Chapter Text

Skaar’s POV

Flower fields, tall grasses, and glistening palaces.

Skaar comes from luxury in his dreams.

After years of lonely disappointment, he’s drawn to what he doesn't know.

Skaar. He doesn't even really know where his name comes from. Only that it reminds him of the planet on which a madman created him with the DNA of someone his new world considers a hero. Skaar knows he is a clone. Made of Hulk, blood spilled and taken from the Hulk while under the Grandmaster.

He supposes he should be grateful for the rescue of his unwilling DNA provider, Bruce Banner. And with the help of Bruce Banner’s cousin, Skaar’s aunt, Jennifer Walters, he lives amongst other heroes and is treated kindly…by his ‘dad’s’ friends.

Undoubtedly, his life is better now- for the most part. He lives in Mexico, in a large home far too big for just him and his dad.

Skaar knows it was created for a family- just not in the way Bruce had expected. He guesses it has something to do with the obscure nods to a red-haired heroine. Bruce doesn't talk about that though, not really. So neither does Skaar.

It’s taken a few years for him to adjust to using the title, ‘dad.’ Bruce treats him like a son, and Skaar supposes life could be worse. He’s conscious and treated like a human on Earth when he could be viewed as a monster; Something his father was referred to after losing control of his greener side multiple times.

But the green… no one he goes to school with is green. And so peers compare Skaar to his dad, more than they should and much to Skaar’s chagrin.

So much for a changed and enlightened world. They're caught in their own ways and ideas even still. Skaar is a ‘clone’, so he must be just as awkward as Bruce.

But in Skaar’s dreams, he's less alone. In his dreams, the pretty girl from school notices him. In his dreams, the teachers avoid comparing Skaar to his father. He isn't required to ace his classes by teachers or dismissed as a ‘junior dork’ by classmates.

But the dreams…how often turn into nightmares!

They do so tonight. What starts as a peaceful scene with his High School crush turns into a news article come to life;

Skaar loses control. His ‘green’ takes over, horrifying the sweet girl with a roar that resembles his father’ and it's coming from him. He is the monster.

That's one way to get noticed…

Skaar wakes in a cold sweat to a ringing phone. He bangs the alarm clock to silence it.

Notes:

Yes, its a Goofy Movie.

I'm pulling my own agenda- Skaar is a clone. Bruce loved Natasha. No it's not a make or break for plot. But if you're new to my nonsense, (welcome) this is what you're getting into.
