Prompt: Kiss
Harry wandered around the grounds of Hogwarts aimlessly, while he waited for his best friend Hermione to finish her last class of the day. It was a lovely afternoon, with the sun shining bright above, a great sign of the blooming spring weather. Merlin, even the bloody birds were singing! Harry skipped along Greenhouse Three, humming a cheerful little song to himself. At last, he decided to just lay down for a minute, maybe gaze at the clouds for a while. Their sixth year has proved to be more challenging than the boy had at first expected. The Professors were bleeding them dry, saying “You will thank us next year!” after assigning another three feet of homework. Harry just wanted to relax.
As he gazed at the sky above him, his mind drifted to Hermione. His best friend of now almost six years was totally overworking herself, between her Merlin-only-knows-how many classes, new Head Girl preparatory duties, and being president of the Debate Club, he was amazed when he remembered how the girl still had found the time to go on dates, and to start dating .
Now, dating was a foreign concept for Harry Potter. As an only child, who switched foster parents more often than some people did their shoes, he never really got The Talk. He never had a sweet love story of his parents to give him a guideline or something. He didn’t even know same-sex relationships were legal until he came into the wizarding world, for crying out loud. Surprisingly many adults who chose to be foster parents tend to be severely homophobic as well, in Harry's experience.
Speaking of experience; due to the reasons listed above – and his slightly introverted tendencies, maybe – he has never dated anyone. Never been on a date with anyone. Never kissed anyone, if you really wanted to get into the details. Harry wasn't even sure of his own sexuality. How does one even figure that out?, he wondered, not for the first time. Surely no one goes around asking to kiss people to figure out if they are into it, well, them, or not.
With a heavy sigh and a tiny shake of his head, he closed his eyes and decided to take a nap, just to tide him over until Mione’s double Runes period was finally over.
When he next opened his eyes, it was to giggling and weird, breathy sounds he couldn't quite identify. As he slowly sat up, his mind finally connected the situation and the possible cause, making him freeze on the spot.
He was behind the greenhouses.
Where most of the older students came to make out with their partners or flings.
And now he could hear one such couple.
Very near.
As his face reddened to an alarming shade, he tried to silently clamber to his feet and get the fuck away, before some entitled Quidditch star tried to beat him to a pulp for seeing his girlfriend in a compromising position or whatever. His plan failed spectacularly as he didn't notice an unruly root of some plant, and promptly dived head-first into the hard ground, with an embarrassingly high shriek. The couple instantly quietened, then broke out in whispers as their footsteps trailed closer to him.
“What the actual fuck, man?” A deep voice asked from behind him, as Harry tried to gather his spilled belongings back into his backpack.
“I am so sorry, I fell asleep here, and when I woke up, you were already here,” Harry rambled as his shaking hands stuffed everything into his bag, too afraid to turn around and face the pair he had just disturbed. “And I swear I only meant to get away as fast as possible, but then this stupid plant was here, and I-” Suddenly, there was a light, airy chuckle, and Harry found his words stuck in his throat.
“See, Kai? I told you he was not creeping around. He is way too cute for that, isn't he?” The girl teased slightly, and Harry felt his ears go up in flames. He was absolutely done for. There was no way he could survive being called cute by any Quidditch player's girlfriend. If the guy doesn't beat him to death, the embarrassment will take care of it.
“He does have a cute ass.” The boy commented, then there was a sharp-sounding smack, followed by a low hiss. “Did you really have to hit me that hard? It’s true! Oi, Nia, don't you dare-!” Smack.
“Excuse his crass language, he is still a little teenage boy at heart.” The girl was suddenly kneeling at his side, and he couldn't help but let out a small eep as their hands touched when they both reached for the last notebook still lying on the grass. “Are you okay? You didn't hurt yourself too much when you fell, right?” She worried.
“N-nothing’s hurt, no.” He shook his head quickly, the motion sent his dark chocolate curls flying around his head. He stood up on shaky legs and almost offered to help the nameless student up, when he realized she was already on her feet, bouncing in place excitedly.
“Run along now, little boy, we wouldn't want you to see anything too improper . I'm sure your little heart couldn’t take it.” The guy drawled. The idea made sense, and Harry would have loved to obey, if only he didn’t feel stuck in place, as if someone had cursed him to remain glued to the same spot. ”Unless… The little boy wants to join?” Even the suggestion had his ears and face on fire again, but he couldn't get his shaky legs to take a step. To turn around and face the guy or run away from both of them, he himself wasn't sure either. The decision was shortly taken out of his hands, as the pair slowly circled him, only an arm's length away from him, their gazes pinning him down more forcefully than whatever had stuck him here before.
“Aw, can you look at me, sweetheart?” She crooned, and the boy couldn't resist flickering his eyes in her direction. The first thing he noticed was the Ravenclaw blue tie haphazardly laying across her chest, clearly loosened by someone to grant easier access to her neck that was now sporting a few blooming hickeys. Then his eyes slowly traveled higher, until he could clearly see the angelic face belonging to the kind voice. “There you are, that’s it! Now, would you really like to stay here with us, pretty boy?”
“I, uh, I have never…” He spluttered, his eyes downcast again.
“Never been with two people at the same time? Never been with a guy? Never been with a girl? You will need to be a bit more specific, give me and Nia something to work with. ”The guy laughed, his voice sarcastic but not laced with any maliciousness.
“I have never been kissed… before…” He whispered, as if afraid the truth would send these two running for the hills.
“Oh-kay, that was not what I expected.” He admitted, this time much more gently as he stepped closer. “And you want us as your first two kisses?”
“I mean, that’s not what I-”
“You could definitely go about this worse, don't worry.” Nia patted his hair out of nowhere, shutting him up effectively. “It’s actually pretty smart, now that I think about it. Are you bi?”
“I don’t-”
“Ah, silly me, of course maybe you don't know! Do you want to find out though?” She asked eagerly.
“But- You two…?” Harry was totally making this up in his head. There was no way this was real. He was so confused.
“We are a couple, yes.” Kai on his left said evenly. “We are okay with a third party occasionally joining in, though. Don't worry, you definitely wouldn't be our first." Harry squealed again in embarrassment.
“It’s okay. We will make this easy as a pie for you! You will just have to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’, how does that sound? Do you want me to kiss you?” She asked, forming each syllable slowly as she leaned in closer.
“Y-yes.” Harry gulped. This is insane!
“Do you want Kai over there to kiss you?” Her voice sent a shiver down his back.
“Y-yes?” What the hell-
“Oh, not so sure about that? Maybe that's because you haven't even seen his face yet.” She mused. “It’s okay, take a look at him and answer again.” With his pulse reaching new heights, he did as he was told, and stole a glance of Kai. The guy was a Slytherin, but that was the least of Harry’s problems. Because he was handsome. Delicious, as the girls in his year would say. He hid his face behind his hands as he rapidly nodded yes with his head. Nia chuckled and cooed at him.
“Alright, then with that out of the way, I think it would be best if you started with me.” She said nonchalantly. “Kai will guide you all the way through it, so don’t fret about a thing!”
“That’s right, I will be right here. ” He almost jumped out of his skin as hot breath grazed his ear and a strong arm encircled his waist to pull him back against a firm chest. Nia stepped closer to them as well and her hands slowly lifted to cradle his face softly, until he was sandwiched between the couple in a very intimate position. The girl in front of him slowly lifted his head, until they could look into each other's eyes.
“That’s right, eye contact is important to ease you into the mood. Keep it up.” Kai directed, squeezing his hips reassuringly. ”Now slowly wet your lips, just a tiny bit.” He copied the same motion he saw Nia’s tongue make, gliding across her upper then lower lip. ”That’s right. Now place your hands somewhere comfortable, and find something that feels natural.”
“Can you…?” He flailed with his hands nervously. Kai heaved a sigh, but it was more exasperated than anything. His big, warm hands guided his smaller ones confidently, one to Nia’s waist, the other to rest at the juncture of her neck and shoulders.
“See, much better now. You will slowly lean forward,” Harry could feel the pressure intensify at his back, and realized Kai was leaning with him, not willing to let even an inch of space between their bodies. ”And place a small kiss on her lips first. No tongue yet.” He warned, as if Harry had any idea how his tongue was even supposed to get into the situation. He decided to focus on the task at hand first. He gulped, before leaning just a bit further forward, barely letting his lips touch Nia’s before trying to hastily retreat. But Kai was there, a heavy weight at his back, and there was no way to pull back now. His lips connected with the girl’s plum ones again, and now he just let himself feel. It was nothing mind-blowing, just a single point of contact between two bodies, yet it seemed to send sparks careening through his body. Then, just as he was about to relax, gentle hands pulled him a few inches away from Nia. He honestly felt ready to whimper. Maybe he did. Just a tiny bit.
“It will feel much better when you learn how to use your tongue too, little boy. So listen close now.” Kai assured him, his voice dripping like the sweetest honey. He proceeded to describe in detail how he should slowly slip his tongue between his partner's parted lips, to move the muscle along the other’s, and let them glide together. Harry could feel his pants start to tent, but was too embarrassed to say anything instead praying to all and every deity out there that the pair wouldn't notice. When the girl in front of him pressed closer, slotting their bodies together in all the right places, he knew he could kiss all his prayers goodbyes.
“Go on. Try it.” Try me, the tone suggested, as Nia almost purred the words directly on his lips. As their mouths found each other again, Harry tried to remember all the pointers he was given earlier. To first lick along the lower, then upper lip, maybe even bite down a little – he didn't dare, but vowed not to forget either way – before moving on to the seam of the lips. How he should try to pry in with small licks until he was granted access. But once he was inside, his brain seemed to freeze. It was warm and plush and tasted like strawberry. This was Heaven. Nia's tongue started to move then, playfully pushing against his own, and he was quick to try and reciprocate.
He had no idea how much time must have been spent like that, with Kai hugging him from behind, grounding him as he did his best to kiss his girlfriend. When they came up for air, Harry was sure his cheeks must be rosy and his lips swollen as hell, but he didn't mind one bit. The deep chuckle that reverberated through his chest pulled him out of his thoughts.
“I see you have become quite acquainted with her sweet little mouth. You sure you want me next?” His voice held a dark promise, of things Harry had yet to discover.
“Yes please.” He responded, clear and eager, if a little tentative. He had much to learn still.
