"Please pick up already...." Vixy said under her breath while tapping her feet on the ground. She needed to talk to her son and his wife. Fox and Krystal took a short break from mercenary work to get married and shortly after have Marcus. Reinard gossip groups told her that Krystal had to be pregnant for a while before the two wed, but she would be a hypocrite given her having Foxford(shorten to Fox) young and unmarried with her and James never being a serious couple.
"Hey Mom!" Fox shouted while waving. "Don't worry we're all fine and the rescue went off without a hitch." Reinard waited for her son to stop talking about how they saved the egg of a royal turtle dynasty before she explained the reason behind her call. "Well your son is in trouble." Which surprised McCloud upon hearing it. "What did he do?" Fox questioned. "Daddy I was just helping Grandma be honest!" The small blue kitt said while poking his head into the frame.
"Just tell me what he did?" Fox demanded. "Grandma was lying so I helped her out." Marcus said while poking his digits together. "Well one of my friends, Lyndia came over to show off her new purse and told her it looked ugly." Reinard said while holding her grandson. "Well you always told me lying was bad and I could tell Grandma was lying so I helped her." The azure fox said to his father. "Are you accusing me of being a liar?" Replied which got the Kitts ears to lower.
"No I could read her thoughts and she thought the purse was hideous but said it looked fine." Marcus said while trying to give his best puppy dog eyes to avoid angering his father. "You could read her mind?" Fox questioned while looking down at his son. Fox remembered years ago, Krystal talking about their son having psychic abilities but assumed they would appear when he was much older. "Hey Honey you mind coming over!" The orange fox yelled and footsteps were being heard before Krystal came into the voice call.
"Hey!" Krystal said with a beaming smile. "So what do you two need?" The blue canine said while looking at her in-law and son. "He insulted my friend and then blamed me for it!" Reinard said picking up the Kitt by his tail. "I could tell she was lying, I could read her mind!" Marcus said trying to defend himself before Krystal's ears perked up. "Well Vixy, did you think the purse was ugly?" The daughter in-law said. Vixy's eyes went towards the corner of the room before giving her response. "It was tacky...." Reinard said. Krystal chuckled hearing that response before turning her attention to her son.
"Thought you'd at least be older once we needed to talk about this." Krystal said scratching the back of her head. "For now don't try and read people's mind and we'll talk about it later." Marcus nodded. "Now go to bed to bed while the grown ups talk." Her child groaned before responding "Please, its only 6pm!" Krystal's gaze became more stern. "Its better than being in real trouble unless that's what you want." Soon Marcus went towards his bedroom and Vixy and Krystal were alone.
"I thought Fox told you about this?" Krystal questioned and Vixy snapped. "He just said you were a little bit quirky, I thought that meant like you were ambidextrous, not a mind reader." Krystal chuckled a bit hearing that with her husband peaking back into the screen. "Sorry, I just thought it wouldn't come up that often at home." Fox said. In retrospect some of the advice Krystal gave made more sense when she considered that her mind was being read. "When we come back in 3 days I'll talk to him about it alright?" Krystal said and Vixy agreed. "Please just tell me if something else weird is going on, okay?" Reinard asked and both her son and his wife nodded before ending the call.
"Well you aren't in trouble." Vixy said peaking her head through the door with a faint smile on her face. "Thank you grandma." Marcus said while his grandmother was about to close the door, "Grandma." He said and Reinard peaked inside again. "Mr. Lombardi got the last frozen cocktail while he was here." The kitt said before snuggling his plushie. The much older fox smiled before shutting the door behind her.
"Well at least someone warned me..." Vixy said checking the freezer and finding none of her pouches there.
