Work Text:
I rush into the closet and slam the doors, holding them shut as I sit on my ass and curl up. Faintly, I can hear a door slamming, so Sam and Kai are safe. I can feel my heart through my chest and I can hear it in my ears. I can hear the loud, mechanical footsteps abruptly disappear as another set arrives to my left. They slowly get louder and louder before they’re in the room. It’s the chicken. They walk in, look around the room, and walk back out. Just as quickly as they arrived, the footsteps were gone.
“Come on out, little lamb. You can’t hide forever.” A deep voice creeps out of the darkness of the bedroom. I can see the eyes of the bear slowly fade into existence as they dart around the room, likely looking for me.
I haven’t heard Sam or Kai in a while and I start to think. Kai and Sam are both smart, even if I say otherwise. If Kai felt like she was in actual danger, she would’ve known how and when to shut up and hide. Sam, on the other hand, is fast. They can be a sneaky fuck when she wants to be. Since I heard a singular door close, they’re likely hiding together, watching each other’s backs.
Gods, I wish Jake were here- Or Roberto! Roberto would protect me- or watch my back. Ooh- or make me food. I’m hungry.
“Little la-amb, come out, come out!” Freddy calls out once again before it clicks.
He’s not referring to the multiple. Kai and Sam aren’t here. They left.
Man, what the fuck.
“They left you alone, little lamb.”
“I think I noticed!” I wish I kept my mouth shut because the fox comes running in and looks at the closet. He slowly stalks closer and I scoot away from the door and hide behind some of the remaining clothes. Will this work? I have no idea. This is the best option I have because I have no intention of finding out if this fox has a sharp hook like the fox at the second location!
The hook parts the doors and slides them open, his mouth opens and his jaw hangs down. It’s so creepy. His breathing is loud and heavy. He looks back and forth before leaving the room entirely. Fuck. I don’t know if I can leave. I pat my pants and search for my phone, only to no avail. I must’ve left it in the car, the one that is with Kai and Sam.
Damn.
I rub my hands over my face and pause. The door slammed, so it might not be locked. Since this is a house, maybe I can just run out the front door. I peek out into the bedroom and, upon seeing no one there, I stand up and creep toward the door on my right. I peek out and no one is there so I sprint out and into the baby room at the end of the hall. I close the door as gently as possible and take a deep breath. I peek back out and, still seeing nobody, I sprint out and to the stairs before freezing. I look back at the baby room and feel my body stiffen.
That doll is not there.
Whatever, it’s not important right this second. I turn and run down the stairs, rushing toward the door before Bonnie stalks out from behind the entry pillars, forcing me to bolt into the bathroom in the foyer.
That fucker scared me, how rude. I close my eyes and take a deep breath before opening them and-
Oh fuck!
The chicken is standing there, in the bathroom, smiling with their head tilted. I open the bathroom door and sprint out, screaming “Occupado! Occupado!” and running for the front door, only for Freddy to appear there, blocking my exit.
Honing into my Dead by Daylight skills, I loop Freddy around the table a few times before once again bolting for the door, actually getting to it and ripping the door open and hopping out, slamming the door shut again.
Those fuckers are fast. Thank fuck for Damien being a speedy little shit. I flop down onto the welcome mat and sigh. Oh shit, I’m going to have to walk home.
Right as the thought enters my mind, I look back up at the driveway and spot Sam’s car pulling up. Sam and Kai look frazzled and worried as they park the car and hop out, running toward me. I can hear their voices faintly, but all my head can focus on is that they came back.
My family came back.
