Earth, now a desolate place on the verge of dying cause of humanity’s ignorance to save it. Many of the green is gone and so are much of the wild life. The economy is just as awful, many people living in one room run down apartments while some are either just lucky or are financially stabled enough to afford a simple house. Of course now, humanity has now found another place to taint just like earth.
Pandora, a whole new world, filled with life, luscious green land, and clear blue waters, so much to discover and see, and is home to tall humanoids called the Na’vi. Unlike the humans they appreciate Pandora, and want life to thrive, and live in harmony with it. Unfortunately since the arrival of humans, things have been thrown to chaos, the humans destroying and polluting places the Na’vi once cherished.
Now the Na’vi fight to protect there home but of course the humans fight back with there dangerous weapons, weapons of destruction and death. So the Na’vi try and stay away from the humans which they called the Sky People to ensure their safety.

Waking up, it was like waking up from a five minute nap, so it didn’t really feel like nearly six years. It’s crazy how one person just falls asleep and wakes up being six years later, that’s what Evelyn Maverick signed up for, to leave her life behind on earth to go do research on Pandora. It’s not like she had much back on earth, no family really. Not since her parents passed a few years back and two of her older brothers she’s no longer in contact with. She didn’t care if the two of them knew or didn’t know she left for a million dollar space trip. They stopped being a concern a long time ago.
Evelyn now being out of the pod she was in got to the locker with her name on it, with the whole zero gravity on that part of the ship made it easy to get around for the most part. She got her messy blond hair in a ponytail and got the backpack she had out and the journey she signed up for was about to begin.

Now the ship with all the other humans that were also in cryo sleep which was mostly people who were scientists and ex soldiers was entering Pandora’s atmosphere and soon to land in Hell’s Gate. For Evelyn she wasn’t exactly gonna stay at Hell’s Gate, she was put into this whole other section in another part of Pandora for a mission they have chosen her to help with. Many other scientists could have been chosen but she was lucky she was chosen for whatever reason.
Soon Hell’s Gate is in sight and the pilots are ready to land and a solider shouts out to everyone to put their exopacks on, a mask that they have to wear at all times while outside due to the air being toxic. Evelyn puts on hers with ease and the ship is felt landing then everyone stands and the same solider instructs everyone to head straight inside the base once they exit.
The ship opens and Evelyn gets a good view of the outside of Hell’s Gate and everyone starts heading out straight to huge base. The outside of Hell’s Gate is filled with large machinery and buildings, fully metal and much pollution.
Then once inside they can finally take off the masks and are told to head into the commissary for a quick briefing, Evelyn sits down and dozens of to space a bit when the briefing starts, enough time to process everything.

Once the briefing is over Evelyn walks out with a half tired look on her face, apparently a six year nap can still make you tired, then the sound of footprints could be heard walking towards Evelyn “hey! Evelyn right?”
A young woman with short black hair, a t-shirt with a patch that looked like a robot that was from the 1980s and cargoshorts ran up to her “yeah I’m Evelyn” she said as the woman stoped in front of her “hi, I’m Naomi, I was chosen to be apart of the same sector your in” she smiled holding the strap of her bag with both her hands.
“Oh, really? Cool, I guess” Evelyn mumbled, she wasn’t a social type, not because she had trouble with people or anything she just had chose to close herself off from people a lot “yeah! And I was told there is a truck outside that will take use to that sector, so we better head outside” Naomi pointed at the exit. “Ok, then” Evelyn said a bit awkwardly as she walked to the exit with Naomi walking beside her, she didn’t try to make more conversation, again she choses to close herself off.
They put on their masks and got outside, there was a truck where some people were getting into, definitely the others that were going to the same sector. Evelyn and Naomi got on and once it had everyone in it the driver drove off from Hells Gate into the jungle but it did have some sort of path that was made from tire tracks, definitely on purpose to make sure people going to that sector didn’t get lost, and the obvious fact that many trucks have went threw here many times.
Soon they truck got to the facility after a very long drive and everyone got off and entered the building. Evelyn and Naomi walked side by side as they went in, “this is exciting! I can’t wait to start reasherching!” Naomi smiled “yeah, same here” Evelyn said with a bit of excitement in her voice.
The faculty looked liked the inside of Hell’s Gate but of course everything was different in some ways. “The lab is this way” Naomi pointed to the right hallway, their was a sign that said ‘Lab’ so obviously there was that.
The two women walked down the hallway and opened the door to the lab, it was filled with tech and different people either discussing things or studying stuff.
A man walked up to the two, he had a sienna skin tone with dark blonde hair, he wore an average lab coat. “Hey there, you two are a few of the newbies, I’m Doctor Marosa” he shook both of their hands. “It’s nice to meet you doctor, I’m Naomi” the young woman spoke politely “and I’m Evelyn, nice to meet you too” Evelyn slightly nodded her head.
“Well, Naomi and Evelyn, it’s good that you’re both here, it’s about time we got some newbies on the team” Doctor Marosa smiled. “So you guy want a tour of the lab?” He asked “sure” Naomi nodded.
“So, most of the stuff we have here at the lab are just plants we’ve found from this area” the Doctor explained as they walked around the lab.
“We’re currently trying to research more in the forest but we’ve been having some difficulties with the clan that lives there”.
“From what I’ve heard, aren’t their three clans that live in this region?” Naomi asked.
He nodded “yep, and the one that lives in the forest have banned us from coming any close, so we’ve got some people who are apart for the Avatar Program to try and form an alliance of some kind”.
At that point the three were just about done with the lab “and that’s pretty much the whole lab, yeah, not that big but it’s what we have to work with”.
“Well, still can’t wait to start working” Naomi smiled “me too” Evelyn agreed.
Then two people walked in the lab, they looked like they were apart of the Sec-Ops judging by the clothing one of them was wearing “so this is the lab where all the nerds are” one of them joked and the guy who was following them chuckled.
“Just cause we all have PHDs doesn't make us nerds, Reese” Marmosa smirked “oh, doctor, didn’t see you there, and looks like you have some newbies” the person named who was named Reese spoke.
Doctor Marmosa nodded “and it looks like you have a newbie with you too”. “Yeah, this is Frankie” the man named Frankie had beige skin that slightly had some darker tint and short hair that an average marine would have. Evelyn looked at the man in pure shock, like she’d seen a ghost “Frankie?!”. The man, who was Frankie looked at Evelyn then he went wide eyed “Evelyn? My god it is you!”. “Wait you two know each other?” Naomi asked looking at them both “knew each other” Evelyn said bitterly.
The two continued to stare down each other with Evelyn having a glare and Frankie having a stern look.
“Evelyn? Frankie?” Another voice was heard and they two turned and saw another man with a young looking woman behind him, the man looked around the same age as Frankie.
“Flynn?!” The two exclaimed, the man who was apparently named Flynn who would look similar to Frankie but his hair was more longer than his and pretty taller.
“What are you two doing here?!” Flynn yelled in confusion “more like what are YOU doing here?” Frankie glared, crossing his arms.
“Ok, I’m sorry to interrupt, but how do you all know each other?” Naomi asked.
Evelyn sighed “they’re my brothers, my former brothers”.
“Former?” Naomi was now a bit more confused. “Oh, so now we’re former brothers to you?” Frankie sent her a glare, “when you walked out on our family you earned that title”, “you mean when HE, walked out on our family”.
A finger was pointed at Flynn “you’re still hanging onto that? After what? Five years?”. “Technically, now it’s eleven years, you know, since we’ve all been cryo sleep” Evelyn corrected him.
“Flynn, I didn’t know you had siblings” the woman behind him said “that’s cause maybe he’s just ashamed of our existence” the tone of Evelyn’s voice was now sounding annoyed.
“I am not” Flynn gave an exhaustive sigh, Frankie gritted his theeth “if you weren’t, then maybe you would have checked up on us, or I don’t know, gave us a call or text? That would have been nice!”.
“I was in studying and working hard to get my career, I was a very busy guy!”, Evelyn got in front of him “bull shit! You could have called us anytime! But you didn’t! You wanted nothing to do with us!” She turns to Frankie “and for you, you walked out without saying where you were going! Mom, dad, and me were worried sick! We didn’t know what you were doing or if you were ok! You probably didn’t even give a fuck about us at that time!”.
“That is so not true! There you again! Always assuming things!” Frankie spatted. “You know what, I am not about to continue on with this nonsense with you two dead beats” Evelyn walked out of the lab and everyone who had witnessed the argument did not know what to say.
“Yeah I’m going too, since I should already unpack my stuff at my bunk” Frankie walked out of the lab giving Flynn a glare. “I need to blow out some stream” Flynn walked out last.
Everyone in the lab went back to doing what they were doing, while the four main people who were with them stood in since.
“Maybe I should see if Evelyn is doing fine” Naomi broke the silence and left, she looked for Evelyn until she saw her sitting on one of the benches around one of the hallways.
“Hey, you ok?” She asked sitting down next to her “yeah, sorry you had to hear all that” the other woman sighed looking down. “It’s fine…so, your brothers..”. Evelyn looked up and faced Naomi, with a look of sorrow and anger “yep, didn’t expect them to be here, just when I was stating to move on”.
“I know it’s definitely none of my business, but, could I get a clear explanation as to why you’re angry with them? From the argument it seems they left you and your parents?”.
Evelyn didn’t face her and took a deep breath “I guess I could tell you the basics”.
“When my older brother Flynn turned 18 he just left home to succeed in college for some kind of masters degree in science or something, that left all of us in sorrow, then Frankie just left out of anger and cut himself off from us, so it was just me and my parents, everyday I hoped my brothers would come home but as I got older I just gave up on them cause they gave up on us”.
Because of all that, Evelyn never made a connection with anyone ever again. “Oh, that’s, awful, I’m really sorry” Naomi frowns, “again, it’s fine, I would usually cry explaining that story but I just grew to not care”.
Evelyn crossed her arms and slumped, she thought doing this new job would be good fresh start in her life, but now with the unexpected reunion with her past has changed things now, how was this gonna escalate? Who knows! But overall, Evelyn was not gonna let this drag her down.
