Chapter Text
Drew’s parents are never at home, and when they are, no one’s aloud over, Liam and Henry have asked about it but didn’t want to push drew to tell them about it if it was personal
What happen you may ask, here’s what happened
“Drew, why are your parents never home?” Henry asked getting an elbow jabbed into his side by Liam “you can’t ask people that!” Liam yell whispered
“Uh, they are home sometimes you guys are just never here when they are” drew said, technically not a lie the dromies are never there when his parents are home
They didn’t say anything else after that, henry and Liam have talked about it when it’s just them, but they decided they shouldn’t question it because it felt wrong to talk about drew when he’s not there, looking back maybe they should’ve
It’s about a month after that, Drew’s parents are home(finally) after about 2 months, but all they do are neglect him and ignore him, the only reason they talk, or even acknowledge him is if he’s done something wrong, then they’ll either yell, hit, or lock him in a room for a few hours and take away his privilege to eat and say he looks fat anyways
Drew hates when his parents are home, not only because of what happens, because when they’re home all they do is yell so he can’t have his friends over, that is until his aunt finds out his parents leave him alone for weeks at a time
It was on a Friday his aunt, uncle and cousin(milly) come over unannounced and since they have a spare key they just let themselves in “ASHLEY? TOM? ANDREW?” His aunt lily yells
Drew runs down the stairs with long sleeve shirt and sweatpants “aunt, uncle; what are you doing here?” Drew asks “we thought we would surprise you guys, but it seems your parents aren’t home” Drew’s aunt says
“Hiiiiii drewwww!!!!” Milly says “hey mills, but yeah they aren’t home; any reason other than you wanted to surprise us that y’all are here” drew asks
“Not really just wanted to see y’all I guess, when will they be home?” His uncle asks “what day is it?” Drew asks “Friday” his uncle answers “then they should be home in about a week in a half” drew says
“That’s so long do they usually leave you home a lone this long?” His aunt asks “yeah?” ‘ usually longer’ drew says deciding to leave the second part out
“That’s not okay drew, they shouldn’t do that” his aunt says while millys just nodding along with what her mom says, drew is generally confused he didn’t know anyone who really cared that his parents weren’t home, besides Liam and Henry
“I HAVE AND IDEA!! CAN DREW STAY WITH US PLEASE ,PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!???” Milly says, Milly and drew have a very close relationship, to the point milly knows why drew bully’s the club, the music club doesn’t know Milly is Drew’s cousin though, or that they hang out, but the dromies know about it, jake knows it since he hung out with them, but he doesn’t know they are super close
“Sure why not, I’ll text his parents though to make sure they know where he is” millys mom says after looking at her husband and him nodding his head
“YAYYY!!” Milly says obviously very excited, and so is drew, it’s nice to go somewhere on the weekends besides staying in his cramped up house (although it’s a huge house he doesn’t like how he knows every spot and room in the house)
They go to millys house and use the spare room to make into Drew’s room when his parents aren’t home, since usually no one ever stays in that room they told drew to get some of his stuff to put in there, they still don’t know what happens when his parents are home, but it’s okay at least he doesn’t have to be in that house while his parents aren’t there
Drew hates his house, he hates the bathroom and his bedroom especially, how in the bathroom he used to get blood everywhere and how many times he’s had to patch up himself from his self destructive tendencies and what his father does to him, he hates his room, because of what has happened on his bed, what his mother has done to him he hates how every time he gets on his bed he has memory’s of what happens on there, he sleeps on the couch when his parents aren’t there and on the floor when they are because of it
It’s nice to have a totally new room and bed and bathroom, it’s nice to sleep in a house where he knows he’s safe
