk ahead before following after them.
"Young Bakugo, what are you doing here after hours?" Yagi asked upon seeing him.
"It's not something we can talk about openly at the moment," Aizawa answered.
"Ah, I see,"
"Deku this is my mentor, guess who he is," Katsuki grinned.
Izuku looked from Yagi and back to Katsuki then frowned, "Kacchan...are you being bullied?"
"Huh? No, why do you ask that?" Katsuki looked confused.
"Can he even stand on his own? How could this person be Kacchan's mentor? They're not looking down on you are they?" Izuku whispered.
"No," Aizawa held in a laugh and Katsuki snorted, "This is All Might, he's just not in his hero form right now,"
Izuku's face fell as soon as those words left Katsuki's mouth, dozens of spears made of fire surrounded the man who immediately went on guard. He transformed but that just made the spears triple in count, one aimed at his every vital point and several aimed at his throat.
"Woah!"
"Young Man what is the meaning of-"
A spear shot forward, stopping centimeters from the center of his forehead, "Shut the fuck up," Izuku said darkly.
His eyes immediately darted to the left and he moved behind Katsuki in an instant, now out of his line of sight.
"Deku stop, what are you doing?" Katsuki quickly turned to him.
"Don't get in my way," Izuku said coldly.
"Izu it's me, you know I'm always on your side, right? I know you wouldn't do this without a good reason but I can't let you. If you do this I can't help you so please stop," Katsuki reasoned.
Izuku looked at him and clicked his tongue in annoyance, he's always been weak when it comes to his Kacchan. The spears disappeared but the hatred in his eyes remained and Katsuki dragged him away, taking advantage of the adult's shock. Aizawa eventually followed and they made their way to Nezu's office.
"Where are you going? We are not ignoring this-"
"I know," Katsuki firmly "Can we just let him calm down and talk to him before you try to arrest him or some shit? Deku wouldn't do this for no fucking reason,"
"He still attacked a person intending to kill Bakugo, we can't overlook that even if he was a kid," Aizawa said firmly.
"Let's hear him out at least then," Katsuki glared back at him.
They reached the office and Katsuki just opened the door, ushering Izuku in much to Aizawa's clear dismay.
Nezu smiled as usual, "Seems like my long-awaited guest has arrived,"
"We should be de-"
"Enough Shota, Bakugo is right, we should hear him out at least," Nezu smiled.
Izuku sat on the chair with a huff and Katsuki kneeled in front of him, "Why did you do that?" he frowned.
"He killed Dad," Izuku said through clenched teeth.
Katsuki's eyes widened, "What? Are you sure?"
"I watched him do it," Izuku's eyes darkened.
Nezu got up from his desk and walked over, taking Izuku's hand as Katsuki moved, "This is a safe place, I can promise you I won't let anything happen to you, you are not in any trouble-"
"Sir you cannot be serious," Aizwa said in shock.
"I am very serious, I believe him," Nezu smiled "What's your name?" he asked.
"Midoriya Izuku..."
"Hello Midoriya, I'm Nezu, the principal of this institute," He introduced "I heard you are the child from that awful incident seven years ago, in Hosu,"
Izuku looked surprised, "How do you know about that? Did you look it up?"
"There isn't a pro who doesn't know about it, it was all over the news and media for days after. The videos of it are still up to this day," Nezu answered.
Izuku clenched his fist, "What...? The worst day of my life was put on the internet?"
"I understand this isn't a pleasant thing to hear, I've been working to get those videos taken down but it won't be possible to fully erase them," Nezu said gently "More importantly it was thought that you had long since perished but that is clearly not the case. If you are willing, can you tell us what happened on that awful day? That way I can help you to the best of my ability,"
Izuku sighed and looked down, "...Ok,"
Chapter 9: Act 9
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku looked at his lap, "I didn't get my quirk until a few months ago so we thought I was quirkless. Kacchan always protected me from bullies but one day when we were six they started hurting me cause he wasn't around. When he finally showed up he got so mad he attacked them and lost control, it was bad...."
Katsuki looked away at the memory, "We blacked out and ended up in the hospital, I woke up on his last day. My mom said that I lose control when it comes to him and I'd end up going too far someday. She decided we'd move away, she separated us and that was the last time I saw him,"
"After Kacchan left someone had to take the blame for what he did so it all fell on me, probably cause I didn't have a quirk. I got harassed and attacked a lot by the families of those kids so I had to be homeschooled but it got so bad we moved altogether.
Things died down for a bit and a year went by ok so Mom decided we should go out since I'd been hiding away. Someone recognized us and found out where we lived, we couldn't leave the area completely. Mom and Dad used most of our savings on legal fees for harassment and a restraining order," Izuku gripped his shirt.
"They started throwing trash at our house and keying our car then it escalated to leaving dead animals at our door. One of the kids Kacchan hurt wasn't doing good, he hurt them all really bad but he was the worst. He needed a kidney and they said I needed to give him mine and that they didn't care that I only had one.
They said his life was more valuable than mine and he had a bright future so I should die for him. We decided to just try and ignore them then that night they all swarmed our house trying to get in and take me by force. We called the police but it had been twenty minutes and they still didn't come.
I was scared they'd hurt my mom and dad so I came out of the place I was hiding to beg that they just let them have me. Mom started telling me to go back upstairs when one of them threw a big rock through our window. It hit me in the face..."
Izuku touched the large scar on his face, "That's how I got this, Mom and Dad got so mad and I'd never seen them mad before. They finally managed to break down the door and they started to attack each other. Mom and Dad don't have strong quirks but in that moment I thought they could even beat All Might," Izuku paused to compose himself.
"I can't remember a lot of things, I was in a bunch of pain and I was losing a lot of blood. Things kept going in and out, I remember Mom and Dad standing on a mass of bodies, covered in blood. They seemed to realize what they did and didn't take it well but then they saw me and did their best to stay calm for me.
The heroes showed up and Dad tried to get help for me but they attacked him, probably because they thought he was a villain. They started attacking the house so he told Mom to take me and go, when we were running away I saw Dad fighting back. Trying to keep them from seeing us run, I remember seeing All Might and feeling so relieved. I thought he had come to save us but then he hit my Dad a-and he never got back up," Izuku's voice cracked.
"Deku..." Katsuki sat beside him and rubbed his back.
Izuku sniffed and wiped his eyes, "Anyway I blacked out after that, and when I woke up Mom was hiding me in an ally behind trash cans. I begged her not to leave me but the heroes were close so she had to leave me behind. I don't know how long I was there but I knew I was going to die soon too," Izuku wiped his face.
"What happened next?" Nezu asked gently.
Izuku turned away from Katsuki now directing his full attention on the other two in the room, he no longer acknowledged Katsuki meaning he was about to lie. Katsuki gently patted his back to let him know he was ok with that, he wouldn't say anything about it.
"A man found me and took me home with him, he didn't talk a lot or ask me anything about why I was in the ally. He just took care of me and looked after me without getting too close, I don't even know his name or what he looks like. He always wore this mask thing and never answered when I asked about him so I stopped asking.
But Nii-san was still nice to me and raised me, he taught me things sometimes and even helped me when I got my quirk. But a few weeks ago he left, he always left for hours every day but he never came back that day... I waited and waited but I didn't like being by myself, I thought he had abandoned me. So I left and wandered around trying to figure out where to go.
I ended up at a park me and Kacchan used to play at and realized I had been close to my old neighborhood the whole time. So the first place I went was the cemetery, I wanted to see if Mom and Dad were there. Then Kacchan finally found me and now I'm here,"
"I see, you've been through quite a lot, haven't you? I'm sorry you've had to go through so much at such a young age," Nezu told him.
Izuku smiled a little, "Thank you,"
Katsuki finally spoke, "So what now? What's gonna happen to him?"
"We'll have to let it be known he's still alive, don't worry he was and is a child so nothing will happen to him for the unfortunate actions his parents had to take. He'll likely be placed in the system," Nezu told him.
"Can't I stay with Kacchan? We're family, we were raised together," Izuku frowned.
Katsuki looked away, "I...don't think you'll be able to stay with me?"
"Why not...?"
"I blamed Mom for what happened to you and lost control hurting her, I don't think she'll be comfortable with you staying with us," Katsuki said lowly.
"Oh..."
"How about you discuss it with your parents first? At the very least I think they should know he's safe and sound. In the meantime, you can stay with me if you're ok with that," Nezu smiled.
Izuku lit up, "Really?!"
Aizawa spoke up, "I don't know if that's a good idea...I'd rather he stay with me than you,"
Izuku tensed at that, "No thank you," he said quickly.
"You seem wary of Shota, is there a particular reason? If anything he's the most suitable to look after you for the time being," Nezu told him.
Izuku gripped his arm, "I don't know...his eyes make me feel bad, I don't like it," he said lowly.
This wasn't an act, Aizawa genuinely makes Izuku feel uneasy, he's been through many life-threatening situations but this is the most unsafe he's felt.
"Would it help if you knew his quirk?" Nezu asked.
Izuku nodded and Nezu turned to Aizawa, "My quirk allows me to erase someone's quirk as long as I'm looking at them,"
A look of panic crossed Izuku's face and Katsuki was quick to get between the two and calm him down.
"What is it?" Nezu asked once Izuku was calm.
"What if he accidentally uses his quirk on me?" Izuku's voice trembled "My quirk made my organs fire, what'll happen to me if my quirk stops? Will I die?" Izuku panicked.
He couldn't die before fulfilling his mission and getting his revenge, he had to keep his promises so he couldn't die yet!
"Sensei's a pro don't worry, he won't make that mistake I promise. He's not a bad hero, I trust him so you can too," Katsuki assured him.
" ...You mean it?"
"I wouldn't lie to you,"
"I can assure you I won't use my quirk on you, if the situation calls for it there are many safer ways to calm you down," Aizawa told him.
Izuku eyed him, clearly not fully convinced, "...ok,"
"For now why don't you take a look at this to make sure it's correct, this is the most information we could find from your medical records. We need to verify your identity somehow," Nezu told him.
Izuku took the papers and his face scrunched up a bit, "What's wrong?" Katsuki asked.
Izuku held the paper out to Nezu, "I haven't learned how to read some of these words yet, I can understand the gist of it from the words I can read but not this section,"
They looked a bit surprised, "You...can't read at your age level?"
"I know a plethora of words and their meanings but I just started learning how to read several months ago so I'm not that good at it yet," Izuku told him.
"I see,"
"How about I read it to you?" Aizawa offered.
"That's a good idea, getting to know him might help you get used to him," Katsuki told him.
"Ok Kacchan," Izuku surprisingly agreed easily.
They sat off to the side and Katsuki took the chance to speak to his principal, "See what I mean, mentally and physically he hasn't aged at all. Could it be because of his quirk? What if more than just his organs changed? It may have something to do with why he isn't growing,"
"I wouldn't say he isn't growing mentally, from the report Chiyo sent over his brain has continued to develop. The reason he is behind for his age is simply because his mental growth hasn't been stimulated normally. He's simply just someone who started their education later than they were supposed to and from the looks of it, he is an incredibly fast learner.
I think it will be best for him to sit in with your class during school hours and during heroics, I can work with him on the areas he's behind in. Seeing as how you are the person he trusts the most and clings to as long as you're close he should be fine," Nezu told him.
Katsuki nodded, "That sounds good to me,"

Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
"You're coming back right?" Izuku frowned as he held onto Katsuki.
"Of course, we'll be going to school together now so you'll see me a lot," Katsuki smiled.
"Can we sit together too?"
"I don't see why not," Nezu smiled.
"Ok...bye Kacchan," Izuku said quietly.
"See you tomorrow,"
Katsuki left, needing to get back home before it got too late and Nezu turned his attention back to Izuku.
"Before we leave too how about you show us your quirk and how well you can use it?"
Izuku nodded, "Ok,"
As they headed to the training field they came across Yagi who was now leaving for the day, his gaze on Izuku unfriendly. Aizawa held his hand out to Izuku who hesitated before accepting it, squeezing it as he passed the man.
"Yagi I'd like to have a word with you," Nezu turned to them "You two go ahead,"
Nezu walked off and the duo continued on silently, "We're wary of each other, I will admit that, but I can understand your actions though I don't excuse them. I'd like for us to build trust with one another so why don't we start with being honest, I'll answer your questions if you answer mine. Deal?" Aizawa asked.
"Ok,"
"Is it only Yagi you have issues with?"
"No, I hate all of the heroes that were there, not a single one helped even though they saw me, a child. Even when mom stopped defending herself and just ran, even when she couldn't fight back anymore they kept attacking her. I didn't see it because she left me but she didn't get far before they caught her.
A lot of my memories of that day are fuzzy because I kept losing consciousness. But I still have dreams about it, in those dreams, I hear her begging them to stop and screaming as she's beaten to death. It's to vivid to just be a dream and one of them saw me as they went after Mom. We made eye contact and she left me there," Izuku stared ahead blankly.
"I'm sorry..."
"It's not like you participated,"
"But as a hero, I'm sorry they didn't act like one," Aizawa looked down at him "I can't guarantee you won't come across Yagi unfortunately, do you think you can keep your composure when you see him?"
"Yes, I don't want to cause trouble for Kacchan so I will endure it," Izuku mumbled.
"Since he's the heroics teacher I'll try to send you to Nezu before he arrives to minimize the chances of you seeing him,"
"Thank you,"
"Do you have any questions for me?" Aizawa asked.
"Why aren't you trying to arrest me anymore? You weren't very subtle with your mistrust of me," Izuku glanced up at him.
Aizawa sighed, "After seeing your reaction to learning who Yagi was it was clear you can't control or contain your anger very well. Your immediate reaction was to kill him, that means that we'll be at great risk if we happen to upset you. I didn't intend to arrest you I intended to put you someplace where you can't harm others or yourself. Not permanently, just until we can figure out how to help you safely and efficiently,"
"You don't need to worry about that, unlike them I have no desire to kill anyone just because they did something I dislike. I may look like one but I'm not a fragile child like you all keep treating me, I am very capable of articulating how I feel without lashing out and getting violent.
I simply reacted that way because it was my first time seeing him after he killed my father and I have years of built-up anger and hatred for him. However, I can't guarantee I won't react violently if I am touched without consent, it's a trauma response due to past incidents that I am working on,"
"I will keep that in mind and make sure my colleagues and class are made aware of your boundaries," Aizawa told him.
"I appreciate it,"
"May I ask about something else?"
Izuku looked at him, "Yes?"
"I'm sure Bakugo and Nezu noticed this as well and just chose not to speak on it to try not to upset you. I'm more of a straightforward and blunt person so I'm just going to ask you out right. Your speech and demeanor are different from earlier, it was different when you attacked Yagi as well. Where you putting on an act and this is how you truly are or is it something else?"
"I...actually don't have an answer for that, I don't know why I am this way either. I assume it's from the head injuries I have sustained. The way I acted before is how I've been since I got hurt during that incident. That's how I usually am but after a head injury I received months ago I have these...moments.
My mind clears up and I become more aware(?) I guess you could say, of my thoughts, actions, and behavior. It's like a moment of clarity that how I act and what I've been doing isn't normal for my age. It's like waking up from a trance and I'm me again but then it's gone and I'm back to how I usually am until it happens again.
It doesn't happen very often, sometimes it doesn't happen for days or weeks then suddenly I'm "awake". It will also happen when I'm experiencing great emotional distress like earlier when I saw All Might," Izuku explained slowly, Aizawa could tell he truly didn't understand.
"It may be a brain injury or a mental/personality disorder born from all the trauma you have endured. We can speak with Chiyo tomorrow after school if you'd like to be evaluated, knowing might help you navigate and deal with it better," Aizawa told him.
"I'd like to give it a try,"
They reached the field and Aizawa turned to him, "Can you explain your quirk to me? Then you can demonstrate how it works so I can get a better understanding of it,"
Izuku nodded, "I can construct things out of fire but I need to understand the molecular structure of what I'm creating,"
"I have a student whose quirk has the same condition so luckily I can easily help with that," Aizawa told him.
"Really? That's my only drawback,"
"Is that so? How proficient are you and how much can you use your quirk?" Aizawa asked.
"Um, I've used my quirk non-stop for two days straight, that's how long I lasted before passing out from exhaustion. I haven't tried to make any actual weapons since I usually make spears or orbs when I needed to protect myself.
Oh, but I did successfully create a golem not too long ago. That took me two months of studying and then about another of practicing to finally create it," Izuku explained.
"Why would you push yourself like that for two whole days?" Aizawa asked concerned.
"Well look at me, I'm really small compared to other people, and my quirk doesn't make me physically stronger. I'm in trouble if an enemy gets too close so my first thought when it manifested was defense. I needed something to protect me from harm and I needed to be able to maintain it for as long as needed. So I pushed and pushed myself until I could maintain it for two days. It seemed like a sufficient amount of time," Izuku shrugged.
"So do you have a strategy?" Aizawa asked.
"Mhm, I try to keep a distance, it's best if I haven't even been discovered yet, and I attack. If I get discovered or they start getting too close that's when I go on defense and create my golem. But that's my last resort, I really want to create a golem that can think for itself. Controlling the golem and maintaining my defense might put too much strain on me if I do it for too long,"
Aizawa nodded, "Ok that can be one of the things we work on improving. Is there anything else you can do?"
"Nii-san began to train me after I said I wanted to make up for my lack of a quirk so I've been doing that for years. My training was increased after my quirk manifested though, I almost won the last time we sparred. He taught me a few different fighting styles to help me figure out which was best suited for me,"
"I see, how about first you show me your defense and then you can show me the golem," Aizawa suggested.
"Ok,"
Aizawa watched as first Izuku made a shield that could vary in size, next was a wall of fire. After that was a large circle of fire that surrounded him then it formed into a dome. That became a cell-like cage and then a spider web-like net with spikes protruding from the gaps.
"That's quite versatile,"
"Thanks, here's my strongest golem,"
Izuku sat crisscrossed on the ground and placed both his hands on the ground before him. Fire swirled around in front of him as balls of fire began appearing around him. Each one that appeared was larger than the last and began coming together.
The balls of fire started to form massive legs and more and more fire appeared to create the rest of its massive body. Aizawa took a few steps back as he looked up at the massive being in absolute shock.
The golem was at least eighty feet tall, Aizawa couldn't help but be cautious as it bent down to pick Izuku up. The male giggled as he sat on its palm, waving at a the startled teachers that came outside to see what was happening.
"Oh my god..."
"What the hell?"
"Did he make that giant?"
Nezu smiled as he waved back to Izuku, "How interesting,"
(The fire golem kinda looks like this and no Izu did not reveal his full strength so don't worry)
Chapter 11: Act 11
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
"I'm home," Katsuki announced.
Masaru rounded the corner, "You're a lot later than usual, did something happen?"
"Yeah...I need to talk to you guys about something, where's mom?" Katsuki removed his shoes and sat his bag down.
"She's out back on the patio,"
Katsuki made his way to the back patio and peeked out to see Mitsuki listening to an audio book as she relaxed, "Ma it's important, can you come inside for a bit?"
Mitsuki turned to him, "Is it the reason you're so late?"
"Mhm,"
She sighed and stood up, stretching her joints then making her way inside after pocketing her phone. She joined her equally confused husband in the living room and sat down.
"What's this about Katsuki?" Masaru asked concerned.
"I went to Auntie and Uncle's graves today and I saw Deku, he was crouched by it and crying. It was really him this time...I didn't have an episode," He added before they spoke "I didn't know what to do so I took him back to UA and they made sure he was ok,"
They were beyond surprised and relieved to know that he was alive, "How is he?" Masaru asked.
"He's ok...for the most part, he hasn't changed at all physically and mentally he's the same as before but..." Katsuki faultered.
"But?" Mitsuki waited.
"The way he acts, principal Nezu says it's just that Deku is behind academically because he can't read or write that well. He doesn't know Deku though, yeah he acts a lot younger than he is now but even when we were kids he more mature than he should've been. I know it's Deku and he's still the same but the way he acts worries me," Katsuki explained.
"I see, well that day had to have been traumatic for him, it may be best to get him into counseling," Masaru frowned.
"I don't think that'll be enough, he got hurt that day and it was a head injury. It had to have been a really deep gash for it to leave that kind of scar, what if he has brain damage and it's permanent...?"
"That's very concerning, tomorrow you should voice your concerns, no one knows him better than you. They'll take concerns seriously, if you say it's something they should worry about I'm confident they'll listen," Masaru smiled a little.
Katsuki nodded, "You're right, thanks,"
"Did- did he say what happened back then?" Mitsuki finally spoke up.
That was the question he had been dreading, "Yes, he was asked..."
Masaru grabbed Mitsuki's hand, "It's ok we want to know, knowing will help all of us,"
Katsuki sat down, "I'm sorry again Ma, it wasn't your fault and I shouldn't have blamed you for it back then. After we left, the families of those boys turned on him, I wasn't around to deal with the consequences of what I did so they took that out on him. He said they'd started to harm him physically and that he ended up being homeschooled.
That didn't stop though and it got so bad they moved because they were worried for his safety. It was ok for a while but then one of those boys got worse, he needed a new kidney. They couldn't move too far, they had been in the process of filing lawsuits against them and used up their savings.
Things had been good for a year but when they finally left the house they got recognized that same day. It didn't take long for their new house to get found and the harrassment started up again. But it was worse this time because one of those boys was in critical condition.
They demanded Deku's kidney knowing that would kill him, they told him to die for their kid because his life was more important," Katsuki squeezed his fist.
Mitsuki and Masaru moved to the other couch to sit on either side of him, "We can take a moment,"
"No it's ok," Katsuki took a shakey breath "Anyway they got impatient and on that day they all went their to take Deku. Auntie and Uncle called the police after they failed talk it out, the families had gotten violent. They started trying to break in and you know Deku, he wanted to give his self over so they didn't get hurt.
Then someone threw a stone through the window and that's how he got the head injury. After that he said Auntie and Uncle got angry so I'm assuming that's when they blacked out. You know what happened after that but the news reports lied about what happened after,"
"What do you mean?" Mitsuki asked.
"Deku said his parents had already calmed down when the heroes showed up. He said they tried to get him help but got attacked immediately so Auntie had to escape with him. He saw Uncle get killed...then when Auntie couldn't go any further she hid him behind some trash in an Alleyway. H-He heard Aunties screams as she was be—" Katsuki took a moment "she was beat to death,"
"Oh my god," They teared up.
"He must have been so terrified,"
"W-where has he been all this time?" Masaru asked.
Katsuki kept up Izuku's lie, if he's lying then he has a good reason too, Izuku will tell him when he's ready.
"He said a masked person found him bleeding out in that alley several days later and they took him home, we think it was an underground pro. He's been with him ever since, until he disappeared about a month ago and left Deku all alone. Deku left not wanting to be alone anymore, that's when I found him. Principal Nezu said that because Deku appears younger than he is and needs extra care he'll probably end up in the system if no one takes him in," Katsuki told them.
"Where is he now?"
"He wanted to come home with me but I told him Ma probably wouldn't be ok with that so he's staying with Principal Nezu for the time being. I wanted to talk to you about him before doing anything,"
"You want him to be here don't you?" Masaru asked.
"Of course I do, it took everything in me to come home without him, even right now I'm tempted to go back for him," Katsuki sighed "But I don't want to bring him here if you aren't ok with it,"
"I have no issue with having Izuku here," Masaru turned to his wife "Honey?"
Mitsuki took a moment, "Izuku isn't in a good situation and I'd love to help him out of it however..."
Katsuki felt his heart drop, "Ma?"
"You're finally doing good Katsuki, you finally got over what happened all those years ago. I feel like Izuku being back in your life will undo all your progress and growth," Mitsuki spoke.
"Mom-"
"If I had things my way I wouldn't allow you around him at all but I can't control what UA decides regarding him. But I can control everything else regarding you, Izuku isn't allowed in this house and I don't want you spending time with him after school," Mitsuki told him.
"Mom you can't be serious," Katsuki said in disbelief.
"I'm not arguing with you Katsuki, my decision is final,"
Katsuki stood up without a word and headed upstairs, slamming his door behind himself angrily making Mitsuki shake her head.
"Honey-"
"I'm not changing my mind Masaru,"
Masaru looked at her, "All your doing is pushing him away again, you saw what losing Izuku the first time did to him,"
"Exactly, he loses all common sense and rationality whenever Izuku is involved, this is for his own good,"
"No, you lose all common sense and rationality when Izuku is involved, look at what Katsuki did today. He told Izuku he couldn't come here out of concern for you and he sat us down and talked to us about it. He did that because despite how desperately he wants Izuku with him he cares more about how it could affect you. And look what you did, Katsuki is not a child anymore and this shows how much he's improved.
Izuku is not going to be the one to set him back you are and I am not going to let you break him down again. I stood by you the last time you did this and like I told you your decisions broke him and cost you your eye. And since you don't seem to remember let me remind you, it was Izuku who talked Katsuki down when he tried to run away. It was Izuku who explained to Katsuki why you felt he needed to leave.
And it was Izuku who kept Katsuki from hating and resenting you after the move. Do you know what Katsuki went through after what happened and how much he hates himself for hurting you? Do you know how many nights I had to hold him as he cried himself to sleep or how many times he cried so hard he'd throw up?
Do you know how much guilt and regret and pain he has suffered with? Do you know how many years it took for him to forgive himself and genuinely smile again after that night? No, you don't because after what happened you told him not to blame himself for what happened because it was Izuku's fault. Every time he had a hard time instead of helping him you tore him down saying if he just listened to you none of these things would have happened.
And when his mental health got to be too much for you you left saying he was wearing you out and when you came back you just ignored him when he'd cry or had panic attacks or any type of vulnerable moment. For seven long years, I was the one who took care of him not you, I took him to every therapy session, and I gave him the love he kept begging you for.
You did that to our son and you are the reason he isn't the confident, tenacious, ambitious, and driven boy he once was. I will not let you do that to him again, either you go get the help you need or leave and don't bother coming back," Masaru finally spoke up, getting everything off his chest.
He stood and walked away to go check on Katsuki, leaving Mitsuki to take in everything he just said.
Chapter 12: Act 12
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku followed the creature into his high-rise apartment and looked around in shock at what he saw.
Nezu chuckled, "What's with that look?"
"I'm surprised," Izuku turned around.
"About?" Nezu said amused.
"I thought you'd live in a tree or something," Izuku looked down at him "No offense,"
Nezu laughed, "You thought I lived in a tree but you still seemed excited to come home with me,"
"I thought it'd be fun to be a tree person like in Tarzan, I had it all planned out," Izuku grinned.
"Sorry to disappoint,"
"Nah this is fine too, I've never lived anywhere this nice before,"
"Well feel free to look around, the second door on the right is a spare bedroom. It's yours now so do whatever you'd like with it, I'll order us dinner. Anything you would like in particular?" Nezu asked.
"Umm, Pizza!"
"Pizza it is,"
Izuku looked around the large apartment taking it all in, it looked like it was modified to accommodate someone of Nezu's stature. Izuku made his way to the large lounge window and looked out in awe at the city below. When they become gods Izuku wants a home just like this, the manor and bar are ok but Izuku likes looking down on people. After a few more minutes of that Izuku went to check out his new room.
It was really bright, with white walls, white bedding, grey curtains, and white, grey, and clear decor. It was nothing like Izuku's rooms back home, both were adorned with only black, red, and silver. Izuku loves dark colors, especially red because it was the same color as his Kacchan and Tomu-nii's eyes.
That made Izuku pout, he had to leave his villain journal at home, he wanted to add the new rule he just thought up. He made his way out of the room and looked around for Nezu.
"Midoriya?"
"Oh! There you are, I have to pee," Izuku frowned.
"Ah I'm sorry, the bathroom is at the end of the hall," Nezu pointed.
"Thank you!"
Izuku made his way down the hall and entered the bathroom, locking the door behind himself. He pulled out his secret phone and went to the messaging app.
Tomu-nii!!!!
My Onii-san😁😁: What's wrong? What happened? Do I need to attack UA??
No not yet dumb dumb
I need a favor
My Onii-san😁😁: Sure what do u need?
Can you add a new rule to my villain journal?
I don't wanna forget
My Onii-san😁😁: Ok what?
89. No ones allowed to have red eyes
My Onii-san😁😁: But I have red eyes??
Exactly
Only you and kacchan can have red eyes😤
My Onii-san😁😁: Lol alright
Everything going ok? Nothing went wrong?
Um I tried to kill All might when I first saw him
But I held back and now the heroes here sympathize with me hehe
My Onii-san😁😁: Good Job
I knew you’d do well
Oh I gotta go now
Bye Nii-san love you!!
My Onii-san😁😁: Love you too
Be safe
Izuku finished in the bathroom and made his way out to see Nezu standing in front of his fridge with a notepad.
Izuku sat at the island, "Whatcha doin'?"
"I'm hardly home so my kitchen is rather empty, I'll have to go grocery shopping tomorrow after work. Is there any foods you dislike or can't eat?" Nezu asked.
"Um peas and beans and carrots, they're gross,"
Nezu chuckled, "What about things you like?"
"Fruit and chocolate,"
"Noted,"
"Nezzy are you good at cooking?" Izuku asked.
Nezu smiled at the nickname, "I can make a few simple things but I'm not too great,"
Nezu, now done, gave Izuku his full attention.
"Me neither, can we learn how to cook together? It won't be fun if I do it by myself,"
Nezu smiled, "Of course, we can, that sounds like a great idea,"
"Yay!"
"Ah, I haven't shown you how to use the TV, it's a smart TV so it's perfect for you until your spelling and writing improves," Nezu grabbed the remote and turned the TV on "It's voice-activated so you just need to call out the ai's name and give it a command. Tammie open up Fetfix,"
Izuku watched in awe as the TV responded to him and pulled up Fetfix as requested, "You can watch anything on here, is there something you want to watch?"
"Um, the only shows I remember are the All Might ones I used to watch, I usually watch Metube," Izuku told him.
"Hm, a lot of my students have been watching this show as of late, maybe you'll enjoy it too. Tammie play Lost in the Abyss,"
"Playing Lost in the Abyss," the TV responded.
(Idk if this is an actual show or not lol)
"Woah," Izuku said as the logo burst into bright colors.
"I know you're probably upset you couldn't go home with Bakugo earlier. You may not be here long if things go well with his parents so don't worry. I'll see if I can help somehow,"
Izuku kept his eyes on the TV, "That's ok, I don't want to go where I'm not welcomed. I don't like feeling unwanted and I like it here,"
Nezu patted his back, "I'm glad to hear that, my home has always felt a bit lonely and I enjoy your company,"
"You don't have a family or anyone else?"
"No, I don't, I was experimented on for many years and I don't remember anything before that. So I'm an orphan and because I'm the only of my kind I can't make a family of my own. Even if I do have family out there it wouldn't matter, we can't communicate or anything," Nezu explained.
"I'm an orphan too but it's not so bad, people aren't very trustworthy anyway. Oh I know we can be a family now so you're not lonely ok," Izuku smiled.
Nezu gave him a soft smile, "I'd love that,"
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
Izuku excitedly bounced on his feet as Nezu unlocked the school door to let them all in. He rarely goes home as he prefers working late into the night and sleeping in his office so he arrived at the same time as everyone else today. Once the doors opened they all went inside and Izuku ran in, beating them to the teacher's lounge and waiting impatiently.
"What's got you so hyper today?" Aizawa asked.
"It's my first day at UA, I always wanted to go here," Izuku smiled widely.
Nezu smiled, "His excitement is refreshing,"
The trio went to Nezu's office to discuss what Izuku's schedule will be for the time being. First, he'll start off mainly learning, reading, and writing from Nezu. He'll only sit in on Aizawa's class periods then he'll slowly transition into joining other periods to get used to the other teachers. He won't join any of Yagi's classes until Izuku himself says he's ready. Someone knocked on the door and it was revealed to be Nemuri with a few bags in hand.
She smiled at Izuku, "Hi I don't think we've met yet, I'm Midnight, a pro hero and teacher here. You can call me Nemuri if you'd like though, what should I call you,"
Izuku moved closer to Aizawa so he was behind the man, "Midoriya," he eyed her warily.
She just smiled softly, "Alright then Midoriya, I went and bought you some clothes since you don't have any. Your uniform won't be ready until this evening so why don't you get changed into these for now? I'll help you,"
Izuku looked at her then up at Aizawa, "Can you help me instead please?" he quietly asked.
"Sure,"
He took the bag from Nemuri who didn't seem offended and led Izuku out and towards one of the staff bathrooms. As Aizawa helped Izuku change into the new clothes he noticed scars all over his chest, back, and abdomen. They looked like old cuts that were very deep and precise, like someone tried to dissect him.
"What...," Aizawa felt like he shouldn't ask.
"A girl did this to me," Izuku spoke up "I trusted her, I thought she loved me but her love was dangerous and wrong. Her love almost killed me, it was scary...I don't like girls anymore, they make me uncomfortable. I don't like being touched by them either, it makes me feel sick and itchy, promise you won't let them close to me," he said quietly, not looking up once.
"I promise I won't let anyone you're uncomfortable with near you without your permission, I'll make sure everyone knows that," Aizawa told him.
"Thank you,"
Aizawa crouched down, "Would it be alright if I hugged you?"
Izuku nodded and let the man hug him, hesitating for a moment then hugging him back, getting himself together. He can't let his weakness ruin the plan so he needed to bury the bad thoughts and his emotions.
If they find out he's struggling even just a little they'll bring him home immediately because they worry about him too much. He was happy they cared about him so much but he'll never harden his emotions if they're too protective to let him hurt a little. They finished up in the bathroom and headed back to Nezu's office to see Katsuki and Masaru there.
"Kacchan's here!" Izuku said excitedly.
Katsuki snorted, "Hey nerd,"
"Good to see you're still so bright," Masaru smiled.
Izuku looked around Katsuki and gasped, "Uncle!"
Izuku practically jumped on the man, he is the closest father figure he has and he'd be lying if he said he didn't miss him. He remembers the man sneaking Katsuki his phone every night after Mitsuki went to sleep so they could talk. He'd always been kind and loving to him and most importantly he didn't want him and Katsuki apart.
Izuku tightly hugged the man's neck as he held him, "I missed you,"
"I missed you too, I'm so glad you're ok," Masaru told him.
"I'm strong," Izuku grinned "I even have a quirk now,"
"Really now? I knew the gods weren't so cruel,"
"It's a fire one just like daddies,"
"Wow, I don't remember you being this excited when you saw me," Katsuki crossed his arms.
"You gotta put me down now, Kacchans getting jealous," Izuku whispered.
Masaru chuckled and sat Izuku on his feet, the male going over to Katsuki and patting his back, assuring him he was still Izuku's favorite.
"Why don't you two go have breakfast before school starts?" Nezu suggested.
"Ok,"
Izuku took Katsuki's hand as he led the way to the cafeteria where lunch rush has started cooking already.
"I think you'll like my friends," Katsuki told him.
"As long as they're not girls,"
"What do you have against girls?" Katsuki asked.
Izuku's face went blank and his voice hardened, "THEY DISGUST ME, I hate them,"
"Alright, I won't let 'em around you," Katsuki promised.
Izuku looked up at him, "Kacchan,"
Katsuki looked down, "Yeah?"
"I know it's been a while but you still love me right?" Izuku asked.
His eyes flashed pink, "Of course I do, I'll never stop loving you, did you think I didn't?"
Izuku smiled softly and shook his head, "Just making sure, it'd hurt a lot if you didn't so I'm glad you do. Don't ever leave me behind again, I need you," He squeezed Katsuki's hand.
"I'm not going anywhere without you, no one is separating us again, not my mom, not the pros, no one. I finally got you back and I'll kill anyone who tries to take you from me again, that's a promise," Katsuki meant every word as his expression darkened.
Izuku smiled at that, one thing for sure is that his Kacchan loves him more than anyone else. His Kacchan would never hurt or betray him, his Kacchan is perfect.
His love is perfect. It's pure, it's unconditional, it's infinite, and it's only for him. Kacchan will never leave him, he's strong, he won't have to die for him, he'll protect him.
Izuku squeezed his hand, "You can't die..." he mumbled to himself.
Katsuki heard, "I won't,"
Chapter 13: Act 13
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Aizawa yawns and enters the classroom since there is still time before school starts and students arrive.
"Midoriya where are you?"
Izuku popped out from beneath his podium, "Here! Look I found a sleeping bag, I think someone's been sleeping in here,"
"Yeah me, that's mine,"
Izuku looked from him to the sleeping bag, "Mister are you homeless? Does Nezzy know you're living in here?" he tilted his head.
"You brat," Aizawa narrowed his eyes.
Izuku just giggled, knowing full well what he was doing, and crawled out, dusting himself off.
"Where did Bakugo go?"
"He's taking a shit," Izuku gave back his sleeping bag.
"Is that what he said?" Aizawa raised a brow.
"No, he said he was going to the bathroom but I bet he's taking a shit," Izuku snickered.
Aizawa shook his head, "I can already feel myself aging another ten years,"
"You're an old man huh? It's ok we all get old eventually, you don't look that bad yet,"
"I am so tempted to put you in timeout," Aizawa pinched his forehead.
"Don't be mean!"
Katsuki returned and Aizawa turned, "I blame you,"
"Huh? The hell did I do?"
"I don't know but whatever it is you did it,"
"Kacchan your sensei is a hobo, he sleeps here," Izuku whispered.
"I know," Katsuki whispered back "We should raise money to get him a house,"
Izuku nodded and went over to where Aizawa sat, reaching up to pat his head, "It's ok you'll have a home soon,"
"I'm not homeless!"
"Don't be embarrassed, being homeless is kind of fun cause you get to play all day," Izuku grinned.
Aizawa sighed, "I'm a pro hero, I assure you I make enough to have a home,"
"Oh yeah,"
Izuku then took it upon himself to sit in the man's lap, not bothering to ask first, "Um what??"
Izuku shushed him, "It's ok we're friends now and I want to be the teacher today, Kacchan sit down,"
"Yes sir," Katsuki played along.
"Ok, first question! Who is the strongest Japanese God?"
Katsuki thought for a second, "Amaterasu?"
"Wrong!"
"What-"
The bell signaling the start of the school day rang out, interrupting their little game.
"Oh school time," Izuku turned around "Zawa where do I sit?"
"Behind Katsuki,"
"Yay,"
Izuku went to sit behind Katsuki who turned around in his seat to talk to him some more.
"Kacchan when can we have a sleepover?" Izuku asked.
"Maybe this weekend? We'll have to ask Principal Nezu,"
"His house is so cool, I can look down on everything from up there," Izuku giggled.
"Yeah? Is that why you're so hyper today?" Katsuki asked.
"I'm excited because I get to go to school with my Kacchan,"
"Am I your property now?"
"Yes, Kacchan is my Kacchan," Izuku said seriously.
"Wow, and here I thought I was a person," Katsuki said teasingly.
"You are, you're my person," Izuku said in a duh tone.
"I am a human with free will,"
Izuku gave him a blank look, "You can be whatever you want to be Kacchan, just remember that you belong to me no matter what you are,"
"Noted,"
"I don't like sharing either," Izuku pouted.
"Good because I don't like being shared," Katsuki smirked.
"Can you not flirt while I'm sleeping?" Aizawa spoke from beneath the podium.
Izuku got up, made his way over to the podium, and crouched behind it, he giggled as he poked the grumbling man.
"Are you jealous 'cause you're single? I can set you up, I think I'm a good matchmaker," Izuku said proudly.
"And who could you possibly set me up with?" Aizawa humored him.
"Umm," Izuku ignored the people entering the room "What are your preferences? What do you like?"
"Coffee, cats, and sleeping,"
Izuku narrowed his eyes and poked his nose, "I meant in a person,"
"Someone not annoying,"
"Hmm I can work with that," Izuku nodded.
Aizawa snorted, "Good luck,"
"In return, I want a favor,"
"What favor?"
"Can I keep being teacher for homeroom?"
Aizawa yawned, "Sure go crazy,"
"Yes!"
"Deku come here!" Katsuki called out.
Izuku popped out from behind the podium, "Coming!"
"Bye, hobo Zawa sleep tight," Izuku patted him and got up.
He made his way back over to Katsuki, "Kacchan Zawa Zawa said I'm the teacher for today so we have a free period," Izuku grinned.
"Good job Nerd, these are the friends I was talking about," Katsuki pointed them out "Tape face, dunce face, and shitty hair,"
"Those names suck, you're getting rusty," Izuku shook his head and Katsuki pinched his side "Ouch!"
"Who's this? A kid?" Sero asked.
"No this is Deku, my childhood friend, he's our age," Katsuki told them.
"Oh hey, Deku-"
"Midoriya, only Kacchan can call me that,"
"Sure thing, that's Kaminari, Sero, and I'm Kirishima, Bakugo's best friend," The Red Head smiled.
Izuku gave him a blank look, "No you aren't, I am,"
"Don't go claiming to be my best friend, I didn't agree to that," Katsuki shut Kirishima down.
"Damn dude," Denki snorted.
"Aw man, I thought we got closer," Kirishima took it lightly.
"So Midoriya, are you a new student?" Sero asked.
"For now I guess," Izuku shrugged.
"What you gonna leave me?" Katsuki raised a brow.
"I don't wanna be a hero but I'll be bored while you're at school so I guess I'll stay," Izuku sighed.
"How noble,"
"How long have you two known each other?" Kirishima asked.
"Forever, we grew up like one big family," Katsuki answered.
Izuku sat on Katsuki's desk, "What kinda quirks do you have? Are they cool?"
"Yeah, I can emit electricity," Denki grinned.
"Ooo so you're like a big tazer?" Izuku asked.
"Pretty much yeah,"
"I just shoot tape from my elbows," Sero showed his arms.
"That's...convenient?"
Sero held his chest, "That kinda hurt my pride a little,"
"I can harden any part of my body,"
Izuku snickered at that and Katsuki pinched him again, "Don't be nasty,"
"Ow! I'm not!" Izuku glared.
Others started to gravitate over and Katsuki was quick to put a stop to it, "Ten feet, he doesn't like people crowding him,"
"Damn it,"
"But he's so adorable,"
Izuku made a face at that, "I forgot how annoying people are,"
"I know right," Katsuki sighed.
"I can see it now, you two are definitely best friends," Sero chuckled.
"Now that I think about it you aren't wearing a uniform so your situation must be special right?" Eijiro asked.
"I guess so, yeah,"
"I'll tell you about everyone in the class, they're cool people," Denki grinned.
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
Izuku, trying to recall the place he saw not too long ago, decided to draw it since trying to remember its name was annoying. Katsuki asked if there was somewhere he really wanted to go and for the life of him he couldn't recall the name of it. After finishing up the drawing he leaned back so that the males could get a good look.
"This place," Izuku said.
"Sorry, but I have no idea what that's supposed to be," Denki apologized.
"Is it...a department store?" Sero asked.
"What? No how'd you get that?" Izuku pouted.
"Sorry man," He laughed a bit.
Izuku just sighed, "Can you really not tell?" he held it up with a frown.
"Don't worry dude, it's not that bad, you'll get better one day if you keep practicing," Eijiro told him.
Izuku gave him a dry look, "You're ugly, your opinion doesn't matter," he mumbled.
Katsuki pinched him for that, "Ow! Stop pinching me!"
Katsuki just leaned over his shoulder for a better look, "That's the new super mall with the amusement park rides inside right?"
"Yeah! I knew Kacchan would get it," Izuku grinned "I wanna go there,"
"We can probably go this weekend if you really want to," Katsuki shrugged.
"Yeah let's go," Izuku said excitedly.
The door opened and Nezu came in, "Nezzy you came to get me," Izuku smiled and went over.
"I did,"
Katsuki got up and went over, "I'll come with you, I finished my paper for the next class yesterday,"
"Alright," Nezu smiled.
"Bye Zawa, bye other two," Izuku waved and they left.
"Damn, that kinda hurt," Denki held his chest.
"At least you got a bye, I think he hates me," Eijiro said, feeling dejected.
"Well, you did try to steal his best friend, now you're a rival," Sero snorted.
"Awe man,"
❜ ─ Scene 3 ─ ❛
"You said you wanted to work on your penmanship most right?" Nezu asked.
"Yeah, sometimes I can't even read what I write," Izuku sighed.
"Let's start with that then,"
"Wait," Katsuki interrupted "You used to have really pretty handwriting though, you could draw really well too but earlier... Are you ok?" Katsuki asked.
Izuku looked down, "Mm, after I hurt my head...my hands don't do what I want anymore. Sometimes it's fine but a lot of the time I struggle to even hold a pen. At first, I thought it was some kind of nerve damage but that makes no sense. The only explanation is that the damage to my brain has affected my cognitive abilities. I can get help for that now so I want to focus on that first and foremost,"
"Deku..." Katsuki frowned more.
"It's not as bad as it sounds, I've been living with it for years now so I've learned how to function with it. It's mostly just annoying and frustrating so if I can fix it I want to," Izuku reassured him.
Katsuki could see the old Izuku peaking through and that made him sadder for some reason, "Maybe you should start seeing a cognitive function therapist for that,"
"Actually I've had something else in mind, recently there was a case where a woman suffered greatly in a car accident as a child. She sustained severe brain damage that left her in an almost vegetative state. Recently the family brought someone from Rome as a last-ditch effort before pulling the plug," Nezu paused.
"She recently just ran a marathon and won, she was completely healed. I have my skepticism however your injury is much less severe than hers, if they healed her surely they can help you. If that's what you want I can do my best to bring that person here to help you,"
"No way, is that true?"
"Really? Can you really do that?" Izuku said surprised.
Nezu smiled, "I have many connections I can make use of,"
Izuku hugged him, "You're so nice, thank you,"
Nezu patted his head, "You are very welcome, how about we just do some reading today,"
"Ok!"
Chapter 14: Act 14
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku peeked into the classroom and grinned as he saw Aizawa asleep on the floor and not teaching. He walked into the class, being extra quiet, and jumped on the man earning an oof as his eyes opened.
"Hobo Zawa I'm back!"
"Yay," Aizawa said dryly.
Izuku glared and sat up on him, smooshing his face together, "Be happy to see me,"
"I'm so happy I can't even show it,"
"Hmmmm," Izuku smooshed him more.
Izuku was suddenly picked up by his armpits and tilted his head back to see Katsuki, "Hi Kacchan,"
"How could you say hi to him first? I feel neglected," Katsuki walked over to his desk and sat Izuku on it.
"My Kacchans so needy,"
"I am," Katsuki admitted.
Izuku reached into his bag and pulled something out, "Nezzy gave me chocolate, want some?"
"You know I do,"
Izuku put some in Katsuki's mouth and then ate some himself.
"Can I get some?" Denki asked with pleading eyes.
"Here," Izuku held some out.
"Are you feeding me too?" Denki snickered.
"I will kill you," Katsuki narrowed his eyes.
"I'm playing!" Denki took the chocolate from Izuku.
Izuku then gave some to Sero before eating more himself and ignoring Eijiro who kept looking at him. He sighed in defeat and Sero patted his back as Denki just laughed at his friend's suffering.
"Hey Midoriya why don't we get to know each other?" Eijiro asked.
Izuku narrowed his eyes, "Why would I get to know you?"
"I think if we know more about each other we'll become friends,"
"I don't wanna be your friend though?"
"But I wanna be friends with you," Eijiro smiled.
"Why?"
"Cause I think you're cool and Bakubro said you're strong, I like strong people," Eijiro told him.
Izuku stared at him for a minute before turning to Katsuki, "Eh give him a chance, you know I wouldn't hang out with just anyone. If I thought you wouldn't like him I wouldn't have introduced him,"
"Fine, Kacchan has descent judgment so I'll trust him,"
"Wow, it's like that huh?" Katsuki shook his head.
"Yes," Izuku turned back to Eijiro "So?"
"Well, what's you're favorite thing to do? I like training,"
"Video Games,"
"Really? What kind of games do you like?" Denki asked excitedly.
"Horror ones and ones where I get to be a criminal, like GRA IV [great rob automobile]," Izuku thought about it.
"I knew there was a reason I liked you so much,"
Someone approached them, "Guys~ I feel left out, we haven't hung out all day. I wanna talk to your mystery friend too,"
"I told you he'd be uncomfortable around you, when he says it's ok then I'll think about it," Katsuki told her.
"Okayyyy," Mina sighed.
"Aw, do you really not wanna talk to us? Come on we're really nice, we just think you're so adorable~,"
The brunette that trailed behind her tried to get closer as she spoke to Izuku who gave her a dangerous look. Katsuki put himself between them, his hands sparked as a warning making her back up with a sigh.
"You won't even let me talk to him, you're so overprotective,"
"If I tell you something listen, what part of he's uncomfortable don't you get? Try that shit again and see what happens, don't even look at him even if he looks at you first," Katsuki eyed her.
She glared at him for that, "I got it, you don't need to threaten me," she raised her hands.
"Yes, I do cause clearly you don't,"
Mina and Momo, who came over in case things escalated, dragged Ochaco away and apologized.
"Hey, you ok?" Sero asked.
"I'm annoyed, I can tell she's gonna be a problem," Izuku rolled his eyes.
"She doesn't know what boundaries are, she's always been too pushy 'cause she can't accept that some people just don't like her," Eijiro sighed.
"She better learn 'cause if he attacks her I'm not stopping him," Katsuki scowled.
"You wouldn't do that, would you?"
"I would," Izuku dryly.
"Don't worry about it, as long as we're around we won't let anyone get close," Sero assured him.
"Alright,"
"How about meeting some of the other guys? Don't worry they're cool," Eijiro said.
"There's Kota, he's really quiet and a sweetheart, he literally wouldn't hurt a fly. Then there's Sato who makes the best desserts, he brought us cookies yesterday. You probably won't get along with Iida, he likes to nag a lot, and Bakugo doesn't get along with him. Um oh and there's Shoji and Tokoyami who are kinda the loner types but they're good guys," Denki told him.
"Obviously there are a couple of others but these four are probably the ones you'll get along with the most," Sero smiled.
"Ummm," Izuku's eyes landed on someone "I wanna talk to him, I like pretty people,"
"Really?" Katsuki looked down at him.
"Yup," Izuku hopped off the desk.
He made his way over to a group of people who started to get quiet as Izuku came over to them.
Izuku went up to the boy he had his eye on and smiled, "Hi I'm Izuku, you're my friend now 'Kay?"
He smiled back, "Sure, I'm Aoyama,"
"Yay come on, I'll give him back later, promise," Izuku told them pulling Aoyama up.
Momo laughed a little, "Alright, he's all yours,"
Izuku dragged Aoyama back over and the group just laughed at Izuku's antics. The day continued on and Izuku went back and forth between 1-a and Nezu. Soon lunch finally came and Izuku left since he promised to have lunch with Nezu.
Katsuki obviously followed him, carrying their trays as Izuku excitedly walked through the teacher's lounge. They reached Nezu's office and Izuku sat crisscross on the couch as the creature smiled and finished up his work to eat with them.
"Nezzy," Izuku called.
"Yes?"
"Is it ok to go shopping with Aoyama? You said you'd need to stay later today so I thought I'd get some more things I need. He said he knows all the best stores, I promise to be back before it's time to go," Izuku told him.
"Why not go with me? Why him?" Katsuki asked.
"You have training today Kacchan," Izuku said in a duh tone.
"I can skip," Katsuki pouted.
"How are you gonna be number one if you skip training Kacchan? I'm disappointed in you," Izuku shook his head.
Katsuki pinched him, "Don't ever say that,"
Izuku popped his hand, "Stop pinching! That hurts," He huffed with a glare.
Nezu chuckled, "Of course you can, you're old enough plus I trust that you are responsible and won't get into any trouble,"
Izuku excitedly jumped up and hugged the rodent, "Thank you Nezzy, I haven't been shopping in forever it's gonna be so fun!"
"I hope you'll enjoy yourself, make sure you come to see me before leaving ok? You need spending money don't you?" Nezu smiled.
"Uh huh, uh huh," Izuku nodded.
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
"Are you ready? My mom's going to drop us off and pick us up," Aoyama smiled.
"Yup, I'm ready, Nezzy gave me his card,"
They walked to the front of the school arm in arm, Izuku's excitement making it hard not to feel happy as well.
"Can I ask you something personal?" Aoyama looked down at him.
"Mhm,"
"Why are you with Principal Nezu? I can't imagine him being a parent or guardian,"
"Oh, it's cause I don't have parents and I didn't want to get put in the system 'cause I probably couldn't be with Kacchan," Izuku told him.
"You don't have any other family?" Aoyama frowned.
"Nope I'm an orphan but it's ok 'cause I like Nezzy," Izuku smiled.
"I'm sorry for asking, It was rude,"
"It's ok I don't mind,"
"There's my mom," Aoyama pointed out.
They got in the car and after Izuku got to know Aoyama's mom she drove them to the shopping plaza. After discussing when and where to meet she gave Aoyama a little extra pocket money and left. As the duo entered the main area Izuku looked around then back to him.
"Let's go to the bathroom first," He pointed.
"Alright,"
They made their way into the bathroom where Aoyama confusedly watched Izuku scan the entire bathroom and check every stall before locking the door.
"Um...what are you doing?" Aoyama asked.
"Sorry, I needed to talk to you in private where no one can hear or see us. I would've done this earlier but Nezzy has mics and cameras everywhere," Izuku told him.
"What's this all about?" Aoyama said wearily.
"We're allies, our job is the same," Aoyama flinched "So we should work together,"
"What...what are you talking about?"
"It's ok you just have to keep watching like you've been doing, I'll focus on all might,"
"W-wait! Are...are they making you spy on 1-a too?" Aoyama asked.
"Hm?" Izuku smiled "No I'm here willingly, actually I begged them to let me do this. They were all against it," he sighed.
"Why would you willingly be a traitor? Don't you feel any guilt for betraying and lying to everyone? To Bakugo?" Aoyama asked in horror.
Izuku tilted his head, "I'm not betraying anyone though? Betrayal implies that I was on their side at one point which was never the case. And Kacchan will understand once I tell him, he will always take my side so it's ok. I'm not lying to him,"
"Why...? Why would you want to hurt people?" Aoyama asked quietly.
"I did not and will not harm anyone that doesn't deserve it, I'm only after the people that hurt me. All I want is revenge and retribution for those who have wronged me. All Might needs to die,"
"But why? What did he ever do to you?"
"He killed my dad,"
"What...?" Aoyama's eyes widened.
"The massacre seven years ago, that was my parents and I,"
"You..."
"All Might killed my father, a civilian, intentionally and right in front of me. The heroes who were with him beat my mother, another civilian, to death as I bled out in an alley listening to her screams. What crime did they commit? Protecting me, their quirkless child, from adults who wanted to kill me because my life wasn't important. From Adults who harmed me and left me with this massive scar and brain damage.
My parents did what they had to defend themselves and protect me because the heroes and authorities did nothing when they asked for help. My parents did not deserve what happened to them and I will make sure everyone involved atons for their sins. My dad begged them to help me and they attacked him, he pleaded with All Might saying his child was hurt.
My dad used his quirk to avoid his attacks so All Might killed him without hesitation. He struck my father, a civilian who could hardly light a candle with his quirk twenty minutes prior, with his full strength. Tell me is that someone who deserves to be hailed as the symbol of hope?"
"I-I...I don't- He really did something so monstrous?"
Izuku looked down, "I just want them to pay for taking my mom and dad away from me. I want them to feel everything that I felt that day and continue to feel every day. It's not fair that they get to be praised as heroes while my parents rot in the ground and I suffer with endless pain. So please, help me pay back everything tenfold," Izuku grabbed his hands.
"I-I'm sorry I c-can't I..." Aoyama mumbled tearily.
Izuku's heart sank as he felt his hope slowly dissipate, he just gave the boy a weak smile.
"It's ok I understand, you're only doing this to protect your parents not because you want to. If you get caught working with us they might do the same to your mom and dad. If I was in your position I wouldn't take that risk either so don't feel bad.
I'm sorry for asking you to do something like this and put them in danger. I let my emotions and desperation get the best of me, I never intended to pressure you like this. I'll talk to Papa and ask him to free you and your family so you're no longer in danger," Izuku said after calming down.
"You...you can get him to do that?" Aoyama looked at him.
"Mhm, I just asked that you never tell anyone about any of this ok? The league is my family, I'm helping you protect yours so help me protect mine,"
"Ok, I won't say anything I promise,"
Izuku smiled, "Good, now let's go shopping so we can head back,"
Chapter 15: Act 15
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Izuku got up and headed to the living room where Nezu sat, looking at various documents and signing papers. Izuku sat beside him on the couch sitting crisscross and then waiting for the man to finish and give him attention. Nezu signed a paper and then sat it in a pile with a couple of others before turning to Izuku.
"Yes Midoriya, what can I do for you?" Nezu smiled.
Izuku held out a phone, "Can you help me? I'm trying to use my new phone but I can't call Kacchan," he huffed.
Nezu chuckled, "That's because you need his phone number first, unfortunately, I do not know it. You'll have to ask him for it at school tomorrow,"
"Oh," Izuku thought "Then who's number do you know?"
"My staff, my colleagues, and my bosses," Nezu told him.
"Then can you give me Zawa's number?" Izuku snickered.
"Of course but don't you go harassing him or he'll change it," Nezu laughed.
He was glad Izuku seemed to get along with the man so well, he did secretly have a soft spot for children. He and Izuku will surely get along well, typically a person with Izuku's personality would annoy the man. However, Izuku is very observant and perceptive, he reads people's moods then acts accordingly.
"Speaking of which he let me know you feel uncomfortable around females, I let my staff know so don't worry about that,"
Izuku smiled, "Thank you! And when are you gonna call me Izuku?" he asked.
"You don't mind if I do?" Nezu asked.
"No, we're family now so you should call me by my name,"
Nezu smiled, "Alright then, I'll call you Izuku from now on,"
"Yay,"
There was some noise outside and Izuku narrowed his eyes, "There are people fighting at our door... should I get rid of them?" he tilted his head.
"No that's alright, I'll go see what's going on," Nezu got up.
Izuku turned around and rested his chin on the back of the couch, watching the door from where he was but not able to see who was outside it. Nezu opened his door to see Aizawa and Yagi arguing in the hall and frowned.
"What is going on? Why are you here?" Nezu asked, slightly pulling the door up behind him.
"I came to bring some things for Midoriya and saw him at your door. I keep telling him to fucking leave but he wants to be stubborn," Aizawa scowled.
"Why are you here Yagi?" Nezu asked.
"To speak with young Midoriya, he has an issue with me correct? I should apologize for what I did to him," Yagi told him.
"Are you stupid? What are you gonna say? Sorry for traumatizing you and making you an orphan, let's be friends," Aizawa scoffed.
"Can I just apologize please?" Yagi sighed.
"No, you cannot," Nezu said firmly "He watched you brutally murder his father, Yagi. I don't want you anywhere near him unless he allows it, he's adjusting well, and seeing you will just undo all that. What you did to him is something you can't even apologize for, if anything that will only upset him more. Go home please," Nezu told him.
Yagi sighed once again, "Alright..."
He left and Nezu opened his door wider letting Aizawa come in with a box, the spears of fire above the door disappeared, and Izuku smiled.
"Zawa it's you!" Izuku got off the couch.
"It's me," He yawned.
"Whatcha got?" Izuku asked.
"It's for you,"
"Me?"
"It's the stuff that was able to be saved from your home. I thought you'd want them," He handed Izuku to box.
Izuku's face fell a little and he took the box from him, walking over and gently sitting the box on the table. Izuku looked through it and saw their old photo albums, his favorite blanket from when he was a child, the little plushies his mom made him.
They couldn't leave home for a while so she spent weeks learning how to crochet just to make those for him. There was even his dad's favorite hat inside along with some pictures they had on the wall. One was cracked, a picture of the two families together, it probably happened during the massive brawl that occurred on that awful night. Izuku sat it back in the box and went over to Aizawa hugging him tightly.
"Thank you," Izuku mumbled.
"You're welcome," He smiled a little and patted Izuku's head.
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
Izuku made his way to the restroom, locked the door, and went into a stall pulling out his phone and texting Shigaraki with the information he just learned.

First year bathroom
Why?
Izuku heard a familiar whoosh sound and exited the stall to see a warp gate, Shigaraki stepped out soon after it appeared.
"Nii-san!" Izuku's eyes widened and he jumped on the man, hugging his neck tightly.
"What about me bun? Can I get a hug too?" Dabi asked walking out next.
Izuku shook his head and buried his face in Shigaraki's neck making him give Dabi a smug look.
"I thought you didn't have favorites?" Dabi raised a brow.
"I lied," Izuku said, still not letting Shigaraki go.
"Wow, you've been gone a week and you've already changed, I'm even hurt a little," Dabi shook his head.
"Sorry," Izuku frowned "I still love you, I just missed Nii-san more,"
"It's fine," Dabi detached Izuku from Shigaraki, much to his annoyance.
Izuku finally gave him his hug then immediately went to Kurogiri who gave him a bear hug, "I missed mamagiri a lot," he snickered.
"I missed you too sprout,"
Kurogiri sat him on his feet and gave him a box of his favorite chocolates making him bounce and hug him again.
"Come, Master would like to see you too," Kurogiri took his hand "He cannot pass through, he will be sensed,"
"Ok~"
Izuku stepped through and was immediately picked up by AFO, Izuku smiled wide and hugged him tightly.
"Papa! I missed you the most!"
AFO grinned, "Did you now?"
Izuku nodded, "Yes,"
"Well, I missed you too, it's a shame you can't stay longer," AFO kissed his forehead "They'll come look for you if you don't go back now,"
"I know~" Izuku whined "I wasn't ready for this mission," He deflated.
AFO chuckled, "You're plenty ready, I know how capable you are so don't worry. You're doing fine," Izuku hugged him again.
Give it your all, the faster you make them love you the faster you can see us without secrecy. Remember that if you start to lose motivation to continue.
Izuku smiled, "I will papa,"
"Time to go,"
"Bye guys, love you!"
"We love you too,"
As soon as Izuku walked through the warp gate it disappeared, Izuku frowned at that. He quickly washed his hands and left the bathroom, smiling at the chocolates.
I'm gonna share with Kacchan
"Deku there you are, what took so long?" Katsuki asked.
Izuku hurried over to him, "I went to get my secret stash! I left my bag in Nezzy's car," he huffed.
"Oh, I woulda gone instead," Katsuki told him.
"It's ok, I had to pee so I'd have to leave anyway,"
"I guess,"
"Why aren't you in class Kacchan? Are you skipping?" Izuku squinted.
Katsuki pinched his nose, "Ow!"
"No, I'm not, I left to get you,"
Izuku rubbed his nose, "Did you ask Zawa?"
"No?"
"Then that's skipping, Kacchan's bad now," Izuku sighed like he was disappointed.
"When have I been good?" Katsuki raised a brow.
"Oh yeah, poor Uncle,"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"That you stress him out," Izuku said in a duh tone, "Kacchan can we have a sleepover?"
"Today?"
"Yeah, I never got to see your new house," Izuku held his hand.
"Sure, Mom's gone until Tuesday anyway," Katsuki shrugged.
"Yay!" Izuku grew excited "Oh yeah! I heard some people in our class are dating. What about you?" He teased.
Katsuki made a face, "Fuck no, what would I date some extra for?"
"Good," Izuku nodded "Kacchan belongs to me, and you promised to be my wife,"
Katsuki snorted, "If anything you're the wife, not me,"
"Nuh-uh, you said I could be the husband remember,"
"That was because you said you would marry someone else if I didn't," Katsuki shook his head.
"Oh yeah,"
"It only makes sense for me to be the husband, the husband protects, takes care of, and spoils the wife. That's my job, not yours," Katsuki said matter-of-factly.
"Yeah that makes sense, darn it, I should have been born bigger," Izuku pouts.
Katsuki pats his head, "Maybe in the next life,"
"I'll definitely be bigger than you,"
Chapter 16: Act 16
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
"Where are we going?" Izuku walked beside Aizawa.
"The class is sparring today," Aizawa answered.
"Can I join?"
"I don't think so, you'll make it uneven,"
Izuku tilted his head, "But there's fourteen boys including me?"
"One of them can't participate today, he's still injured from our last training session,"
"Boo~"
Aizawa raised a brow, "What? Is hanging out with me boring?"
"Yes, you take naps for fun and I'm not tired. You're like an old man," He huffed.
"Wow, and I thought we were getting closer,"
"Can I play in your hair? You have pretty hair," Izuku asked.
Aizawa sighed, "Fine, just don't mess it up,"
"Kay~"
"Alright, different partners today, girls with girls and boys with boys. We're only sparring, losing won't affect your grade so don't go too far, after fifteen minutes switch to a new partner. Start," Aizawa instructed, taking a seat on the bench.
Izuku stood behind him, using his fingers to comb through the man's hair, massaging his scalp and making him sigh, before starting to braid it. A blonde boy with a large tail came over to them and Izuku ignored him, in his own world.
"What should I do sensei?" Ojiro asked.
"You can do some light stretching and exercises just don't strain yourself or your arm," Aizawa told him.
"Alright,"
He walked off and Aizawa took a sip of his coffee, "So," he started.
"That doesn't sound like a good so," Izuku responded.
Aizawa half snorted, "Yeah," he paused "We found him, the one who raised you,"
Izuku stopped, "And?"
"We looked into him, he was a vigilante and unfortunately didn't survive an encounter he had with a villain. The authorities had no idea who he was and no one identified him so he was buried in an unmarked grave," Aizawa revealed.
"Oh..." Izuku went back to braiding "That's good then,"
"That's good?"
"Mhm, that means he didn't abandon me because he wanted to. He had no choice but to leave me behind, as long as I'm not abandoned it's ok," Izuku told him.
"You're not sad?"
"Nope, because he left me I got to be with Kacchan again and I'm never alone now so I'm happy," Izuku told him.
"Alright then,"
Suddenly they both looked up as a presence approached them, Aizawa glanced up and Izuku hugged his neck from behind.
"What are you doing here?" Aizawa sighed.
"I wanted to have a talk with Young Midoriya,"
"There is nothing for us to discuss," Izuku said darkly.
Katsuki noticed Yagi near Izuku and let off an explosion so violent Sero gave up without even trying.
"I want to make things right-"
"Can you bring my mom or dad back?"
"No-"
"Are you willing to give up being a hero?"
"No, I-"
"Will you give up your life?"
"I will n-"
"Then you can't make things right, you killed my Dad because he asked for help. My mom and dad died with everyone celebrating their deaths because you all made them out to be the villains. You killed a scared and weak man, a civilian, who was only begging you to save his son.
You immediately went for the kill despite him clearly being non-hostile. They died pathetic deaths with only a handful of people to remember them and know that they were not bad people.
You will never understand how painful that is because when you die everyone around the world is going to mourn you for years because they praise you like you are some benevolent god, I used to be one of them. Even I almost died because of you, my dad was asking you to save my life and you killed him. My mom tried to get me to someone who could help me but because you all were trying to kill her she had to hide me somewhere.
I was only seven years old, sitting in some alleyway as I bled to death FOR DAYS. If I had been found just an hour later you would be responsible for my death too, so remember that every time you see this scar on my face. You're not a symbol of peace you're a murderer and I hope that one day people will realize that. You only want my forgiveness because you feel guilty and hate the fact that I know who you actually are.
I hate you now and I will continue to hate you even after you're rotting in the ground. I will never forgive you for what you did, you didn't just ruin my life you took it from me," Izuku said coldly.
The man couldn't utter a word to the boy and simply walked away looking utterly broken, inside and out.
Izuku just went back to braiding, "See, I expressed how I felt without getting violent,"
Aizawa couldn't help the small chuckle he let out, "Yeah you did, are you alright?"
"I am, I got it all off my chest and he looked like he was about to start crying. I'm satisfied," Izuku grinned.
Katsuki just sighed, "I told him you didn't want to speak to him anytime soon,"
"I should've known he wasn't going to stop when he showed up at Nezu's," Aizawa grumbled to himself.
"He showed up there?"
"So that's who you were fighting~" Izuku snickered.
"You knew about that? I didn't think Nezu would tell you about it," Aizawa glanced back.
"He didn't, I felt two hostile people at our door then you came in so I knew you were one of the people," He shrugged.
"You can sense a person's presence? Is that another part of your quirk?"
"Nah Deku's always been weird like that," Katsuki snorted.
Izuku glared, "With the way I grew up I couldn't afford not to notice someone around me, especially if they were hostile. I like to think of it as my sixth sense, after I spend more time with you I'll be able to tell you apart in a crowded room even if I'm blind and deaf," he bragged.
"Sounds useful,"
"It is, Kacchan never beat me in hide and seek,"
Katsuki rolled his eyes, "Yeah cause you're a cheater,"
"It's not cheating 'cause I can't turn it off," Izuku snickered.
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
"This house is way bigger than the old one," Izuku looked around.
"You like it?" Katsuki asked.
"Uh huh, it smells just like the old one,"
"I'll never get rid of my sweet apple candles," Masaru called from the kitchen.
"Come on, let's go to my room,"
"Kay~"
Izuku followed happily after the male as Masaru smiled warmly, he was delighted to see the two together again. He hadn't seen Katsuki smile so hard since the last time he spoke to Izuku...the night before the incident. Those boys needed each other and luckily fate has brought them back together, that was all he could hope for.
Izuku got comfortable on Katsuki's bed, "It's so big and soft and it smells like you, I'm jealous~"
Katsuki snorted, "It smells like me? What do I smell like?"
"Mm, you smell like caramel and roasted marshmallows on a cool Autumn night in the mountains after heavy rain," Izuku stared ahead blankly.
Katsuki blinked at him, "That was...specific,"
Izuku looked at him and smiled wide, "I love how you smell,"
"I can tell," Katsuki laid back on the bed.
After a moment of silence, he spoke, "So...how have you been all this time? Honestly,"
Izuku smiled a little, "Um, I was really depressed for a while, it was hard and some days I just cried and wished I had died too. I went through awful things, it was like I was cursed because bad things kept happening to me.
I got hurt a lot and I was always scared I'd get hurt again as soon as I was happy again. Then eventually, I was ok, though I still had days where I'd get a little sad or just struggled to get out of bed. I really missed you though, so much it would physically hurt but I was doing ok. How about you? Where you ok?"
"No," Katsuki admitted "I blamed myself for it, and no matter what anyone says I am the one who caused it. They went after you because of what I did, that's the undeniable truth and I hated myself for it. When we found out Auntie and Uncle had died and that you were gone my world fell apart because...I thought I lost you.
I didn't want to live anymore because if I don't have you then what's the point? I can't live without you Izu, it just hurts so bad and I couldn't handle that pain. Every single day I woke up and remembered you were gone I died a little inside. I was lost and the only thing keeping me from joining you was Dad, I saw how much he was struggling and I couldn't do that to him.
Truthfully speaking that day I found you I had given up...I just couldn't do it anymore. Every single moment of my life has been about you and our future, my life means nothing without you. So I'm glad you're back and I'm glad you're ok," he smiled.
Masaru wiped his eyes and quietly walked away from the door, he would come back later. Izuku sat up and scooted over to Katsuki, pulling his head into his lap and kissing his forehead.
"I'm sorry I took so long to come back, if I knew I would have found my way back to you sooner. I'm glad I came back when I did, I don't know what I'd do if I lost you too. It would probably be unbearable, I can't live without Kacchan either," Izuku smiled down at him.
Katsuki relaxed in his hold, "You think this is how true love feels? This is how they describe it in the books,"
Izuku combed through his hair, "No, how we feel is more than love, I can tell,"
"Oh yeah? How can you tell?" Katsuki grinned.
Izuku smiled, "I'll tell you later, I have a lot to tell you," he scratched Katsuki's scalp "You should grow your hair,"
"Why?"
"I like long hair," Izuku hummed.
"Then I'll grow it out,"
"Uncles waiting for us,"
Katsuki closed his eyes, "He can wait a little, I wanna stay like this longer,"
Chapter 17: Act 17
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
Masaru smiled as he watched the two, their house hadn't been this warm in such a long time. Masaru's phone began to ring and seeing the name on the caller ID he frowned. He stood up from the couch and made his way to the downstairs studio, sighing before answering the phone.
"Hello?"
"I'm coming home early, I think we need to have a long and serious talk about everything, with Katsuki as well," Mitsuki told him.
"How early?"
"I'm getting in the car as we speak,"
"No," Masaru said firmly.
"I'm sorry? What do you mean no?"
"Izuku is here with Katsuki, he's staying the night and they're both happy and doing well. I don't want you around Izuku or ruining things for Katsuki right now," Masaru told her.
"Izuku is there? Why?"
"Do you need to know that?"
Mitsuki was silent for a while, "...Then when can I come?"
"Monday, after Katsuki gets home from school,"
Mitsuki sighed, "Alright,"
They hung up and Masaru made his way back up to the kitchen to pull the dessert out of the oven.
"Uncle! Uncle! Look," Izuku came into the kitchen.
Masaru wiped his hands off, "What is it?"
"It's the picture from our picnic! Look how small and cute I am," Izuku grinned.
Masaru smiled and placed a hand on his head, "You're still small and cute,"
"Hehe," Izuku went back to Katsuki.
Masaru went back to pulling out the dessert and sitting it on the counter before going to check the freezer.
"Kacchan,"
"Yea?" Katsuki raised a brow.
"Can we go outside? You said you had a swing here," Izuku asked.
"Yeah, we do, come on," Katsuki stood up "Dad we're going out back, Deku wants to see the swing,"
"Alright, there's pie and ice cream in here if you want some, I'm going to clean up a bit," Masaru exited the kitchen.
"Alright,"
They head outside and Izuku runs over to sit on the tire swing while Katsuki gently pushes him.
"Hey Kacchan,"
"Yeah?"
"What would you do if there was a war and everyone was on one side but I was on the other side?" Izuku asked.
"I'm on whatever side you're on," Katsuki told him.
"Even if all your friends are on that side and I'm on the bad side?"
"No matter what side you're on I'm on it too," Katsuki assured him.
Izuku tilted his head back to look at him, "Can I tell you a secret?"
"Of course,"
"I'm on the bad guy's side," Izuku smiled.
"Are they bad to you?"
"No, they're my family,"
"Then they're my family too," Katsuki smiled.
"You mean it!"
"Yes," Katsuki nodded "Can you tell me about it?"
"Mhm," Izuku kicked his legs "The person that found me was Shiggy, he saved me when I was dying. His sensei adopted me and they raised me, I love them and they love me too. They hate the heroes just like me and we all want them to die.
I had to convince them to let me help, they didn't want me to get caught up in it. I like that they protect me and want me to stay safe but I have to do this. I promised Mama and Daddy I'd send the heroes to them and I have to keep it, so I came here.
I have to find out All Might's weakness so I can kill him and then I'm gonna make the world better so the people like me don't have to suffer anymore. Will you help me? If it's Kacchan we can do anything," he smiled.
Katsuki kissed his forehead, "Of course, I'll help, I'll do anything if it's for you,"
Izuku smiled wide, "Good! I have another secret, I found out I wasn't quirkless, I have a quirk that only works on people who love me. But I can't fight with that so Papa gave me a new quirk,"
"What's the original quirk?" Katsuki raised a brow.
"Mm, I don't really know how to explain it," Izuku kicked his legs more "I can make anything possible for you as long as you love me," He told him.
"Damn, that sounds way too powerful,"
Izuku giggled, "Is there something you want Kacchan?"
"Hm," Katsuki thought about it "I'm content as long as I have you with me," he said gently.
Izuku got up and turned to cup his face, "Then, if you love me, never lose me again,"
Katsuki's eyes flashed and he smiled, "You didn't need your quirk for that, I won't let anyone take you away again,"
"I know you won't, Kacchan loves me most in the world," Izuku hugged his neck as Katsuki lifted him up.
"Am I the one you love the most?"
"Love isn't enough to describe it, if I lost you I'd destroy this world and leave nothing behind," Izuku looked him in the eyes.
Katsuki kissed him lovingly, "I'll bring you every last one of their heads, I'll paint the sky red," he declared.
Izuku smiled and hugged him tighter, "I know you will,"
Masaru stood near the window and smiled to himself before picking up the laundry basket and walking away.
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
It had been a very long and eventful day, Katsuki hadn't been this happy in a very very long time. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow, however Izuku wasn't tired yet. He got out of bed and quietly left the room, making his way down the hall. Footsteps so light Masaru jumped a little when he heard his door creak, he looked up from his book and saw Izuku peaking in the room.
He chuckled, "Can't sleep?" Masaru closed the book.
"I'm not tired yet and I saw your light on, can I come in?" Izuku asked.
"Of course,"
Izuku smiled and came in, hopping onto the rather high bed and getting comfortable next to the man making him smile.
"Why are you still up?"
"I like to read before bed, it helps me sleep better," Masaru told him.
"What's the book about?" Izuku picked it up.
"It's about a boy who lost his family in an accident very young and gets taken in by a close family friend. He starts to find clues that his family's accident might not have been an accident after all and that they were involved in something big. He starts to follow the clues and leads to find the truth," Masaru explains.
"Oh...do you think my situation is like that?"
Masaru gave him a sad smile, "I wish, at least then there would be some reasoning or explanation as to why it happened. Unfortunately, people are just ignorant and hateful for absolutely no reason,"
"Mmm," Izuku looks down "All Might keeps trying to talk to me, he thinks he can just apologize and that'll make things right. Saying sorry won't bring them back..." He mumbled angrily.
Masaru frowned and pulled him into a hug, "If I could I'd kick his ass,"
Izuku gasped, “Uncle!”
Masaru laughed, “Sorry sorry,”
Izuku just giggled, “Kacchans a bad influence on you,”
“Maybe,” Masaru smiled “I heard you two outside today,”
Izuku froze, “…You did?”
Masaru gave him a little squeeze, “I won’t talk you out of anything or try to stop you, I understand why you've chosen this path. If I had lost you or Katsuki I'd be worse than any villain, which is why I hope you’ll look out for him. When it comes to you nothing else matters to him so make sure he doesn't lose himself and comes out ok yeah?”
Izuku sat up, “I will! Kacchan is most important, I'll protect him with my life so he can come back to you,”
“The same goes for you too, both of you have to come back,” Masaru told him “There is nothing more important than both of you being alive and healthy. Promise me that you'll put both of your lives before anything else,”
“I promise,” Izuku held out his pinkie.
Masaru hooked them, “No matter what you do or what you choose to do we’re both on your side and we support you. If we have to run we’ll run, if we have to hide we’ll hide, and if we need to take lives down the line then we won't hesitate. No matter what you do it's their fault and it's a consequence of what they did so don't feel bad about it. We’re your family and we always will be, don't ever forget that,” he smiled.
Izuku smiled wide, “I won’t,”
They both kissed their hands to seal their promise, a promise that will never be broken.
❜ ─ Scene 3 ─ ❛
Currently, Izuku and Katsuki are in the woods, why are they in the woods you ask? They decided to look for their old hideout and ended up getting lost. However, it didn't really matter because they were having fun, there was a squirrel that really liked them for some reason. So Izuku was trying to feed it some strawberries he had while Katsuki was watching amusedly.
“Kacchan,”
Katsuki was immediately tense upon hearing Izuku’s tone, “What is it?”
“There are people around us, unfamiliar and hostile,” Izuku slowly stood up.
Katsuki took his hand and pulled Izuku closer to him, now fully alert, hand sparking as he tightened his hold. They stood still for several moments, waiting tensely when finally the group began to emerge. Izuku recognized them immediately, his past knowledge clearly still unforgotten, ten low-level heroes.
“What is this?” Katsuki snarled.
“Midoriya Izuku, we know he's working with villains, his phone is tapped. We know you're just protecting your friend, hand him over to the commission and you won't be in any trouble,” A woman stepped forward.
“You got me fucked up,” Katsuki growled.
“Don't do this kid, look around you, be smart about this,” A man told him, coming forward as well.
“You come over here and I promise you not going home,” Katsuki threatened.
The woman came forward again, “Bakugo-”
Katsuki raised his hand and let off a massive explosion, blowing all of them back several feet. Screams and shouts of surprise and pain could be heard, they quickly turned to gasps as the smoke cleared. The only thing left of her were her ankles down to her feet, still inside her metal boots which still stood upright.
Before they had any time to act small spheres of fire appeared all around them and shot out, piercing them all through the head at once. Their bodies dropped to the ground and burned away without a trace as Katsuki clicked his tongue knowing things were about to get annoying.
“Deku you alright-” Katsuki flinched seeing the look on Izuku’s face.
“He betrayed me…he said we were family,” Izuku mumbled, his eyes wide and losing color as flames kissed his skin.
The air around them began to rapidly eat up making it hard to breathe, Izuku’s anger causing his quirks to act up.
“Izuku,”
His eyes came back into focus seeing Katsuki in front of him, “Kacchan,”
“He wouldn't do that to you, maybe he doesn't know,” Katsuki told him.
“You’re right,” Izuku mumbled “We should hear him out before I kill him,”
Chapter 18: Act 18
Chapter Text
❜ ─ Scene 1 ─ ❛
As Nezu sits in his bedroom looking over documents his door is opened and Izuku walks in with Katsuki. The small flames on his skin were proof that he was still upset and Nezu frowned worriedly.
"Izuku? What's wrong?" Nezu asked.
Izuku tossed his badly burned phone on the creature's bed, "Did you know?"
"Know what? What has happened?" Nezu asks.
Izuku clicks his tongue as he eyes him and walks over so he's standing over Nezu which only worries him more.
"Do you love me?" Izuku asks, almost nervous.
Nezu's eyes flash pink, "Very much so,"
Izuku's expression softens and he sighs, sitting on the floor as his legs go weak, and sniffles a little. Nezu immediately gets out of bed and crouches beside Izuku worriedly, as he cups his face.
"Are you alright? Did someone hurt you?" Nezu frowns.
"We got attacked while walking outside, they wanted Deku and said his phone was tapped. They've been listening to his conversations," Katsuki explained.
"Are you two hurt?"
"Nope, they're dead though,"
"I'm so sorry Izuku, I should have bought your phone myself," Nezu frowned "Do you have any idea why they would want Izuku?"
Katsuki looked at Izuku who wiped his eyes, "The ones who took him in are the league, they saved his life back then and raised him,"
"They're not bad, they're my family and they love me," Izuku wiped his face.
Nezu nodded, "I understand, I'll take care of this and destroy any proof of this,"
"Are you gonna kick me out? Am I still your family?" Izuku asked.
"Of course you are, I won't turn against you, you have my word," Nezu promised.
Izuku hugged his neck and Nezu hugged him back, assuring him that he'd take care of it and he doesn't have to worry about anything.
Izuku rubbed his eyes, "I wanna see Papa, I have to warn him,"
"Go, I'll make sure they don't come for you again," Nezu wiped his face "Don't come back until I say it's ok,"
Izuku nodded and grabbed his second phone from Katsuki, sending a text to someone. A minute later a warp gate opened in the center of the room and Shigaraki stepped through.
"Izuku what happened?! Are you ok?!" He hurries over to him.
"I want Papa," Izuku says tearily.
Shigaraki picks Izuku up and glances at the other two, "I haven't seen a thing," Nezu nods.
Katsuki simply walks through the gate and Shigaraki assumes Izuku convinced him to join their side.
As the warp gate disappears Nezu pulls out his phone and calls a number, "It's my day off," the man said immediately.
"Shota, I need you to get over here," Nezu spoke.
"Is it urgent?"
"It involves Izuku, his safety is in jeopardy,"
"I'll be there in fifteen,"
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
Izuku hid his face in AFO's neck as he lay on him, it was the first time it occurred to him that someone be lying about loving him. He never doubted them before but when he thought Nezu betrayed him it scared him. Love isn't some eternal thing that never goes away, it's scary and even dangerous if it's the wrong kind.
Love can be fleeting as people fall out of love all the time and sometimes people think they love someone but they really don't. Sometimes people mistake liking and caring about someone as loving them. Izuku didn't want the people he loved to stop loving him, being unloved was the scariest thing in the world to him.
Izuku sat up and AFO gently wiped the tears from his face, "Have you calmed down a bit? You're with me now and I won't let anyone touch a strand of your hair," he promised.
Izuku couldn't stop frowning, "Can I use my quirk on you?"
"Will that ease your heart?"
Izuku nodded and AFO smiled, "Then go ahead,"
"Papa...you still love me right?" Izuku fidgeted.
His eyes flashed and Izuku brightened up, "Of course I do," he smiled.
"Then if you love me you can't stop loving me, never ever no matter what, even if I'm gone,"
AFO's eyes flashed again, "I swear it on my life, I'll love you for as long as I live,"
Izuku hugged his neck tightly, "You have to live a long time Papa,"
"I will,"
"Good,"
"Everyone's worried about you, why don't you go see them so they stop bothering me," AFO chuckled "I want to talk to Bakugo about what happened,"
Izuku nodded and got up, "Ok Papa, you have to get along with Kacchan ok? If you fight I'll be upset,"
"Alright Izuku,"
Izuku left the room and went to visit all the league members one by one, he'd use his quirk on them and make sure they wouldn't stop loving him. It made all his fears go away knowing that his family loved him. It was reassuring that he had nothing to worry about and it put him in a very good mood. As he left the gamer room and said bye to Spinner he was lifted into the air.
"How could you go say hi to everyone else before me?" Dabi asked.
"Bubs!" Izuku hugs him.
"Oh so now you miss me?" Dabi carries him away.
"I always miss my bubs," Izuku giggled.
"Really now?" Dabi raises a brow as he sits down.
"Yes!"
"More than you miss Shigaraki?"
Izuku tilts his head, "Ummmm, equally,"
Dabi chuckles, "I'll take it, did you have fun?"
"Uh huh, me and Kacchan had lots and lots of fun," Izuku said excitedly.
"Wow, sounds like you didn't miss us at all,"
"No, I did! It was only one lot of fun," Izuku said quickly.
Dabi laughed and Izuku glared, "You're pranking me!"
"Alright alright, I won't mess with you anymore," Dabi kissed his forehead.
Izuku just pouted, "I'll forgive you,"
"How kind of you?"
"Bubs do you still love me most?" Izuku asked excitedly.
"Of course I do," Dabi laughed.
Izuku's face slowly fell, "Then why won't your scars go away?" He said nervously.
"Bun, my injuries are too severe to heal anymore," He smiled sadly.
Izuku just looked at him and Dabi frowned seeing Izuku's mood drop dramatically. Without a word Izuku got up, pushing Dabi away from him when he reached for him.
"Bun...? Wait what's wrong? Bun come back," Dabi frowned and stood up.
Izuku ignored him and walked away from him, heading to the second floor, a part of the manor Dabi wasn't allowed to go. He went straight to Shigaraki's room and closed the door running over to him.
Shigaraki sat up and hugged a teary-eyed Izuku with a frown, "What's wrong? Who hurt you?"
"Bubs," Izuku sniffled.
Shigaraki narrowed his eyes, "What did he do?"
"He's a liar! He said he loves me but he doesn't," Izuku said upset.
Shigaraki lifted Izuku onto his lap, "Are you sure? Did he say he didn't love you or do anything bad to you?"
"No..."
"Then what makes you think he doesn't?"
Izuku rubbed his eyes, "I kept a secret from you, only Papa and Kacchan know," he said lowly.
"What secret? You can tell me, I won't be upset it's ok," Shigaraki wiped his eyes.
"I had a quirk the whole time, I just didn't know until that man tried to hurt me and I activated it. It only works on people who love me and I can make stuff happen as long as you love me. I didn't want anyone to get hurt by the bad people so I was using my quirk to make it so you guys would be stronger. But when I asked Bubs if he loved me he said yes but that was a lie because my quirk didn't work on him!" Izuku told him.
"Are you sure he was lying? Maybe you didn't activate your quirk,"
"It's always active!"
Izuku got up and grabbed Shigaraki's mirror then brought it back to him and held it up.
"Watch your eyes and answer me," Izuku told him.
Shigaraki held the mirror and nodded, "Alright,"
"Tomu-nii do you love me?"
"Yes, there's no one I love more than you,"
His eyes flashed pink and Shigaraki looked surprised, "See! That's how people who love me react to my quirk but his eyes didn't change. I thought he loved me now but he doesn't. He lied to me,"
Shigaraki put the mirror down and hugged Izuku, "He may not love you but he does care about you,"
Izuku shook his head, "I don't trust him anymore, he's not safe!"
"Izuku..."
"What if there's something he cares about more than me? What if it's something he'll hurt me for? I can't protect myself from him...I'm scared," Izuku cried.
Shigaraki held him securely, "What can I do? I'll do anything to make you feel safe,"
"I don't want him close anymore," Izuku hugged him.
"Alright, I'll make sure of it,"

Shigaraki stepped into the bar and Dabi was on him immediately, following Shigaraki to the basement.
"To,"
"Yes, Dabi," Shigaraki continued walking.
"Where is he?"
"Who are you referring to?" Shigaraki searches a box for a phone charger.
"Can you please not be a dick right now? Where's bun?" Dabi asked.
"With Master and that Bakugo kid,"
"Why is he upset with me? What did I do? You have to tell me so I can fix it," Dabi said, desperation hidden in his tone.
Shigaraki sighs, "I don't think it's something you can just "fix","
"What do you mean I can't fix it? What did I do wrong?"
"He thinks you don't love him and that made him unable to trust you. There's not really anything we can do about that right now," Shigaraki turns to him.
"What? Why would he think I don't love him?" Dabi asks lowly with a frown.
"Look, I don't know. Maybe your actions made him feel that way? Just give him space to calm down and figure out his feelings," Shigaraki said, heading for the stairs.
"You...you can't talk to him? You know, maybe convince him to talk to me?" He grabs Shigaraki's arm.
Shigaraki turns, "He doesn't want to be around you right now; that's why he's with the master. I can pass along a message, but I won't force him."
Dabi let him go, "Ok..."
Something catches his eye and he squints before grabbing his wrist again, "Wait,"
Shigaraki sighs heavily, "Yeah?"
"You..." Dabi stared at Shigaraki's smooth, rash-free skin, in fact, his skin was oddly perfect "Your skin..."
"Bubs do you still love me most?" Izuku asked excitedly.
"Of course I do," Dabi laughed.
Izuku's face slowly fell, "Then why won't your scars go away?" He said nervously.
Dabi grows pale as the pieces slowly click into place, "You know the reason don't you..."
"Dabi I don't-"
"Yes you do," Dabi cuts him off "There's no way you don't, Izuku tells you everything. First All for One's face mysteriously healed when all the healing quirks in the world couldn't fix him and now your skin is fucking flawless." Dabi grows slightly distressed "After I said I loved him he asked why my scars wouldn't heal then...why did he ask me that?"
"Dabi-"
"Please..." The man said quietly "I need to know,"
Shigaraki sighs once again, "Alright, Alright,"
Dabi lets him go and sits on the basement couch and Shigaraki sits beside him, "Look, I can't tell you everything so I'll put it this way. Izu has an...ability and it only works on people who love him. It didn't work on you which he says means you don't love him. He's...afraid,"
Dabi's face falls, "Of....of me?"
Shigaraki nods, they sit in silence for a bit before he speaks again, "Toga, it works on her which means in some fucked up way she really does love him. He's terrified of her but lately, he's been okay with her around right?"
Dabi speaks lowly, mind still reeling, "Yea..."
"That's because with his ability he can control her in a sense, not in the way you're thinking," Shigaraki adds as Dabi opens his mouth "Let me put it this way. If Izuku tells her "If you love me you can fly" she really will be able to fly after that. That's how it works. So being that she loves he can use that to make sure she can never hurt him again. He can't do that with you,"
"But I'd never hurt Bun, he knows I'd never hurt him right?" Dabi looks up.
Shigaraki speaks in a tone that's oddly gentle, "He knows you care about him but he's scared that if you had to hurt him for something you cared about more than him, you would."
"I wouldn't..." Dabi puts his head in his hands "Do I...really not love him? If what I feel for him isn't love then what is it?" Dabi mumbles "Cause it fuckin feels like love,"
Shigaraki stands and quietly leaves, giving the man space to process everything. Dabi stares down at his hands. He doesn't love Izuku? That's not possible, he's never cared for anyone as much as he cares for Izuku. Why can't he love Izuku? He wants to love Izuku. A knot twists in his stomach knowing that Izuku is scared of him, that Izuku no longer trusts him. What can he do to make himself love Izuku? With trembling hands, Dabi pulled out his phone and texted Izuku's number.
Dabi's knee bounces anxiously as the typing indicator disappears and reappears for several agonizing minutes before a reply finally comes in.
Dabi lets out a big sigh of relief, his tense body finally going lax as he combs through his hair with a shaky breath.
"I'll fix it..."
❜ ─ Scene 2 ─ ❛
Izuku lay on top of Katsuki as they lay on AFO's couch as the man was in the lab with the doctor right now. Katsuki scratched Izuku's scalp soothingly and Izuku melted into his touch with a sigh.
"Kacchan did you talk to Uncle yet?"
"Yea, he's fine,"
"Ok good,"
Katsuki kisses his forehead, "Stop worrying,"
"I can't, I'm a worrier,"
"It's warrior,"
"Oh," Izuku giggles.
"You're such a Deku,"
"Don't be a dick Kacchan,"
"Language," Kurogiri enters the room.
"It wasn't me!"
"Who turned my Izuku into a delinquent?" Kurogiri pats his head.
"Kacchan,"
"Stop blaming me, nerd,"
"Bad influence!"
Kurogiri chuckles, "Where is Master?"
"In the lab with the doc,"
"Alright," he heads for the door.
"Let's go too, I'm bored," Izuku gets up and drags Katsuki along.
They head to the lab and walk in to see Dr. Tsubasa showing AFO the new nomu type he's working on.
"Papa!" Izuku calls out as he makes his way over.
AFO bends down to lift Izuku up, "Did you have a nice nap?"
"Yup," Izuku lazily hugs his neck before getting down "is this the new nomu?"
"Yes, it is," Dr. Tsubasa says "What do you think?"
"Hmm," Izuku's childish mentality suddenly disappears as he reads the graph "Not good enough," Izuku's voice is flat.
Dr. Tsubasa's eyes light up, his favorite side of Izuku has woken up, it's been nearly a year since the last time. He hands Izuku a board and pen, leaning close as he starts scribbling and talking monotonously.
"First you need to replace the brain with that of a genius embedded with a powerful ai. The Ai should have real-time learning capabilities as well as quirk analysis. The quirk combination should be super regeneration, strength boost, energy absorption, warp gate, telekinesis, flight, teleportation, adaptability, and precognition. For exterior a metal-like hide, regenerative nanotech, and a mental shield." Izuku changed some formulas.
"Anything else?"
"A hive mind is something we should try our hand at," Izuku turns to him "You can do this much right?"
"Of course!" Dr. Tsubasa takes the clipboard and runs off to run a simulation.
Izuku bounds over to AFO, "Papa. Papa."
AFO chuckles, "Yes?"
Izuku motions him down but AFO just lifts Izuku up to his ear, "We have important work remember?"
AFO pats his head, "Ah you're right, shall we get started?"
"Yes! Kacchan come on," Izuku hugs AFO's neck as he starts walking.
Katsuki and Kirogiri follows them, softly talking about training or something like that, Izuku wasn't really listening. He just played in AFO's hair, happy that he finally has hair again and isn't bald anymore.
"Are you gonna take All Mights quirk out of Kacchan?" Izuku asks.
"That was the original plan, give you that quirk while giving my quirk to Tomura. Start a tradition of passing it down to brothers. But if you don't like that we can figure something else out."
"Hmm," Izuku turns to Katsuki "Kacchan can I have your quirk?"
"Which one?"
"All Mights,"
"Yea go ahead,"
"Ok~ I'll give you something better don't worry,"
"Thanks, nerd,"
"Well that was quite easy," Kurogiri chuckles.
