The portal to hell closes behind them as the angels fly back to heaven after a successful extermination. All the exorcists gather up in the training ground awaiting orders from there commander. Lute the commanders right hand woman and as he claims “The Baddest Bitch he’s ever known”. Waits besides the podium also waiting for the commander. Lute as-well as her “sister’s” hear yelling coming from behind the door. One voice is clearly the voice of their commander the other Lute can tell is the high Seraphim. The rest of the exorcists couldn’t hear what they were yelling about but Lute knew. During the Extermination she caught one of her sister in arms sparing the life of one of those vile creatures.
Suddenly the door gets ripped open Lute can hear her commander shouting on the top of his lungs. “ITS MY ARMY FUCK OFF MY DICK SERA!” He shouts as he slams the door he quickly glances at lute giving her a glare that shot needles through her. Lute looked away keeping her formal posture as she looked at the other girls. None of them knew why their commander was so mad but the way lute looked horrified they could tell she had something to do with it.
Adam slowly walked up to the podium. He was pissed really pissed. Not at Lute but at Sera and that stupid fucking bitch vagina.
Now he had to tell all of his girls what happened, just fucking great.
He stepped up to the podium glancing around the training grounds filled with hundreds of exorcists. He straightened the mic and cleared his throat.
“Great exterminating bitches!” He said in his usual enthusiasm, which caught lute off guard. “We killed almost 12,000 of those plague filled scum, be proud of yourselves ladies”. Thunderous cheering erupted from the crowd.
Adam put his hand up to shush everyone “unfortunately there was a problem that made its presence known “. Lute could feel the generals eyes burn the back of her head “Sargent Va-jee is no longer here” loud gasps of shock and worries came from the crowd “No she’s not dead, I won’t go into details but she made a mistake the biggest mistake you could make” Adam let out a sigh “I made the decision to exile her from heaven” there were mixed emotions in the crowd but the only thing going through lutes mind was the fact that Adam covered for her. But why? That wasn’t an Adam thing to do.
He quickly dismissed everyone before glancing at lute one more time and heading into his office. Lute let out a sigh of relief she was glad Adam didn’t tell the others that it was her call. But the way Adam looked at her like she was a monster hurt but she didn’t know why? Yea he was her boss but she liked to think they were friends I mean she followed him everywhere and they even hung out after work. Maybe she was just letting this get in her head. With a quick flap of her wings she took off to her home.
Lute quickly entered her apartment and ripped her exorcist mask off. She threw it in the closet storming off to her bed. She belly flopped on to her bed, the whole day had taken a huge chunk out of her. She couldn’t help herself from thinking about what happened with Vagina.
Lute was never that close with her, they spoke only a few times throughout the years. But that was mainly lutes fault as she never wanted to get close with anyone. Well anyone besides Adam of course he was her boss after all. Anyways she just felt like having friends was a distraction. But when she saw vagina spare that demon all she felt was anger. She wasn’t good with her emotions as she was Made not to have any.
Lute realized that there were hot tears sliding down her face. But why? She was confused she as she never cries. Maybe it was the thought that if she wasn’t good enough Adam would do that to her. She quickly shook her head. she needed to take a shower.
Lute turns on the hot water and lets it run for a bit. She moves back into her room to grab a change of clothes. But before she can head back into the bathroom she heard her front door open and slam close. She knew it was Adam he was the only one she let in without knocking, not like he cared anyways.
“Lute we need to talk!” Adam shouted as he stormed his way to her room. Lutes heart skipped 3 beats she knew that she was going to be in big trouble. Adam slammed her bedroom door open and glared right at her. She didn’t know what to do so she gave him a nervous smile. He marched over to lute, she closed her eyes not knowing what he was going to do.
That’s when she felt two giant arms wrap around her pulling her into a tight embrace. she opened her eyes her face was against his soft chest.
“Sir what are you doing?” She mumbled against his chest.
“I dunno some people said that my hugs comfort them and you look like you need some comforting”
“Yeah maybe it works on the whores you bring home but not on me” she says pushing him off of her
Adam looked puzzled he didn’t know how to comfort people he wasn’t the comforting type. “Soooooo uh” Adam began trying to find a place to start “what’s wrong?” He knew the answer already but he didn’t know what else to say. Lute just glared at him giving him a death stare. “Just leave me alone sir” she sat up and began to walk towards the bathroom.
“If it makes you feel better I would’ve done the same thing” the comment made lute stop in her tracks it made her feel angry at Adam?
“Sir you’re not helping please just go I’ll see you at training tomorrow” lute tried to keep calm, blowing up on her boss wouldn’t be a good idea.
“Lute, babe please training is the last thing you need you gotta take a break.” He grabbed her wrist to stop her from leaving. Lute ripped his hand off of her “first, off all I’m not your babe don’t call me that” she scoffed “second, training is the only thing that can keep my mind off of this so goodnight sir” she walked into the bathroom and slammed the door behind her.
Adam sat there for a moment or two. He wanted to help her. He doesn’t know why probably because she’s his only friend. Training was not gonna be good for her, he needed to distract her from today but how? He sat there with his hand on his chin thinking when the bestess most awesomeness greatest idea ever popped in his head. He quickly left lute’s apartment, she was gonna love what he had in store.
Lute finished up her shower and headed back to her room to get ready for bed. She peaked around the corner to make sure Adam was gone. Once she realized he was she breathed a sigh of relief. As much as she values Adam and their friendship right now she just wanted to be alone.
She put on her bathrobe and she plopped on her bed. She needs sleep and tomorrow she needed to train. She wanted no, she needed something to do to get this feeling out of her head. She couldn’t let Adam down she needed to prove to not only him but to herself that she is not a failure like Va-jee.
She laid her head on the soft pillow cuddling up with her blankets. As of this moment she felt calm her eyes slowly began to close when all of sudden
BANG
“Danger tits I gotta surprise for you!” She heard Adam yell. She groans as she gets up, of course Adam would come and ruin it.
“What could you possibly want sir” she said annoyed
“Well I saw how shitty you were doing so I pulled a few strings and got you the next two weeks off!” He said gleefully
“What!”
“I know, no need to thank me” he said giving her a little bow
“Sir no I didn’t want you to-“ Adam put a finger to her mouth shushing her instantly
“Yea I know you love to train and blah, but I did something even better!” lute just glared at him accepting her fate
“You and I are going on vacation!, just the two of us” he said squealing like a little girl.
Lutes jaw hung open she didn’t want to go on ‘Vacation’ especially with her boss. “Sir thank you but vacation is the last thing a need”
“Save it bitch I know your a workaholic” he scoffed “And I already booked everything for us!” He could barely contain his excitement.
Lute let out a long groan “please sir I don’t want to”
“Sorry to late your going and your gonna have fun, that’s an order.”
“When are we leaving” lute sighed
“Tomorrow, see you then danger tits” Adam said scurrying off out of her apartment.
Lute sat on her bed and just enjoyed the silence. She knew it was the last she was gonna have for awhile.
