“FUSHIGUROOOO?! KUGISAKIIIII?!” Yuji’s panicked scream echoed throughout the wooded landscape as he looked for his companions whom he had been separated from not to long ago all the while being chased by the curse they were supposed to exorcising. Unfortunately for Yuji, he hasn’t been able to get the hang of his cursed energy yet, and so here we are in the current situation, with him having to flee after failing his ambush on the spirit.
The mission was supposed to be easy, they were initially dispatched BECAUSE it was easy due to the fact the cursed spirit was still a cursed womb by the time they were informed that they were going. However… by the time they arrived the cursed womb had already turned into a cursed spirit, how fun! Despite that, the trio decided to power on, and somewhere along the way they ended up getting split up.
The spirit continued its pursuit of the newbie sorcerer. He’d throw punches at it on occasion which erm… didn’t exactly deter the thing but it did slow it down, even just a bit. Just as the spirit closed in, a familiar looking divine dog tackled it just in time, its owner and Nobara followed close behind. Yuji’s face immediately lit up in relief and happiness after he realized who had saved his butt. He looked at the curse for a second before turning back to his friends, a big goofy grin on his face as he thanked them profusely, to which they responded with a shake of their head accompanied with irritated grimaces.

“You’re both coming whether you like it or not!” Nobara was at it again, another unplanned hangout right after a mission, which coerced a collective groan from the two boys. She had gotten passes to visit a flower garden that held an array of different blossoms. Usually, Yuji would be up for little group activities like this, but after that whole thing an hour ago, he didn’t feel like it. But of course, Nobara dragged them out in spite of their protest, as per usual.
Once they had arrived, Nobara immediately split up from the two, fawning over how pretty the petals of the flowers were before taking pictures of them and posting them online. That left Megumi and Yuji, who both stood there with small frowns until Yuji took initiative and began to walk around with Megumi in tow.
The flowers were indeed very pretty, but they didn’t really catch Yuji’s eye all that much. Occasionally, he’d tap Megumi’s shoulder and point at a flower that looked mildly interesting to him. Megumi would then talk about the flower briefly, showing the surprising amount of knowledge he had on flowers, and of course, Yuji would listen intently, even though he didn’t understand half of what Megumi was saying.
Eventually, in the corner of his eye, Yuji spotted a particular flower. It was pretty, it’s vibrant yet soft color of periwinkle and mix of yellow and blue in the middle drew him to it. “Pansy”, the sign next to the flowers read “Pansy”. He then walked over to the flower bed, with Megumi following close behind. He took a second to admire its beauty before looking back at his companion with a smile. “It reminds me of you.” He said with a small laugh. The sudden comment surprised Megumi, but before he could even respond, Yuji plucked one from the flower bed and put it in Megumi’s hair. Once he did, he eyed Megumi up and down before grinning.
Megumi’s mouth opened to say something, but nothing came out. He was speechless, he hadn’t expected Yuji to be so bold. He took a moment to regain his composure, averting his gaze from Yuji before looking back at him and coughing away the slight flush on his face.
“Itadori, you’re not allowed to pluck any of the flowers.”
“Oh… shoot.”
