Yeona walked into the cafeteria, she was still a bit tired since her parents fought again, she couldn't get that much sleep, but atleast she could finish her homework. Yeona looked around the cafeteria trying to find an empty table, she did want to talk to people but Yronica and her friend group were just too much for her. She walked to the table placed down her lunch bag and slowly opened it, she ate while listening to music with her earphones, suddenly a brown-haired boy walked to the table, Yeona squinted trying to remember who that boy was, and suddenly she saw a bandage on his nose, it was Kyle, he was kind of famous in this school since he kind of gets bullied a lot of times.
“Hey, uhm, is this seat taken?”
She would normally lie and say no but Kyle went through too much bullying already.
“No, you can sit with me if you want.”
Kyle placed his lunch bag on the table and sat down. He grabbed an earphone and accidentally played one of Star*struck's songs out loud. She never knew that Kyle listened to the same songs as her. To be honest, Lakeview High wasn’t interested in Star*struck that much. Kyle quickly put the phone on mute and accidentally dropped his earphones out of embarrassment.
"Sorry about that,"
“Why are you sorry?” Yeona would ask in a light-hearted way.
"It isn’t good for boys to listen to girl songs… At least that's what my father says… Sorry-"
“There's no such thing as girl or boy songs, it's just songs. Plus I love listening to Star*struck too! What’s your bias?”
“Bias…? I guess uhm Han-Gyeol…?”
Yeona squealed out of happiness.
“Mine too! Do you wanna listen to his songs while eating lunch?”
Kyle would talk in an uplifting voice
“Sure!”
Kyle gave the right side of the earphones to Yeona, and he used the left side. He unmuted the song, and they listened to Star*struck songs together. And with that, an unlikely bond of friendship started.
