Summary:
What if the trees felt it too?
A drabble set in that lovely grove in the Southlands during the log scene of episode 6 (Udûn).

Work Text:
The forest was young, at least as far as forests go. But there were trees in the wood with the knowledge of centuries preserved in the rings of their trunks. And even the youngest among them carried the memory from long ago when the Giver of Fruits first sowed this land with seed and nut.
So when the she-elf and the man who was not a man sat beneath the canopy, softly speaking of words of binding, that first familiar swell of power stirred in their roots and rippled through their leaves. The forest grew still and the trees listened.
