"Firefly."
Firefly immediately looked at Robin, her sleeves down. Robin knew, but she never said anything, she patted the space beside her, inviting Firefly to sit down — Firefly did.
"Little bug.." Robin hummed as she lifted up the sleeves slowly, counting all her stars. "You're as beautiful as ever." — Firefly choked back a sob.
"Aren't you upset..?"
"Why should I?"
"...I've let you down, again."
"But that's alright, isn't it?" Robin hummed as she took out a marker, drawing around all the stars. "After all that has happened, I'd be here to support you still." Robin looked at Firefly, a slight smile on her face.
"It's been a year, Miss Robin."
"Does that mean anything?"
"I don't know.."
Robin chuckled and placed the marker away, fingers on Firefly's cheeks as she rubbed it in circles, comforting her. "You know little bug, I know it's almost been a year..but yet you're so brave. Look at you.."
"...."
"You're the strongest person I ever knew."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course, I'm sure my dear."
Silence filled the room as the moonlight shined through the curtains. "These scars..." Robin trailed off as she traced her fingers across it.
"Can you feel it, my darling?"
"...?"
Robin pulled Firefly's hand and placed it on her chest, her heart beating. "Can you hear it?.." — "How my heart is beating for you?" Robin asked, Firefly nodded. "The same goes for you doesn't it, little bug?" — Firefly paused, choking back on her words.
"There's no need to be afraid anymore, little bug."
"..."
"There's only us in this world."
"I'll guide you, just follow my voice and I'll lead you out of this deep hole you dug."
"Believe in me, little bug."
Firefly's tears dropped on the sheets, wetting it. Robin smiled softly and let her have her moment. Soft sniffles filled the empty room.
"How can you always be so forgiving?"
"Why are you doing this to me, Miss Robin?"
"It's unfair.."
Robin remained silent as Firefly continued to cry. "Firefly." — Firefly looked up, sniffling. "But.. I can't even do anything, not even for you." The room fell silent, the only thing was Firefly's soft choked sobs. Robin leaned and and kissed Firefly, surprising her.
"Little bug, you will always be worth it."
"No matter what, just remember."
Robin paused and she smiled.
"I'll always be your guiding light."
Firefly sobs only got louder as Robin held her close in her embrace, comforting them with sweet words.
"Miss... Robin." Firefly managed to say, Robin stayed silent and listened to whatever firefly wanted to say.
"I.. hic I love you.." Firefly said as she held back her tears. Robin smiled.
"I love you too, my little bug."
END.
