Recently Earth found UNO cards and he decided to try playing it with Mars. Mars won first rounds and then Earth won.
Earth: Yeah, this time I won!
Then Venus came from behind Earth.
Venus: What are you two doing?
Mars: Just playing uno, wanna play with us?
Venus: Uh, how do you play it?
Earth: We can explain this
Meantime Sun is sleeping. Mercury looked towards other rocky planets thinking that probably they’re having fun. Then he looked at Sun again to make sure if he is really sleeping. Next he decided to join others.
Mercury: Hey guys.
Mars: Oh, hi Mercury.
Venus: What are you doing here, pipsqueak? Aren’t you too far away from your orbit?
Mercury: I just came to you... Sun is sleeping, so...
Mars: We’re going to play uno, do you wanna play with us?
Mercury: Yeah, I just need to learn the rules fist.
Mars: No problem!
After explaining the rules, the 4 planets started playing.
During the game, Mars put ‘+2’ card before Mercury’s turn.
Mars: I’m sorry.
Mercury: It’s fine!
He smiled putting another ‘+2’ card. Venus is mad.
Venus: No!
Mercury: Wait, it’s not the end! That’s for calling me ‘pipsqueak’, (he puts another ‘+2’ card) that’s for scaring me becoming another Pluto (he puts another ‘+2’ card) and that is for all other insults! (he joked putting the last ‘+2’ card having just 1 card left) And UNO.
Venus is very mad and draws 10 cards.
Venus: I hate you pipsqueak! Were you cheating?
Mercury: No! I wouldn’t cheat!
The planets continue playing. Soon Mercury won the 1st place. At the end of the game Venus lost.
Venus: Were you playing against me or something?
Earth: Everyone was playing against other players.
Mercury: Is Goddess of Love and Beauty mad because of loosing the game?
This made Venus VERY mad.
Venus: IT’S ENOUGH! YOU CROSSED YOUR LINE.
He took an asteroid and threw it at Mercury.
Mars: Venus, don’t!
Venus: Maybe you will finally learn!!!
Then they heard a familiar voice in the background.
Sun: BACK TO YOUR ORBITS!!!!!
The planets panicked and everyone moved towards their orbits.
HOW MANY TIMES AM I SUPPOSED TO- Mercury! What happened to you?
Sun noticed Mercury slowly moving to his orbit having a new crater.
Mercury: Venus threw an asteroid at me.
Sun: VENUS!!!!!!
He got mad, Venus is scared.
Venus: I- I will explain everything, just don’t-
Sun didn’t wait for Venus finishing his sentence and he aimed his solar flames at him.
Sun: You promised me to stay in your orbits and you didn’t stay AGAIN. Am I supposed to give you another lesson?
Earth: Oh no, the last time you gave us a lesson, I was freezing and my Earthlings could die.
Sun: And it wasn’t enough for you to understand that YOU HAVE TO STAY IN YOUR ORBITS?!
Mars: Sun, please understand – we’re just sometimes bored of staying in our orbits all the time.
Sun: It looks like I have to give you another lesson!
Earth: Oh no...
Sun: I just have to think what kind of lesson...
Earth: I hope it won’t be something harmful for my Earthlings...
Black screen. Then Venus’ scream is heard. Earth is opening his eyes seeing... blue sky? How is it even possible that... he’s on his own surface? Then he realized that he normally has arms and legs... he looks like a human. He sat shocked looking around him – there are three other persons with him, the one sitting on his right site looks so shocked and terrified. Other two persons are waking up too.
Venus: WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED?
Mercury: Venus?
The person lying next to him said in familiar voice, Venus recognized him and looked at him confused, then he looked back at Earth.
Venus: WHY ARE WE EARTHLINGS?
Earth: And why am I... ON MY OWN SURFACE?
Mars: I don’t know, how did it even happen?
Earth: If I am here... who’s me?
Mars: So many questions, no answers... What are we gonna do?
Earth: I don’t know... but I think we can’t just sitting here.
He’s trying to stand up. None of the planets know how standing and walking on a planet is like, so Earth struggles a bit but he managed to stand up. Others also try to stand up barely keeping balance (they have to learn how). Mercury failed his try, Mars held Earth to help himself. Finally they all 4 stood up.
Earth: So... now we have to start walking...
He makes few steps forward barely keeping balance. Mars follows him, after making two steps a bit helping himself by holding Earth again.
Mars: Sorry...
Earth: It’s fine.
Venus and Mercury wanted to follow them too but Mercury lost his balance catching Venus who wasn’t prepared and they both fell down.
Venus: PIPSQUEAK!!! What have you done!!
Mercury: I-I’m sorry!
They stood up and then they try to make the steps. But Mercury finds keeping the balance more difficult and while making steps forward, he stumbled falling down again.
Earth: Are you alright, Mercury?
Mercury: Earth... what’s that?
He shows something red on his face and hand.
Earth: You’re bleeding...
Venus: What?
Planets never bleed, so... it’s something new for them.
Earth: And the worst thing is that we don’t have any tissues or...
While telling it, he took out tissues from his pocket.
Interesting is that I have tissues.
He took one and gave it to Mercury and helped him to stand up.
We will go to that log and we will sit there.
Mercury: I’m not sure if I will be able to get there.
Earth: I’ll help you. We will be going slowly.
They started going towards the log. Now Venus is more confident and he goes a bit faster... but he didn’t think that the ground isn’t so flat and he stumbled over a rock falling down.
Earth: Now you?
Venus: Ugh, I just didn’t notice the rock.
They four get to the log and they sit on it. Mars felt something in his pocket. It’s a piece of paper. He took it and checked what that is.
Mars: Hey, I think I found something important.
Earth: What’s that?
Mars: It’s some kind of massage to us.
He starts reading:
Dear Planets,
As you are aware, you broke your promise and you left your orbits. Also, one of you used violence towards another planet. Because of it, as a punishment you were turned into Earthlings. Now you have to cooperate together in order to complete all the tasks. After finishing them, everything will be back to normal. The black dot on your map is where you woke up. The red dot is where you have to go to find your things.
Venus: But what map? Do we have any map?
Earth: Wait, when I was taking off the tissues, I felt something else in my pocket.
He took off the map.
That’s it.
Mars: Also, here’s a note at the end: (he reads)
If you are worried about your planet, don’t worry. It looks like you were sleeping naturally following your orbit.
Earth: Luna has to be worried about me...
Mars: Same with Phobos and Deimos... they will be so worried about me...
Earth: So, we have to go to that red point...
Venus: First Pipsqueak has to learn walking.
Mars: It says the person who also fell down.
Venus: Shut up! I just didn’t notice the rock.
Earth: Are you already ok, Mercury?
Mercury checked if he still bleeds. Hopefully, it was just a minor injury.
Mercury: Yeah, I’m fine.
Earth stood up and went towards a tree which is opposite of them.
Earth: Try to come here on your own.
Mercury stood up and went towards Earth. This time he didn’t have any problems.
I think now we’re ready to go.
He looks at the map.
But... how do we know where’s North, South...
Venus: I think you should know it the best. That’s your surface.
Earth is thinking.
Earth: Hmm... do you know what time it is?
Venus realized that he wears a watch.
Venus: I have a watch... it’s 8 am.
Earth: So... Sun should be on Eastern part of the sky... also, we are above Tropic of Cancer, so here Sun always is on the Southern sky... So I guess we have to go there.
He showed the direction after his analysis where’s Sun.
