“haha, you seem like a nice person to chat to duke! Sure I can go to the party!”
”alrighty! It’s so gonna be great seeing you, ok I will chat to you later on!, i have to meet up with someone!”
”ok! I will talk to you later on, take care!”
duke and the person she had been talking to (her name is grace) had separated their ways to go to where they wanted to be at, duke is so excited for two reasons, first there is going to be a cool party in university since it’s the summer holidays and secondly..he might have his go time with his new crush!
duke and grace met at a classroom, they haven’t chatted since they are completely strangers but duke can’t help but admired her beauty, duke was that type of person to fall in love first, he doesn’t wanna admit it but it’s indeed true.
he wanted to impress her by making a coffee for her, this may sound a bit extreme since the guy just only met the girl of his dreams but she did mentioned about how much she liked coffee and duke who would do anything to impress someone decided to do it.
but he would need help on how to make it more unique..but then a name went to his mind…Pamela Paquette
after all, she is the only person that duke knows that makes such perfect coffee and he is sure that he is going to have fun!
Pamela was at the uni kitchen making up some coffee, she was feeling a bit tired since she woked up after sleeping a bit late, this was because she was streaming a show she has liked and she wanted to finish the season before going to sleep.
and this morning she could not help but thirst for something hot, creamy, sweet…and lovely.
”Ok, just need to find the chocolate powder and I can give this one a stir..jeez, I really need a lot of energy, I haven’t not even made coffee yet” Pamela spoke to herself with a tired expression.
”Pamela! Just the person I wanted to see!” A voice called out and the french barista turns around to see that duke was here.
”oh..hey duke! How can I help you with?” Pamela politely asks him.
”well, remember when we had a deal where if I get to promo your coffee drinks at a party of mine and you have to do what I want” duke questions pamela and the girl replied with a nod.
”well…there is this girl I like and I wanna impress you! Give her the love! Admire her beauty! have the courage to ask her like a man-“ duke goes on and on as he fantasies about his love for-
“yes yes! I get it! You like her!”
”…oh my apologies I went a bit overboard did I?”
”yeah but I will help you make coffee for her (even though you can already do that but lucky for you I am bored-) just listen to what I have to do and things will be ok.” Pamela says with a calm tone and duke nods in agreement.

“ok let’s make this mocha coffee that I love to make but we are going to add toffee to make it sweeter” Pamela said as she gets the ingredients out.
”she likes sweets so this could really help!” Duke said with confidence in himself, as he grabs a cup and puts it in front of him.
”alright, you gotta add a bit of coffee and put it in the cup” pamela says as she puts the coffee powder in the cup with a tablespoon, she watches as duke does it only for him to spill some in the table, she could not help but smile and giggle at him.
“I done it!”
”Good, now you should put the hot water on and pour it in the cup” Pamela spoke as she does exactly what she just said, duke gently takes the kettle and filled up the cup to the top.
”this is so hot..just like her-“
”Focus! Now what we are going to do is add a bit of caramel to the cup.” Pamela said snapping duke out of his mind.
”wait I thought we were using tofee?” Duke said with confusion.
“yeah but I wanna say it for later, did you do it?” pamela replied to duke.
”watch this!” Duke said as he gets a bit of caramel powder and puts it in and gives it a sit to it, he tastes it to see if it’s good and his smile gave the answer away.
”this is so sweet!”
”coffee is meant to be sweet, that’s what i love about it!”
”i can tell why you enjoyed making coffee.” Duke smiles at the barista in which she smiled back.
”well it’s my passion and its always going to be my passion” and then duke blushes a little bit, he doesn’t know why he feeling this way, he liked grace so why is he..falling in love with her?
”well..you know if you want we could go to that party if you want, I’m not going into be busy” pamela questions duke in which he smiled at that.
”don’t see why not!” duke smiled at pamela and he gave her a hug, Pamela hugged back the short guy and they started to enjoy it, they later on continued making coffee together.
minutes has pass and the two are sitting down talking about random stuff.
”so are you certain that grace will like me back?”
”well maybe so and maybe not I guess.”
”she probably has a partner but im hoping she doesn’t”
”well you just gotta think out..anyways so have you heard of this reality show total drama, I once auditioned for the show but I was uninvited” pamela spoked to duke as she drinks her coffee.
”yeah, the new seasons are awesome, my favourite has to be the hockey bros!” Duke smiles at Pamela.
”aww they are such puppy-coded!” Pamela laughs a bit and smiles while she drinks more
“Oh shut up” duke playfully swipe Pamela’s hat, pamela and duke then fight for the hat in a joking manner.
”give it back!”
”make me!”
they were having so much fun together playing around with each other.
…not knowing that grace saw them and has tears in her face, she was already crying and she tried to stay strong, ever since she met duke she had been falling in love.
she only broke up with her boyfriend because she found out she’s bi in a not so supporting manner and she wanted nothing to do with him, she was betrayed about what the words her ex has said to her.
Duke was very sweet and special to grace, the girl knew she had a chance with him.
she has her phone number written on a paper so she could give it to him but she couldn’t..she really chickened out..she wanted to feel love.
she likes duke delsalvo and now she will never be with him and she regret not telling him about her feelings early on..
