Work Text:

Sounds of space doors were shutting as Sara, in her cherry-red spacesuit, ran across the spaceship, desperately trying to hide from the imposter. Alas, she came to a screeching halt. The door wouldn't open. The damn door wouldn't open.

"Ngh--ah! Come on!" She tried swiping her card in a last-ditch effort to make it past the next door to alert the others. "Come-on-you-stupid-door."

The lights flashed as suddenly they flickered off. And back on- like something out of a horror film.

"Come on!" Sara whimpered as she kept on swiping the card, but to no avail, it kept on beeping, denying her entrance.

Until it finally opened to reveal, Leah, her partner-in-crime in her lime-green spacesuit, swiping her card, to open her door.

"Leah!" Sara chuckled, hugging Leah tightly.

"What are you doing here?" Leah smirked.

"I was caught up. The doors wouldn't let me pass."

"You're lucky I was here at the right moment." She rubbed her card in Sara's face jokingly, as Sara rolled her eyes, chuckling as they walk to the team meeting table.

"Thank you!" Sara sighed in relief, "I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't shown up to help me."

"What can I say? I'm always there when you need me." Leah smiled softly, checking her watch for alerts of any sightings of the imposter.

"So....who do you think is the imposter?"

Leah looked at Sara and off into the distance.

"Honestly, I don't know. You never know who you can trust."

Sara nodded.

"So many candidates."

"I'm leaning towards Blue. He's kind of sus." Sara replied.

"Blue?"

"Yeah."

"Why Blue?"

"I dunno. He always leaves team meetings first, he always looks worried, he never comments during meetings-"

Leah looks at Sara with a confused but yearnful look. She looks like she has something to say but doesn't want to say it in fear of getting something wrong.

"I personally think it could be purple."

Sara waits for a reasoning.

"She always gives me a mean look, like she's waiting for something bad to happen to me. And she always votes me off and tries to convince others to do so."

"Well-" Sara sneers, chuckling. "I don't think she HATES you."

"But maybe she's just wishing on my downfall. So...in short, either it's Blue or Purple."

They enter a more secluded area of the spaceship. Sara looks over at Leah.

"What will you do if someone votes you out?"

"Whatwouldn'tIdo?" Leah whispers.

"Hmm?"

"Uhh-" Leah clears her throat, "I'm not sure what I would do. I think I would be really angry. You know me-- I'm harmless."

Sara turns to Leah, "What if I voted you out?"

Leah's smile frowns.

"Why would you do that?"

"I wouldn't! I would never but let's say if it did happen, what would you do?"

Leah looks away and Sara tries to reach for her attention.

"Leah..."

Leah looks back at her with a blank face.

"Woah, I was just joking, Leah. No need to take it so literal."

"I can't let that happen."

Leah pulls out a knife from behind her back....
