Uli makes the decision to speak to Jeremy and put an end to a marriage she no longer wanted but it would have to wait for the moment because she had an appointment with a supplier she couldn’t put off any longer. After their brief tryst in her office Eva had been actively avoiding her and she knew why; her lover didn’t believe that she’d have the guts to end her fifteen-year marriage to Jeremy and a part of her didn’t blame Eva for thinking that.
“I need to talk to you later, but can we do it when I get home?” Jeremy looks concerned, and rightly so, but the hotel was no place to discuss putting an end to their marriage and Uli knew that.
“Eh of course…”
“I’ll see you at home, give Ivy a kiss from me?” Uli pecks Jeremy’s cheek briefly, the head of housekeeping taken aback by the lack of affection but decides not to press the issue and walks away. Uli sighs softly before turning on heel only to be confronted by the woman for whom she was ending her marriage for.
“Oh, hi, I didn’t know you were still here” Uli had been made aware that Eva was meant to be out of the hotel for the afternoon to attend an appointment of her own so is surprised to see her partner still in the building.
“Well, I’m not; I’m just on my way out” It was clear by Eva’s body language and surprised demeanour that she’d not expected to see Uli either. The pair begin to speak over each other, the conversation ridiculously awkward and something out a cheesy romantic comedy; it was laughable at any other point in time.
“I have to catch the next train.”
“I’ll drive” The awkward conversation Eva had had with Raik earlier flashes momentarily behind her eyes; the determination she had wanted to show about not being able to take Uli with her a distant memory as her protestations greeted with skepticism and confusion by the head of front of house. God was it that obvious she was trying to avoid Uli?
“You don’t have to take me with you” Uli didn’t want to inconvenience her partner in anyway, it was clear that Eva was visibly feeling awkward around her.
“I know, it’s stupid, right?” The ridiculous comment put an end to the comedic exchange between the two. Eva suddenly my turns on heel and walks back towards her suite Uli following close behind. The awkwardness and tension had to end, this wasn’t them; they weren’t like this. “We really need to talk to each other” Eva states the moment she closes the door to her suite. Uli had to bite back a sarcastic response in favour of a measured one, one she hoped would put her partner’s mind at ease.
“Yes, this sneaking around has to end.”
“This is so idiotic, we discussed about acting professionally around each other” Okay so maybe Eva was as blonde as her hair air was at times; that was not what Uli had meant.
“Eva that is not what I meant” Eva immediately shuts up and swallows the lump in her throat; she had known that but wanted to avoid bringing up the brief conversation that they’d had after the encounter in her office “I want to be with you and only you.”
“Uli…” Uli takes Eva’s hands in her own, stepping into her partner’s space, the simple action making the blonde’s breath catch in her throat.
“I know you don’t believe me Eva, but I really do just want to be with you; I love you, only you” Eva’s eyes fall closed as Uli pulls her flush against her body, arms now wrapped her firmly “Please believe me, please.”
“What about Ivy?” Eva knows her partner would loathe shattering her daughter’s world despite her affirmation and her desire to be with her. It would break Uli if Ivy hates her for tearing her world apart.
“I want you and her to meet once everything has settled down, I want her to see how happy I am with you and for you to get to know her” Eva can’t help the shuddering breath that escapes her lips; this was a massive step forward, one she wanted to take desperately.
“Are you one hundred percent certain this is what you want?” Uli smiles nodding her head before pressing a gentle kiss to Eva’s lips, inhaling sharply as her partner wraps a hand around the back of her neck and her tongue swiping against her lips asking for permission, permission Uli eagerly grants “Then yes, my love, I want to be with you too” Uli smiles loudly reaching up to push Eva’s trench coat from her shoulders, the blonde’s breathing now shallow and quick “Take me to bed.” Uli takes Eva’s hand and guides her over to the bed allowing her partner to remove the top she was wearing tossing it to the bed. Uli shakily begins to unbutton Eva’s shirt before she’s pushed onto the bed, the blonde straddling her pressing their lips together in a hot kiss.
“God honey…” Uli gasps as Eva drags her hands over her breasts cupping them through her bra, massaging them softly. Eva smiles against her partner’s lips as she caresses them lovingly with her own revelling in the softness and warmth of them against her own “I love you” Uli arches into Eva’s touch as the pair just fall into each other, their appointments forgotten. Eva trembles as Uli flips her onto her back, dragging a finger down over the bridge of her nose, lips, throat, the valley of her breasts and across the flat of her stomach before pushing her fingers under the waistband of her trousers; the scene practically a copy of the first time they had made love in bed.
“Uli…” the room is filled with breathless moans, gasps of passion and declarations of love as the couple lose themselves in the overwhelming passion between them. Once they were both sated, Eva reaches over and caresses Uli’s scalp through the luscious brunette locks lovingly “I love you; so much.”
“I love you too Eva” the couple spend the next couple of hours wrapped in each other’s arms before realising they need to break the spell. Uli knows this is what she wants, she wants Eva and only Eva for the rest of her life and hopes that Jeremy doesn’t make her life and Eva’s life too difficult, that he’d not make it hard for them to divorce nor for Eva to get to know Ivy.
Once the couple were up and dressed, they sit beside each other Eva leaning over to press a gentle, loving kiss to Uli’s lips then her cheek before pressing her forehead against her partner’s.
“If you need somewhere to stay after you tell Jeremy you can stay with me” Uli smiles brightly knowing there was nowhere else she’d rather be once she leaves Jeremy; if he isn’t the one to leave the apartment.
“Thank you darling” Uli returns the kiss before taking a deep breath; this was going to be hard but completely and utterly worthwhile “We better get to those appointments before they think we’re not coming.”
“I know call me later, okay?” Uli nods her head pressing one final kiss to Eva’s lips before the couple separate leaving the room a few minutes apart. Uli heads downstairs to the changing room to meet up with Jeremy turning her head as he moves to kiss her cheek; the simple gesture of denial causing alarm bells to ring in his head.
