Huge Talia Sabae and godrick stood outside alustins Office door not knowing what to do. Hugh Had been informed by Kanderon during his lesson the other day that alustin was supposed to arrive back at skyhold by no later then dinner time but when dinner came and went Hugh Had grown, worried and informed the others of their master's absence. when he didn't show up to morning training that day they grew worried. So deciding it was the best course of action, they all decided to go to his office and see if he was there.
But now here they were standing outside the door glancing between the door and each other deciding if they should actually be doing this. They might have been in multiple battles and involved in the dangerous manhunt for the traitor on the council and they may have even broken into the Grand library, but as they stood there they weren't quite afraid more unsure of what they would find.
Sabae wasn't exactly afraid of what alustin might do if he wasn't back yet and he found out that they had broken into his office. She was more cautiously wary yes, that was it. Certainly not fear.
Talia belligerent as always, just wanted to barge right in confront. The man who, despite always trying to hold them to such a rigid schedule, had decided that today was the day he would be late to training. She'd even woken up early today earlier than she would have liked thanks to godricks massively oversized dad only having free time in his packed schedule in the morning to work down in the alchemical Labs on a new bone solution.
Godrick was worried about alustin of all things. He knew he had made it back to skyhold. His father had been sent an origami Golem the night before. They had woken up to it flitting around the hall outside their room but he didn't know when it had been sent and all it said was I need to meet with you and the students as soon as possible in his usual messy hand writing.
Getting up the courage Hugh raised his hand to knock on the door When Talia finally got tired of waiting and before Hugh could even start knocking she yelled what the hell are we waiting for and kicked at the door opening it to the office which was more of a mess than usual?
"Talia!" Said sabae
"What None of you were going to open the door anytime soon. And we all have classes to get to plus I'm worried about alustin. I mean just look at the state of his office. I mean he lets it get messy but it's never this bad. At least stuff is usually in piles" Said Talia walking into the room motioning towards the knocked over piles of papers and books on the floor
" She is right" said godric " although I don't know if we should be entering his office unannounced, I mean what if he had wards in place. You could have been blasted back from the door or hurt yourself"
They continued their back and forth as they looked around the office for some clues and when they heard what sounded like footsteps coming from above them and the sound of humming making its way down the spiral staircase
They all stopped in their tracks looking around at each other with a silent understanding that could only have come from the amount of training made done together. They all get into a more prepared stance ready to face whatever threat was to come down the stairs and just as the tension reached a peak, someone wearing pajama pants and fluffy slippers of all things began to descend down the spiral staircase.
" Who's there? What is the meaning of all this noise? It is way too early... for..... " Alustin Had begun to make his way down the spiral staircase having being awoken by students. He had thrown on a t-shirt and a pair of slippers before making his way down from his small apartment. Dark circles lined his under eyes. Exacerbating his exhaustion as he tried to rub the sleep from his eyes. His normally messy brown hair was more Tangled and even flattened on one side from his sleep " sabae Hugh godrick Talia what are you doing here?" He said in a perplexed voice
" You were supposed to be back last night according to kanderon and when you didn't show up for morning classes we were worried. So we decided to come here" said hugh in a quiet voice
Oh I missed morning training I must have really slept late alustin thought to himself before saying " Well I do appreciate your concern. I would hope that in the future you would refrain from barging into my living quarters and partially ransacking my office now if You all please. I need to put on more appropriate attire. If you would all wait for me in the main area of the library I will meet you all there" He said slightly uncomfortable flush covering his cheeks realizing he was still in his night clothing and his students just stood there. Staring at him
Eventually they began to head for the exit and alustin Made his way back up into his flat making himself a cup of coffee before heading to the bathroom and brushing his hair out. It was going to be one long day
As they all made it to the closest sitting area they sat down looking at one another in silence before they all burst out laughing "did you see his slippers" Talia laughed
