Chapter Text
Evangeline Webber-Kensington always knew what she wanted to do in her life. With a legendary cardio surgeon for a mother, a beloved general surgeon for a father, and more surgery-related connections in her life than she knew what to to with, Angie always knew that, in some way, shape, or form, surgery would be involved her career.
And she was right.
At 24 years old, Angie is ready to head into her surgical internship at her father's hospital, Seattle Grace. She has a few old friends by her side, her head is held high, her mind is raring to go with years upon years of education, and her parents are a phone call away if she needs their help.
And her heart is broken. Unbelievably, irreparably broken.
Because she's in Seattle alone. And alone wasn't the plan. But after the worst stormy night of her life in Manhattan, Angie flees to Seattle, cutting out two of the most important people in her life and lying to everyone else about why. But Angie can only hide the truth for so long, especially when she's as emotionally invested as she is. Even after she starts picking up the pieces of her broken heart, after she starts forging her own friends, her own enemies, her own life in Seattle, anything and everything from her past in Manhattan starts rearing its ugly head, and Angie starts running out of lies and stumbling over half-truths. Cracks are splintering in her cover up, and as much as she doesn't want to admit it, Angie knows everything will come spilling out to the surface
Because that's the thing about illicit affairs.
