Chapter Text
There he was. You could see him from where you were sitting in the stands, watching their ceremony buzzing at your seat waiting to go see him. A year and a half. 18 long months away. You were used to some time away from each other because of his tours but this was torture for you both. When the ceremony concluded and the soldiers who had just gotten discharged were free to go you practically ran down the stairs and to the front where they were exiting from.
You ran your hands through your hair and smoothed your nice top and pants nervously awaiting your boyfriend's face. Then you saw him, his face as angelic as ever even with short hair. You couldn't hold your excitement as you ran over and engulfed him in a hug. "Yeo." You whispered as you felt his embrace for the first time in what felt like a lifetime. He was bigger, stronger and you could feel it when he hugged you back tightly lifting you up in the air and spinning a few times. "Jagija, I missed you so much." He said with a huge smile, you brought a hand up to his face and admired his tanned skin. "You have no idea how happy I am right now." You smiled and put your head in his chest. The two of you stood there until there were shouts and you were both wrapped into a group hug.
The first person you could make out was Mingi and thats when you knew the boys had found you. You laughed at the sudden presence of 7 other lively men and allowed them to take Yeosang out of your hands and toss him around like a new toy. "One more down!" Wooyoung shouted, still in his uniform, as he wasn't discharged for another 5 months. You gave him a hug and kissed his cheek. "You better come back in one piece you here." You pointed your finger at him making him laugh then saluting you all seriously. Something you're still not used to seeing from him, making you giggle a bit.
The next half hour was chaos as you gave Yeo time with his brother before they had to return to their positions. When they all said their goodbyes to each other the 7 of them enveloped you in a huge group hug before they saluted Yeo one more time and left together. That left you and Yeosang. Just the two of you, at least thats what it felt like even if there were dozens of other couples around and you both knew the reporters were going outside the gates getting whatever they could. He took your hand in his and raised it up to his lips to press a soft kiss on the back of your hand.
"Ready to go Mrs.Kang?" He winked and you blushed deeply. He'd never called you that before, since you were still just dating, but it made your heart flutter nonetheless so you nodded and replied. "Been ready, Mr.Kang" With a wink. You walked hand in hand to your car and you didn't let his hand go the entire drive home.
