Work Text:
During her morning shower a small black blob came to join her. It stepped forward, she stepped back. It breathed, she breathed. Another step. She held the towel around her prone body. “Baby!” she said. Her partner came to her call, took one look at the blob and left. “Come back!! Don’t leave me!” It stepped forward. She stepped back. The blob was now fuzzy and had legs. Her shoulder blades hit the tiled corner. Another step. Another breath. She couldn’t move. Her boyfriend appeared wielding bug spray. “Don’t just stand there. Kill it! Do something!” He tossed her the can and vanished. The towel dropped. The can whirred. Legs danced. Big dodging small. Small dodging big. The neighbours wondered what the screaming was about, if they should call the cops.
