Impact play had always been something that faintly confused Abi Borin, but the more she watched Penelope Blake dealing with the aftermath of it, the more she understood what it was that made people so interested in it. All she needed now was the confidence to ask... which she didn’t have.
In the end it’s Penelope that handles the subject, asking if she’s actually interested in impact play or not, smiling just a little when Abi shakes her head, admitting she may be in time, just not yet. They would face the future when it happened. For now, knowing that they could if they wanted to was enough.
