Amaryllis, a young introverted highschooler, works part-time at a library and works under the supervision of his mentor, Miss Lisa. He’s obsessed with books related to witches and alchemy. To him, his work is but a big opportunity (or excuse) to drown himself in his favorite literature. Of course he makes sure to never slack off in his job! Well, that is when one day he was so engrossed in a story that Miss Lisa had to pinch his ears to notice her. “Amaryllis! Don’t you see the library is busy today?” She glares at him, incredibly annoyed. “B-But, it’s my break…!” he whines. “No-” Amaryllis interrupts her. “Ugh, but Miss Lisa! I have organized five entire book sections, received and listed down this week’s book arrivals, and have retrieved a total of 7 missing books- and I will emphasize the absolute pain I had to go through to get those books- while YOU were on your break!” He glares back at her, but it looks more like a cutely angry pout than a glare. Miss Lisa simply giggles, then gently brushes the boy’s hair. “All right, all right… my dear, you get so passionate with that little hobby of yours! But only for one hour, okay? Get back to work immediately after that.” “Yes ma’am!” Amaryllis smiles, and quickly reverts his attention back to his beloved books.
