It was just like any other day in Bellwood. People going about their days and not caring for much. In a nearby school sits a class all hungrily staring at the clock on the wall, just waiting for it to tell them that summer is here. None of them are even paying attention to the lesson anymore, all except one young man in the back of the class. This boy is N Tennyson. N is a fairly average boy with white messy hair and glowing yellow eyes, he likes games, pranks and food like any other teenage boy, and while he’s often childish and immature, he can also be very mature and calculated when he wants or needs to be. This is because he knew that while being mature and smart is important, he’s still a child that should make the most of the little childhood he has left. But nonetheless he took classes and school seriously, unlike his other classmates that don’t do anything during class and still complain and act confused when they get a failing grade.
After a few minutes the clock finally signalled that they were allowed to leave. Almost everyone in the class immediately stood up and excitedly sprinted out of class, a few of them even forgot their backpacks in their haste to leave for summer break. While not as hurried, N left the school equally excited as he had been waiting all year for today. Every year during summer he and his grandpa Max would go camping, but this year they would be doing a road trip around the whole country and N had been waiting for this the entire year.
As N was leaving the school when he spotted Cash and JT bullying a girl. He heard a few loud meows and hisses as he approached. He saw how Cash was tying up a small black cat and how JT was pushing a white haired girl on to the ground to keep her from helping (presumably)her cat.
“Nice push JT, now help me tie this dumb stupid cat to that tree” Said Cash in a loud obnoxious voice that sounded as if a box of bagpipes were shoved down his throat
“Thanks Cash! We’re sure going to show this dumb stupid dumb stupid idiot stupid dumb girl not to fight back when we tell her to do something” JT said in a high pitched and annoying voice that made it seem like he hadn’t gone through puberty even though he was 15 year old
“I knew you guys were a bunch of scumbags but I didn’t expect you to stoop this low and harm an innocent girl and her pet cat” N said with obvious disdain in his voice
“Ohohahaaaa a AA Aa aa A A aA” Jt he started going into a disgusting ear piercing laugh that made it seem like a frog was fused into his vocal cords
“Is little ol’ Tennyson playing hero, gafghagafgagaagagafgagagffffagafgaf” Cash said before laughing, his laugh making it sound like he was choking on his own giant forehead
“I’m not a hero, and I don’t want to be a hero. I just refuse to sit by and do nothing while you mistreat this girl and her poor animal” Said N with a determined look
“Oh yeah? Well then maybe you want a sandwich? A KNUCKLE SANDWICH!” Screamed Cash as he brought up his stick arm and pitifully ejected it outwards in an attempt to punch N
N easily side stepped Cash’s pathetic attempt to punch(‘As if that pathetic display even qualified to be called a punch’ N thought to himself) him. N didn’t know how to fight, that much he knew, but what he also knew is that he was fast, nimble and very good at dodging, it’s why he was always picked first during dodgeball as whatever team had him on the team basically automatically won.
“How did you dodge my punch! Not even an elepent would be able to move out of the way from my lig-lIIY-l-l-l-liiightnaieia-electricity quick paunch!” Cash said throwing another pitiful attempt at a punch
N easily side stepped cash’s second attempt at a punch, that was even worse then the first! “First of all you mean elephant , not elepent ” He said ducking under another “punch” “Second of all you mean lightning quick punch not electricity quick punch. I mean how can you not even pronounce lightning ! Also it’s punch not paunch ” N dodged yet another “paunch(As Cash would say)” “Third of all, your punches are slow as hell! I’ve seen snails move faster than your pitiful attempt at a punch! Not to mention, what do you mean not even an elephant could dodge my punch !?!? Elephants are notoriously slow and would probably be unaffected by the punch even if it hit!” Side stepping another punch
As N dodged that last “punch” Cash fell over being carried by his small amount of momentum. N just looked at Cash as he crumbled to the floor, looking as tired as if he just ran around the entire world without breaks when in reality he only threw approximately 5 (Non-qualifiable)punches.
“Geez, this just may be more embarrassing than that time an 8 year old girl punched you so hard you pissed yourself” N said while looking at this pitiful excuse of a human being
“oHh nO! cAhSH WhaTT ShoooulD W3 d0?” JT said in panic, slurring his words
“We run before he thinks about taking advantagfge of my procuriosua situuyatimn” Cash said stumbling over the longer and more complex words
Both Cash and JT run away screaming like little girls “I honestly don’t know why they even try to be bullies anymore” N turns to the white haired girl who was untying her cat “You ok?”
“Yeah, thanks for the help” She said picking up her cat
“No problem!” N then hears a few consecutive honks as an RV pulls in front of the school gate “Sorry, that’s my cue to leave. I hope to see you around” N said before running off towards the old RV
The white haired girl looked after as N ran away. A small blush appears on her face as her hair gains a pink highlight at the ends.
“Why didn’t you just make those idiots soil their pants?” Asked the cat in the girls arms
“Are you serious Dolly? Just because I have magic doesn’t mean I can just go throwing it around everywhere!” Said the white haired girl
“Really? Because I think Charmcaster disagrees” The cat said smugly
“Ugh, shut up. When I’m operating as Charmcaster I keep my identity hidden!” She said annoyed to the cat
“Whatever you say Charmsy” The cat said
“Shut your mouth before I turn you into a fish and leave you here to die” Charmcaster said
– Back with N –
N opened the door and then jumped into the old Rustbucket as he looked over to his grandpa “Hi grandpa Max!”
“Hi N, it’s nice to see you again” Grandpa Max said with a small smile
“Yeah, but why are you here? You usually pick me up at my house” N asked confused
”We thought it was a good idea to pick you from school so we could have a head start” Max said
“Oh, ok. Well I’m going to- Wait what do you mean we ?” N asked as he looked back into the rustbucket and saw J sitting at the table with her shining silver hair and dark yellow eyes “...What is she doing here?!” N said somewhat agitated
“Well your mother convinced me that it would be a good idea to bring your sister along with us this year” Max said
“First of all, she’s not my sister. Second of all, why?!” N asked frustrated that this trip he had been looking forward would be ruined because of this
“What do you mean she’s not your sister? Both of you may be adopted and not related by blood, but she’s as much your sister as Tessa is your mother” Max said
“Yeah and Tessa isn’t my mother at all!” N said suddenly a lot more angry “My biological mother is a piece of shit that abandoned me after my father died! Tessa is a kind and gentle woman who took me in and raised me as her own, she is nothing like my horrible mother . Calling Tessa my mom would just be an insult to her, for even somewhat making a connection between her and my biological mother” N said angrily passionate “But either way J isn’t my sister and we both hate each other! So I can’t fathom why either of you thought it would be a good idea to send us bothe on this road trip”
“Hey, I’m also annoyed that I have to come here! I had my entire summer planned out, I even organised it all in this calendar” She brings out a calendar with every day painted in colours “I even colour organised the activities to make sure I never did one thing two days in a row!”
“See! That’s a perfect example why she shouldn’t come on this trip! She, one, had her own summer planned, and two, the point of a road trip is just take things as they come, and J can’t stand that. She need everything to be perfectly planned out and organised” N said
“You know for once I agree with N, I’m not suited for this whole venture across the country and take everything as they come” J said agreeing with N
“N, J, it’s already settled, J is coming along on the trip” Max said sternly as both J and N groaned
“At least I won’t be alone” J said
“What do you mean?” N asked
“I brought one of my friends along” J said as another girl sat up from behind J’s seat.
“Oh, great! Now I’m stuck with my sister ” N said sarcastically “and her friend! No malice towards you J’s friend, just towards J”
“Moron” J said as an insult to N
“Did you develop your personality in a car crash?” N said towards J
“Your existence proves there is nothing such as an intelligent design” J said back
“I envy anyone who hasn’t meet you” Said N
“You’re proof evolution is bullshit” Said J
“Being bitter won’t make you prettier” Said N
“If ignorance is bliss, you must be ecstatic at all times” Said J
“You’d fail a personality test” Said N
“You’re proof that accidents happen” Said J
“You’ll go far someday, I hope you stay there” Said N
“Kids, stop it!” Max said sternly
N stuck his tongue out and sat down “So who exactly is your friend?” N asked as he pointed to the girl with short white hair(‘Wow there are a lot of people with white hair’ Thought N to himself) and yellowish green eyes
“Her name is V. V meet my brother, N meet V” J said introducing the two to each other
“ Fake cough Not your brother Fake cough ” Said N “Hi nice to meet you”
“Nice to meet you too” Said V
“Are you in danger? Do you need help?” Asked N
“What?” V said confused
“It’s just I can’t fathom why anyone would want to be J’s friend unless they were being forced into it by gun point” N explained
“ Fake cough Go kill yourself Fake cough ” J said
“-.-- --- ..- / ..-. .. .-. ... - --..-- / -.-- --- ..- / -- .- .-.. -. --- ..- .-. .. ... .... . -.. / ..-. . - ..- ... / .-.. --- --- -.- .. -. --. / -... .. - -.-. ....[Translation: You first, you malnourished fetus looking bitch]” N taped in morse code on the table
– At the campsite –
Max slams down a bowl of marinated mealworms on the picnic table “Alright, foods ready!” Said Max
“... what is that?” J said as V tried her best not to gag while looking at the worms wriggling around the bowl
“Mealworms” N said while looking at the bowl “Pretty tame compared to what Grandpa usually brings out” N said monotonously
Both J and V looked at him with faces filled with worry about what Max usually brings out
“What’s the matter? You kids don’t want mealworms? If you don’t want mealworms, I think I have some lamb tongue in the fridge” Max said
“Wha- Grandpa can’t we have something normal like a burger or something?” J asked shellshocked at the food options presented to her
“Nonsense! This summer your taste buds are going on an adventure! Give me moment, let me just fetch the lamb tongues” Max said as he ran back into the Rustbucket
As Max went back into the Rustbucket, N slid over to J and V “Alright I’ve got two bags of chips, 3 chocolate bars and a bag of other various candies. What do you two have?”
“What? Uh, I have a few crackers and cookies, that’s about it” J said
“I’ve got a brownie and a bag of Ahlgrens Cars” V said quietly
“That’s it?! You went on a road trip with grandpa Max and that’s all you brought?!” N whisper yelled “The only food he brings is weird shit like that” N points to the mealworms “And you didn't think of bringing your own food?”
V and J just stay silent
“Ugh, there is no way we’re lasting through this summer” N said downtrodden
– Two hours later –
Currently N was playing on a handheld console on one side of the campsite while V and J were talking to each other about girl stuff on the completely opposite side. Max frowned as he saw this, he turned around and pulled something out of his cabinets “Hey kids! Who wants to roast marshmallows?” He asked with enthusiasm hoping that it would spread to the kids
“I would love to grandpa but me and V are busy with our book” J said as she typed on her laptop while V was drawing
Max looked over to N “Eh, I could go for some marshmallows, but I’m going to go on a walk through the forest first, is that ok with you Gramps?” N asked Max
“Uhm, Yeah that’s fine” Max said happy that N at least wanted to roast marshmallows after he came back from his walk “Walk through nature can be very beneficial so it’s very ok”
“Ok, great. See ya” N said as stood up and started lazily walking through the forest.
As N was walking through the trees he sighed and looked down to the ground “I did it again! I just couldn’t shut my mouth before insulting her. Why can I never seem to say what I want to?” N sighs “I wish it was easier. I wish it was easier to talk to J, she’s supposed to be my sister! I wish it was easier for others, that girl was being bullied earlier for no reason…”
N sighs in frustration before looking up into the sky, and he sees a shooting star falling through the sky “Maybe my wish will be granted” he said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes. But then suddenly the star seemed to change course and flew right towards him. He jumped away as it slammed into the ground, sending him flying away from the now formed crater.
He rolls to a stop in front of a tree as he looks over to the crater as a mass amount of smoke billows out of it. N cautiously approaches the crater holding a stick in his hand, ready to strike if some sort of Xenomorph alien pops out of the ground and attacks him.
After a few steps he comes to the edge of the crater and looks down at the bottom, seeing some sort of alien pod(?). N looks at it unsure what it is, but one thing he did know was he didn’t want to mess with it. N slowly started to move backwards when the ground cracked beneath him and it collapsed making him fall into the crater “Shit!” N shouted as he quickly stood up and got away from the pod as it started to open.
A mass amount of smoke departed from the pod as it cooled itself. When it finally opened, some sort of watch laid within. The dial of the watch glowed a Dark blue shining in a circular motion. N wasn’t an idiot, he knew he shouldn't touch whatever that was, but he’s also impulsive at times. And this was one of those times, as he stood up and reached forward with his right arm. Abruptly the watch jumped towards N and stuck to his right wrist, seemingly infusing itself onto him as the light turned green.
N like any other person reasonably panicked as some sort of alien device had just forcefully attached itself onto him. He tried with all his might to tear it off but it wouldn’t budge from his arm. N quickly climbed out of the crater and started trying to use a stick as leverage to get it off, but that didn’t work as the stick broke before he could even get it under the strap of the watch.
N having lost most of his panic just looked at the watch as it sat on his arm, doing nothing. It wasn’t harming him, and it didn’t seem to be trying anything, so N did the only thing he could think of and that was trying to figure out what it was and what it was doing. N continuously looked over it and occasionally prodded at anything found odd, eventually N decided to push down on the crown of the watch, and when he did that the dial popped up and a light shone of it that projected an image of some sort of creature. N didn’t recognise it and had no idea what it was, although N thought it looked like a bat(?) wearing some sort of cloak.
N, being completely confused as to why the dial popped out and was now projecting an image, decided that he should probably stop messing around with it before he got himself killed. So N pushes down on the dial ready to leave back to the campsite and ask his grandpa for help. But as the dial was pushed down a green light flashed and N felt his body start to change. He felt as his flesh shifted, he felt as a cloak of ice covered him and infused itself with him. He felt as if he was going through a metamorphosis and changing into something new. After a singular second, that felt like an hour, had passed, N found himself standing in the forest a tiny bit disoriented
N almost immediately noticed that he was taller, currently he was well above 7 feet tall. As he looked down he saw that he was wearing some sort of cloak, and suddenly he realised that he had become the creature that the watch had been projecting. N had jumped back in fear and the cloak unfolded and stretched out reveal that it was actually a pair of wings “What the fuck!! What is happening?!” N tried to shout, but his voice only came out in a calm and smooth yet rough voice. And almost immediately he felt himself calm down to tranquillity, giving him the room to think clearly
“So, that alien watch must have allowed me the ability to transform into this... alien? I obviously have physically been changed to this alien, is it possible that I was changed mentally as well. It would explain how I almost instantly calmed down, considering the events that are playing out. I wonder if there are more aliens that I can become, hmm… This is very interesting and exciting” N said in a completely calm, levelled and somewhat monotone voice
I wonder, could the watch have allowed me to become this for a reason? Is it some sort of super high tech weapon? Are people going to come after to get it? I wonder does these aliens have powers? Could I use these powers? That would help me fend off any potential threats to my safety, specifically the hypothetical aliens that are probably going to try and kill me for this watch” N said as he looked towards his wrist and saw the watch wasn’t there “Oh, where did it go?” He said with not a hint of worry in him
N looked down to see the Dial of the watch resting in the middle of his chest, having some sort of green hourglass looking symbol on it “I suppose in this form it is more easily handled there, then on my wrist. Yes that is a fair assessment to make” N said to himself “But, now let’s give this guy a test drive… I should probably give it a name, that isn’t just alien or guy… It looks sort of like a moth, so maybe something moth? But I need some sort of adjective or noun before it… or maybe after it…” N takes a deep breath and sighs. The air he exhales is cold and freezes the tree in front of him into ice
“Huh, Ice? … Maybe… Frost Moth? Frost Moth… I like it, from now on, this guy is Frost Moth(Frost Moth is Big Chill if you didn’t realise. I feel like N would name all the aliens different things than Ben would. Frost Moth is what I think he would call Big Chill, but please tell me what you think he would call Big Chill :D)” N nods his head proud of the name he came up with “Alright now to test what frost Moth can do” N the spread his wings and flew up into the air. N had never felt something as freeing as flying through the evening sky. He shut his eyes as he start slowly spinning in the air, he felt the air rush past his face and he felt more alive than he has ever felt before
As N opened his new eyes he saw a tree right in front of him, he shut his eyes as panicked as he was going to crash right into it but he never slammed into it. When he opened his eyes again he found himself on the other side of the tree. He looked behind him confused about what had happened when an idea struck him “Did… Did I phase through that tree?!” N immediately tested his theory as he flew straight towards another tree, and as if it was second nature to him he became intangible and flew straight through the tree. He looked back and saw that the tree had slightly started to freeze over “Awesome!!” N said with start in his eyes
N proceeded to fly around the forest in pure glee after a few minutes he stopped and landed on the ground, trying to take in the amazement he had in this situation. Thankfully when he was Frost Moth it seemed as if he was a lot calmer and was a lot less impulse, reckless and excitable. N stood there just imagining what other aliens could be in the watch. He looked down at the dial wondering if he needed to use it to become himself again, or if there was just some sort of time limit. Suddenly he hears a high pitched scream coming from behind him. He immediately turns around, only to see the barely 5 foot tall J screaming while looking at him. He doesn’t understand why, until he remembers he’s a 7 ft tall blue moth alien.
“Wait, wait, wait! Please stop screaming, it's just me!” N tries to talk with J but she isn’t listening and in complete terror she picks a big rock and throws it at N. As on instinct N turns intangible and lets the stone pass right through him “J! Listen to me, it’s me, N!”
“Yeah, right! Like I’ll believe you, you fucking monster!! You’re a disgusting insect monster! As if you could be my hot brother!” J said holding a stick ready to attack N if he moves
“Just list-... wait what… what did you just call me?” He asked in a whisper as the words J had said were processed
“If you’re really my brother then tell me something only he and I know!” J said confident he wouldn’t be able to think of anything
“You used to have nightmares that made you wet your bed, the only way you didn’t get these nightmares that made you wet your bed is when you slept in my bed, with me, your brother. This went on until you were 13” N said monotonous, not even having to think about it for a second
“... N?!?!?” J shouted in shock, realising that it actually was N “... Ignore what I said earlier!!”
“No, I want to know why you called me your hot brother!” N asked very confused
“...Uhhh… You see.. Well.. uhm” J sighed “Fine… it’s because-” J started before she was cut off by the watch dial beeping and shining red, before suddenly N was covered in a red light and turned back to normal
“Oh, hey! I’m back to normal” N said distracted away from their earlier conversation
“Y-yeah.. So! Uh.. what was all of that?” J said clearly hoping that N would forget the previous subject, but she was also genuinely curious about what was happening
“Oh, right! So basically this weird capsule fell from outer space and landed in front of me! Inside the capsule was this watch thing” He said while pointing at the watch “And then it just stuck itself onto me! I tried getting it off using brute force, but that didn’t work, so I tried getting it off using trial and error by inspecting it! After a while I pressed down on the crown and the dial popped out and displayed a hologram of that moth alien guy! And then I pressed down on the dial which turned me into that alien. So I think this Watch is some sort of weapon or something that lets you turn into aliens in order to fight or something” N explained in one breath
“Wow! That’s… incredible!” J said flabbergasted “Can you turn into another alien!! Please! For me!” J said with wonder in her eyes
“Sure! I was going too anyway!” N took his left hand and pressed the crown on the watch, but the watch made some sort of sound that was very obviously telling them that it couldn’t. It was then that they noticed that it was still red “Huh, I guess it must have some sort of cooldown before I can use it again”
“Aw, bummer” J said a little more than disappointed
Suddenly a tree is knocked down, as a small robot flies forward and scans them. It’s eyes(?) land on the watch and then it looks at who it’s attached to “ Omnitrix Found! Target Acquired ” It said out loud before a laser is charged up and fire at N who ducks under it just in time
“HOLY FUCK!” N screams as he sees the hole burnt through the tree. Suddenly five more of the same robot flies in and all of them start charging lasers. Luckily N is able to tell what a charging laser looks like from all his games, so he's able to evade all of them. But the robots are able to corner him up against a tree, and one of the robots in the middle starts charging up a laser to kill him. But before it’s able to shoot off the laser, J comes up and smashes the robot using the rock she threw at N when he was Frost Moth.
The robot was immediately destroyed and all of the other robots turned to her and started charging their lasers, J was only barely able to get out of the way, but she was still hit on the side of her left arm. Blood started oozing out of the wounds as J held it in pain.
N was overcome with rage as he saw his sister hurt by these robots, he then noticed that the so-called Omnitrix turned green again. N immediately hit the crown to pop open the dial, the dial extended and N immediately pressed down the dial, not caring what he was transformed into. A green light enveloped N as he felt his body grow and fur sprouted out of him. When the transformation was complete he was a large bipedal tiger, with black claw-blade things in each of his hands, the fur around his eye was black, making it look like he was wearing an eye mask.
As soon as N had become this guy he let out a very angry growl, before he howled and walked straight up to the robots who all turned to him “NOW YOU LISTEN HERE YOU LARGE PIECE OF JUNK METAL!!! I DON’T LIKE THE FACT THAT YOU HURT MY SISTER!! AND IF I DON’T LIKE SOMETHING! I DESTROOOOYYYY IT!” N immediately threw a haymaker that destroyed the robot and sent it flying through few trees
One of the robots immediately scanned N and spoke out loud “ Species Identified, Result: Appoplexian. Initiating appropriate countermeasure ” The robot shot out a constant, harmless laser on the ground and waved it around enticingly
N looks down at the laser and looks back to the robot “NOW YOU LISTEN TO ME YOU BOOTLEG WALLY! N MAY LIKE THE SHINY PRETTY LIGHT! BUT N CARES MORE ABOUT HIS SISTER THAN THAT STUPID LIGHT!! AND THE FACT YOU THOUGHT THAT N WOULD PICK THE LIGHT OVER HIS OWN SISTER IS OFFFFFENDING ME!!! AND N DOESN’T LIKE BEING OFFENDED!!” N immediately starts pummeling the robot with a mass amount of punches, one of the other robots tries to attack him, but N just rips off its arm-claw thing and begins beating the robot with it “STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! THE FACT THAT YOU AREN’T LISTENING TO ME AND YOU ARE NOT STOPPING HITTING YOURSELF IS MAKING ME ANGRRRRYYYYYY!!!!!!!” N immediately destroys all the other robots using that robot “N DOESN’T LIKE YOU ROBOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” N keeps beating the already non-functional robots “AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” N screams in a victory cry
“Jesus! N stop!”J says concerned about N
“NOW LISTEN HERE YOU TINY WOMEN! YOU CAN’T TELL N WHAT HE’S SUPPOSED TO DO OR NOT SUPPOSED TO DO! AND THE FACT THAT YOU THINK YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT TO DO, MAKES ME AAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! NOW N IS GOING TO TRANSFORM BACK TO NORMAL!!” N then hits the Omnitrix dial on his chest and he’s covered in a green light before goes back to normal “Wow, that was intense” N says breathing heavily
“...What the fuck was that!!” J asked in complete astonishment
“Well that proves my theory that I also take on the mental properties of the alien species I become” N said exhausted
“You do?” J asked “How did you change when you were the moth guy?”
“Frost Moth” N corrected
“What?”
“Frost Moth, it’s what I call it. But to answer your question when I was Frost Moth I became a lot calmer, pt together, I didn’t have so much on my mind, I was also very curious about things” N said
“Huh, interesting. Also naming them does make sense I guess… but seriously, Frost Moth ? That’s the best you could come up with?” J said condescendingly
“Hey, I liked it” N said looking genuinely hurt by that
“Uh, wha-... I suppose it was fine” J said not actually expecting N to be hurt by her insult “But moving on, what are you going to call that tiger guy” J asked
“Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…” N stood thinking for a moment “Indigragetion!”
“...what?” J asked
“Indigragetion! It's like a portmanteau of Indignation and Rage, cause when I was that guy I was easily annoyed or irritated by the smallest of actions and when I was annoyed, I was filled with rage to destroy that thing or person” N said
