Chapter Text
Saym was just getting everything prepared in the S.S. Beagle, when the warning call sounded. Sirens blare throughout the whole facility, as she races to the entrance. Meeting Saym at the entrance, was the International Rescue Corporations guide. "I got here as soon as I could... Is there anything I can do to help?" she spoke, huffing after every sentence.
"Well, there is, you will be sent on your first mission sooner than we thought! we've just gotten a message back from the rescue corps on S.S. Shepard, they've made a crash landing on the planet while on the search for Captain Olimar." the guide answered, as they rushed back to the ship Saym was just working at.
"Well. we've sent you the location, and you should be just about all set! Though, I must ask, are you sure you're ready for this, Ma'am? This is quite a handful for a first mission," Saym, already setting the controls to start, assured the guide, ,
"Yes sir! I'm ready for the first mission, I need to do this," The guide just nodded, then saluted as the doors opened and S.S. Beagle was sent out into orbit.
The trip went pretty smooth, the occasional reroute due to asteroids didn't seem to bother Saym too much. As PNF-404 was getting closer, Saym suddenly felt the ship speed up earlier than it was meant to.
With quick thinking, she quickly switched the gears into "manual landing" and pulled the ship back some, slowing down the speed. This bought time long enough to get the ship into orbit like it was supposed to.
With the planet's large size, finding the targeted location wasn't such an easy task. Though with a bit of back and forth on the map, and a lot of patients, Saym managed to locate where the signal was from, and a plausible landing spot.
The planet's magnetic force had a much stronger pull than anything she had felt before, once again pulling the gears to manual, and dragging the ship as it barreled towards the landing spot. Just in time, it slowed down enough to make a pretty smooth landing, as the sounds of the beagle slowed down to a stop.
Putting the ship in a stationary mode, Saym let out a small sigh, "what a landing, no wonder so many people have crashed here..." As she pressed open the door of the Beagle and jumped out onto the ground.
The area was very lush and full of a variety of plant life. Though, to her surprise, it seemed to create a little path. Weary of her surroundings, she continued to walk forward, looking out for anyone or anything that could be there.
Suddenly coming to a halt, she noticed a yellow and orange creature in the path, almost looked like... A dog? Still weary of the animal in the path, she crept closer to get a better look. In an instant, the dog bounced up, staring directly at Saym as she froze in place once again.
She whistled out, "hey buddy, you okay?" as the little dog came barreling towards her, looking happier than ever. Saym leaned down a bit and looked at the dog's collar, when she saw the rescue corps logo on the front, along with the quick description; 'Oatchi, Rescue Pup'.
"Oh! you're a part of the rescue team, aren't you?" She patted him on the head, as she got back up and began to lead Oatchi with her down the path. As they walked, she noticed what looked like a giant flowerpot with an equally massive plant sticking out of it. "Shit. I don't see any way around it, and it seems too loose for me to even attempt to climb." as she was pondering, Oatchi latched onto the stem of the plant, and began pulling.
Saym quickly took note of this and began pulling alongside him. With their team effort, they managed to get the plant out from what she originally thought was a pot, crumble down, clearing the way enough to see someone laying on the ground ahead of them. "There! This is where the signal is coming from! I wonder if anyone else is around here..." She spoke, rushing to the person's side, Oatchi following quickly beside her.
With little time to think, she quickly glanced to see if there were any clear signs of cracks or tears on the suit. Oatchi, realizing who it was, quickly began barking, and nuzzled into their shoulder until they woke up, "Huh? Oatchi, is that you?" They slowly sat up, looking to see who all was around.
"Sir... Are you alright?" Saym questioned, as she held out her hand. "Oh! the station got our call quicker than I thought, thank you for the help-" Collin paused. It took him a minute to recognize just who he was speaking with. "Ah, our latest recruit- Saym, wasn't it?" Saym was pretty shocked he was so talkative all of a sudden, she just simply nodded to his response.
"Oh, my apologies- I should introduce myself. My name is Collin, the Communications operator for the rescue corps."
"Well, it's great to finally meet you in person... Are you alright?" as Saym stated the usual questions, they started to walk forward.
"Yes, I'm alright, though, my path was cut off by a small landslide, unsure of how long it'd be until someone arrived, I decided to try and preserve energy-" Saym shuttered at the mention of a 'landslide' but tried not to let her response be noticed.
"As I mentioned earlier, I was the one who sent out the rescue signal, though the rest of our crew..." he sighed, "we were on a mission to rescue Captain Olimar, who had crashed here, but when we were attempting to land, the ship had a rough time with the planet's atmosphere and had to make an emergency ejection. Which was when we were all separated..."
Collin continued his speech on the whole situation, as the three of them continued forward. in the distance, the S.S. Shepard was just in view, though it was blocked by foliage and another large drop.
"There it is! the S.S. Shepard is just over there... Though we won't be able to get over there from here, we have to find another way around." As they continued the path, the trio noticed what looked like some kind of cave entrance up ahead, though again, that path was blocked by foliage too thick to climb through.
As they came to the end of the path, something caught Saym's eye, there was a blue object buried under some soil, almost looked like some kind of bunker entrance cover,
"Hey, I think we've found our entrance, or at the very least, something useful," Saym mentioned, trying to sound confident, despite still being extremely weary. She began trying to uncover the object, when Oatchi began to dig as well, Saym backed away, so as not to be buried by the excited pup.
Once the entrance was uncovered, Collin and Saym both glanced down the hole. "I wonder if these two connect underground... well, I guess we just have to dive right in and find out." Collin observed. "Well, let's go then!" Saym responded, already jumping over, the two following directly behind.
The fall surprisingly didn't take as long as they thought, landing on equally shocking semi-soft ground.
Quickly collecting themselves, the trio scanned the area for anything they would need to look for. Oatchi, sniffing out for any form of clues, picked up on a scent, barking to alert the others of what was picked up.
"Oh! have you found something Oatchi? lead the way, buddy," Saym said.
The two followed Oatchi along as he sniffed out the path, they came across a larger part of the cave. looking ahead, they noticed a large wooden structure, with strange, large larvae circling it.
Looking up, they noticed someone who had climbed up the structure. Collin seemed to have noticed who it was right away, "Captain, are you alright?" Collin called out, while Saym ran towards the scene with Oatchi.
Quickly making work, Oatchi charged one of the Larvae, chomping at another directly in front of it. Saym grabbed the last one Oatchi managed to accidentally miss, crushing it against the large wooden pole.
"Captain! Are you okay? We've gotten the creatures; do you need help getting down?" Saym called out.
The captain responded back, her voice quivering, "I'm alright, thank goodness you got here when you did.... my arms felt numb from how long I was holding on..."
Saym slowly backed away, letting Captain have her space to get down. She slowly slid herself down, right before accidentally letting go just a bit away from the ground. Collin rushed over, while Saym was helping Captain get back to her feet again.
"Collin! What's your status?" she questioned, as if she was the one who found them, not the other way around.
Collin sighed, "Shouldn't we be asking you that question? I'm just relieved to see that you're okay."
Captain then turned back to the rookie, who had been quickly checking on Oatchi, and congratulating him for his quick acting,
"I see you two have made a great team, I'm shocked he took to you so quickly!" Collin chuckled at the comment, "To be honest, I thought the same. He's only really listened to you, Captain."
Saym turned with a bit of shock, "Oh? Well, I do have quite a bit of experience working with different animals... He's been very helpful working with us along the way."
The captain just smiled, "Well, it's great to finally get to meet you in person, Saym, wasn't it? -Ah, I guess I should introduce myself formally, shouldn't I? I'm Captain Shepard, Leader of the Rescue Corps." She held her hand out and shook hands with Saym.
"Well, how did you end up down here, Captain?" Saym questioned, glancing around the cave once again to make sure nothing else was lurking around the area. "Well, I found a large cave entrance when I went out to see if anyone had landed nearby, as I peered down, I lost balance and fell in."
She looked towards another path that led to a large light spot shining through the system, "Over there? isn't that the entrance we saw earlier?" Collin asked Saym, who seemed to be thinking the same thing.
"I guess there is one way to find out," Saym responded, as she'd already started marching along. They stook close together, looking out for anything lurking as they traveled for the short distance.
As they came to the stop, they looked up, and Collin made the comment, "How are we going to get up there? It seems too far up to just climb." Saym slowly stepped closer to the entrance, noticing what looked like a fan system on the ground. She quickly gestured to the three to come with her, as they all stepped in the middle of the entrance tunnel.
In an instant, the fan started to whirl, and they were slowly lifted up. Though this sudden movement caused a bit of commotion, the party made it up safely together.
After landing, Shepard quickly turned to Saym, who seemed just as shocked as the rest of the party,
"Uhm, excuse me, Saym... I would suggest being a bit more cautious when encountering something unfamiliar like that... Maybe don't just... walk up to it like that?"
Just collecting herself, Saym just manages to stammer out, "R-right, my apologies, Captain." then sheepishly looks away,
" Though I agree, I do have to say, your actions did get us out of there safe." Collin stated.
" Well, either way, here's the S.S. Shepard-" Captain began to introduce the ship, but both of them turned to see a shocking result, the S.S. Shepard had started flowing with smoke.
Collin quickly ran towards the ship, reaching for a small emergency toolbox in his bag. "Should we run after and help?" Saym questioned, slowly scanning the area for anything. Shepard noticed her sheepishness, and responded reassuringly, "Well, Collin is great when it comes to things like this, though maybe we should stand by, just in case."
They both nod and start to head towards the ship. While walking over, they both noticed a ring of rocks located nearby.
"Huh, this looks pretty similar to a landing spot, don't you think? Maybe I can call the S.S. Beagle over here." Saym quickly looked down at the ship's call button, located on the tablet she had been given before leaving.
Right when she pressed the button, the Beagle whirled to life, and swiftly made its way over to their location. When the ship stationed itself, Collin popped back out from the S.S. Shepard, which had finally stopped smoking.
Captain was the first to notice his approach, "Collin! Did you figure out what was going on with the S.S. Shepard?"
out of breath, he answered, "Well, when I got to the source of the problem, I figured out the ship had started overheating. Luckily I was able to turn off the ships power, but it seemed to have run out of fuel."
Saym looked at him in shock, "Ran out of fuel? Do you think there would be any way to find some around here?"
Shepard responded confidently, "Well, it'd be the only way. besides, before I found that cave over there, I did happen to see on the map that there were signs of sparklium! I know Collin here mentioned the ship can use it to run, it'd just run a bit more janky than usual. "
Collin looked back at Captain Shepard, both shocked and relieved that someone had remembered a bit from his rambles about the ship, "Yes, Captains right! Do you remember where you've seen these objects though?"
Saym, who had already pulled up the map, noticed what Captain was speaking of. "Not exactly, but I'm sure it won't be too difficult to find, since I know it's in this area for sure."
Sheppard glanced over at the rookie, who had already started using the map to locate the source.
"Or maybe our ranger has an idea?" Saym just slightly giggles and leads the group over to the source located on the map.
"Maybe this is it? it seems likely, since it's so glittery," Saym mentioned as she began to once again try digging at the object, just to have Oatchi take over completely. While Saym backed away again, Collin couldn't help but chuckle a little,
"Maybe you should just let Oatchi take the digging, eh? Don't need him to have to re-dig you out as well,"
Oatchi completed digging up the glittery object, as it slowly plopped itself onto the ground. The team all decided to help carry the object to the S.S. Beagle, which would help transfer the sparklium to the S.S. Shepherd.
They placed the item under the door to the Beagle, and it was quickly swept up into the system, shrinking the object as it began transforming the sparklium into the energy needed for the S.S. Shepherd. While Collin and Shepherd were busy figuring out how much they'd need to get the ship up and running again, something caught Saym's eye.
A red, plant looking object was half buried in the ground. Curiously, she called Oatchi and the rest of the crew to the strange object, as Oatchi once again started to dig the object out of the ground.
Saym seemed puzzled by the object, "Well, I know it isn't glittery like what we're looking for, but I can't help but wonder if it could be something useful to us out here." Saym explained to the team, as Oatchi began to drag the onion-shaped plant to the S.S. Beagle.
Right before Oatchi could finish dragging it to the Beagle, it rolled itself right next to the larger ring of rocks, lifting itself up in the air and sprouting legs to stand high up in the air.
"Woah! I wasn't quite sure what I was expecting, but It definitely wasn't this." The team marveled at the tall plant as a little seedling plopped itself out from the top, and slowly landed under it.
Finally, Collin spoke up, "I wonder if this is the 'onion' Captain Olimar spoke about in some of his logs? I remember he also wrote about some creatures he called 'Pikmin'... But I haven't seen any yet."
Saym slowly crept towards the plant that sprouted out of the ground and grabbed it by the stem. Pulling the plant out of the ground, a little red creature flung itself from where it was plucked.
It seemed to immediately attach itself to Saym, squeaking and babbling with joy as it ran beside the rookie, who was both shocked and equally frightened by it. "It says here that they're safe, in fact, they are pretty helpful creatures!"
Collin reassured the team. Though, only Saym seemed to be really comforted by the comment.
"Did the logs ever mention what they help with, and Is there any way to find more of them?" Saym questioned, as Collin looked back through the logs.
"Let's see... It says they are extremely loyal creatures; they enjoy carrying items, and will fight creatures for you when commanded..."
Collin looked around the site they'd landed at, "It also says there are pellets you can use to get more of them, they grow off of tall flowers, such as that one over there!"
he pointed at a tall looking plant with a large center, marked with what looked like the number one. Saym walked up to the flower, the Pikmin following right behind.
"Well, I'm not sure how much you can do from the ground, buddy..." Saym looked down at the little red Pikmin, who tilted its head while staring right back at her. "Let's see.. Maybe I can help by tossing you up there?" She held out her hand to see if the pikmin was okay with this idea,
"wuh!" the Pikmin squealed, as it lifted its little hands up, like a small child asking to be held.
"Okay buddy, here we go," She scooped up the Pikmin, and tossed it up to the flower. The pellet fell from the flower immediately, the Pikmin scurrying to lift it up after it hit the ground.
It dragged the pellet to the onion, which quickly sucked up the pellet, and started producing another sprout.
"There are flowers like these all over the base area," Saym said, while plucking the newly sprouted Pikmin out of the ground. "maybe they can help grab some of the more larger objects around here."
They went around collecting pellets, and a total of 13 Pikmin had now been added to their group. Saym looked back at the map,
"It says there is another object over here," They came to see a large glittery object on top of what looked like a blue container.
"it looks a bit too tall to throw them up, how are we going to get it down?" Collin questioned, as the team looked up at the object.
"Maybe Oatchi could rush it, to nock it forward?" Shepherd answered, though she seemed just as confused.
Saym called Oatchi to rush the blue container, and he pushed it close enough for it to start to slowly fall. The team backed away quickly so as not to be squished by the falling device.
The Pikmin quickly swarmed the object, with both Oatchi and Saym quickly grabbing on to help carry the object along with them. After getting the item to the Beagle, and checking how much they needed left, the team made quick work of scouting the area for the last piece of treasure, so they could have enough Sparklium to at least get the ship up and running again.
As the S.S. Beagle and S.S. Shepherd transferred the sparklium obtained from the treasures found, the Shepherd finally bursted back to life, standing itself back into its normal idle position, and lights flickering from inside and outside the ship.
The captain herself seemed to stand taller, "Now this is the S.S. Shepherd. The ship our team and I use during our rescue missions."
She proudly spoke of the ship. "Just in time, too... Looks like nightfall is upon us," pointed out Collin, "But what about the Pikmin? they surely can't stay outside, but I'm not sure how Captain feels about bringing them along with us..."
Without a word, Saym wanders back to the onion, looking to see if there is any way the Pikmin could once again use it. She looks at one of them,
"beh?" it babbles, pointing to the opening under the onion.
"Well, as long as you all are safe, that's all that matters. Go on and head out for tonight, and thank you for all the help." Saym spoke softly to the Pikmin, who all made little squeaks and squeals as they climbed up the vines into the onion once again...
All except one, who had managed to climb itself onto the back of and into Saym's bag while she was distracted with the others.
Running back to join the others, they all made their way back onto the ship. Shepherd flipped the switch for the ship to lock the doors air-tight, before opening the 2nd entrance to the main room, already making a mental note of everything she needed to do before closing up for the night.
"Collin, could you check stock to make sure nothing was damaged, and to see if we'll have enough to stay out here for a while? I'll be showing Saym around the ship." she asks, as they all walk into the main room.
"Copy that," and he was off in the opposite direction, heading to the main storage to take note.
Captain turns back to Saym, and leads her around the ship,
"Well, now that we have everything settled... The S.S. Beagle should have gotten the things you'd brought with you automatically transferred to your assigned room. So, the most you really have to do is get everything settled."
She stopped at the entrance of a long corridor, with doors that looked endless. "This is where all of the rooms are! Of course, luckily our main rooms are located in the front. They are all marked with the rescue corps logo plus the room number."
She looks down at a little notebook with a bunch of different things written down.
"Lets see, oh! Simple enough, we've been told you'll be moving into room 07." Shepherd took a quick glance around the long hallway,
"The rooms located over here!"
She leads Saym over to the door, and pulls a little folded note off the door. "Here is the guest room code, though now that you are permanently joining us, you can change the code as soon as you're done setting up."
Saym looks at the note handed to her, the code '2407' written neatly in the middle.
"Thank you for showing me around, is there anything you need me to do?" Saym asks, while slightly fidgeting with the note.
Captain just smiles, "Currently, other than getting all of the stuff set up, there isn't anything you need to do. feel free to join us back in the meeting room once you're done." Saym starts entering the code to the room,
"Copy that. Thank you again," and she entered the room.
To Saym's surprise, the room seemed a bit larger than she'd expected, the transfer had placed all the bags in a neat pile in the middle of the room, a dresser located against the wall adjacent to the entrance with a door to the back, a little desk next to the door and a small bunk bed sitting against the wall, a fair bit away from the desk.
"Well, this much more... fancier than I imagined. Not that it's bad, I just wasn't expecting this." Saym Sighed, unhooked her helmet, and began getting everything where it needed to be.
Once done, she went back to the little dresser, and pulled out a pair of clothes, a simple muted-purple hoodie with simple, black dress pants. Before heading inside the smaller room to change, she placed the bag under the little desk, then went inside to quickly get changed.
While she was away, the little Pikmin broke free from her bag, and sat itself behind the bag, just out of sight. Coming out of the room, Saym quickly took another look around the room before going to grab her bag, when she noticed it had been opened.
"Oh? I don't remember needing to grab anything beforehand, maybe I was planning to put away some of the extra equipment...?"
She slowly picked up the bag, when out came the little Pikmin, it seemed startled that it had been caught, babbling as if it were trying to explain itself.
"oh! hey, hey, it's okay!"
Saym spoke softly to the Pikmin, trying to calm it down.
"Maybe that's why my bag had been opened... Did you sneak into my bag while the others went into the onion?"
She kneeled down to be closer to the Pikmins height.
"Wehh..." The Pikmin looked down, its leaf drooping in the process.
"Hey, it's okay, I'm not upset, I was just making sure you're okay." the Pikmin looked up towards her, its head tilted.
"You can stay here... just make sure you stay with the other next time, okay?" she patted the little Pikmin on the head, and it seemed to be a bit calmer.
Saym scooped up the Pikmin and placed it on the chair.
"Stay in here... I'll try and see if I can bring anything back for you." She quickly put on a pair of black boots that were lying next to the dresser and left the room.
"Before I head down..." She turned to the door code, and a new message appeared.
'Please enter a new code.'
"Ah, simpler than I thought." She pulled out a little notepad, "let's see..."
Writing down the numbers '4382', then entering the code into the door lock.
It made a little beeping noise, and then the message disappeared, re-locking the door.
"There we go, I think that's all set." She started to head back to meet up with the rest of the team.
Meeting Shepherd, Collin and Oatchi in the meeting room, it wasn't small, but pretty compact.
A long rectangular table in the center of the room with 7 chairs around it, but obvious space for more if needed. There was a little corridor leading to a fancy kitchen / workers lounge, and a file cabinet in the corner.
Saym sat down with the two, looking around the room slightly to get a quick note of her surroundings.
"Glad you were able to come join us, I was just about to stop by right quick to make sure you didn't get lost," Shepherd teased.
Saym slightly giggled at her comment, "Yeah, I didn't think that I'd brought that much, though it must have been the weighted blankets that made moving stuff a bit more difficult." She started to fidget through her bag, grabbing her own notebook, a sketchbook, and pencil out from it.
"I'm just glad we were able to get to this point, I wasn't sure what to expect when I first got that call." her voice seemed to go from playful to sorrow, as she flipped open the sketchbook, looking at previous sketches.
"I'm glad as well, but I have hope that we'll be able to get everyone back together, and get this mission back on its course." Shepherd said with confidence, also glancing over at a few of the sketches.
While they continued to chat, Collin appeared from the corridor, carrying a small container of rations.
"Shouldn't you two grab something for yourselves as well? We have a long day ahead of ourselves, you know."
He sat down with the two, who had both looked towards his direction as he announced himself.
"As I was telling the rookie, I was just about to go check in real quick before grabbing something, but thank you for the reminder." Shepherd responded, standing up and leading the two of them into the staff lounge area.
"Oh, just so you know, this is where we keep our main supplies. Of course, this isn't all of our rations, but most of those are located in storage, just for better management."
She grabbed down two containers, and handed one to Saym.
"Normally they come in containers such as these, unless it's something that is specifically made for someone, which then they're marked differently." She closed the door to the fridge, and grabbed a container of water she'd left sitting on the counter earlier.
They both walked back to the table where they were sitting, the three of them striking conversation as they ate.
Mostly talking about previous jobs they had, before they joined the rescue corp. They had well finished eating before the two managed to get through their stories, but still hung out to chat before heading out for the night.
"Well, I know Captain and I have both told our stories about the jobs we used to have, but what about yourself? I know you'd mentioned you had experience working with different animals." Collin questioned,
" Well, I only really had one job before coming here. It was actually a ferret Cafe! They had an area where you could order drinks, but mostly people came to see or adopt the ferrets. We had a large room towards the back for them, just to keep them separated from where we were taking orders and such."
She flipped back through her sketchbook and landed on a page with a bunch of drawings and photos of the different ferrets.
"We were given these photos whenever a new one came in, and since I was often the one checking in or taking care of them, I had the time to make little doodles of them while watching over."
"Oh huh, that's really interesting! What was the care like?" Shepherd asked, showing interest in learning about the way the place worked, while Collin just listened in, nodding every once in a while.
"Oh, for the most part, care wasn't all that bad. Of course, we had to keep an eye out for certain ones, since they seemed a bit more scared than the others, but mostly it was making sure they didn't get hurt, or accidently hurt someone else while playing. Though... The worst bit had to be when it came to feeding them... We had around 20 to 40 of them at a time, and with the size differences and behavior differences... It took a while to get everyone together. But, it was worth it. Just from the 6 years I was there alone, I think we had at least 600 adoptions, probably more. I enjoyed working there a lot, which was why I ended up sticking around an extra year or two."
She slowly placed the sketch book back on the table, then made sure it was completely fastened close. Finally, Collin struck with his own question,
"If you were enjoying the job so much, what made you want to switch here?" Saym seemed shocked by the question, and slightly puffed up.
"Well... A few things happened while I was there... and I uh-" She paused, fidgeting with the fasteners to the sketchbook.
"I had to be let go, for my own safety... Though, maybe now isn't really the time for that whole story, it's quite a long one."
She seemed to be pushing around the subject, while grabbing the two items she had left on the table and placing them in her bag, while placing the pencil into the pocket of her hoodie.
"Oh, well... It is getting late, and I'm sure tomorrow's going to be a long one." Collin seemed to notice the change in response, not wanting to push the conversation any further he decided to let everyone end it off there.
"Yes, we should have everything ready to start exploring tomorrow! The power used in the S.S. Shepherd was enough to let us use our signal to locate any SOS signals in the area, and it seemed to pick up quite a few!" Shepherd announced.
"Well, let's go ahead and head back for the night. You have your alarm set properly, correct?" Saym answered back,
" was it supposed to be set for early morning? if so, then I think I've gotten it."
Shepherd nods, then they all start to head back, Oatchi, who decided to lay down outside the door, met them and trotted behind.
They all said their goodnight's and headed in for the night.
Saym noticed the little Pikmin had climbed down from the chair and ran up to her as soon as the door closed.
"Don't worry, I didn't forget about you." she spoke in the same soft voice she used before, and quickly grabbed a piece of fruit she'd saved in a small plastic cup with a lid.
She opened the small container, kneeling down to hand it to the Pikmin.
"ooo?" it hummed, and held the cup in its hands, before taking the fruit straight out of the cup.
In an instant, the leaf that was once on the head of the Pikmin bloomed.
A beautiful, 5 petaled, white flower had replaced the normal green leaf, as the Pikmin placed the cup back down.
Its movements seemed faster, as it sprinted across the room, and attempted to make itself comfortable in the stack of bags left under the desk. Saym grabbed the cup off the ground and placed the lid back on it.
"Let me see what I can do really quick." She stepped into the bathroom for a second to throw away the cup, then went back and grabbed the extra pillow that had been left in the top bunk.
"Here, let me make a little spot for you," She moved the chair out of the way, as the Pikmin moved as well.
She used the larger duffle bag to create a makeshift dog bed, then used another one of the guest pillow's cases, to try and make a little blanket.
"I don't know what you'd want... but this is the best I can do." she gestured to the Pikmin to head back, and it squealed as it went back to snuggle in.
Saym Sighed and went back to take care of a few more things before heading to bed. She set the alarm next to the bed, as the desk had already been cluttered with notebooks and things before, she'd left.
Laying down, she stared up at the bottom of the bunk above her.
"It'll be a new day; I have faith that this will go well... I hope." She thought, as letting her mind wonder was the only thing she could really do, before falling asleep.
