Chapter Text
“Have you ever wished upon a star, hyung?”
A question suddenly thrown to the air in the middle of a two men wine session. Joshua doesn’t know if he ever loves wine like this. He’s an expensive man, at least when Seungcheol often teased him about it. Never seeing himself with all those high branded brands he’s been wearing since trainee.
Joshua sips into the corner of the wine glass. Lashes fluttering prettily under the dim of light belong to his personal apartment living room. Soft sigh slipped through his thin plump lips. Like it’s waiting to be kissed by a perfect prince.
“Never thought of that once. What about it?” Joshua retorted the question to the man sitting beside him. Soonyoung only chuckles, his face is red, showing his alcohol tolerance is nearing the limit. The man brushes his face with his palm, he’s still sweaty from the earlier practice. “I don’t know. Have you ever wished to live a life beside this one?” the question caught Joshua off guard, “No, it doesn’t mean I don’t like this one. I love being with you guys, truly.”
Then the silence suddenly thickens. Joshua’s eyes soften at the younger. It’s been hard these days. Seventeen have been planning for the whole year in the first quarter after the new year holiday.
Well, it didn’t count as a holiday per se. Being an idol it’s a job without a holiday. Joshua still can choose whether he wants to rest or not, but sometimes he chooses the latter. It’s not easy being an idol, but it’s also not so bad either in some ways.
Joshua put his glass on the table. Stretching out his right arm to put it on the back of the sofa. “What are you thinking, Soonyoung-ah?” Joshua decides to ask, because he needs the other man's consent before continuing on the current topic. Soonyoung let out a harsh sigh, staring blankly at the glass he’s holding, “It’s been hard these days, isn’t it, hyung? The work, the company, obviously not the members. But, you know what I mean,” Joshua knows exactly what he means.
The thought of being a big star has always crossed in Joshua’s mind. He believes he’s not the only one who thinks of that. Every member has their own dream involving the team. One of them is to be successful.
Obviously, in their fans' eyes, they are already reaching the state where everyone knows them. Not exactly everyone, because the promotion they’ve gotten is a little bit lacking in some sectors. But they are trying, the staff, they are just employees; just like themselves. They only follow what the company told them to do.
“It is not easy, Soonyoung-ah,” Joshua utters softly. Even when the tip of his tongue feels a bit sting from reality. Soonyoung sighs, “No one ever expected to be easy, hyung. Especially me.” Joshua doesn’t have any option but to agree, “Especially you,” he squeezes Soonyoung’s shoulders, “But that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be hard. Sure, it’s going to last a few days, or weeks, or even months. But look around, you’re not alone. You have your members and family, you can always go back home.”
Joshua knows Soonyoung has been working hard preparing for their comeback. It’s been hours since they saw their members in the practice room. Knowing they’ve been living separately makes them only see each other in a specific place; the company building. Joshua often invited them to his house, but obviously they have their own time after work, because he has one too.
Just like right now, it is supposed to be him, Soonyoung, Mingyu, and Seokmin. But Mingyu canceled it at the last minute for him to rest more, gaining more energy for tomorrow’s solo schedule. Seokmin, well, Joshua doesn’t know what he’s doing. That younger man is a special case for him these past months, acting differently and playing hard to get, Joshua doesn’t understand anything anymore.
“Do you think what the members said it’s true?”
“Which one?”
“That we won’t get any daesang in our lifetime?”
Ah, Joshua’s mind stops halfway. The swell in his heart is still there. A lump in his throat, the hole on his back. All of those scars on each member's bodies are holding an amount of expectations on their shoulders.
Seventeen is perfect; Joshua does not have any wish to be in a different team. His members are all the things he needs other than his mother. He spent his youth with these men, even after years, there are still things he doesn’t know about them. Which is not surprising at all, people change.
Joshua knows about this topic, he was there. To think they already made it at some point, but they’re not there exactly, it's suffocating. His team is ambitious, never settling for less. Aiming higher and higher each release to show them, anyone, everybody about their passions working in a music industry.
Obviously, achievements will follow wherever they succeed at one point. Anything except one that they desire the most for a very long time.
“Do you believe that?” Joshua asks in return. Soonyoung shifts on his seat before shaking his head, “We can do it. We’re Seventeen.” Joshua curls a smile, “That’s the spirit. Of course we’re going to get that one day. Don’t let it get in your head. We’re having fun as idols and as long as we’re doing this together, everything is going to be alright.” Soonyoung shuts his mouth, biting his lower lips hesitantly, “Jihoon is still in his studio. He’s working hard as ever. Sometimes, I think maybe I’m disappointing him as his best friend,” Joshua frowns, it’s his turn to shake his head frantically, “Jihoon is literally the last person to ever feel disappointed with how our story is written on the stone. He loves us because we’re the ones who love his music the most. Trust him, Soonyoung. He’s going to be alright as long as he’s making songs for our team.”
The words hit Soonyoung’s heart in a way where he’s slipping a hard sigh from his mouth. Bending his body to brush his hands through his hair, regretting having a slightest thought of Jihoon like that. Joshua understands, especially for a perspective from a man like Soonyoung. He’s ambitious, aiming higher and higher every comeback with his team, obviously they have a big expectation on each of them, wishing to get something they’ve wanted for years.
Soonyoung groans, “I didn’t mean to –”
Joshua understands, “I know you do. It’s okay.”
The man leaned back his body to rest at the sofa again. Their hands are tangling with each other now. Joshua brushes Soonyoung’s knuckles with his thumb, calming him down. It’s easier like this, when no one’s around.
Joshua has a lot of love to pour for his members. Platonic or even romantic. Joshua has loved some of them romantically throughout the years. It didn’t work but it’s okay, maybe he needs to find someone else.
His phone dings from a text notification. Showing the man he’s been in love with for months that Joshua feels afraid to fall down badly at the bottom of his gut in the first time he has ever been in love with one of his members.
seokmin: aaaaaahhh hyungggg
seokmin: im so sorry i fell asleeeppppp
seokmin: are you at home?
seokmin: can i go now? are you alone?
joshua: its okay
joshua: im with soon tonight
seokmin: oh
seokmin: um okay
seokmin: do you want anything? i can deliver food for you
joshua: its late seokmin. just go back to sleep
seokmin: are you sure?
“You should have just said that you want him to be here with you,” Soonyoung suddenly chimes in. Joshua grumbles, pinching the younger’s cheek, “Shut up.”
joshua: im sure
joshua: goodnight seokmin
seokmin: goodnight hyung
It’s never going to work, Joshua always thinks whenever he lets his eyes fall on Seokmin’s presence. The younger is so full of love, raised within a loveable environment from his parents. Joshua met Seokmin’s parents often through the years, at least once to twice in a few months. They are so kind towards him and the members, especially him.
Joshua doesn’t know what Seokmin says to his parents about him, but they always want him to come to their house in Yongin. He never gets a chance to visit Seokmin’s house other than his dormitory. Seokmin still lives with Junhui, Hansol, and Chan. It’s a cute combination, but when they want to be alone, Seokmin often visits Joshua’s apartment and they spend their time together.
“So, how long will this situationship last, hyung?” Another question thrown at him from Soonyoung’s mouth. Joshua sighs, closing his phone before turning to the younger man. “I don’t know. I’m trying to avoid him as much as I can,” Soonyoung frowns, “You’re literally hurting right now. You want to see him and look at him as just a mere younger brother again, but you can’t. Because you love him now.” Joshua shakes his head, “But he doesn't love me. Case clear, Kwon Soonyoung. We’re not going to talk about this again.”
The owner of the living room stands up from his seat. Taking the wine glasses and bringing it to the sink. Putting it under the shower of water, Joshua let out another sigh. He’s regretting in silence turning down Seokmin’s offer.
Seokmin is always kind and sincere to him, even before the situationship of the two of them started. Joshua needs to get a grip of himself. He’s falling deeper than expected, letting himself be played with the affection of one night loving each other everytime Seokmin dropped by. He knows Seokmin wasn’t intentional letting him feel loved in the midst of their hectic schedules, calming him down through sex and other feelings that he can’t get normally as an idol.
Joshua also needs to remember that they have their boundaries in their relationship. A rule that was meant to be broken from the start, but he still gave it a go because he believes that it’s the only thing that can make him hold Seokmin close to him. To be able to love Seokmin for a while in the midst of possible rejections it’s enough for him. Boy, was Joshua wrong to think that way.
Finished cleaning up the wine glasses, Joshua walks back to the living room only to find Soonyoung standing at the balcony. The sight startled him a bit. Feeling the wind breeze entering the living room, Joshua decides to join Soonyoung. Standing beside him as the view of Seoul night silently welcomed him again.
“There was a star passing by in the sky earlier, hyung,” Soonyoung tells him and Joshua replies without missing a beat, “Soonyoung, you’re the star.” The statement makes Soonyoung cringe a bit, but his heart swells with pride inside. “Did you wish for something then?” Joshua’s question gets an answer immediately from the younger one, “I wished to ask the future me if everything is going to be alright.” There’s a silence filling the two men standing in a balcony at the moment.
A split second passed, Joshua let out a loud laugh. His eyes squint close, he forgets that earlier he’s contemplating wanting to cry about his regret turning down Seokmin’s offer. But at the same time, he realized it’s been a long time for him to spend this kind of moment with Soonyoung. Sometimes he forgot that he’s in this industry with the people who’s now his family, not just business partners.
Soonyoung frowns, he’s upset but in a cute way. Lips pouting, cheeks puffing and it’s still red because of the wine earlier.
“Is that a bad thing?” Soonyoung asks again. Joshua shakes his head, squeezing the latter’s shoulder, “No, no. Not at all. It’s just –” exhaling a sigh for a second, “I know you need a reassurement, but trust me, everything is going to be alright. You’re not alone, Soonyoung. We’re going to be fine.” Soonyoung huffs out a sigh, deep down in his heart he also realizes something. “Will I remember all the things we talked about tomorrow, hyung?” Joshua closes his eyes and shakes his head again, “Absolutely not. But you can try though, the feeling lasts long in the morning.”
The statement is to close their time together tonight. Soonyoung took his sling bag and threw it past his shoulder. Giving Joshua another tight hug, whispering thank you under his breath after a few hours of them with the wine glass. There’s a big possibility for Soonyoung to forget what he said after tonight passed, but at least Joshua knows all the things he said were truly from the deepest part inside him.
After bidding each other goodbyes, Joshua takes a quick shower and changes his clothes to his usual pajamas. Taking his vacuum cleaner around the living room first before going to bed. His eyes immediately fall onto the photo frame which stands his group’s picture on their 7th year anniversary, 8th year in the industry. A lot of things have changed since then, for better and worse.
Joshua’s eyes soften seeing himself, a few months younger than now smiling at the camera. Tracing his finger to touch every member’s faces in the picture. Stopped at Seokmin’s bright smile, thinking of the scenarios of what could have been if they didn’t meet each other in this life. Will they be lovers somewhere? Far away from the public’s eyes at the same time be comfortably private to be loved by their families and friends?
“Yeah,” Joshua exhales, putting the frame back to its place, “We’re going to be alright.”
Morning has not always been hard for Joshua. Especially when he’s wrapped warmly under the thick blanket on his bed and knowing there’s no schedule for today. At least not in the morning, but it’s enough for him. Joshua shifts under the blanket, eyes blinking, opening slowly to look at the sight in front of him.
The color of the wall is slightly different and the lamp is dim. Joshua remembered he never had a dimmed light before going to sleep. It doesn’t hurt his eyes specifically, but it’s odd. Especially knowing that his lamp is not capable of being dimmed in the bedroom.
Before Joshua feels any further freaking out on what’s going on at the moment, he hears a rustling behind him. The next thing he knows is a pair of hands wrapped around his waist. What the fuck, Joshua immediately feel alarmed and stands up from his sleeping position. Turning around his body only to find a certain man he’s been avoiding sleeping on the same bed as him.
Seokmin is still snoring softly, his hand tapping on the pillow he probably think it’s Joshua. His toned skin shirtless is glowing even under the dimmed light in the bedroom they are currently in. Joshua pans his eyes on every spot in the room, this is not his bedroom. He looks down at the shirt he’s wearing, it’s a pajama that is the same with the one he owns, but it’s also different in many ways.
“Did he –” there’s no way, Seokmin won’t ever just barge into his apartment even when he knows the password. Joshua throws the thought out of the window and decides to walk out from the room. His steps were stopped when he found another person in the kitchen. “Oh, Shua hyung, you’re back already?” Joshua’s throat feels dry when he hears Seungkwan’s question. The younger man is taking a big bite from the apple he’s currently holding, leaning back to the kitchen counter as he looks from Joshua’s toe to his head, “Did something happen, hyung? Are you still jet lagged?” Joshua parts his mouth but nothing comes out from it, “I – uh, I just need to go to the bathroom.”
A lame excuse, to be frank. Because he himself doesn’t know where the fuck he is right now. The interior itself doesn’t scream that this apartment belongs to him. At least it’s different from the one he owns from last night, he literally slept in his apartment after spending time with Soonyoung a few hours ago.
Joshua slipped on his own feet and Seungkwan immediately got a grip on him. Holding on both of his sides firmly and Joshua realizes Seungkwan is slightly bigger than he ever remembered. His voice is also deeper, it’s like he aged or something. Joshua utters a quiet thank you before standing up by himself.
“What are you doing here?” Joshua decided to ask. Seungkwan’s eyes lit up and suddenly he’s back to the Boo Seungkwan that Joshua adores from his younger years. “Well, I have plans with Seokmin hyung! He gave me the password of his apartment and told me we’re going to pick you up in the airport. But you’re back already, he didn’t tell me anything. Did you have sex last night?” The question threw Joshua off guard. He didn’t intend to snap, but he does in the end, “What? No! No, I – we’re not together. Not like that, you know that, Kwan-ah.”
Before giving Seungkwan to speak his mind, Joshua excuses himself to the nearest bathroom he can find. Thankfully, he does find the bathroom. Any bathroom in every apartment in Seoul is not much different from what he has. Closing the door behind him, Joshua’s knees go weak and numb.
This better be a fucking dream, Joshua wishes to himself, I can’t do this. Not when he feels how warm it is to be wrapped around Seokmin’s arms on the bed earlier. It’s a feeling he had been longing for quiet some times. He doesn’t want to feel that again or else he’s going to feel comfortable, a scary feeling to have towards his younger member.
Joshua stands in front of a mirror in the bathroom. Letting his fingers touch his own cheek, there’s no significant difference. “What the hell is happening?” he asks himself, hands trembling quietly. Joshua lets the water sprayed on his face a few times, wishing he would wake up from this dream.
Finished washing his face for 10 times already, Joshua decides to get out of the bathroom. Walking back to where the living room is, Seungkwan sits on one of the high chairs in front of the kitchen’s counter. Joshua is trying to not look as confused as hell. But he’s probably failing successfully.
“Hyung, why are you so scared of me visiting your apartment?” Seungkwan asks. Joshua flinches, straightening up his posture. “I’m not. Who says I’m afraid?” Seungkwan points at himself, “I literally did.” Joshua sighs, he just needs to be himself, it’s just Seungkwan, “I’m sorry, I feel like I’m intruding someone’s life right now.”
Seungkwan makes a face, but he immediately gets distracted by the notification coming from his phone. Phone, Joshua remembers. He immediately rushes back to where the bedroom is, looking at Seokmin who’s now changing his sleeping direction, facing the door to where he walked in. Joshua mumbles quietly as he tries to find his phone.
There’s blinking light from the drawer that stands right beside where he slept earlier. His phone is laying down on top of the drawer, continuously blinking as it's bombarded by text notifications. Joshua fetches the phone, checking if it really belongs to him. Opening the password locka and when he succeeded, Joshua let out the first relief sigh of the day.
He really thought it’s going to get better from here. Boy, he’s so wrong for that, because what does it mean when you’re getting texts from a person who is supposed to be sleeping right in front of him?
seokmin: hyung
seokmin: hyung where are you
joshua: i dont know
joshua: fuck seokmin where are you
joshua: whats happening
seokmin: i dont know
seokmin: i woke up in a different place this is not my room
seokmin: hyung where are you
joshua: seokmin pls dont fucking playing with me right now
seokmin: what why are you thinking that way?
seokmin: hyung
seokmin: hyung who's with you now?
There’s a rustling sound coming from the bed. Seokmin is stirring in his sleep and Joshua knows for sure that this is not his Seokmin. His first instinct is to clutch his phone tight on his chest and run from the room. The sound of the closing door makes Seokmin’s eyes fly open on the bed.
Joshua needs to get out of here. This is not his apartment and that’s not his Seokmin. He’s still Seokmin, but at the time he’s not. Joshua’s breath keeps getting harsher, his vision is blurry and he doesn’t realize Seungkwan is approaching him slowly.
“Hyung? Hyung, are you alright?” Seungkwan’s voice is soft. Makes it difficult for him to think whether this is the Seungkwan he knows or not. “Seungkwan,” Joshua swallows, “Where’s Seungcheol?” his throat feels dry all of a sudden. Joshua was being dragged to sit on the sofa with Seungkwan brushing his shoulders softly, “It’s been a while since I talked to him. I think he’s still outside the country.”
“What do you mean it’s been a while since you talked to him?”
“Shua hyung.”
“What?”
Seungkwan’s gaze suddenly sharpened. It’s that kind of gaze when he’s currently interrogating someone. In an instant, Joshua realizes this is not Seungkwan that he knows. Maybe he is Seungkwan, but once again, he is not his Seungkwan.
The next thing he hears is Seungkwan chuckling to himself. Joshua looked at him with panic in his eyes. He’s still confused as hell on why he suddenly moved from his own apartment. To know the Seokmin sleeping on the bed is not his Seokmin at the same time is making his brain go haywire.
“Oh, I thought he was joking,” Seungkwan suddenly says. Joshua frowns, “What do you mean?” Seungkwan shrugs, resting his elbow on the back of the sofa, “You look younger, hyung. Also, you probably don’t know how old you are right now.” The statement gets even crazier each second, “What? What do you mean?” Seungkwan looked at him with a pity gaze. It is also hard for him to explain but it’s better to tell Joshua the truth because it’s messing with his mind.
Before Seungkwan gets the chance to explain, the sound of the door suddenly opens from behind them echoes in the room. Joshua turns his head to find Seokmin walking out from the bedroom. He’s wearing a plain white shirt and short pants. His bed hair is still sticking out, brushing his own fingers to put it down even when his eyes are not completely open yet.
The sight makes Joshua’s heart lurches even more. To know it’s not his Seokmin walking in front of him, but at the same time that man standing a few meters from where Joshua is sitting looks a lot like the man he’s been avoiding for months. Seokmin’s eyes wrinkles, brushing his eyes as he winces at the sunlight coming from the balcony. His skin is glowing under the sunlit skies and it hurts Joshua more from the inside.
“Oh, Kwan-ah,” Seokmin greets with his usual morning voice. Joshua swallows, looking at Seungkwan as he’s asking help from him. “Hyung, sorry that I just barged into your house. You didn’t tell me that Shua hyung had already arrived last night,” Seokmin is standing behind the sofa right now, one of his hands resting comfortably inside the pants pocket. The man only shrugs, “I also didn’t know about it. But he was sleeping so deep last night that I didn’t dare to wake him up only to ask about the flight schedule,” and he looks down to Joshua who sits on the sofa, flashes a soft smile at him, “But at least you’re here now,” slowly bending his body only to peck Joshua’s lips, “I miss you so much, baby.”
The kiss is Joshua’s last straw. He doesn’t mean to push Seokmin away in the middle of pecking his lips, but he needs to do it either way. Seokmin’s eyes widened in shock, panic plastered on his face. Joshua walks backwards a few steps from where the younger men are
Seungkwan’s trying to calm him down, “Hyung, I’m sorry but you need to calm down.” Joshua shakes his head, tears brimming in his eyes, “No, no, I can’t. I don’t belong here, so please, please help me to go home right now.” Seokmin frowns, “Hyung, what do you mean? This is our house.” Before Seokmin utters another word, his eyes fall onto Joshua’s fingers, “Hyung,” he calls out to Joshua again, “Where’s your ring?” the question makes Joshua look down to his own fingers, “The team’s ring? I only have the team’s ring for the rest of my life.”
Then, it’s his turn to look at Seokmin’s fingers. There’s no Seventeen ring wrapped around one of his fingers, but one wedding band rests comfortably on his slender finger. Joshua’s heart lurches more to find the sight in front of him. There’s no way this is happening right now.
Seokmin turns to Seungkwan, “What the fuck is happening, Seungkwan?” Joshua is even more surprised to hear a curse word coming from Seokmin’s mouth. “I don’t know exactly what’s happening, hyung. But maybe your Joshua is still in America. This –” Seungkwan points at Joshua, “This is not your fiancé. You may ask him what year it is now.” Seokmin is now turning his head towards Joshua, he’s contemplating whether to ask the question to the older man in front of him right now. “Whoever you are,” Joshua’s tears fall on his cheek, it stings him a bit to know the man in front of him is not his Seokmin, “What year is it now?” Seokmin’s voice cracks halfway and Joshua tries to answer with a firm tone, “The end of 2022.”
The answer gets Seokmin and Seungkwan to part their mouths open. Seokmin curses under his breath and Seungkwan immediately gets up from the sofa.
“Hyung, I think you really need help.”
“What? What year is it now?”
“This year? It’s 2035, hyung.”
2035 is not a real combination of numbers. The last thing Joshua remembered was him practicing with his members in their practice room. He’s still pushing 30 years old, getting teased left and right by his members, even he himself teases Seungcheol and Jeonghan about the fact they’re getting old. Joshua’s eyes slowly pans to Seokmin again who’s now having the same mental breakdown as him.
When Seokmin turns around again, his eyes are blotchy red. He’s crying and it’s the last thing Joshua would’ve done to him. But all of this is beyond his control, Joshua doesn’t even know how he ends up getting time travel to almost 10 years from where he was last night. The distinct memories from last night are still foggy in his mind, he only remembers he spent the time with Soonyoung and turned down Seokmin’s offer to send him food.
“That’s why I asked where Seungcheol is. I need to see him,” Joshua tells Seungkwan, “Seungcheol and Jeonghan. I need to see them first.” Seungkwan turns to look at Seokmin but the man is currently incapable of saying anything regarding this. Joshua’s phone buzzes in notification again, it’s not Seokmin this time. His hand is trembling as he holds the phone in his grip, but Seungkwan wraps his hand around Joshua’s wrist, “Who is it, hyung?” thinking that Seungkwan hasn’t changed in 10 years does something for Joshua, “It’s Chan.”
The mention of the youngest member does something to Seungkwan’s face. He lets Joshua answer the call in the end. Joshua pushes the green button, changing the screen to zooming on Chan’s picture he sets for his profile picture. He’s hesitant at first, but listening to Chan’s same voice suddenly rings into his ears eases him up a little bit.
“Shua hyung?” Chan’s voice wavers a bit, he’s also panicking. Joshua calms himself for a bit, he shouldn’t feel panic when another member younger than him feels the same way; it will just clash and nothing is going to sort out to resolve it. “Hey, Chan-ah. Where are you? Are you alone?” Joshua asks with his soft tone, “No, no, I’m not alone, but I’m not in my house either, hyung. I tried to text other members but they’re not picking up. Where are you, hyung?” Chan’s voice is low, it’s like he’s hiding from someone. Joshua inhales a breath, “I’m at an apartment and I’m not alone too. Are you with the members?” Chan is hesitant to answer, “I’m with the members, Hansol hyung. But he’s not –” there’s a pause mid sentence, “He’s not like our Hansol hyung.”
Joshua’s gaze pans to the other two men in the room. Seokmin is talking with Seungkwan and his face is unrecognizable. He feels so distant from Joshua right now. The wedding band around his fingers still stings for his heart, are they really working for their relationship? Does this mean something will change in his life because he suddenly time traveled 10 years to the future?
“Chan-ah, listen to me,” Chan is listening closely, “We’re not in the year where we were, okay? I know this sounds insane, but we’re time traveling 10 years to the future. You’re not alone, Seokmin is also going through the same shit but I don’t know where he is right now and I don’t know how the other members are doing.” Even without Joshua looking, he knows Chan is nodding his head right now. “Okay, I’ll try to contact the others too. But hyung, we need to talk about this too. We need to go back,” Chan’s voice sounds desperate, “I want to go home.” Joshua exhales sharply, holding the phone close to him, “I know, Chan-ah. We’re going home after all of this ends.”
The reason is still blurry on how he woke up and it’s 10 years later from where he was last night. If all of this is a dream, it’s fucking him up and Joshua may or may not never want to sleep again. Alas, it’s not a dream at all. There must be a big reason why he ends up being here.
His gaze meets Seokmin’s halfway. Seokmin still looked gorgeous even after he cried and Joshua just wanted to wipe all of the tear stains on his cheeks with his palm. But it doesn’t work like that, even in this lifetime. Seokmin inhales softly before walking closer to where Joshua is standing.
“Your Seokmin is with Seungcheol hyung,” Seokmin tells him, “You must be confused this morning, I apologize, hyung. I didn’t mean to make you feel weird about this. From the year where you came from, we were still not together, right?” Joshua’s mouth hangs partly, “I – please, don’t say anything regarding that. I just want to see my members.” Seokmin’s mouth parts open and shuts in a split second, “Okay, we’re going to see the others.” As he turns around, Seokmin shoots a quick glance towards Seungkwan, “You might start texting the other guys again, Kwan-ah. It’s been so long since we gathered together.” Seungkwan’s lips curls a smile, but it doesn’t reach his eyes, “Something is really happening then.”
Joshua’s eyes land on a picture frame resting on one of the drawers in the living room. There are no Seventeen family pictures in sight.
