Work Text:
Hermione glanced at Severus, his dark features accentuated by the firelight.
He halted his marking, lips twisting in amusement as their gaze met. "Eyes on your work, Granger."
She laughed. "Eyes on your own."
"I could mark these essays blindfolded." Severus gestured for her parchment. "As I suspected," he smirked, scanning it. "You're too blinkered. You've missed a section."
Hermione bristled. "I haven’t missed anything."
She snatched at the essay, but he held it aloft, his eyes challenging.
"Not missed anything?"
Severus' hopeful expression caused her breath to catch.
A slow smile formed on Hermione's lips. "Maybe just one thing."
