Aqua, Ruby, and Mem-cho tries to find a red head in their agreed place. While searching, Aqua lock eyes with Arima Kana, before she turns her head away. "She's over there," Aqua inform the two, pointing at a ramen place. The two idol's eyes follow his finger, where Arima Kana is waving and smiling at them. They quickly went inside the restaurant, not wanting to attract any attention. As Aqua tries to seat besides Kana, she blocks him using her hand. "I'm sorry, Aqua-kun. These two seats beside me are occupied." she apologizes as Aqua stands in confusion. "For whom?" Ruby asks. "For us," a quiet, yet clear voice startle Ruby and Mem-cho. Kana's eyes beam as she smiles at three boys that starts to take seats besides her. Two boys sits beside her right, and the other besides her left. "Forgive us for startling you, I'm Katamiya Daiki. Besides me is Amami Junya. The other one is Namikawa Kenta. We are from the Taizou High School." a boy with the brown hair introduces himself and his friends. "I've heard that you two has a trouble with finding a sports team to collab," Kana spoke as she turns to a calm boy that wore glasses. "and Junya has been my friend since childhood, so I asks if he and his team could collaborate with you, and he agreed!" she continued. "With a bribery, of course." the man beside her spoke, and his friends laugh at his joke, as Kana elbows him. "I think you might know us, but I will still introduce ourselves properly. I'm the manager, Junya is our ace, and Kenta is the vice-captain." the man who named Katamiya said, reaching for his bag and opening a file. "So, shall we get started?" he smiles and the others nod in agreement.
After discussing, Katamiya put back the files in his bag and starts to order, followed by Arima and the rest. "Any questions?" he asks to the four idols/actors that also just start ordering. Aqua raises his hand. "Go on," Amami spoke for Katamiya place. "Why is the captain of your volleyball team is absent?" he asks. "Pardon?" Katamiya asks in a not-quite nice manner. Seriously, that's his concern? Aqua put a smirk. "I've read before, you supposed to have a captain in volleyball. And you said that the other boy was a vice-captain. So that's mean you do have a captain. Where did he go?" Katamiya let out a heavy sigh. I didn't sign up as the manager for this, he thought. "He simply, is training right now. I assure you, the captain is here or not wont make any difference. No, he is a very amazing captain! He took great care of us, his teammates. It's just, you see, he is not quite a talking kind of person, Hoshino-san." before Katamiya could speak, Amami make it clear that he definitely do not want any questions by answering Aqua the long way.
Kana, Kenta and Daiki all look at him in disbelieve. They all know the captain is not like that. He was actually a captain that is only in names and, barely could even make into the team because of his attitude. He is a womanizer, and even once tries to hit on Arima Kana. To think that Amami go to that length to stop Aqua from asking questions. "I see." Aqua quietly spoke as he sips his tea. Suddenly, Namikawa slams the table. "Kenta!" Katamiya spoke, turning to the already stand up black-haired boy. He glares at Aqua, who look at him with a bored eyes. "Are you saying I'm not enough for this type of meeting, fucking bastard?" his eyes glares at the blue eyes of Aqua, who is still quietly drinking his tea. "Kenta-" "I'm not saying you are not good for it. But you did show me that you are not good with this, Namikawa-san." Aqua spoke, cutting Katamiya out.
"Listen you son of a bitch." Kenta snapped, his tone go lower.
"Kenta!" Katamiya's tone goes one octave higher.
"If you really think you're competent, think again," Kenta pull out a smirk, as Katamiya let out a huge sigh. Really, he really need to take a break.
"I've been wondering, how did you get into entertainment industry?" Aqua turns stiff hearing the sentence from the vice-captain's mouth.
"You couldn't possibly be scouted, couldn't you?" Kenta spoke.
"Ah, were you perhaps, related to the Ai-"
"Namikawa Kenta," a firm voice yells his name. He turns to see that his team's ace glaring him down, chilling his spine. "Continue the sentence, I dare you." the grey-eyed man warns him, folding his arms and leaning to his chair. "Tch!" he voice before pulling his chair away, and push it back to it's original place before leaving the place. Junya's eyes follow Kenta who are leaving the restaurant, before turning his head back to the people in front of him, with a nonchalant look. "Oh well, bribe him with his favourite desert, and he wil be back again." he shrugs. "Please pardon him, he's still young." Junya spoke, staring at the blonde dude that is in front of him.
"17 is not young," Aqua retorts back.
"If a person who's still growing, and yet not matured as a person is what you call not young, then what are they?" the ace gives him a firm reply, silencing Aqua. "To you, he might not be, but to me, Kenta's still a kid. He has a lot too learn," Junya continues. "I called B-Komachi here to help and make new friends, not enemies. And by the looks of it, you yourself couldn't trust us, could you?" the grey-eyed man glares at the blue-eyed actor. Katamiya let out a sigh. "It seems that if we keep being like this, the collab wont happen. Let's go, Junya." the manager finally spoke, standing up as he turns to the red-haired actress-to-be. "Wanna go too, Kana? I can give you a ride." the manager asks, but the red-haired shook her head. "I have things to discuss with them, so I'll go with them." she said as she gives them a smile. The two boys only nods.
"WAIT!" right before they leave, Ruby suddenly yells. Katamiya turns around, looks shocked. "P-please reconsider it! I beg you!" she said in a desperate tone. Without looking back, Amami nods. "Sure," before left with his manager, who is smiling wide.
Back at their studio, Kana let out a disappointed sigh. "Aqua-san, you shouldn't provoke them like that." Kana spoke, her tone is firm and mad. "I don't trust those boys," Aqua reply. Kana looks taken aback. "Why?" she asks. "They are boys," he firmly reply. Kana's eyebrows form a frown. "You're a boy too, so what's the point?" she retorts. Before he could argue, she continues.
"Are you saying this because you are afraid that your sister would be involved in some inappropriate things? Are you saying this because as a boy, you too would do the same if she's not your sister? Or maybe me? Or Mem-cho-san? Aqua-san, I think you should've hear me properly. I've known Junya for a long times, and that meant I know most of the people he knows too. Including his teams from various schools. As far as I've known them, they never did a single bad thing to me. And I assure you, they wouldn't. Junya will make sure we're safe." she answers, completely out of breath. "Wow! He truly is talented!" Mem-cho who has been quiet for a while, shocks most of everyone and turns to her, who is looking at her phone. "It says here that he is 19 years old, and was called the Demon King of The Court? What an odd name." she continues. "Oh! It says here that he has been in the sports field for a decade, so he could be trusted, Aqu-tan." the blonde, blue eyed idol looks straight at the actor. "Who are we talking about, Mem-cho-san?" Aqua asks. "Amami Junya." she state. "Oh, and their volleyball team has a TikTok account too! The name here is @TheGreatTai20u."
Ruby search the account name on TikTok and play the first video. It shows the ace with another teammate, singing It Will Be Rain by Bruno Mars. Hearing his voice, the three entertainer stiff in their place. Kana smiles proudly. "He has a very nice voice." Ruby compliment, as Kana's face shows more pride. They look at more video of them, and it's either comedy, tips on volleyball, or singing. Sometimes the manager would follow along too. "Aqu-tan, you understand this is paid partnership right?" Mem-cho spoke, turning to the blue-eyed boy. "If what Kana-chan said was true, then we could trust them. Let's just give them a try, alright?" Kana finally smiles hearing the wise word from Mem-cho.
"Junya never posts him playing volleyball because he never really think it's necessary. You can watch him officially playing them in YouTube though. Just search 'Amami Junya' and click any video. You will know him more that way," is what Kana tells them, so the twins look up his name on YouTube. They have to agree that what Kana tells them are the truth, as not only the boy were called as the Court Killer, he's also were called as The Angel God bestow upon Taizou. This is because while the Taizou high always won in several sports competition, they failed to win any volleyball match in a few decades ever since their greatest player graduated.
The next day, Aqua stands in front of Kana, who is scrolling through her phone. "Arima-san," He spoke, startling the red head. "W-whoa, Aqua-kun?! W-what is it?" she stuttered, her face become red. "Um, the volleyball team, can we meet them again? I want to apologize to them." Aqua talk, his left hand scratch his back. "Y-yeah, I can do that. But let me call him first." the red head answer, calling her best friend.
"Wazzup wazzup Kana?" 'Eh? Is that, the same Amami Junya they talk with yesterday?' the twins thought in unison. "Hey uh, about that collaboration-"
"Oh that? Yeah, we've been thinking about that~" 'the way he talks irritate me, somehow.' Is what Aqua thinking.
"Really? Will you accept it?"
"Depends. If, the flashy boy apologize, we will accept." Ruby snorts, hearing Junya's answer.
"I-I'm sorry! About that day!" after Aqua apologizes, a few moment of silence happened before he talk again.
"Okay!-OW!" they heard what sounds like a punch coming from the other side.
"What the hell Junya!?" an unfamiliar male voice scolds the ace.
"What? He apologized!" Junya reasons out
"You stupid-*sigh* Fine, we'll meet you on this Sunday, 10:00 A.M. Will you be fine with that?" the man spoke, and the entertainers agrees.
"Kana." after the man left, Junya spoke in a serious tone.
"What?" she replies.
"Can you get out of the room first?"
"What? Why?"
"I have something to talk with them. I promise I won't say a bad thing."
Kana let out a sigh. "Fine." she leaves the room.
"Hello, is this Hoshino Aquamarine, Hoshino Ruby and Mem-cho whom I'm speaking with?" Junya's voice become cold, and the three answer with yes in unison.
"That's great," his voice become softer.
"What do you want to say?" silence filling up the room after Ruby asks him.
"I want to say thank you, for befriending Kana." the other side of the phone answers.
"As you know, she's kind of, well, arrogant." he continues,
"Kind of naive,"
"And sensitive." he ends there, before continuing.
"Kana never has real friends aside from me and Daiki, the manager." he spoke.
"So I'm grateful that all of you befriended her." 'the tone of his voice sounds shaky' Ruby thought.
"And I felt bad-because you have to endure her sassy remarks-pfft-," they heard him chuckle.
"Pardon my rudeness. My little brother did something very funny." he explained.
"Anyway, I'm glad she has a friends from this industry," he continues,
"Because she herself wont be satisfied with befriending a nerd,"
"So, I want to thank you for being her sole reason to be an entertainer,"
"Thank you"
his last word before ending the call, everything from the sound of his voice are genuine, it shows that he really cares for her.
Sunday, 10:10 am.
The three idols came hurriedly inside the gym following Kana's guide. "You're late," a tired-looking white-haired man, which is their manager turns to them. "Eh, only 10 minutes." Kana reply. "10 minutes is an equivalent to a two or three score, dumbass," a hoarse voice came from the ace, looking tired as well. All of sudden, Katamiya laughs maniacally. "You shouted so high last night!" and the ace only frowns, giving him the middle finger. "Just a question, what did you two do last night?" Mem-cho asks. "Four, actually. And we're doing Karaoke." the manager reply. Kana gasp. "You didn't even invite me!" she angrily spoke, about how she could tops all four of them had she been there. All of sudden, a voice let out a laugh. "It's a boys night out, Arima-chan. Why don't we go there too, preferably alone together, next time?" a light-peach hair man shows, winking at the red-head. Kana scoffs at the boy who is leaning on the gym's entrance. "No need, Hijiri-kun. I have plenty of friends to invite rather than you." she rejects him, turning her heads around.
"I feel like something is missing..." Amami point out, after looking around.
"Like your love life?" Kana starts.
"Your will to learn chemistry?" Katamaiya added, chuckling at his own statement.
"Or maybe your dad?" the Hijiri guy continues. Amami rolled his eyes.
"Very funny. Also my dad is not missing, I know where he is," the ace sarcastically reply.
"Where?" like an idiot, Namikawa asks.
"Underground" he answer monotonely, and the once loud crowd turns into a silence, before hearing him chuckled.
"Now, now. Let's put this to an end. The camera team has arrived, so let's do it fast," Katamiya sighs, finally have room to speak. Kana come to the team's volleyball manager, with something in hand. "Say, Dai-chan?" she asks, and Katamiya replies with a hum. "You were smiling wide a few days ago, after Jun-chan give a nod to Ruby's request. Why?" she asks, and the manager chuckled for a bit, after he remember that day. "Because you see, I see a very interesting face Junyan never makes," he answer with a smile on his face.
Amami Junya, the cold ace of Taizou High, blushed at the voice of a girl, for the very first time.
