"Your movie sucks," Gayatri said, throwing a piece of popcorn at Hobie.
Hobie scoffed, throwing a pillow at her, "Nuh-uh."
"A pillow vs popcorn is very different!" Gayatri gave a fake glare at him.
"Shh! Your gonna wake up Pav!" Hobie gasped, putting a hand over Pavitr's ear. "Loud Missy."
Gayatri rolled her eyes, but smiled. Pavitr was smushed between the two, snuggling Gayatri's side. The three had originally came for a movie hang out, but then someone fell asleep. So the other two were just messing around and finding boring things to make fun of.
"We should put something else on, like a Disney Princess movie," Gayatri recomended.
Hobie shrugged, "Eh, they're not the worst, I guess."
Gayatri gasped, earning a small whine from Pav. After a few moments of silence, making sure they didn't wake him up, Gayatri glared at Hobie again, "Not the worst?! Everyone likes Disney Princess! Or at least has some sort of favorite!"
"Nope! I don't have a favorite," Hobie smirked, shaking his head. "They just aren't for me."
"Oh yeah? Mulan," Gayatri guessed. She had seen it on Hobie's 'Watch Again' area.
"She's literally not a princess," Hobie argued. "She marries the General's son, who turns into the General. Technically her friends are princes because they marry the Emporer's daughter in the sequel."
Gayatri raised an eyebrow, "Oh? And you know all this info why?"
Hobie was going to make some comeback, talking about how Gwen likes the movies, but then he heard a noise.
A small sob came from Pavitr. He turned his head slightly, before squirming a bit.
It didn't look like he was having the best dream.
"Pav?" Hobie gently shook him. "Hey, dude, wake up."
"Shona?" Gayatri frowned, tapping his arm a bit. "Darling?"
Pavitr eyes shot open, and he shot up.
"Gaya!" Pavitr began to blubbered, clinging to her tightly.
Hobie turned off the TV as Gayatri held Pavitr close. He clung to her tightly digging his face into her shirt as he cried.
She quietly shushed him, rocking him slightly. Hobie moved the popcorn bowl onto the table, and gently rubbed Pavitr's back.
They stayed like that for a small while until Pavitr's tears died down. He happily accepted a kiss to the forehead from his girlfriend. Hobie understood a bit, he wanted her by his side right now. Well the least he could do is get him something to drink after crying.
"How about I get some water-"
But when Hobie tried to move, Pavitr grabbed a tight fistful of his jacket.
"No!"
"I ain't going anywhere," Hobie said, sitting back down. "Your alright, Bub."
"Is he . . ." Gayatri made a gesture.
Pavitr had finally, finally, told Gayatri about his regression . . . After he made his friends go through every possible outcome for what could happen. Pavitr realized none of them were the best actors.
Gayatri took it well, extremely well, better than Pavitr ever thought she would . . . Mostly because she already knew of age regression . . . And kinda already knew that Pavitr regressed.
Hobie nodded and Gayatri frowned, "Baby, it's okay. Everything's alright. What's going on?"
Pavitr moved onto Hobie's lap, dragging Gayatri to snuggle against them so he could still hold her. Neither two mind the awkward position, their spins might not agree with them later though.
"What happened?" Gayatri asked, receiving a headshake. "Pavitr-"
"Hey buddy, where's your headspace at?" Hobie asked suddenly, earning a small whine from Pavitr. "You can hold up fingers."
Pavitr huffed, upset as he held up three fingers. Not very big, but usually not small enough to make him to nonverbal. Normally toddler Pavitr was incredibly talkative. Perhaps he was just scared?
"Oh yeah, words come really hard for little ones like you, don't they?" Hobie asked, receiving a sniffled nod. "That's alright, can Gaya and I guess what's wrong?"
Pavitr's lips quivered, but nodded again.
"Was it about Gaya?" Hobie asked, receiving a headshake.
"Was it about clowns?" Gayatri asked, receiving a whimper and more tears. "Oh baby, come here."
"Took!" Pavitr exclaimed, repeadly tapping Gayatri's arm. "Took Gaya!"
"The clowns took me?" Gayatri gave a gasp, receiving a very huffy nod. "Oh baby, that would never happen! Your Gaya's too strong for that. Right Hobie?"
Hobie nodded, although he didn't really understand why Pavitr was so scared about clowns, or them taking Gayatri.
"Have you seen Gaya? She could easily fight off some clowns," Hobie encouraged. "And I'd totally help her! No clowns are going to take her away."
Pavitr looked as though he was thinking about something. Then, he looked at the floor.
"Feet!" Pavitr screamed, scrambling off Hobie to make sure Hobie's feet weren't hanging off the couch. "Monster!"
"There's no clowns under the couch," Gayatri said, moving Pavitr onto her lap.
Pavitr shook his head, rubbing his eyes as he glared at the floor, as if waiting for a hand to pop out and snatch one of them away.
Children's dreams are so imaginative at times, Hobie thought.
"Can 'Obie test a theory out?" Hobie asked. He didn't get a reply as pavitr didn't look at him.
But the gasp he gave when Hobie stood up was definitely heard.
"'Obie-!"
"Look, no monsters," Hobie said, turning in a circle. "They don't wanna deal with someone as tough as Gaya and I."
". . . No no clowns?" Pavitr asked, looking uncertain.
"No clowns," Gayatri kissed his cheek. "How about we put something on that isn't clowns?"
But as Hobie began to leave again, Pavitr began to fuss, reaching out for him.
". . . Alright, come here," Hobie sighed, picking Pavitr up and placing him on his hip. "Gayatri, we're going on a field trip to the kitchen."
Pavitr held Gayatri's hand as he was carried. He was sat on the counter, so Hobie could get him a sippy of water. Gayatri had to stay by his side, and Hobie had to stay insight.
"What's up with the whole clown nightmare?" Hobie whispered to her, screwing on the lid. Pavitr had never seemed scared of clowns before.
"Pav doesn't like scary movies, but I adore them . . . I didn't know that he was scared of them though," Gayatri frowned. "We watched some scary movies last night. One or two about clowns"
"Ah . . . That'll do it," Hobie nodded. He then turned to Pavitr "Welp! How about we put on a movie instead?"
Pavitr gasped, nodding excitedly, "Rawr!"
"Lion King? Again?" Hobie teased him, earning a huff. Hobie laughed, putting his arms up. "I'm just kidding!"
Gayatri held Pavitr close to her, "Isn't Hobie just a big meanie, Pav?"
Pavitr nodded, earning a scoff, and a smile, from Hobie.
"Unfair, you two are tag teaming against me!!"
