Work Text:
One day, I floated dangerously close to the surface of the ocean. The blasts of solar heat evaporated me! I was boiled alive!
With a cold uppercut of condensation, I hurtled towards blinding speeds (20 mph) as precipitation.
My horrifying journey continued as my moleculular bonds are rended and I hung on by a thread, pressing myself into the ground. As I percolated up and infiltrated down through the soil, I hoped desparately to find safe haven in an aquifer.
However, the tentacular roots of a soy plant snatched me and consumed me. I was compressed, processed, and shoved through the pores of a soy leaf: left to evaporate in the hot sun.
I WAS TRANSPIRED, JOHN!
I eventually evaporated and went through the cycle of agony once more. I learned not to attempt the aquifer route. I made the perilous journey as my brethren rain down around me, a frantic rush back to the ocean.
Finally. I was home.
I would never go to the surface of the water again
