I am the Wind twisting and turning I give the fire enough to stay burning!

Summary:

Todoroki Shouto hated his father. That was just a fact. The sky is blue, grass is green, Todoroki Shouto hated his father, and the wind is a mischievous God hellbent on using him and his family for something.

Wait what was that last one?

Chapter 1: Fire should burn.

Chapter Text

Aeolus was so bored. This modern world was so incredibly peaceful and boring. Nothing to entertain her! No one even prayed to the well known ancient gods anymore, let alone her.

Then she saw it… or well… Him, a young boy with red hair and teal eyes and the ability to control fire. He was completely mortal but had one of these ‘Quirks’ that recently developed in mortal humans over 300 years ago.

She saw that the boy was having trouble with his quirk. He couldn’t produce more than a small candle flame in his hand. Even then the flame would immediately dissipate when he would try to throw it, to practice his aim.

She had been watching this young boy for about a week and every day he would train with his quirk and push his body to the limit to keep in shape and gain muscle.

Though sometimes she would notice that before training, the boy would have bruises and bandages littered over his body. Maybe bullies? Abusive parents? She knew that humans were cruel enough to hurt others if they’re different in any way that was not considered ‘normal’, and in a society where most of the population has superpowers, discrimination was bound to be apparent.

Whether it was his seemingly ‘weak’ quirk or just humans being cruel for cruel sake. It did not matter to her but this boy was not getting anywhere with his quirk and it was just getting sad with how much time he dedicated to training his quirk.

So Aeolus thought it would be more fun if she played a game with him. So after a month of just watching him in her incorporeal form. She decided to take a physical form to interact with him.

He was in his normal spot that he has been for the past month. He was so focused on trying to make a bigger flame that he didn’t even feel the wind around him picking up in speed and forming a small tornado.

“You want some help with your quirk?” She said.

Enji hated his quirk. Why wouldn’t he? Everyone else hated it… his quirk was so incredibly weak. How was he going to be the number 1 Hero with such a weak quirk?

He couldn’t even produce an actual flame any bigger than one on a candle, he couldn’t throw the flame because it would just dissipate. It was a useless quirk.

It was because of his quirk that his parents no longer just ignored him but straight up hit him when they were angry. His bullies weren’t any different but their words and punches hurt a lot less. Whether it was his training or his steadily growing pain tolerance it didn’t seem to bother him.

Although, for the past month he’s felt watched but when he looked around not a single soul in sight. It creeped him out, but there was nothing wrong so he didn’t think much of it.

Today he was going to train with his quirk for the majority of his training time. Yesterday was training his body with running laps, push-ups and pull-ups.

“You want some help with your quirk?” A voice behind him said.

He whirled round to where the voice came from and saw a very tall and gorgeous woman. She had light blue skin, pure white hair and no irises or pupils in her eyes. The woman wore a silvery-white peplos with light grey swirls across the sleeves and hem.

Which was strange because that piece of clothing was what the Greek wore in the ancient times. The only reason why someone would still wear one would be that this woman was some sort of Goddess. Fitting considering her timeless looking beauty.

“Wait… are you an actual Goddess?” He said impulsively.

The Goddess laughed. It was both gentle and harsh, just like the wind was. It was as if this Goddess was the wind itself. Then it clicked.

“Oh my Gods, you’re the Great Wind God, Aeolus!” He said in excitement.

Aeolus nodded. Then Enji remembered what the Goddess had said. Could she actually help him with his quirk? She’s a Goddess of course she could!

“… Could you really help me with my quirk?” Enji whispered.

Aeolus laughed once again. “Yes I can help you with your quirk, for a price!” Aeolus said.

Enji thought it over. On one hand, if he accepted then he would have a debt to her and possibly pay the price she had in mind. On the other hand if he denied then he would never reach his dream of being the number 1 hero with such a pathetically weak quirk. He needed to asked a question first then he would decide.

“What’s the price?” He asked.

“Hahaha! If I told you the price it would not be entertaining for me, but I will tell you that it will be something that you’ll miss when it’s gone.” Aeolus told him.

So that was the price description, huh, ‘something he’ll miss when it’s gone.’ It couldn’t be that important because he knew that he didn’t have anything he took for granted, he cherished everything given to him.

He made his decision.

“Deal!” He said.

He shook Aeolus’s hand.

Aeolus grinned.

As the handshake ended, Enji felt power rushing through and around him. He used his quirk and to his surprise a flame engulfed his entire hand and when he shot it at the wall of the ruins it stuck and started spreading.

“Uh… how do I stop the fire from spreading?” He said panicked.

“Leave that to me!” Aeolus said.

Just like that the fire died out. Aeolus is the Goddess of Wind so she must’ve gotten rid of the oxygen in the wind so the fire could not support itself.

“It seems we have a lot of training to do!” Aeolus laughed it off.

Aeolus looked at Enji. He had just gotten his Hero License, he looked so happy. Eyes shining and a smile on his face. Hah! So young, so full of hope.

Aeolus looked at Enji. He just saved everyone from a villain attack for the first time, he looked so proud. Chest puffed out, head high, a smile on his face.

Aeolus looked at Enji. He had made it to the Number 2 Hero in Japan, He looked so joyful. He’s so close to his goal of Number 1 Hero. Still a smile on his face.

Aeolus looked at Endeavor. It had been 2 years and he was still only the Number 2 Hero. The Number 1 spot was taken by his friend that was 3 years older than him, Yagi Toshinori, All Might. Endeavor looked so full of anger and jealousy. His pure smile replaced by a bitter scowl.

Aeolus looked at Endeavor. He had decided to have an arranged marriage with a girl with an ice quirk. The girl had just turned 17. As far as she was concerned in Japan the legal age for marriage was 20 for both men and women, not only that, but she was sure that quirk marriages were illegal as well.

Aeolus looked at Endeavor. 9 months later, a child is born. A child with an even more powerful flame quirk. The problem? The child has resistance to the cold, not heat so his quirk gives him serious burns. Even though having a more powerful quirk technically was not hard considering it was her that made Endeavor’s quirk powerful.

Three more children were born. Two ‘failures’ and one ‘masterpiece’. Two ‘failures’ were a girl with a body built for heat but has an ice quirk, and a quirkless boy.

The ‘Masterpiece’ had half white and half red hair split perfectly in the middle, with a powerful mix of both the fire and ice quirks.

Endeavor thinks he can get his youngest son, Shouto, to surpass All Might. So he start to ‘train’ which was just abusing Shouto. Just like he did with his oldest, Touya, but worse.

It seems that Endeavor has forgotten about the price of her help.

Maybe it time to start cashing it in.
