You dance to the sound of my melody

Summary:

Their teams are rivals, but that didn't stop the secretive leader of BOLAS and the star ballet dancer of Soul Fire from having something more than friendship or rivalry as expected. Is it a secret relationship the two have? Or actually, it's not even that secret.

- Hey! There's Apple boy and Philza.
- ¿Ellos siguen creyendo que son disimulados?
- Solo le están jugando a la mamada, nos creen pendejos

Work Text:

The atmosphere in the bar was lively, that night was the second phase of the band contest, where BOLAS was performing in a versus against Soul Fire. Who had a great fan base, since they were a group of young prodigies in the performing arts.

Theater? They will be involved. Music? Their band was really popular, not as formal as the other talents, but their new group's skill was also noteworthy. Dance? Most notably their ballet group, but it was no surprise that they excelled in any style.

For a group like BOLAS, it was an honor to have reached the second phase of the 'Copacabana Battle' against such a group, although Phil - leader of the red group and lead guitarist - had to admit that he felt some tension coming from the bass player of the blue group, for as he introduced himself and his group to the others, a fake smile could be seen after shaking their hands.

His hands ran along the strings of his guitar, the fluorescent lights of the establishment reflected on his face and that of his companions, Jaiden's voice projected with feeling the lyrics of the song they had chosen, a catchy rock of an Italian group -being this a cover- accompanied the rest of them, Foolish on drums and backing vocals, Cellbit on piano to accompany those soft chords that inked the song and could not forget Carre and him, the bass and the electric guitar made a good combination provoking the greatest sensations in the audience. The electricity he felt in his being was indescribable, his voice accompanied the chorus and could be distinguished by the volume of voice he used and the electric chords that accompanied it.

The Foolish solo came and with it a last chord to end their presentation, the applause was not made of waiting and the classic cheering of "BOLAS, BOLAS, BALAS" came as an accompaniment, it was there where even with their breaths altered by the effort to play, the owner of the bar and organizer of the event, Maximus took the stage.

-Excellent team BALLS! -He congratulated them through the microphone, while he went up to the stage with a jet -haired man where they presented themselves- The public loves them, they ask for one more!

The audience exclaimed and that made their chests swell with pride.

-They had a good presentation, but...! -the man with the bandana let out a couple of laughs with his companion- go tell them who's next Vegetoide.

-Their rival team, SOUL FIRE, is about to perform so come on down the sidelines and give BALLS a big shout out for the great show they put on for us! -applauded the bigmuscled man.

With a final applause, his team grabbed their instruments and left the stage in good condition for their opponents. They were waiting for them to vacate their places.

-Good luck Tubbo -I murmured as I walked past him.

The shorter one turned his body a little and with a smile exclaimed a "Thank you, Man!" to the blond who spoke to him.

-I can't be more surprised to believe that this guy is the leader of the band -spoke a blonde girl- I think it is even more surprising to believe that he is one of the three leaders of all Soul Fire.

-You are underestimating Tubbo's abilities a little bit, he is a great leader and his skillful creativity has taken him to where he is -Philza took the bottle of water that was offered to her and stretched her wings a little bit, she could feel them a little heavy, probably because of the sweat- Pol saw a lot in him and made him one of her close ones, no surprise.

-Well... it must be true, I mean it's the group of child prodigies anyway, there must be some truth to it.

The rest of his companions nodded giving some reason to the french woman, he for his part did not want to say anything, he was just indifferent to what he heard. His body still felt the adrenaline and ecstasy of the stage, he grabbed his water bottle and drank from it in one sip.

-I'm going to get some air, I'll be back in a few moments -as I finish the last drop of the bottle, I crush it carefully to put it in the nearest trash can.

-Okay, here -Cellbit took the green kimono that rested next to him and threw it to the blond- you might get cold with a warm body, at least put on your weird coat.

-We'll order something to eat between all of us until the show is over and it's time to announce the winners- announced the brown-haired boy- we'll save you a couple of wings Phil.

With a tilted smile on his face, Philza nodded and left the table where his entire group was. He checked his phone finding a couple of messages, looked at the time and mentally calculated his time, left the establishment, taking a cab from outside the bar.

-To the Great Central Theater of Quesadilla Island, please -he asked the driver, who nodded to signify that he would take him.

"I will arrive for the final act most likely...."

His chest was going up and down, he still had not calmed down since he left the place where he played, he settled better in the back seat and trying to get the tension away from his body, he practiced his breathing to be calmer. He looked out the window at the streetlights that illuminated the night and the leisurely walk of the people on a Saturday night.

(...)

His body succumbed to the melancholy transmitted by the piano that accompanied the story with its soft melody, his somewhat dramatic movements that combined perfectly with those of his friend and partner-Roier really knew how to be graceful when it came to dancing-he could hear the sobs of some people, it was the end of the play, he could understand it.

For the melodramatic story told through the ballet "La Dame aux Camélias" was for some a story to shed tears, as the steps of the two increased in precision and determination, simulating a tortuous farewell the music increased with them.

The light that pointed to the stage was on, now crawling on the floor, with a haggard face and being helped by another dancer, he began the courageous end. His partner on stage stood in a corner with a book in his hands, he rose slowly, his movements denoting grace and deep sadness. A spot of light was focused on Roier, who was looking at the audience still with the book in his hands about to close. His arms opened and a few at a time began to close, when the lighting was dim and the sound of the piano had disappeared, letting his body fall to the floor. He died and the man I love, closed that book he wrote telling his tragic love story, turning off the full lights of the theater and hearing a standing ovation of applause.

The curtain came down, leaving the dancers and production team to walk around the stage more freely to congratulate each other on a great performance.

-Hey Missa, are you okay? -asked his friend who came over to help him up- caíste re duro mijo'.

-Si, tu tranquilo wey -his breathing was slow trying to get as much air as possible because almost two hours of dancing had left him dead and his feet hurt a little- How are you? I mean if I'm tired I don't want to imagine the person that was carrying me.

-Well...yes I'm tired, but more than that I'm starving -he exclaimed, patting his stomach and grimacing- we'll go to Maximus' bar, won't we? As far as I remember your group didn't have any gang fights with BOLAS group.

-Hey, are you guys talking about going to the Copacabana? -asked a brunette who was already half dressed in her daily clothes- Let's go together guys! Some of us are also hungry and we will also go to support our little blues.

-Of course Tina, let's all go to lunch -the one with the bandana turned around looking straight at the girl- I'm not really going to support any of them because I don't get involved in other people's business, after all we were eliminated last week.

-Oh yes, I remember, Bagi told me about it....

The two boys, who were having a conversation, did not notice that a certain blond had already retired to the locker room to check his cell phone.

"Phil if he will have arrived..."

The last she heard from him was after a short break - very short indeed - where she wrote to him wishing him luck as it was his turn to introduce himself and asking where they would meet.

She took her bag from her locker and took out her mobile device, then turned on the screen and checked her last messages. When she opened her conversation with the blond, she saw the last two messages, smiled and hurried to get dressed.

Phil

I am in the theater.

Great presentation, my moonflower

*photo*

A somewhat baggy black T-shirt covered her top, he put on some equally baggy shorts to have some comfort after being in such a tight high as the leotard and tulles of her wardrobe. Until he had to sit on a stool in the room, he had to take off his shoes, and he took some more comfortable shoes and a pair of socks from her bag to put them on.

With some care, he began to untie the straps that held these on, wincing as he removed the first slipper.

-Shit... -i mumble when I see his fingers a little red.

-You forgot the pads again, didn't you? -That voice made him turn his head ashamed for being discovered in his carelessness, Philza entered through the door of the locker room turning his gaze from one side to the other, evidencing that some people were still not coming.

-I left home so fast, I forgot about them -he replied, but his wince returned when he felt the calloused hands touch his foot- I wanted to ask one of the boys, but they didn't have any others to lend.

-You could have called your brother to bring them to you -I scolded, inspecting a little the state of Missa's foot that was a little swollen and reddish on the toes- or you could have told me to bring them to you myself.

-You were rehearsing, I didn't want to interrupt -his gaze only followed the blond's movements as he rubbed the damaged area and applied the ointment he always carried in his bag- besides mom wasn't there and the window of my room was closed, I don't think you could have entered.

-Just don't forget them again please, I don't want you to get hurt -Philza sold the foot she was holding, then took one of the socks and placed it where it belonged -your slipper my Cinderella.

A laugh came out of the taller man's mouth as he handed him his shoes- Sure, you take it young footman.

-Lackey? I thought I'd be your prince -he teased as he tied the shoelaces and started on the next foot.

-Sorry, but I already have a prince, blond, big eyes, he gets excited to see me and he has to go to the vet on Monday, so I hope you will come with me -a hair of the blond slid down his cheek so he carefully put it behind his ear.

-Sure, I'll pick them up

-Thank you, Chayanne needs an overhaul and a good bath.

They exchanged a couple of smiles and the blond continued with his work, once he finished tying the laces of the other shoe he helped him to get up, Missa arranged his last belongings and they went to the exit with a hurried pace because they thought they had already spent too much time alone in the dress. Something that seemed strange to her was that none of her companions had arrived yet.

Their hands were clasped and the conversation picked up where they left off, coordinating what would happen on Monday. Arriving at that Philza would pick up Missa to go together to the vet for both puppies-taking the little husky with them to get the same treatment as the other golden puppy-and return for dinner together at the blond's house.

The ringing in sets of two cell phones broke the atmosphere of both boys already descending the stairs of the Island's large theater.

-Hello?

-Where are you bastard? We agreed to go all together to the bar, we are about to finish getting dressed.

-Oh right...excuse me Ro, I'm going out early, I have something to pick up before I leave.

-We were with you, mijo', how can you go out alone at this time of day?

-eh...I'll be very quiet

-Give me a moment Tina and I will get you...

-Mande

The keen hearing of the bandana boy on the other side of the speaker activated, unconsciously moving a little closer to the phone, startled to hear a certain familiar voice.

-Are you with someone?

-NO! I mean the people leaving the theater - uhm...we'll be right with you, bye.

-Hey Roier! He hung up on me

-Who hung up on you? - Nobody, what happened Cellbit?

-eh yes...they finished playing about 30 minutes ago, if not...Baghera, how long ago did they finish! - More than half an hour, almost 40 minutes something like that!

-Well, something like that. I went out to look for you and you weren't there, they are going to say who goes to the next phase and who goes to the final, will you come back?

-Yes, I'll be there shortly, I'll be gone for a coffee.

-...you could have ordered it in here, you know Maxo could give it to you even if it's not on the menu.

-No, don't worry Cell' I won't bother him, he will be preparing the results of the event. -Right, well hurry back, the group is waiting.

An "Okay" was enough for the Brazilian to cut off the phone. He returned the device to his pocket and met the gaze of the jet-haired man.

-We have to go, I think the kids are waiting for me -his arm better placed the other's bag on his shoulder, and then he offered his hand to the other -if possible, we can stop by a coffee shop, I have to get there with a coffee.

-Hahaha, there is a coffee shop near here, we could pass by quickly to overlap with your friends -he took the offered hand and moved a little closer to the other boy- Then let's go, moonflower

They both headed for the cafe mentioned by the jet. On the stairs of the large theater three people could be seen watching everything with attention, the spider hybrid boy was holding his phone while two of his other four arms were crossed in annoyance.

-Hey, there's Apple boy and Philza -shouted the chestnut who was about to shout for her best friend.

-Do they still believe that no one knows? asked the duck -hybrid boy with irony, who only made a sign to the accountant so she wouldn't do what she was thinking.

-Solo le están jugando a la mamada, nos creen pendejos -his phone vibrated because of a message notification, and he looked at the device to check what he had written.

Missancio

I've already left king

I'll be fine, don't worry

I'll see you at the Copacabana, I'll bring you something for your trouble.

Tqm wey

Don't tell Tina, I'll take her too haha.

Roiler

Bring for Quackity's too, I have it next to me.

A smile appeared on his face, his friend would be fine, he was with the blond and he trusted his friend's partner. Although he already knew about this relationship, he would wait until his best friend had the time and confidence to tell him.
