Your warmth seeping into me
You and I slip and melt
You’re the only one in my head
“what was that about?” zhang hao whisper as soon as gyuvin was left alone, the latter look at him questioningly, tilting his head to the side while furrowing his brows; hao think gyuvin looks so cute doing that. yet, he pushes down the urge to pinch the younger, instead he sighs.
“the confession during truth game earlier? was that just for fun or are you serious?” the older ended up saying, gyuvin’s confusion turn into a small smile.
“i was kidding” the younger reply, chuckles softly as he saw the unamused face from the older.
“could’ve fool me- and others too, especially hanbin. he thought you guys finally get your shit together” hao said easily, making gyuvin once again, confused.
“huh? what was that mean?”
hao look at him, exasperated.
just as gyuvin about to ask more, their managers had called for them to get moving. he decided to ask more once they arrive at the dorm. the drive to their dorm is just a short one, given that the KBS building they had shot their ‘Idol Human Theatre’ episode earlier is close to their dorm. gyuvin opted to watch the night view outside, letting matthew and gunwook’s chatting next to him as the white noise.
truth be told, gyuvin was being serious when he answers the question but he would never guess what was in ricky’s mind that time; often time, ricky would say something like that as joke- but never when the camera is rolling and the members are presence, that’s why he froze as soon as the questions was ask by ricky.
his eyes then moves to see the red head that was seated in front of him, assumingly too busy scrolling his phone. they still hasn’t speak even after the shoot was wrapped up.
as soon as they arrived at the dorm, all of them rest in their own way, some opting to rest early given they have an early schedule the next day. some opting to talk some more, laughing away the pressures of upcoming comeback.
gyuvin was at the kitchen when taerae suddenly ask the same question as hao.
“you and ricky finally together huh?”
gyuvin take his time to dry his mug, before looking at the smug taerae standing by the kitchen’s table.
“i swear hyung, i don’t understand what you mean- hao hyung had said the same thing, and honestly am i the only who didn’t understand what was this about?”
taerae laugh as gyuvin said that but as the latter still look at him with a mixed of confusion and anger, taerae slowly stop his laughter.
“are you being serious right now?” taerae ask, suddenly serious.
gyuvin warily nodded his head, then he saw taerae’s mouth widen in surprise as if gyuvin had admit to something so shocking.
“like- the whole truth game with ricky earlier? was that all joking?” taerae ask after a beat and gyuvin, once again slowly nodded his head.
taerae stares at him, still wanting to see either gyuvin is being serious or not.
“i would appreciate if you or anyone else just tell me already,” gyuvin said, pouting.
the older open and close his mouth for few times, gyuvin waits.
“i- i’m afraid that ricky didn’t think it was a joke”
gyuvin take his time to fully understand the sentence, just as he keeps on repeating the word taerae had said in his mind, his eyes widen.
“what… what makes you think so?”
taerae sigh, “all of us was there gyuvin, we saw ricky’s face when he asks the question, we know him well enough to know when he’s joking and when he’s serious- and he was serious earlier”
“are you for real?”
the older nodded his head, smiling softly.
“where’s ricky?”
“i saw him with gunwook earlier, probably bedroom”
and that’s enough for gyuvin to sprint to their shared bedroom. heart beating fast as he was approaching the door, hoping to see ricky still hasn’t sleep yet. as soon as he opens the door, he notices ricky and gunwook was talking (secretively) by ricky’s bed, and both of them stop whispering as their eyes met with gyuvin’s.
“can i talk with ricky alone for a few minutes?” gyuvin ended up saying, gunwook throws a smirk to their way, patting ricky’s shoulder before saying, “you guys can take your time,” and walk out.
gyuvin stand there aimlessly, now that he was alone with ricky, he doesn’t really know how to approach the topic. ricky seems nervous as well, fidgeting under the blanket and avoiding eye contact. in the end, gyuvin take a sit on ricky’s bed.
“want to talk about earlier?” gyuvin ask carefully and he saw the way ricky tense at the question.
after a while ricky nodded his head, sighing as he finally meeting gyuvin’s eyes.
“they said you’re being serious when you asked the question if i- if i love you…” gyuvin started, then continuing, “i want to hear from yourself either you’re being serious or not, ricky.”
“i am serious when i ask that,” the latter said, this time staring right into gyuvin’s brown eyes.
“were you serious when you answer that you do love me?” ricky continues,
“and if i said i was being serious?” gyuvin ask, yet a smile making it way to his lips.
“not in a loving-friend way, gyuvin.”
“i do love you in a friend way and in a not friend way, whatever that’s mean”
they stare into each other eyes, smiles making it way into their lips and ricky was the first one to giggle shyly, hiding his face with his hands; gyuvin coo at the sight.
“this is real right? no more jokes?” ricky ask, a part of him still didn’t believe this is real.
gyuvin laugh, “it’s real ricky,” he replies, taking ricky’s hands to hold.
both of them stare at their intertwined hands, knees touching each other as they sit facing each other on ricky’s bed.
“this isn’t the kind of confessing i imagine it to be” ricky said, laughing softly.
“wait- you imagine us confessing to each other?” gyuvin ask, teasingly
ricky glares at him, “don’t tell me you haven’t?”
gyuvin laugh, truth is, he has multiples confession ideas on his mind every time he was with ricky, and somehow, #imagination12 – by the bed, had won.
“so, what kind of confessing you want me to do?” gyuvin ended up asking, intrigue
ricky bite his bottom lips, eyes darting everywhere but on gyuvin.
“there’s many but my favourite would be you confess to me on my birthday, buy me flowers, write me a letter and we will end the day with us kissing” ricky said shyly,
gyuvin chuckles, “oh my god- you’re so cute, you know that right?”
“i have an active brain that keep on thinking about cute scenarios, not like you gyuvin” ricky said, fake offended.
the latter then cup ricky’s cheeks, “as much as i want to do that, you know we will be busy with schedules on your birthday… i’m afraid i can’t do that” he said apologetically,
ricky pout, “i know, that’s why it just my imagination… you don’t have to stress too much, i also like this kind of confession” he said, lean onto the touch.
“should we kiss still?” gyuvin said, feeling a blush crept onto his face as he said that.
“in my imagination, all the confessions will end with kisses, so… yes, please” ricky whisper, slowly closing the distance between them.
as their lips finally touch, gyuvin sigh contently. he had imagined this for too many times already, but the real one will always beat his imagination. kissing ricky bring such joy he didn’t know exist, ignite something inside him. ricky’s lips is soft; considering all the lips product he used to keep it moist. ricky groan as gyuvin’s softly bite his bottom’s lips, making the latter smiles at the reaction.
the kiss is just them, filled with adoration and loves for each other. just for how long both of them had waited for this moment to happen, even after they both break apart to take a breather, their lips still found their way to connect with each other. making up for the lost time, for all the time they have been dancing on the friends to lovers’ line, all the flirting.
without realizing both of them had been laying down on the bed, ricky’s hand rest in between his and gyuvin’s body, meanwhile gyuvin’s hand rest on ricky’s waist. forehead still touching, breathe mixing with each other as their eyes lovingly stare into one another.
“just so you know, i will be super touchy with you- you’ve been warned” gyuvin said, smiling wide
ricky scoff, “as if you are not touchy with me before this?”
gyuvin rolled his eyes playfully, making ricky chuckles.

their comeback was huge success, their month already filled with many schedules and music shows. yet they don’t feel tired from it, this is what they want, the things they have been wanting for so long. it was a good feeling to be on stage and meet the fans; it was a blessing.
the members didn’t question much when they notice ricky and gyuvin often times hold hands secretly, or if both of them suddenly disappear during dance practices. if anything, all of them glad seeing the smiles never leaving ricky and gyuvin face. though, both of them still bickering as usual but somehow everyone can tell it was more ‘pay attention to me’ kind of fight.
amidst their busy schedules, ricky and gyuvin will always find time to at least give each other a soft peck; either between their shoot breaks or before both of them drifting into dreamland. they enjoy the thrill of doing things in secret; though not really a secret since their members kind of know- but still,
on 20th may, as soon as the clock hit 12am, all of the members had drag him to sit on the living room. ricky smiles widely watching all of them, apparently when he goes to shower earlier, all of them had been busy decorating the living room with balloons and party hats.
“hyung, i personally pump the balloons please be grateful” yujin said, as he pointed towards the balloons around them, ricky laugh fondly, “thank you yujinnie,”
“i chose the design!” gunwook chimed in, then there’s jiwoong and matthew fighting back with saying they had chosen better design but gunwook had win the rock-paper-scissor, that’s why they ended up going with gunwook’s choice.
taerae and hanbin shakes their head, taking ricky’s attention to the cake that was now in front of his face.
“hao hyung chose the flavour, he said he knows your taste- if it’s not to your liking, blame him” gyuvin said, laughing as hao only glares at him.
hanbin then safely lit the candles, and without wasting a time, all of them started singing happy birthday song, gyuvin take the opportunity at that time to record; knowing that ricky cherishes moments like this, something he can watch in the future.
“make a wish,” yujin said,
ricky look at all of them one by one, biting back a tear that was threaten to burst right at that moment as he was overwhelm with so much feelings.
he clasps his hands together; the members stay silent as ricky make his wishes before he blows the candle off. his eyes meeting with gyuvin’s one, who are still recording him.
ricky ended up liking the cake and hao was smug the whole time, glaring especially to gyuvin and hanbin who had disagreed with his choice.
“if all of us are done, we can slowly tidy up and hit the bed by now… we have schedules by noon!” hanbin remind and all of them slowly make their way to the bedroom, half-heartedly cleaning the mess in the living room. the balloons yujin had worked hard pumping on was scattered on the floor during an attempt of scaring jiwoong and hao with the loud pop.
ricky take his time on thanking all of them.

“me and ricky will be at the balcony for a bit” gyuvin said, ricky raised his eyebrow at that.
“don’t be too late,” hanbin said, smiling as he pats gyuvin’s at the back.
ricky make his way first to the balcony while gyuvin was taking the blankets from their room, to protect them from the night breeze. he takes a deep breath, looking at the night sky that was full of stars, as if all the stars are out tonight to celebrate his birthday. the busy road has turn into a slow traffic, the night light filled the now empty road, ricky enjoy this kind of stillness. where he doesn’t have to worry about anything, where he doesn’t have to think.
“here,” gyuvin said, breaking the silence.
ricky mumbles a soft thank you as he takes the blanket from gyuvin, finally sitting at the chair next to gyuvin. both of them sit in silence, basking in the cold night breeze. it’s not always they get a time like this, to fully embrace the silent night.
“happy birthday, ricky” gyuvin’s hand find it was to rest on top of ricky’s one.
the latter smiles softly, “thank you gyuvin, i heard from gunwook that it was idea to celebrate it together”
gyuvin nod in reply, “are you happy?”
ricky scoff, finally looking at gyuvin, “of course i am, i am beyond happy right now”
“do you still remember the night we confessed?” gyuvin suddenly ask, and ricky look at him weirdly,
“you still remember right, one of your favourite confession imaginations?” he continues,
ricky’s mouth wide open, eyes widen as he looks at gyuvin, “you’re kidding right?”
gyuvin grins, “as i already confessed, there’s still two things you wanted that i didn’t give yet” he said, pulling out a bouquet of flower and a letter out from under his own blanket.
once again, ricky feels like crying. his hand reach for the red tulips bouquet and the envelope from gyuvin, he feels overwhelmed; not knowing that gyuvin will remember.
“can i read the letter now?” ricky ask, putting the bouquet aside
gyuvin nod his head, smiling softly.

happy birthday to you! i wish you happiness and hope all your wishes come true <3
you don’t need special day to remind me how important you are in my life,
you’re a blessing and deserved to be loved every day!

i don’t really know about flowers, but the florist said red tulips is used to show love hehe

ricky looks up from reading the letter, truly appreciate that gyuvin had wrote some of the words in english so he could understand it better. just then he realizes he was crying, gyuvin’s softly wipe his tears away.
“i hope that was a happy tear?” gyuvin ask, albeit nervously
ricky loss all energy to reply, his throat run dry and he only nodded in reply, throwing his body into gyuvin’s embrace. they hug for a long time, gyuvin patiently patting his back, whispering sweet nothing into his ears, mumbles a soft thank you and i love you every now and then for ricky to hear.
after he calm down, ricky then pampered gyuvin’s face with kisses. noticing that gyuvin also had cried together with him.
“who teach you those cheesy words?” ricky ask, making gyuvin pout.
“papago and i kind of ask matthew hyung to help,” he said truthfully,
“you’re so lovable. how can i not love you, kim gyuvin?” ricky said,
“so, you love me back?” gyuvin ask, teasing
“always have been, and will forever”
“there’s still one of my imaginations you still had not done to complete it” ricky said after a while,
gyuvin smirk, knowing what to come.
“come here,” he said, offering his lap for ricky to sit.
the latter take the offer quickly, letting himself comfortable on top of gyuvin.
“you look at me like i hung the stars” ricky said, blush at the way gyuvin look at him with so much love
gyuvin chuckles, before closing the distance between them. ricky’s hands rest on gyuvin’s shoulder while gyuvin’s rested on the latter’s slim waist.
their lips move in sync, softly nibbling and tasting each other in a way they never did before. for once, they forgot about the stress of their works, of the pressure and views from other peoples.
ricky's wish for his birthday was already granted, to have his zerobaseone family forever, to be happy and to love and be loved by gyuvin forever. he thinks, this might as well be his bestest birthday's present ever.
he don't need material like used to, he just need a kim gyuvin and he would be happy for the rest of his life.
in this moment, they only have each other. completely pouring all their feelings for each other, carefully threading their two different worlds with one another.
on the balcony of their dorm,
under the night sky full with stars,
ricky finally found his Eclipse.
