In the dim glow of the hotel room, a somber atmosphere hung heavy, isolating Tobi and Harry on opposite sides of the room, swallowed by separate beds. They were the only single souls among their circle—Simon and Vik blissfully married, Ethan swimming in fatherhood, Josh flaunting his decade-long engagement, and JJ cohabitating with his girlfriend.
Harry's question broke the silence, his voice gentle in the stillness. "Tobi, how do you do it? How do you deal with...being alone?"
Tobi paused, his heart aching with a truth he rarely uttered. "I don't." His voice was a mere whisper, trembling with suppressed pain. "I struggle every day. But I try, I surround myself with you guys, try to reach out to people. But it's hard Harry."
Harry's laughter faltered, his amusement replaced by a quiet concern. "But you're always so... You listen, you offer advice. I- i would've never..."
Tobi's eyes welled up, tears threatening to spill. He let out a pitiful chuckle.
"I never would've guessed." Harry's voice was barely above a murmur, laced with both surprise and empathy.
Silence reined again, each man lost in his own thoughts. Then, Harry slowly rose from his bed, his steps soundless on the plush carpet. He crossed the divide, his gaze fixed on Tobi's vulnerable eyes.
"I don't want you to hide it anymore, Tobi. I want you to talk to me. Let me be there for you."
Tobi's defenses crumbled. In Harry's warm embrace, he finally found the solace he had been desperately seeking. The dam of his emotions broke, and he poured out his heart—his fears, his insecurities, his longing for companionship.
Harry listened intently, his eyes reflecting a deep understanding. "You're not alone, Tobi. You have me." His words were a soothing balm on Tobi's wounded spirit.
"I know," Tobi replied, his voice trembling. "But it's not the same. I want what they have. I want to be loved, unconditionally."
A surge of tenderness washed over Harry. He leaned in close, his breath mingling with Tobi's. Their gazes locked, and in that instant, time seemed to stand still.
A soft kiss, hesitant at first, filled the air with bittersweet longing. Barriers shattered, and a profound connection sparked between them. In the hushed silence of the night, two solitary souls found solace in each other's embrace.
As the kiss deepened, Harry whispered, "I love you, Tobi."
Tobi's eyes fluttered open, his heart pounding in his chest. "You do?"
Harry nodded, a soft smile curving his lips. "I have for a long time. I just never dared to say it."
"I love you too, Harry," Tobi confessed, his voice barely above a whisper.
With each kiss, they poured out their love, their loneliness, their dreams. In that hotel room, they found what they had been yearning for—a love that filled the void and made them whole.
The night wore on, their whispers intertwined with laughter and secrets shared. As the first rays of dawn peeked through the curtains, they lay side by side, their bodies entwined, their hearts beating as one.
They knew their love was a risk, a challenge. But in that moment, as they watched the sun rise together, they realized it was a risk worth taking. For in each other's arms, they had found the love they had been searching for their entire lives.
