“Before we enter the gates, there’s something... I need to tell you girls,” Marcy sighed, as she held the box. Anne and Sasha looked at Marcy with confused expressions.
They had already said their goodbyes to the Planters and Grime and left with Marcy to Newtopia after the final stone was charged. They had left the Planters at wartwood and Grime at Toad Tower. After all they’d been through, it was hard to finally say goodbye to Amphibia. They had done and gone through so much in the past five months. And even though they missed their families, this was the most fun they've ever had and they have friends here now. They didn’t want to leave that, but all good things must come to an end… right?
“Marcy, what’s wrong?” Anne asked her friend, who seemed to be holding back tears.
“I- I-” Marcy sighed. “I don’t want to leave Amphibia.”
“Why not?” Sasha asked. She understood, she was treated like a queen by the toads, but why would Marcy not want to go home?
“I- My parents…” Marcy took a breath and stared her teary eyes right at her best friends in this world or the many others. “They got a new job and wanted to move away. They… they were gonna separate us. Then, this whole music box and us being lost in Amphibia thing happened. I don’t wanna leave you.”
“Marcy…” Anne wished she had known about this sooner. “If you’re not ready to leave, I understand. But I wanna see my parents again.”
“We can visit them anytime!” Marcy smiled.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Sasha questioned, suspiciously.
“Well, I made a deal with Andrias!”
“Which is?”
“I help him charge the box, he’ll take us on adventures anywhere we want. He’ll take us back to Earth to visit anytime we want to and we can still have adventures like this!”
“You mean I could visit my kingdo- I- uh- I mean Toad Tower and Grime anytime I want?!”
“Yeah! Anne, you can visit your parents, but do you really wanna leave the Plantars behind entirely?”
“I guess not…?” Anne said, hesitantly.
“Then, let’s go tell Andrias the good news!” Marcy ran off into the gates of Newtopia and the two girls followed after her. “Andrias! Andrias!”
“Ahh, Marcy!” The Newt king smiled, as he sat on his giant throne. “They agreed! We got the box! Let’s go!”
“Of course,” Andrias smiled, gently. “Guards! Open the control panel!”
“Yes! My king!” The guards pressed a few buttons and a petistle with weird line-like patterns appeared.
“As I explained before,” Andrias stated, walking over to where Marcy was standing with the box. “My people once explored the different worlds and brought our kingdom’s glory to all the known worlds. Different worlds with demons, witches, frogs, toads, newts, humans, and many more! And after we stop by your world, you will see them all.”
“Can we make a stop at the human world first?” Anne asked. “I wanna see my parents again.”
“Of course,” The king smiled softly. “I wasn’t quite sure which world to visit first, so Earth sounds wonderful.”
Andrias sets the box on the control panel. And it lit up in the colors: pink, green, and blue. Anne, Sasha, and Marcy looked on with amazement. It was so pretty. The castle lifted up into the sky. And a portal opened. The castle was a ship!? Cool! They flew through the portal and the girls watched through the windows as they flew over the city. Anne smiled, Sasha was in shock, and Marcy was watching her friends with a soft smile. Maybe getting them trapped in Amphibia wasn’t as bad as she originally thought. Maybe they could have both worlds, an infinite number of worlds, to explore! And she will have her friends with her while they explore the multiverse.
“Girls go and say hello to your parents,” The king smiled. “I have something I need to do.”
“Of course, dude!” Anne smiled, as she rode a robot down to her street. Marcy followed Sasha who went to her own home. Marcy didn’t want to see her parents just yet.
Anne arrived at her house. She was almost brought to tears as she knocked on the door and her parents answered. They were shocked and cried as they hugged her. Domino seemed happy to see her too. She smiled, as she had so much to tell them-
“Mom, dad!” Anne spoke, calmly. “You might wanna sit down for this.”
Anne proceeded to tell them all about her adventures in Amphibia and how she got powers and she got back home. She explained about the giant castle- that the news outlets were currently freaking out about- and how King Andrias was gonna take her, Sasha, and Marcy on adventures like the ones in Amphibia for as long as they wanted. Her parents didn’t know how they felt about that-
“Anne, are you sure about this?” Her father asked, concerned for her safety. “You could get hurt.”
“Yeah, but I’ll have Marcy, Sasha, and a whole royal guard to protect me. I promise you guys I’ll visit at LEAST once a month! And I won’t get into anything I can’t handle. I learned that lesson the hard way a few too many times in Amphibia. You don’t have to worry. Besides, I’ll be able to visit the Plantars too and maybe I can bring them here to visit and you guys can meet my frog family and they can meet my human family!”
“It would be nice to thank them for keeping you safe…” Anne’s mother muttered, then sighed. “Honey, I think she at least should stay in contact with the frogs who kept her safe for us.”
“Very well,” Anne’s father said, calmly. “You can go, but keep safe and don’t fight anything you can’t handle alone. Understand?”
“Yes! Dad, thank you!” Anne hugged them. “I’m supposed to meet up with the others at the end of day. So what do you wanna do first?”
