When you're in high school there’s a variety of cliques to join. There’s the geeks, who are typically the weird anime kids with the occasional science freaks. The class clowns. They like to believe they’re popular but they're really just annoying. Everyone would agree. There’s the stoners. They don’t do much. The overachievers who all are always competing against each other and have like a billion community credits. There are the nerds. They’re all geniuses, especially when it comes to math. There’s the loners, or the floaters. They’re not actually part of a clique. They're kids you pass in the hall who hang by themselves. There’s the emo’s. Most try to steer clear of them. There’s the artsy kids. They have a huge brain when it comes to creativity, not so much when it comes to their social skills.
Then there’s the top of the top. The elite clique. The one everyone wants to be a part of. The popular kids. This clique is split into two parts. The football jocks and everyone else who has daddy's money or is super hot. It’s impossible to become a popular kid without one of those 3 aspects. That's why there’s not that many of them, but the ones who did make it rule the school. They're at the top of the social chain.
Once you join a clique, there’s no going back. No joining others. You're stuck with what you chose so make sure you're passionate about it. Once you're an artsy kid you're stuck painting murals for the school and wearing overalls to school for the rest of your life, and if you’re ever caught hanging out with someone who isn’t in your clique, well…it’s basically social suicide. That’s the jist of it.
I’m one of the lucky few who was able to score a seat at the popular kids table. Thank god my father blessed me with the raw and natural talent to have such an amazing arm. Now I'm the school's star quarterback. Life couldn’t be better. The school loves me, I have a hot cheerleader girlfriend, and I get to party basically every weekend. I’m the best, and nothing’s going to ruin what I've worked so hard for.
