   Summary

   Another retelling of the myth of Daphne and Apollo:

   Apollo would remember until the end of time the moment his sister introduced her though at the time it was just another feminine face.

    

   She was one of the ones not pleased by his presence. Her round head and upturned features were not especially attractive to him, and she was trying not to glare at him and failing miserably. Dark hair curled choppily around her head, and her hunting skirts were stained with grass and her bare feet coated in dust.

    

   “This is Daphne, a naiad,” Artemis introduced, and added. “Her father is Peneus.”

    

   Apollo bowed his head in introduction, and was none the wiser about the future, unable to see even his greatest of woes ahead of schedule.
