*Narrator's POV*
It was a winter morning, and unfortunately the streets were not so full of snow that classes were suspended, so you were forced to get out of bed.You got ready and put on your coats that even made you heavier than you were.
And as soon as he left home he remembered the other reason why classes should, in his opinion, be suspended, the streets were sliding, so you couldn't go there with your bike.
"Souichi! Hurry up! It's going to be a long walk!"
You shouted the boy's name outside, the freezing cold of the morning making you impatient.
The boy didn't take long, and as soon you greeted each other you walked to school, a path that became more arduous due to your complaints about the cold.
“My God, if you were so cold, you just had to put on more coats or whatever”
“I have 3 coats on, if I put on more I wouldn’t even be able to move!”
The boy just snorted and you continued on your way to school.

The morning at school wasn't so arduous, inside it was warmer than outside, which almost made you think you wouldn't need your coats when you got back, well, almost.
In the end, the weather outside remained the same, which led to more complaints from you and more responses to your complaints.
Arriving at his house, you took off two coats, keeping only the main one, placing yourself on Souichi's futon.
"Get out of there, if you were cold and were going to stay here you should have brought your own"
He said, giving you a light kick to get out.
"Souichi, how mean, are you really going to kick out your friend who's freezing?"
You said dramatically, pouting, he wasn't going to give up, you already knew that, but you could try.
"yes, now leave"
You huffed and dragged yourself out of the comfort of the futon.
"already out , happy?”
He gave a victorious smile.
"yes, much happier, fufufufu~"
He said with that always cocky laugh of his.
But his moment of thinking about how else you could warm up didn't last another minute, when Souichi's mother called the two of them outside the door.
"Hey, you two want to join us at kotatsu?”
You smiled at the idea, unlike Souichi who snorted that his recent achievement was in vain.
"Yes we do, mrs.Tsujii!"
"What do you mean, 'yes we do'? I want to stay here under my futon"
"Oh, come on, are you going to stay there alone and stare at nothing? I'm going there anyway, if you want you can show up"
Without delay, you took off the remaining thick coat, just now your long-sleeved blouse, and walked away, leaving the boy alone in his room.
You greet everyone in the room and lie down next to them under the kotatsu, watching a random TV program.
"...go to the side, I want to lie down"
You smile when you hear your friend's voice and move a little to the side so he can join you.
"Hey, I thought you was going to stay on your futon"
He just shrugs, not answering your question, which didn't bother you, after all, he was behind you, not even you could see his displeased face.
*Souichi's POV*
Why did I do this? If I had stayed in my room I wouldn't have had to listen to that stupid program with those fake laughs…
Okay...maybe it's because of her...but like, I just don't want to be there alone, it's boring...that's it
*Narrator's POV*
After a while there you started to feel your eyelids get heavy, and without even being able to complain your eyes closed and you fell asleep, which didn't go unnoticed by Souichi.
At first the boy even thought about playing some prank on you, but, like putting a slug or something disgusting around your neck, or scratching your face, but when he noticed how quiet and peaceful you were he gave up and just snorted.

A while later, Souichi's relatives stopped listening to his complaints and murmurs about the show or anything that bothered him, and when they went to look there it was…
The boy had his arms carefully around your neck, pulling you towards him.
Of course it wasn't on purpose, but they could find it adorable how it looked like he was trying to protect you while you slept, so they just turned down the TV volume a little, everyone smiling peacefully...even Souichi.
