HAN's POV
"Don't worry dad, it'll be fine!" I sweep the shop's floor.
"Just make sure you lock the doors when you're finished. We have a new inventory of valuable herbs stored in the back." Dad lays the shop keys on the glass counter by the register.
I convinced my dad to let me close the shop on my own. After I make sure dad has fully left the front of the shop, I lock the front door. I put away the broom and ran to the back which is our storage room. I returned to the front with a box of jars filled with various ingredients to restock the empty shelves.
My dad is a well known Herbalist in the Wizard World. He's retired and now owns this shop. I work part time after my classes to take some of the workload off him. I'm a Herbology major at the University of Wizardry and will take over this shop some day.
"Whew, ingredients are stocked. The last thing on the list is to rearrange the recipe bookshelf." I set the empty box into the correct waste bin. My familiar climbs onto the bookshelf looking for any books that are out of order. He squeezes behind the books and pushes them out. I place them in the right spot as he pushes the last book onto the floor.
"Nice work Bbama." I bend over to pick it up, but as soon as I grab it something grazes by me. I jump up and flair my arms around.
"I'm a customer!" I open my eyes to see it's Lee Minho holding my arm.
"Ah!" I freak out and shake him off.
"Do you panic at every customer that approaches you?" He folds his arms.
"How did you get in? I locked the door!" I backed away.
"Unlock spell. First spell you learn freshman year." He steps closer.
"Sorry but we're closed!" My back hit the bookshelf as he placed both his arms on each side, trapping me. His face was so close that I put the book in front of mine.
"Aww really? That's too bad Sungie. Ow!" My familiar bit his left hand's index finger before returning to my shoulder.
"How do you know my name?" I ran behind the counter while he was distracted.
"You're in Greenhouse 102 with Yongbok? He talks about you quite a lot whenever he is hanging out with Hyunjin."
"I take it you're the chaser of the quidditch team that he complains about whenever you kick him outta your dorms?"
"Tell your friend it's against the rules to be in another house's living quarters past 9 pm. " That's right, Him and Hyunjin are students of the rival house, Slytherin. Me and Felix are in Ravenclaw but have friends in separate houses like Chan with Jeongin in Hufflepuff, and Changbin with Seungmin in Gryffindor.
"Is that why you decided to break into my family's shop? Why not tell him yourself?" I roll my eyes.
"That's not why I'm here. I came here asking for help with my Advance Potions 104 assignment."
"That's a senior level course. Why would you want a sophomore's help?" Frustrated, he slams his palms on the counter. I jumped a little.
"I know you've been stealing my quidditch jerseys." He gives a scary glare.
"I would never." I nervously pet Bbama.
"Jerseys don't magically disappear unless someone casts a spell on them."
"Still doesn't mean I did it!"
"You think I don't overhear Hyunjin and Felix's gossip from time to time in the locker rooms?"
"It's gossip not proof!"
"Do they smell good?" His question threw me off.
"Do what?" My entire confidence just left my soul.
"Did you enjoy that filthy after game sweat scent of mine? Did it get you-"
"Enough! Enough! That's enough! Get out!" I put my hands on my ears.
"If you don't want me to report your thievery to your Head of Ravenclaw, you will help me." He leans over the counter pulling my arms down.
"Okay! Just don't mention it to anyone about... You know." I look at the ground in defeat.
"About you getting off to the scent of my jerseys? Your secret is safe with me."
"That's not reassuring but whatever." Facepalm.
"Here's a list of what I need. Go fetch them for me." He pulls a paper list out of his coat pocket and hands it over.
I look over the list, reviewing all the ingredients written:
2 Cinnamon sticks
7 Red Rose petals (dried & crushed)
1 Chili pepper
2 Arugula leaves (chopped)
1 stem of Lavender
1 stem of baby's breath
1 teaspoon of crushed capers
I go into the storage room with the list to check if we have any of these. Researching the recipe that requires these in a book titled "Magical Advice: Spells, Potions, & Charms For Relationships." This list is for a love potion, specifically for lust. He must be crazy if he thinks I'm going to assist with something like this! If I go out there though, he'll tell people about my crush on him and I'll become a laughing stock of the school.
"What should I do Bbama? I'm really stuck in a rock and hard place." I hold Bbama in my hand and pet his fur.
"Tick tock tick tock, flower boy I don't have all night!" He shouts from the front. The nerve of this handsome jock.
"don't say anything Jisung. Just hurry so you can finish closing the shop."
I gather the stuff and walk back to the front to scan them into the register.
"It's ₩77,089 ($57.38) paying with cash or card?"
"I get my student discount don't I?" He flashes his student ID.
"Your new total is ₩61,665 ($45.90). Anything else before I can get on with the rest of my night?"
"Your number so I can contact you." He gives me a wink and a devilish smirk. I let out a frustrated groan. "Here, you go baby boy." He hands me his card. Without hesitation, I threw his stuff into a paper bag and pushed it towards him.
"Have a nice night."
"Trust me, I will." He gets a quick up and down look at me before walking out of the shop.
"Why do the hot ones have to be jerks?" I tell myself in disgust.
NEXT DAY
UGH I'm tired. It was a struggle to crawl outta my bed this morning. Even with BBama nipping at my ear to wake up, I just rolled over until my alarm rung for the 8th time in a row. I ran inside my first class of the day to catch a seat next to Felix.
"G'day Han, You look a mess. Late night at the shop or something else?"
"That Senior Minho visited me after closing hours. He asked me to help with his potion homework."
"Aww, you're moving closer to him! Congrats!"
"Yeah, congratulations being bribed into doing a senior's homework or everyone will know you have a crush on said senior and ruin your wizard life before you can graduate. How did I get so lucky?" I sarcastically clapped my hands.
"Oh come on he might be a softie. I used to think Chan was a big scary lycanthrope, but he's just a gentle giant. A very flirty one too."
"Could you not share your love story at the moment? I'm kinda having a life or death situation."
"The death of your social life isn't going to affect you that bad Han. You barely talk to anyone here besides Chan, Binnie Hyung, and myself."
The bell rang as last minute students took their seats. Professor Namjoon came in holding a potted plant with a set of headphones covering his ears.
LUNCHTIME
"Hannie hyung~"
"No."
"Come on! We gotta cheer for Channie hyung!"
"It's just practice."
"Still I wanna support my Chris!" Felix protests with heart eyes.
"You're so lovestruck. Fine, I'll go." I fold my arms and pout.
"Hooray! Thanks Hannie!" Felix hugs me.
MINHO'S POV
The sound of the whistle blowing as we line up on the field. We get into our assigned positions as the coach lays down the chest containing our play equipment.
"Alright listen up! Our Seeker is going to be out for the remaining season. Minho you're the 2nd fastest so you'll be filling in."
"Why not have Chan hyung?" I asked.
"Because we need him as our Beater. No further discussion. Get On your brooms and let's have a mock game." He steps over to the bench and blows a starting signal. I shrug it off with an eye roll before mounting my broom.
"Hey Felix!" Chan rides his broom over to their spot.
"Hi Chris!" I look over and see Chan's boyfriend on the bleachers cheering for him.
I see the herb nerd accompanying the little sunshine. I was gonna go over there but then the coach scolded Chan. Chan scurries off after getting a quick peck on his cheek.
"Nice looking cheerleaders you got hyung! Mind if I steal one?" I teased.
"Naur! Hands off my Felix!" He lightly pushes me.
"Not him! I'm talking about Ratatoskr sitting beside him." I point my head to Jisung, who has his cheeks full of jelly beans.
HAN's POV
"Oi, I think Minho is checking you out mate." Felix taps me on the shoulder. I look over to see Chan and Minho chatting then looking at me while I'm snacking. I spit my jelly beans out from the edge of the bleachers.
"Han Hyung you ok!? Did you eat the vomit flavored bean again?"
After watching their practice, we hopped down from the bleachers to go to our next class. Felix was too distracted by Chan and Changbin flexing their muscles. I went to leave but Minho rode over to our spot to block my path.
"Came to watch this time?"
"Don't you dare."
"I just wanted to know if you enjoyed the show. You looked pretty happy watching me chase the golden snitch. Wanna go for a ride?"
"Sorry but I don't wanna be late for class unlike a certain broomstick jockey."
"Aww no fun. There's plenty of room for you."
"Whoa! Wait-" With no time given to reject, Minho uses the levitation spell to place me on his broom. He takes off into the sky with me holding on for dear life.
"How's the air Hannie!?" Minho shouts as he zooms over the forestry beneath us.
"Take me back! Take me back!" I freak out in between screaming. He makes a sharp turn before we reach the out of bounds area. I keep my eyes closed as he speeds up.
"You can open your eyes now. We made it back in one piece." Minho calms me down. I open my eyes and take a look at my surroundings. I let go and try to jump off his broom, but my legs start to wobble. He grabs me by the back of my school robe.
"Next time give me a warning!" I brush myself off
"You wouldn't agree to a ride if I did. See you at my family's house tonight." He flies off with his iconic devilish smirk with a wink.
"Wait- What do you mean tonight!?" I ran after him but he was up in the sky before I could catch up. Great, now I have to cancel my personal plans.
MINHO's POV
5 HOURS LATER
"Minho! You got a visitor!" I just finished feeding my familiars when my mother called my name from downstairs.
"Be right back. Dori, you're in charge since you're the smartest out of the three." Dori responded with meow and sat on my bedroom window sill.
"Hannie! You actually came! Come up to my room so we can begin." I ushered him up the stairs before mom could share embarrassing stories.
"Aww you two are such cuties together!" Mom waved her hand cooing at us.
"Eomma! Don't scare him away!"
"No, it's ok. I can see where you got your looks from."
"Oh, shush! He's definitely a keeper Minho!" I shut my door before the conversation got even weirder. I clear off a spot on my desk for us to work on.
"Your mom seems like an absolute sweetheart compared to you."
"Mom is always playing Matchmaker. Any longer she would've bust out the family photos."
"Now why am I here? I gave you the ingredients to make the potion. Why not just follow the recipe?"
"Cause you're much better at this sort of thing. Besides, don't you wanna spend more time with me? We could even count this as a 1st date."
"You like me? I like you too! hehe." Awkward, nervous, but cute. Wait what?
"Might wanna keep your hamster away. Soonie, Doongie, & Dori might try to eat him."
"Ah! Never!" He puts Bbama in his shirt pocket.
"Anyways, let's get started." I dust off a small cauldron I had under the desk.
Time goes by as I watch Han work his magic (literally) on the cauldron. He stirs in the ingredients one at a time while reading off the incantations. When he got startled by the puff of smoke he let out the cutest squeak before adding finishing touches.
"Here you go Hyung. One love potion ready for your class. If you don't mind me asking, why a love potion?" He asked as he pours the
"The assignment was that we had to come up with a potion that distracts the enemy."
"And you chose a love potion instead of just the Stupefy spell?"
"Gotta be different from the class. Plus gives me a reason to bug you so much." I went to poke his cheek but his pet popped out of his pocket to hiss.
"Down Bbama. he's friendly, for now." Han pets him before the hamster retreats to the pocket. "I hope you don't actually use this potion on anyone. This is a specifically powerful kind of love potion. It's not just a simple fall in love at first sight." He warned me before handing the little glass bottle over.
"I'm only going to hand it to my professor. don't worry your little cheeks off." I pinch his cheek while grabbing the bottle.
"Hey! Don't make fun of my cheeks!" He smacks my hand away and whines.
"They're so cute."
"IF we're done here, I'm going home." He gets out of the chair to leave.
"See you tomorrow flower boy."
HAN'S POV
"You sure you can't stay for dinner Jisung?" Minho's mother was sitting in the kitchen peeling vegetables.
"I'm sure Mrs. Lee. I was only visiting to help Minho with his homework."
"Be careful walking home then." She bids me a farewell.
I get home and give a sigh of relief when I walk into the living room. I look through the fridge for leftovers. I warm up the leftover fried rice and chicken in the microwave. A note on the kitchen counter reads:
"Me and your father are doing end of the month inventory, leftovers are in the fridge if you get hungry.
Love Mom."
"Good, we have the whole house to ourselves Bbama." Bbama crawled out of my pocket and onto the kitchen counter. He went over to the basket where mom keeps the sunflower seeds that he eats as treats. As we eat I give his fur petting and read over some of my missed messages from Felix. An owl comes banging at my kitchen window. I go over to open the window and the owl drops an envelope on the counter before leaving.
"Yo Han hyung! Oi! answer your phone! I've been trying to get a hold of ya all night! Were you too busy at Minho Hyung's to answer your phone?!? Whatever I'll just put it into this voicemail then. I found out from Chan that the potion class assignment wasn't real! I hope you didn't already make that potion cause I don't know, maybe that would be bad? Anyways goodnight!" The letter then ripped apart onto the floor.
"That motherf-" My phone rings before I finish.
"Hey Hannie honey. Me and your dad have a quick question. Did you make a purchase past closing hours yesterday?"
"Yes, a student from my school came in after closing to buy materials for his "project" so I let him."
"Ok, just making sure you didn't give anything for free since we checked the cameras. It looks like the boy that works at the familiar/ Magic pet shop." I hung up my phone. I ran to my room and threw myself on my bed. I start to kick and groan in frustration.
"I can't believe he tricked me! How could I be so dumb! That's what I get for having a crush on him!" I rolled over and screamed into my pillow.
NEXT DAY
I couldn't get much sleep because of last night. It seems this week has been chaotic on my sleep schedule. I shouldn't even be rolling out of bed this early on a Saturday. I do my morning routine and head to the kitchen. I'm greeted by my mom who is looking over stacks of paper while punching numbers into the calculator. Before I could go back to my room with my soda, mom looked up at me.
"Han, can you go buy some things on this list for me? I'm occupied with accounting books." Mom hands me the shopping list.
"Ok, be back soon." I collect my things from my room. Bbama runs out of his cage and onto my shoulder.
Oh great, the first thing to grab is at the magic pet store. Ugh, hopefully Minho isn't awake. I'm not in the mood to have an encounter with him after Felix's voicemail he sent me. I feel betrayed, why would he lie about his class assignment?
I walk into the store with my head down to avoid attention. The bell rings and I'm greeted by Mrs. Lee at the register. I pick a shopping basket and fill it with the items mom requested. When I get to the register Mrs. Lee is cheerful.
"How's your parents this morning? I saw your dad unloading a truck." She asked while scanning my items.
"Mom sent me to shop since she's stuck bookkeeping in our kitchen."
"Aww I hope she doesn't stress out. My husband went crazy from it. He kept seeing and saying numbers in his sleep! Your total is ₩14,300 (10.40 USD)."
"By the way, is Minho around?" I hand her my cash.
"He's in the back cleaning some of the owl cages. Let me go get him."
"Oh no worries, I don't want to distract him." I protest.
"Minho! That handsome son from the Han family is here!" She yells for Minho to come out. Well fuck, so much for avoiding him.
"Aish mom. I had one more cage left to clean, could it wait?" He wiped his forehead in frustration.
Oh shit he's hot! He had gloves and an apron on. A light gray sweater with rolled up sleeves underneath displaying his arm muscles. His hair pushed back with a bandana tied and black rim glasses on his eyes. I slowly backed away with my bag of things until I tripped over a bag of pet food. I pick myself up and run out the store embarrassed. When I'm far enough from their store, I go into an alleyway to hide.
"I messed up Bbama." Bbama rubs his head against my face to comfort me. "Let's just go finish this stupid list and go home."
MINHO's POV
"Have a nice day Jisung! He's such a cutie." Mom runs out the door to say goodbye to Jisung after he ran away. What was up with him?
"Mom, you really need to stop." I pull my gloves off.
"Oh come on, I know you think he's cute so why not ask him out? Plus I can tell he loves you!" She picks Dori up and pets her.
"Mom, I don't need you playing matchmaker and scaring Han!" I groan while I stomp my feet.
"You're almost 25 Minho! When I was your age I got married to your dad and had you." She sets Dori on the cat tower.
"That's different Mom! Besides, I can't go up to him and assume he is interested into guys too."
"Think about it, the apothecary shop and Familiar shop join in marriage."
"But what about grandkids?"
"There's certain spells for that sweetie. I could give you a talk about it."
"Mom! Oh my god stop! " I ran to the cleaning room in the back to hide. My ears turned red from embarrassment.
"Come back here! We're finishing this conversation Minho!" Mom runs after me.
2 DAYS LATER
It's Monday afternoon and I'm standing outside the school. After some thinking it over (and my mom's advice), I've decided to attempt to ask him out for an actual date. I did some research and asked Felix what were Jisung's favorite things. I bought his favorite flowers and Felix baked his favorite chocolate cheesecake. I gave Felix a note to sneak into Jisung's bag to meet me during lunchtime.
"Oh, it's you." I turned around to face Jisung.
"Umm... Hey ... Sorry about Saturday. My mom is pretty pushy." I hold the armful of Cosmos Flowers to his face.
"It's ok. I just want to know, why did you lie to me?" He took the bouquet and turned away.
"Huh?" I tilt my head.
"Felix told me that you made that assignment up. Were you just using me for your own benefit?" He sounds hurt.
"No! Well, maybe. Okay fine yes I did lie but I wasn't going to use the potion. I just wanted to find a way to get you to hang out with me." I confessed.
"You could've just asked me out. Even though you act like a jerk, I can tell you have a heart of gold. The way you care for the animals at your parents' shop is admirable to watch. I see a background of pink chroma whenever you're around." He picks a petal off one of the flowers.
"The moment I first saw you, it was meant to be. I fell in love with you unexpectedly. I couldn't get any work done in class that day. Everything you do makes me full of nerves." I lean on him and hug him from behind.
"Aish, this is starting to feel like a rom com anime I watched." He shook me off.
"I haven't started feeding you the cheesecake yet. Come on, before lunchtime ends." I pull him over to the picnic table.
I opened up the box and his eyes started to shine like boba pearls. I cut a slice and placed it on a paper plate in front of him. He looked so cute sitting there drooling over a slice of cheesecake. He dug in before I could finish placing my slice on a plate.
"Slow down! It's not gonna disappear." He looks up at me with his cheeks already stuffed like a squirrel preparing for hibernation.
"Sorry but it's so good! How did you make this? It tastes just the way I like it!" He put his hand up to cover his mouth as he chewed.
"I had some help. Actually Felix made it but I did add something special into the batter." I answered. He immediately stopped chewing and looked at me, then at the cheesecake, then back at me before swallowing.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Wait, are you not feeling anything?" I asked.
"What am I supposed to feel?"
"Ummm like jumping into my arms with hearts in your eyes?"
"Did you put that potion in this? Hyung!" He jumped out of his chair slamming his fork down.
"I did but you must have some resistance since you're already in love with me!"
"I knew you were gonna try something with it! That's why I switched the spell when I was finishing it up!"
"Oh, then what's the actual effect you made for the potion?"
"Turn into a monster that can only be cured from confessing your love for someone."
"Why in the Nick & Gordy would you give it that kind of effect!?"
"So you would have to confess your true feelings towards me instead of pulling some kind of Love Is War scheme! If you'll excuse me, I have to find a way to remove the side effects before they start." He marches off with his stuff, but not until he turns around to correct me "And it's called Rick & Morty!"
I sit there in defeat. I sigh before getting up to clean our table. At least he took the bouquet with him. I facepalm my forehead and groan at my stupid mistake. I don't even know if I'll ever get another chance after this. I pull my phone out and try to call Felix to tell him how it went. He didn't respond so I'll just leave a message.
"Hey Yongbok, I really fucked up. Han is really angry at me. What do I do now?" I hung up. Immediately my phone starts to ring and I pick up.
"Hyung! I need your help! Something has happened to the other students! I can't get a hold of anyone else. Hurry!" Hyunjin was panicking. It sounded like he was running from something.
"Where are you at?"
"I'm at the quidditch field! Ahhh!" He screamed and it went silent.
"Hyunjin? Hwang Hyunjin you there!? Shit!" I wave my wand and use the teleportation spell to quickly reach the field. I find Hyunjin's phone on the ground but no Hyunjin in sight. Instead there is a large green monster that is shaped like a heart with pink antennas on its head. This must be the monster Han mentioned. I hope this creature isn't Han. I can't hurt him!
"Han, please stop. Don't come any closer." I raise my wand at him. It started to charge at me. "Han no! Don't make me hurt you!" I backed into a wall. "I'm sorry Han! I'm sorry for being an absolute jerk to you! I'm sorry about everything!" My hand shook as I couldn't recite a single defense spell.
"Petrificus Totalus!" Someone shouts from behind the monster. The Monster freezes into solid ice where it stands. I'm pulled out of the way by my robe.
"Oh thank god you're alive Han!" I hug him tightly.
"I can't breathe! you're gonna squish me and Bbama!"
"Sorry I'm just happy you're not that thing." I point my wand at it.
"Apparently the cheesecake you made was switched by accident. Felix took yours and fed it to everyone and now there's Heart monsters attacking the school."
"That explains it. Is there a way to reverse this?"
"If we can get into the potions Lab I might be able to wipe up a cure." He goes to leave but I grab his hand.
"No contact got it! Wait! Hyunjin called me here, we gotta find him!"
"You go look for him then, meet me in the potion lab on the 2nd floor. Whatever you do, don't let them touch you or it'll spread."
"Wait one more thing!"
"Hyung we don't have time to-" I pressed my lips to his lips. It felt like Incendio was casted on both our bodies as we stood a few seconds locked in place. We pulled apart for air and I ran off before he could see me turn red.
"Consider that a good luck charm!" I waved as I made my way into the locker rooms. A crowd of 4 heart monsters were huddled in front of a locker.
"Bombarda!" I cause an explosion that launches the creatures away from the locker. I open it up to find a Hufflepuff Freshman Jeongin clutching his bag in fear.
"Thank you Hyung! You saved me."
"Did you see a 2nd year Slytherin with blonde hair around here?"
"He told me to hide in the locker while he called for help. I only know a few offensive spells but they're not that powerful."
"It's alright, stick with me until I can find that Human ferret."
HAN's POV
"Oh my god, I just got a kiss from the hottest Senior Slytherin! About time something good for once today!" I got all giddy and blushing like crazy. "Calm down Hannie, It was just a good luck kiss. But his lips were so soft! Ah ah ah ah!" I jump around for joy as I make my way towards the school building.
Some of the teachers were fending off the monsters and guiding students to safety. I spot Professor Vernon casting the Colloshoo spell onto multiple targets to hold them until students run into classrooms. I sneak past some of the flipped over tables till I get to the staircase. The staircase starts to move on its own to the left side of the 2nd floor. Waiting at the top is more monsters. A quick Everte Statum spell knocks them to the first floor so I can make a run up before the staircase starts to rotate again. I run inside the Lab and turn the closest cauldron on.
"I made it! I grabbed as much as I could out of the greenhouse." Felix runs in Hands full with Changbin guarding him.
"Protego totalum! That should give us a few minutes to whip up a cure in case there's more of those things hanging around."
"When I see Minho hyung he's gonna get it! This is the last time I will try to help him get with you." Felix sorts out the ingredients on the table
"You won't need to if we make it out of this." I pillage through the cabinets looking for certain spices and herbs.
"Did he finally confess his undying love for you?"
"Better, he gave me a good luck kiss."
"Shut up! Naur way!" Felix ran up and hugged me.
"On the lips!"
"Congratulations!" He shook me around till I almost got dizzy.
"Guys, Looks like they're in the ceiling too." Changbin directs us to the ceiling vent that is wobbling. Someone kicks it to the ground and Chan lands on the floor.
"I thought I was a goner for a second there." He brushes his uniform off. Changbin helps him up from the ground.
MINHO's POV
"There he is!" Jeongin points at Hyunjin, who is currently stuck up a tree.
"Is it safe to come down?" Hyunjin says from the high tree branch.
"Hurry up! We got to meet up with Han and the others!" I wave a motion for him to come off the tree.
"Thank you Hyung. I freaked out and dropped my phone." He climbs down carefully as I hand him his phone.
"Hyungs, They're here!" Jeongin announces as the stampede comes after us.
"Everyone grab hold of me. I'm going to teleport us to the meet up!" I huddled everyone close to me and used the teleportation spell. We landed on the Potion Lab's ground which made Han jump from stirring the cauldron. Hyunjin ran over to a nearby trash can and vomited.
"Sorry I've never used the teleportation spell before." He apologized.
"It takes a while to get used to." I pick myself up and dust off my robe.
"Oh thank god you made it!" Han ran over and hugged me tightly.
"Let me catch my breath before you decide to death grip!"I smack him on the butt to get him to stop.
"Ow! That hurt." He rubs his sore butt before walking away with a pout.
"How's the cure for this nightmare going?" Jeongin looks in the cauldron.
"It's coming along." Felix lightly moves him away.
"Chan hyung, can you pull this out?" An oven timer dinged. Chan pulls out a metal pan with baked herbs on it. Felix then starts crushing the herbs in a stone mortar. He slowly pours them into the cauldron as Han continues to stir while reading the incantations from his textbook.
"Looking like a domestic househusband in that apron Hannie." I tease him. I lifted the back of his shirt up and he flinched.
"Cut that out!" He swatted my hand with an oven mitt.
"Get a room hyungs." Jeongin gave a disgusted look.
"Aww you'll have a romantic partner too when you're older!" Chan put Jeongin in a playful headlock.
"I already have one. I was supposed to meet up with him after class but then the invasion happened." Jeongin crossed his arms and pouted. A big puff of pink smoke came from the cauldron. Chan shields Jeongin from the smoke. Han and Felix wave their hands to clear the area. Everyone walks over to see the final product.
"Now we just need a test subject to try it on." Felix ladles some into a bottle.
"No problem." Changbin takes it and opens the window. He throws it at a blue heart monster standing underneath us. In a puff of smoke it turns back into a student.
"Thanks Binnie!" The student waves at us.
"No problem Wooyoung! See you later!" Changbin closes the window.
"Uhh... Thank you Hyung, for that..." Felix scratches his head.
"I advise we hook some of this into the school's sprinkler system and gather the students to the front yard." Chan lays out a floor plan of the school.
"What about the groundskeeper? Don't we have to get permission?" Hyunjin asked.
"I'm sure Professor Kihyun is in his hut since he's still recovering from the nogtail that got loose and broke his arm." Everyone looks at Changbin with questions of how he knew that. "Fine I MAY have accidentally broke the lock on the nogtails' pen!"
"We'll worry about that later. Let's go!" Chan rallies the group. Everyone grabs some of the potion for defense.
"The barrier has been lifted so proceed with caution." Changbin dissolves his barrier spell.
First one out the door is Chan. He checks if the hall is clear and runs to the end where the staircase is. He signals everyone and we make a run to the staircase. We descended down the staircase towards the school grounds. Staying as close as we can in a group and spraying any monster that comes near our circle. All is going well until we reach the locked off maintenance building. Chan, being the first to try, jumped over the fence and unlocked the gate from inside. We ran inside as he shut and placed a colloportus on the gate.
"The sprinkler system is over here!" I run over and press the button that opens up the water tank for the sprinklers. Han climbs up a ladder to dump all of the cure into the tank. I grab the ladder as soon as it starts to shake.
"Careful Hannie, You're only allowed to fall for me."
"Eww, they're like a couple." Hyunjin sides eyes us.
" Can't believe all it took was for a monster invasion to bring them together." Felix giggled.
" All set, activate the sprinklers hyung." Han gives a thumbs up.
"Let me help you down. You look like a kitten stuck in a tree." I grab him by his waist and set him down.
"Set to 3 minutes 25 seconds. Should give us enough time to gather as many remaining students to the front yard and spray the cure." Chan flips the switch after setting the timer on the sprinkler system.
"I say we split up so we can reach as many spots as we can." Changbin suggests.
"No! No more splitting up!" Jeongin protests.
"How about this, I will create a distraction to bring them closer. You guys try to hold your ground until the sprinklers activate."
"Chris no! It's risky. I don't want you to get hurt or worse turn into them." Felix holds Chan's arm to keep him from leaving.
"Don't worry mate, I'm a fast runner." Chan just kisses Felix on the forehead. He leaves but not without making sure to create a megaphone appear in his hand.
"Oi! You love bugs! Over here!" Chan shouts into the megaphone before taking off. A whole stampede came marching through with Chan in the lead. Felix puts his hand to his neck trying to calm down as he worries.
"It's going to be alright Felix. Chan is a very fast runner." Han reassured him.
"I got an idea. Han come with me." I grab a hold of Han and teleport us back to the quidditch field. We got to my locker where I had my broom stored. I step on and scoot over to make room.
"This isn't the time to take a romantic broom ride."
"No! You're going to make it rain cure potion while I fly us over. That way in case Chan gets overwhelmed we can be his aerial support." I reach my hand out.
"Fine, but you better not let me fall."
"You're already falling for me."
"Cut it with dry humor. We'll have time to flirt when this mess is cleaned." Han hopped on and we rode out. I flew us over the school's front gates where the sprinklers were set in the yard. In the distance I can see Chan standing on top of a pillar of the gates while monsters swarm him.
"Down there Han! Chan Hyung!"
"On it, shit!" Han tried to open the bottle but accidentally dropped it.
"Please tell me that wasn't the only one you had." I asked with concern.
"Yeah, my bag is empty." Han checks his bag. Without thinking I zoomed us to Chan's location.
"Grab on hyung!" I ordered.
"I don't think your broom can hold the weight of three people." Chan denied the offer.
"Just trust me hyung." Chan looked down at the monsters that were starting to make a ladder out of themselves. He grabs the end of the broom and I try to lift us into the air. The broom slowly starts to lower but with a little magic I pull us up to a safe distance.
When the monsters swarm the pillar, the sprinklers kick on and spray every single one in the schoolyard. One by one students return to their normal selves. The professors and students that were locked inside head out to celebrate and dance in the sprinkling potion. When it felt safe, I lowered us to the ground.
"It worked!" Jeongin yelled. The others run out to us with glee.
"Oh thank god! I was so worried!" Felix hugged Chan tightly as Chan spun him around.
"Told ya I'd make it." Chan gives Felix a kiss on his freckled cheek.
"Jeongin what is happening out here?" Seungmin comes out of the school with his headphones around his neck and looking around the yard.
"Where have you been hyung!?" Jeongin runs to him.
"I was in the library studying with my headphones on. I was wondering why you didn't show up."
"It's a long story. I'll tell ya later."
The celebration was short-lived as the headmaster stepped out onto the yard. With a wave of his wand the sprinklers shut off. Everyone turned and got silent as he placed himself in the center with the four house heads.
"I believe there is a need for an explanation on this disaster. The students responsible step forward now." He looks into the crowd of students. The students split up creating a path for us to walk down.
"Headmaster, I can explain. It was-" Han went to plead his case but I stepped up.
"It's my fault. I put a love potion into a cake and didn't expect it to be Felix's cake for his class. This whole mess is my fault and no one else's."
"You realize I could suspend or expel you from this school right now. You put the whole entire school into mass hysteria with your prank!" Headmaster stomped his staff on the ground.
"I'm really sorry, headmaster. I learned my lesson and fixed it." I bowed.
"Are you crazy Minho!? You can't take all the blame for this!" Han whispered to me.
"Yes I can Hannie."
"Since this is the first time you've ever caused any trouble I'll deduct 10 points from Slytherin." All the students under Slytherin groaned. Headmaster raises his hand to silence them. "However, you did admit your fault and saved the school. I grant both RavenClaw and Slytherin 15 points." The students cheered.
NEXT DAY
HAN's POV
School had been cancelled due to cleanup for yesterday. Me and the boys agreed to meet up at the pub to celebrate. I walk in and the others are already at a round table with a round of butter beers for everybody.
"You're late Han." Felix says before taking a sip.
"Sorry, I was struggling to wake up. Dad had me clean the store top to bottom as punishment for making the potion." I took a seat by Minho and lay my head on his shoulder.
"I would love to see that." Minho wraps his arm around my waist and gives me a quick peck on the forehead.
"Eww, get a room." Hyunjin rolls his eyes before chugging down a shot of Fire whiskey.
"Don't act like you don't do the same thing to me whenever we're alone." Changbin teased.
"Exactly! When we're alone, not in front of everyone else."
"Wait, when did you guys become a thing?" Chan leans on the table.
"We've been keeping it on the low. Surprised y'all didn't realize sooner." Changbin answers.
Their evening went on as Felix shared the latest school gossip. Chan and Changbin having a contest on who could handle the most drinks before calling it quits. Chan was the winner after Changbin stopped after the 4th shot of Fire Whiskey. Felix being the good boyfriend helped him out of his seat to take him home. Not wanting to lose out on test preparation, Seungmin and Jeongin called it a night after leaving. Hyunjin didn't want Changbin spilling any embarrassing stories (Since he shared the one about how Hyunjin painted him naked in the tub) decided to also just leave.
Minho and I stuck around the pub until I started dozing off during mid conversation. Bbama fell off my shoulder and almost got trapped in a half empty mug of pumpkin juice. Thankfully Minho saved him with a leviosa spell. We paid our tab and held onto each other's hands as we made it outside in the dark streets.
"Quite an interesting start to the week we've had. Confessing to each other, surviving an outbreak at school, and now we're stumbling home like we just got sloshed at a frat party." Minho jokes.
"Yeah, quite the start of a week. When you kissed me, was it a real kiss or did you use some good luck magic charm?"
"Both. That's what a good luck kiss means. How can you be so smart yet dumb at the same time?"
"Cause i am? I'm not used to real romance."
"You still got my jerseys?"
"Hyung!" I playfully smack his chest.
"I wanna see you wear one! Nothing is cuter than MY boyfriend wearing MY quidditch jerseys."
"Seems a little possessive when you add emphasis on the 'my boyfriend' part."
"Does it annoy you that I've claimed you as mine after less than 24 hours?"
"I was hoping you would. Thank you." We stood in front of my house.
"Guess this is goodnight. See you at school my prince." He kissed me on the hand.
"Your prince demands a kiss on the cheek!" I whined.
"Okay! Okay! Bossy much." He gave me a peck on the cheek. My face lit up with red blush over my cheeks.
"Stay here, I'll be right back!" I ran inside to my room as quickly as I could.
"Tick tock tick tock, flower boy I don't have all night!" He shouts from outside.
"Coming! Close your eyes for a second." I finish up before opening the door. I try to push the oversized jersey up because of my collarbone being exposed. Minho pulled it down, almost exposing my chest.
"Hyung!" I crossed my arms.
"You're cute when you're shy. Send me a picture later. I gotta go before curfew." He gave me a kiss before teleporting away. I put my finger on my lips to savor the feeling of his touch. I go to my room & flop down on my bed. I'm all giggly and kicking my feet in success. My celebration is short lived as Mom comes to silence me since they were sleeping. I roll over and turn my lamp off and try to slip off to Dreamland.
