Chapter Text
Shoto didn’t remember exactly when the tiredness started, it was gradual, slow, but now hitting him like a fucking bus.
They were in All Might’s class doing a basic rescue stimulation in teams of 3. His team was with Mezo and Toru, a fine pairing but he would have preferred to be with someone like Ochaco who’s quirk was made for this kind of challenge.
They were the 3rd team in line to go so they’d get a chance to see what kind of terrain they’d be expected to rescue in. The stimulation was that after a fight with a villain an apartment building holding 12 by standards collapses and you must save all citizens in the 15 minute a laded time slot.
Toru would not be much help in this stimulation as her strength lied in stealth being invisible and all, but Mezo could be helpful in removing rumble with his brute strength.
They were all sat in an observatory room next to the fake apartment with big TV screens displaying the remainder of what once was a 3-story apartment building
The first group Kyoka, Hanta, and Tenya walked onto the screen talking what Shoto presumed was strategies.
The timer started, 12 robot people started screaming for help, and they were off.
Hanta started swinging around looking for people caught in the rubble while Tenya ran following the voices, one they found someone they would call for Kyoka who would then begin to carefully blast the ruble away from then with her quirk.
A smart plan but they would run out of time given how long it took Kyoka to carefully blast away the ruble.
Shoto sat back in his seat, he knew the turf and has a good enough plan for them to complete the task on time.
Tenya’s group ended up only saving 10 people before running out of time not too bad, but they clearly seemed disappointed. Denki, Rikido, and Momo went next.
Shoto didn’t really pay attention he had been really tired recently and just wanted to zone out for a bit before he had to complete the stimulation.
Shoto’s peace didn’t last long, they were next and started to walk down to the collapsed apartment. It took a few minutes for the battle grounds to be reset so they talked strategy.
“I say Shoto moves the rocks with his ice then me and Mezo can grab the people” Toru said looking at both of then “I can probably lift ruble on my own too” Mezo said looking out at the rocks
“Sounds good with me” I said quickly nodding at the both of them, this was not a very hard task so their plan while simple would be effective enough.
The three of them ran into the rumble and went quiet hoping to hear the sounds of the screaming robots.
They were 5 minutes in and had saved 6 people but Shoto was getting tired, he had to be so precise with his ice and they were doing so much running. “I found one” Toru said and Shoto ran towards her voice. The robot was stuck under one large block of cement which Shoto carefully lifted with a shot of ice, he and Toru then lifted the robot off the ground and placed it on its feet where it then ran off out of their way.
They ended up saving all the people with a minute to spare. Luckily it was the last class of Shoto’s day, so he headed back to his dorm and collapsed on his bed, and though he did not intend to, fell asleep.
Shoto woke with a start feeling hot and sweaty, his room was dark, so he checked his phone it was already 3 am, had he really been that tired? He stood and changed into his pyjama’s throwing his sweaty clothes into his laundry basket.
He flopped back onto his bed and promptly passed out.

Shoto spent the next few days walking around like a zombie, he was tired even though he was sleeping more than ever before. He also started to notice that he was losing weight nothing anyone else would notice but he did, he noticed how he struggled with the last 20 of his 120 push ups he use to do with ease each morning, he noticed how bruises that took longer to heal but he didn’t say anything because it was nothing, he was just over worked that was all he just needed a good weekend to rest.
