Work Text:
(Oh my, oh my,
every step that comes to you scares me.)
(The clocks don't show you anymore...)
Dokja, the soul in love to death. Deathly devoted, deathly loyal, deathly blind. He is so blind that he cannot see the hatred of his loved one. That hatred towards him. That hatred he thought he had towards everyone.
Kim Dokja sometimes feels sorry for himself. for falling in love with such a man. So rude, so pathetic and so incomplete. So deficient, devoid of the slightest delicate feeling. Deprived of love. For example, devoid of sadness. Deprived of trust.
Yoo Jonghyuk always feels sorry for Kim Dokja. Because he is in love with him. Because he believes in the impossible. Because his love is a temporary one. Because he doesn't respect himself. So much so that every time Jonghyuk look at him, these things come to his mind and disgust fills him.
And these two suffer both when they are together and when they are not. Neither can do without the other. When they are together, not a minute goes by without them fighting. Neither one wants the other, but one cannot exist without it.
(Every breath I take away from you leads to betrayal.)
(Hey, the guest in my dreams!)
(You are a whole world and horizon,)
(and tears and poetry and wine and candle.)
(and i...)
(When i died, your beauty told a tale to the sea that was bigger than death.)
(Separation has also lost its authority, and so has death.)
"Jonghyuk, why are you doing this?"
And the young man with jet black eyes looks at the body he is stepping on without taking his gaze away. He can't accept the betrayal of the person he once trusted and called his comrade. How can it be, he says. How could you be so stupid, he asks himself. He blames himself, to avoid hurting Dokja, for trusting someone.
"You lied to me, Dokja."
