Papa!

Summary:

Saw a leak on how boothill had a daughter? I'll gladly make a fluff fic before I make an angst.

-

Her tiny fingers tugging at his hair as he carried her around made him chuckle, the sound filling the room with joy. He couldn't help but admire her determination as she tried to grasp his long fingers, her frustration evident on her little face.

And as he played with her, making silly faces and sounds to elicit her giggles, he felt a warmth in his chest that he knew would never fade.

She was his little girl, his world, and he would do anything to protect and cherish her for the rest of his days. He will protect her like a Knight would a Queen.

Every moment with her was a treasure, a gift that he never knew he needed until she came into his life. And as he looked into her eyes, he knew that being a father was the greatest blessing he could ever ask for.

Work Text:

Boothill's heart swelled with a love he never knew existed as he gazed down at the little bundle of joy in his arms.

Her tiny fingers wrapped around his, her bright eyes filled with curiosity and wonder. Every little coo and giggle she made melted his heart, filling him with a sense of overwhelming happiness.

The soft touch of her chubby little hands against his cheek sent shivers down his spine, as he marveled at the miracle of this precious life he now held in his arms.

It was a feeling unlike anything he had ever experienced before, a love so pure and unconditional that it brought tears to his eyes.

As he watched her take her first hesitant bites of food, he couldn't help but smile at the adorable expressions that crossed her face.

From wrinkling her nose in distaste to breaking into a wide grin of delight, every little reaction she had was a precious moment he cherished. She did like a lot of things to eat, but many that she doesn't like. She would wrinkle her nose and shake her head as she tasted something she didn't like, causing him to crack a smile and get a napkin to wipe off some of the food she left on her face.

From carrying her around and letting her cling onto him, he grew more protective and cared for her. He was her father. He would give her the world if she asked him to. Though, even if she didn't ask for it, he would give it to her.

"Sugar plum, come on, call me 'papa'." He spoke gently, letting her lay on his lap as he sit on the armchair, "Come on, 'm waitin' for ya. Say, 'Papa'."

Closing his eyes, Boothill smiled softly when he heard the small giggle from his baby, who had been lying in his lap for the past hour playing with his long hair. She loved playing with the strands of hair he braided to be at the front of his chest for her to tug on, or to hold.

He chuckled as her tiny hand reached out, grabbing his braid and pulling slightly, "You're pullin' on my hair, sugar plum." He said softly, his voice warm and affectionate as he stroked his fingers through her little curls.

After she pulled on the braid, he chuckled again and gently pushed her little hands away, "Alright, I'll tell you what, you call me 'Papa' and I'll let ya unbraid it. How about it, sugar plum?"

His baby only grinned as she continued playing with his hair. A happy smile spread across his lips as he watched her play with his hair and smile.

Though, after several minutes of watching her play with his hair, she stopped. His baby opened her mouth to speak, only for babbling to come out instead.

He raised a brow, smiling at her attempt to speak as he tilted his head. How cute his little angel was, huh?

Her cheeks were dusted pink as she tried to form words, only giving frustrated huffs each time she failed. With a small chuckle, he lifted her and placed her over one shoulder, eliciting another squeak from his princess. "What is it you want to say, sweetie?"

"Pa... pa... papa!" She managed after struggling for nearly half an hour, only managing to spit out Papa while also trying to form the word 'pa'.

Boothill's heart swelled with an overwhelming sense of pride and joy as he heard his precious little girl utter the word he had been eagerly waiting for – "Papa." The sound of her sweet voice saying the cherished title he longed to hear filled the room with a warmth that enveloped him entirely. He got her to say Papa.

He's truly a papa now, huh?

His eyes glistened with unshed tears of happiness as he gently cradled her in his arms, holding her close to his chest. His daughter was so precious to him.

"Sugar plum, you said it!" Boothill whispered, his voice tinged with emotion as he pressed a kiss to her soft cheek, reveling in the pure innocence and love that radiated from her. The bond between them grew stronger with each passing moment, weaving a tapestry of connection that would endure for eternity.

As he sat back in the armchair, his daughter nestled against his chest, Boothill marveled at the miracle of fatherhood. The responsibility of caring for this little life filled him with a newfound sense of purpose, a drive to protect and nurture her with every fiber of his being.

He will protect her till the very end. To his end.

Notes:

I know it's ooc. I recently stopped playing HSR as I had nothing to do. I know he's a cowboy and all but I really feel like he'd be really caring to his little mini me.

Also, yes, I added him to call her sugar plum. Why? I have no idea. It just came to my mind and I sticked to it. Though, he would call her cutie probably or sugar too. That's his daughter after all.
