Before the clock strikes 0

Summary:

To an unfortunate truth, True eye church hasn't been doing the best. Especially when it comes to the recent events, Medkit has joined Banhammer and it had created a downfall for the church ever since. The deity of True eye has gotten impatient with Scythe going back so much in progress; She was given 7 days to fix it; find forgiveness; or suffer the wrath of True-eye before they replace her.

This is an ongoing fanfiction, and I hope to write different POV's (mainly centered around Scythe)

Chapter 1: Day One Morning

Chapter Text

Today was Scythes final week; Her leadership was no longer welcomed in this church. Failing True eye over and over again. Failing to appease her deity, the loss was great. She hadn’t even begun or gotten close to even taking down that traitor.

The deity was getting tired. The rest of the family was doing better than her.

Scythes mind raced, thinking of how she was even going to recover from this or if she was gonna comeback from this.

She sat there on the cold hard floor of true-eyes hideout, alone. October 27th, her last day, her birthday as a matter of fact. At least her deity was kind enough to give her a last birthday.

49 years old…in 7 days.
---------------------------------------------------

Day one begins.

The time ticks slowly on the clock.
The repeated ’tick, tick, tick’ plagues Scythe's mind as she lays in her bed. Wearing a loose t-shirt with some flannel pants. She laid on her side, staring at the clock on the wall. As the clock hit 5:00 A.M. She shifted to laying on her back going back to her thoughts.

What could she do?

She had thought maybe her deity would be patient. It hadn’t been easy the past few…say… months. After Ban hammer had manipulated Medkit into joining him, it wasn’t really easy. Losing someone, a team member, didn’t really matter to her as the family had so many members that could fill their spots. It wouldn’t damage them in any way. Plus, Medkit in the end had messed up so many jobs it wasn’t a great dent in the church.

But the contract was important, Medkit was important. A doctor on the team helped a great deal, especially with Broker. Knockin’ himself into trouble.

Not the greatest healer but Medkit did do something at least.

Broker however is still recovering from the last beat down with Banny, bloody it truly was. Not only did she have to come over and save his ass. Banhammer has Medkit phighting with him. This wasn’t a one-time beat down, it was consistent.

The past few months with Medkit joining Banhammer had gotten more information about True-eye hideouts, meetings, even gear laundering. So, the source of the True eyes fund had been cut off. Struggling to find and relocate everything.

Glad she hadn’t shared the location of her home, even if it didn’t seem like a big deal.

An idea that could come to mind, if she was desperate enough, Is teaming with the low lifes in Blackrock. Not the greatest but Subspace and Hyper would prove to be helpful allies in this phight. Even if they don’t have any struggle with Banhammer, thanks to their darn gadgets and cover-ups. Subspace is lucky she doesn’t spill that information, maybe Medkit had already. Though lucky enough Subspace did have a thing against Med's! That was a good point to note.

Before coming up with a plan she will need to know what is exactly happening with Banhammer and Medkit, their relationship currently, if they are under some contract, important stuff-
She could find a way to “convince” Medkit to come back to the family.

Scythe's thoughts stop abruptly as the whole situation had reminded her of Katana. She quickly gets up, not wanting to mess into useless thoughts. Unless, if getting Medkit back doesn’t work, she could pay Theives’ den a little visit!

Scythe hurries to get in her regular attire, there is no time to waste.
